Firstly Qatar was not the founder of Hamas, Israel was through Mossad. Where is the evidence Qatar are funding Hamas ? I’ve seen a deal of evidence to support South American states funding Hamas but nothing about Qatar funding them. The head of Hamas is certainly residing in Qatar with the support of the Qatari Royal family, but that does not mean they are protecting the entire organisation.

Al Mathaf is not only a hotel but also a reminder of Gaza´s ancient history – it contains an exquisite little museum of archaeology, collected by the owner.
The hotel in itself is very beautifully built in traditional style and has a spatious restaurant, a cafeteria towards the sea and several meeting halls for different functions. The rooms are large and beautifully decorated. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The only disadvantage is the distance to the city center.
