In the days before computers, we could use health services.
We would get letters about hospital appointments and then turn up and, after a wait, we would be seen.
So the need to cancel appointments because of an IT outage sounds to me like an excuse for an extra day off and a chance for consultants to improve their golf handicap.
In certain circumstances it would be sad – pitiful – but you can see they have been researching him on using steps.
It so reminds me of looking after my mum in early stage dementia when I’d stand behind her on stairs ready to catch her and telling her to ‘concentrate ‘ on each step …..
I guess the next stage for him is the fall – fracture – pneumonia …..
At 80, my mum broke out of a supposedly ‘secure’ accommodation unit and made her way to her previous flat. Just saying. Oh, and they tried to blame that on me, even though I had no idea where she was. It made sense though, her GP blamed me for not knowing she had dementia because, of course, I’m the medical professional.
For balance, my wife’s cancer treatment on the NHS this last year has been phenomenal.

“Bog off, tosser. A free society does not threaten a guy with years in gaol for writing a poem. If you don’t know that that’s wrong, you should just cut to the chase and appoint yourself mutasarrıfa of Erdogan’s neo-Ottoman sanjak of Berlin.”
Telegraph reports that Royal Parks website describes The Albert Memorial as ‘offensive ‘ … the comments you can imagine …
But what I’d like to know is -who – exactly – finds it offensive and why – and who exactly – authorised the website and why ?
People should be individually accountable – particularly for public bodies such as Royal Parks .
I suppose the test will be whether the website is changed – I think I can guess no one will be ‘brave ‘ enough in case they are accused of being a witch – sorry racist – wrong century there….
Yeah! Lets have more Indians in the country to join in the early part of the war against the indigenous population.
“Expulsion of Asians from Uganda.
…..with Amin accusing a minority of the Indians of disloyalty, non-integration, and commercial malpractice, claims that Indian leaders disputed.[5] Amin defended the expulsion by arguing that he was “giving Uganda back to ethnic Ugandans”.[6]
[*”Commercial malpractice” – “Back-handers” for the uninitiated.]
Many of those who were expelled were citizens of the United Kingdom and Colonies and 27,200 emigrated to the United Kingdom. Of the other refugees who were accounted for, 6,000 went to Canada, 4,500 refugees ended up in India and 2,500 went to nearby Kenya or to Pakistan.[6]”
The presence of Indians in Uganda was the result of deliberate choices by the British administration that ruled Uganda from 1894 to 1962.[8] They were brought to the Uganda Protectorate by the British to “serve as a buffer between Europeans and Africans in the middle rungs of commerce and administration”.[6]
I looks like Civil War between the FBI and Congress.
According to emails from Congressmen. In the Trump assassination attempt there were 11 shots fired. The first three shots were fired by Crooks using an AR-15 rifle. Rounds four and five were from a three man Secret Service team in the building that Crooks was on top of, killing Crooks. Shot 6 was taken from the Water Tower and hit Trump’s ear. Shot 7 and 8 were taken from approximately 1100-1500 feet away. The last three shots came from the sniper team on the roof behind Trump. Shot nine killed an FBI assassin on top of the Water Tower, shot ten and shot eleven missed another FBI man on top of the Water Tower.
The bullet that clipped Trumps ear was caught on camera and was filmed from different angles, which means that the exact three-dimensional position of the bullet is known for Trumps ear and were the bullet hit the ground. An FBI officer has told congress that they traced the trajectory of the bullet to the top of the Water Tower. There are also witnesses who say they saw two gunman on top of the Water Tower. One was shot dead by a police sniper working for the secret service team, this office has gone into hiding and fears for his life, the other FBI sniper got away in a SUV which was registered to the Department of Agriculture.
The FBI has the ballistics reports, but the FBI has declined a request by Congress for the FBI Director Christopher Wray to testify next week about the attempted assassination of President Trump, and evidence that the FBI was complicit in the assassination, with one dead FBI officer. Congress is facing a full-blown constitutional crisis with the realisation that the FBI has gone rogue, and is desperately trying to destroy and hide evidence from Congress.

Looks like greasy Starmer is planning to empty jails of loads of arseholes to prove his woke credentials.
He will get away with it because the future victims of these animals will be people who don’t count when it comes to supporting the Labour Party so it’s a win-win for Labour and Starmer.
In a follow-up to yesterday’s riots in Leeds: a white English woman was ARRESTED for criticising the migrant rioters, but none of the dozens of rioters.
Actually news says
#1 yesterday There was an arrest of a woman on suspicion of a public order offence, she was *released* and given a conditional caution
#2 Today talk of 9 arrests
“Earlier today, officers arrested a further five people on suspicion of violent disorder. They remain in police custody at this time.
Four people who were initially arrested in connection with the violent disorder have been bailed pending further investigation”
#3 A man has been arrested over the bus fire ..Romanian name
“Iustin Dobre, aged 37, of Clifton Mount, Harehills, Leeds, has been charged with violent disorder and arson reckless as to endanger life.
He has been remanded to appear at Leeds Magistrates’ Court on Monday (July 22).”
A reader in Bradford recalled asking a West Yorkshire officer on the street that day why the various “Muslim community leaders” weren’t being arrested for incitement to murder. The officer said they’d been told to “play it cool”. The calls for blood got more raucous. My correspondent asked his question again. The policeman told him to “F— off, or I’ll arrest you.” http://www.steynonline.com/6296/the-churchill-bust
Channel 27 Portillo marvels at the wealth of Baku
Next visits the nearby oil refinery and says it pumps 1.2 million barrels a day
Crude oil is $80/barrel so Azerbaijan earns the best part of $80 million per day from that BP oil extraction.
Meanwhile Starmer forbids new oil fields in the UK.
So we will be poir whilst Baku is rich.
CAS-4933135-ZV3V7F: The omission is the most powerful form of lie …
Dear Marianna Spring (BBC wages paid under threat of prosecution),
As I’ve had to look at your BBC news and use other sources to determine that your news is not news but selective editorial opinion I’d like to request that I have a refund for the last 4 years plus get the BBC free from now on.
Please let me know how I can go about this as I am willing to create a full list of articles that I’ve had to investigate plus time taken for me to check your fact checker whilst realising that the BBC intentionally removes news rather than incorrectly report on it, uses images to sway opinion or misleads with the main titles hoping no one reads the full article.
‘Omission is the greatest form of lie.’
CAS-4987700-SY1FTF : BBC NewsWatch says boredom with pro-Brexit march.
CAS-4844672-N8FDYY: Update on the MP Expenses 2009 scandal in 2018.
CAS-4939547-J71Z1V: Here’s hoping Ireland do the right thing G.Lineker.
CAS-4937378-YKMWBJ: BBC not reporting ‘Day of Freedom’ March 06may2018.
CAS-4906141-BFJQL0: I take offence that presenters promote their books.
CAS-4892811-C820SC: I am offended that I have to pay the BBC TV Tax.
CAS-4824332-633N1P: What happened in Italy was not covered …
CAS-4933135-ZV3V7F: The omission is the most powerful form of lie …
CAS-6005141-S1V9D1: Not seen a report on the UK Governments Covid19
Let me know how to go about resolving the issue of paying for something that wastes my time as I have to check each story rather than rely on its accuracy.
Plenty of stuff coming out about the blue party trying to figure out why it lost the election . There are even future ‘leadership candidates ‘ popping up …
It’s unfortunate that they still got so many votes – but I suppose those who voted blue didn’t know about reform or didn’t want to risk voting for them .
The blues think they are still the opposition party – when really there isn’t one ..yet .
But as conditions deteriorate Reform will grow – as long as it doesn’t land up in its own civil war . But I reckon if mr trump is rightly elected Reform will get a well deserved lift … even if – to the US – the UK is a failing state across so many areas ….
I’ve now heard several convincing explanations that the real reason Biden’s hanging on is crazy demands for cash and immunity for extended clan members…. initial offers apparently rejected ….
– could be a fun spectacle if negotiations leak.
Monday – that dim USSS director is up in front of Congress – hopefully some fireworks there…..
What a bent world they live in to celebrate these aberrations of humanity and present them as mainstream acceptable thinking to be lauded. Who the hell are the BBC employing to report on this in such adoring terms and why?
‘Cross-culture love story explores secret LGBTQ+ world’
From what I’ve been told by my friend whose alcoholic son was swallowed up by that world in Manchester, it’s a very nasty and very unpleasant world to be in.
But I’ll bet my house the film doesn’t go anywhere near that.
As an aside, don’t you hate these Chinese torches flooding the market where you have got to click through about three or four variations of flashing lights just to turn the fuckers off?
I’ve got something similar Digg, which has a head band, so that I can stick it on my forehead to see what I’m mucking up under the sink!
Trouble is, it works with the wave of a hand, so just as foul water is gushing out all over me, the blasted thing switches off, and I get drenched in the dark!
This is all despite the BBC doing these ridiculous programmes about MGBGT kids, that nobody watches!
Good luck with that darling. Sorry for your trouble not of your making but as far as I am aware what you wish is not medically feasible. So in typical bBBC fashion lets make a story about nothing matching reality.
Sounds like a dystopian nightmare? Nope, this is our beloved NHS. Bash those pots and pans:
” So, there you have it folks. Rather than using our money on old-fashioned things like treating cancer patients or accident victims, ‘our’ NHS is splashing our cash on sticking dicks on chicks. ”
Remind me what country it is that we live in: West Indies supporters enjoy the action at Trent Bridge in Nottingham during the third day of the second Test against England (feature photo frontpage of The Observer) – like its weekday iteration, the Guardian, the main interest in sport, as well as the arts, would appear to be as handy vehicles for identity politics.
The gynaeceum which is our BBC News staff like The Observer for their top pick of the nation’s Sunday titles. Speaking of the politicisation of sport and the arts…
Labour makes working-class children key to school reform… Minister pledges more sport and drama (The Observer) – and all Rishi Sunak had to offer was more double maths lessons of a Friday afternoon.
Also on the The Observer menu: Food monthly… Quiche, dips and ice-cream: the experts’ pick of picnic foods… Nigel Slater’s summer salads
Bringing up the rear of the BBC online press line-up – call them beggers at the feast – is of course the jokey blokey Daily Star Sunday where there’s: Breaking news… Telly star Craig Charles is fed up of poncy foods and reckons we should go bak to sticking the likes of Findus Crispy Pancakes on our plates… Star Craig blasts middle-class foods like avacado and urges us to eat 70s classics
There’s an amusing little celeb-based juxtaposition of headlines on the frontpage of the Star: while mourning the passing of that old school snooker champion nicknamed Dracula: Snooker legend Ray dead at 91 – we have in close proximity former Eastenders actor: Dyer: Ghost relatives watch me – spooky.
This one sounds like it’s begging for a punchline: What BBC exec said – teases the Sun on Sunday…
Strictly boss: Gio is a shocker – Mr AsI has jokingly likened the BBC’s Strictly dance trainers to the US Marine boot camp drill sergeant as portrayed in the movie Full Metal Jacket
Giovanni Pernice’s behaviour towards Stictly partner Amanda Abbington was described… as “uncceptable and shocking”… crude sexual remarks to the actress… Probe hears sex jibe claim – without even the courtesy of a reach-around? (There’s one for our movie buffs)
Fortunately, in these days of sex equality, apparently, what’s bad for the goose is likewise bad for the gander: TV show rocked again… Now female Strictly pro hit by claims of bullying… Celeb says she screamed in his face in rage (Sunday Mirror) – the word snowflake springs to mind.
Men, eh?
Man charged over torching of Leeds bus… Iustin Dobre, 37, of Clifton Mount, Harehills, has been charged with violent disorder and arson reckless as to endanger life, relating to the torching of the bus, police said. (BBC) – local man protesting the local bus service no doubt.
Our politicians look after themselves first and foremost: Unprecedented number of threats… Panic alarms given to all new MPs over safety fears (Mail on Sunday)
Geo-engineering is subject to conspiracy theories, but could it help save the planet? In what is already a £103bn ($135bn) industry, scientists around the world, including in the UK, are researching geo-engineering – ways of manipulating the climate to tackle global warming. (BBC) – remember folks, it’s not a conspiracy theory, if it’s true.
On Friday evening, a vigil was held in Harehills which “passed off peacefully”, police said. (BBC) – but no one died… so now we’ve got vigils for a wrecked police car? Light a candle for the burnt out bus?
The Vagina Monologues is an episodic play written in 1996 by Eve Ensler… The play explores consensual and nonconsensual sexual experiences, body image, genital mutilation, direct and indirect encounters with reproduction, vaginal care, menstrual periods, prostitution, and several other topics through the eyes of women with various ages, races, sexualities, and other differences (thank you Wiki)
‘I wanted my clitoris back’ – FGM survivor opts for reconstructive surgery (BBC) – we thought he was just daft – but perhaps David Lammy had a point afterall: ‘I don’t think that’s right’: Labour’s Pat McFadden rallies against David Lammy’s trans claim… belief that trans women can grow a cervix (GB News)
Let’s hope Lammy’s growth claim has some substance to it – otherwise I can foresee our NHS soon having to shell out an awful lot of money on this form of reconstructive surgery.
Sometimes these segueways write themselves
NHS and teacher pay rises may cost extra £3bn – IFS… If the 5.5% figure was replicated across the entire public sector, beyond the reported recommendations for teachers and the NHS, that would equate to £10bn of extra funding required (BBC)
… Well, it’s one for the money two for the show
Three to get ready now go, cat, go
… But don’t you step on my blue suede shoes
Well you can do anything but
Lay off of my blue suede shoes
[Songwriter Carl Perkins, recorded by Elvis Presely 1956]
Fined for yellow and blue shoes: How Russian laws smother dissent (Vitaly Shevchenko, BBC Monitoring Russia Editor) – oh the humanity!
In Russia, anyone who wishes to hold a demonstration needs permission from the authorities. If the rally is critical of the government, that is practically impossible. (BBC)
How tyrannical is that?
US condemns UK for praying woman’s abortion clinic arrest. Government agency dedicated to protecting religious freedom has included incident in list of international violations… In England in March, authorities in Birmingham arrested and launched an investigation against Isabel Vaughan-Spruce for silently praying outside an abortion clinic within a ‘buffer zone’ where a city council order prohibits protests, including prayer (Telegraph, May 2024)
Samuel Melia: Far-right activist jailed after sticker campaign… a series of “stickering” incidents between 2019 and 2021… After police arrested Melia in April 2021, they searched his house and found a label printer and stickers with anti-immigration messages… Judge Tom Bayliss KC said: “The publication of this kind of material is corrosive to our society.” (BBC)
Police ‘assessing’ video of Laurence Fox attempting to burn LGBTQ+ flags in garden (The Standard, June 2023)
Meanwhile back in Ukraine: Air strikes can’t stop the music at this Ukrainian festival (Andrew Rogers, BBC Newsbeat – this one aimed at the kids) – so far as I know Ukraine music festival casualties due to the evil Hitleresque Putin are zero to date – whereas: Bodies of three Israeli hostages killed at music festival recovered in Gaza… Shani Louk’s body was seen face-down in a pick-up truck travelling through Gaza in a video that was shared widely on social media after the hostages were taken… Hamas-led militants killed around 1,200 people, mainly civilians, and abducted around 250 others in the 7 October attack. Israel says around 100 hostages are still captive in Gaza, along with the bodies of around 30 more (Sky News, May 2024)
” Young people are far more likely than older generations to visit A&E with non-urgent medical issues such as headaches, cuts and even acne, new data shows.
Almost a quarter of 25 to 34-year-olds admitted to trying to get a doctors appointment for a self-treatable condition, according to research by consumer healthcare association PAGB.
Of the over 65 age bracket, just nine per cent reported doing the same. Around eight per cent of those surveyed admitted to seeking hospital care for sprains or strains. Five per cent said they had gone to A&E for acne.
Self-treatable conditions account for at least 25 million GP appointments and five million trips to A&E each year, according to analysts from Frontier Economics.”
The main job of the bbc is now to provide carefully rigged propaganda headlines for activist idiots to piggy back.

Yes! At last. Do this, please.
Taxes on #electricity should be shifted to gas so that people feel more benefit from using green technologies like #HeatPumps in their homes, the government’s climate advisers say.
Slightly vexed …. The papers are running reports of ‘abuse ‘ involving people taking part in a TV show called ‘strictly come dancing ‘. I’ve never seen this programme so my opinion of it wouid be based completely on the fact it is in the BBC Saturday night ‘light entertainment spot ‘ one occupied by the likes of the ‘generation game ‘…
Anyway – some participants are making a big thing out of others ‘touching ‘them … now I understand that with dancing there might be a degree of ‘physical engagement ‘ so can only assume the level of ‘physical engagement ‘ is beyond the normal and is therefore assault – presumably sexual .
In that case surely the BBC should be calling in the religious police to make enquiries and arrests ? Or is it a different rule of dancing celebrities ?
I’m only writing this because I’ve heard the reds are going to throw borrowed taxpayers money at ‘the public sector ‘ again ….which really shouldn’t come as a surprise but did …
“‘Information isn’t handled properly online. In the old days, you would ask older relatives for advice – but it seems TikTok has replaced Granny’s wisdom.'”
The same site for morons that had a challenge to barge into people and film it that resulted in an altercation with me and a bunch of thick tok moron teens outside Tesco.
I hope someone with lots of money for lawyers sues the ass off them sometime them for being injured as a result of some of their irresponsible content.
Here is an example that resulted in some trying to do this to me:
They were all shouting “no budge walk” as they approached, but sadly underestimated my momentum and elbows and all went flying to my great satisfaction.
The BBC reports on ‘The Spanish fightback against record tourism’. Lots of people are visiting Spain, a country which is heavily dependent on tourism and the money it brings in. But it can have an untoward impact in some areas, hence the locals need to ‘fightback’ (which they are encouraged to do in BBC-land, although fighting back is a strict no-no for, say, supporters of Donald Trump when someone shoots at them). According to the article, because of tourism:
“…being blamed for plummeting living standards among the local population.”
“spiralling housing costs are being driven by a huge number of houses and apartments being bought by foreigners, or at least rented out to them.”
“visitors pricing locals out of the housing market, they are also using up public spaces, public services and natural resources.”
“we are losing our identity. We want to preserve our culture”
These symptoms sound sort of familiar. Ah, wait a minute. The BBC are happy to give a platform for Spanish people to complain about the influx of too many people, but reporting on the same problems being experienced in Britain due to mass immigration is absolutely forbidden. Actually, not the same problems but much worst problems. Our ‘visitors’ don’t stay a couple of weeks and pump money into the economy, here they stay for ever and cost hundreds of billions of pounds. And bring such delightful markers of diversity as riots, stabbings, murders, child rape gangs, terrorism, witchcraft and female genital mutilation. And that’s just for starters.
The BBC: former world-renowned broadcaster, now best known for its hypocrisy, lies and disinformation.
It appears our new Red Labour government are to award a big inflation-busting pay award to its public sector chums. This will of course be paid for by private sector taxpayers and businesses.
Now whether or not this is justified I’ll bet you a pound to a penny that the true cost of the increase, which is not the increase itself but the increase in the future pension liability for the featherbedded final salary public sector pensions schemes, will not get a single sentence of mention and certainly not by the BBC.
I’ll merely mention that in a single year in about 2015, the NHS pension liability went up by more than the entire NHS budget. Yep, we taxpayers had to be prepared to stump up more on NHS pensions than on NHS treatment.
I might also mention that the real reason for teacher recruitment problems is not the pay but the nature of the job. A combination of very high peak workload and the need to be part not of the education system these days but instead part of the social care system.

Exclusive: @bbcnews deliberately held back truth about dog attack story – whitewashing a family of terrorists and then butchering an IDF statement to make sure YOU never got to hear about it.
Why is this allowed to happen @rburgessbbc?
Quite a lot of new facts there I, and I suspect most, unaware of.
This was high profile initially, but got dropped very quickly. With the bbc, this is usually a good sign they have moved on because reasons.
I noticed that James Whale is not on Talk TV/Radio but his sidekick Ash is still appearing. I wondered why and found this on the www:
“Whale has cancer of the brain, spine, kidney, and lungs. As reported by The Mirror, the 71-year-old said: “I know a lot of you won’t like me, but this time next year I won’t be here. I have terminal cancer. “As you might be able to hear, I am having chemotherapy which makes it harder for me to breathe, but I’m OK.22 hours ago”
In other news which is a complete coincidence:
Whale has been a consistent supporter of the covid-19 vaxxxx:
Just a bit of throw away fun… and to properly appreciate you’ll likely need to be fairly cognisant of the 1970 The Mamas & The Papas autobiographical hit Creeque Alley in which are name-checked, directly or indirectly, many artists and bands who were part of the folk music scene at the time.

“I wanted my clitoris back”. A story about fgm. That title has no place on a national broadcasters front page. We now possibly have thousands of young children asking about things they don’t need to know.
Secondly, if one bunch of savages want to chop chunks off another bunch of savages in a faraway land, I simply do not care. Its gone on for thousands of years and this country has far more important matters to resolve, mainly involving bunches of savages from faraway lands.
The bbc have a picture of marianna spring on their front page too. That’s even more offensive, revolting woman. I’d sooner look at dianne abbot.
But perhaps the biggest taboo of all has been to admit that she wanted her genitalia back – so much so that she has paid to have reconstructive surgery as it is not available to women through the UK’s National Health Service (NHS). https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cyx0perl8yno

Just watching that clip shows the decline of Biden – being a swamp creature he’d need to be quick on his feet . There days – he is neither on his feet or quick .
I honestly don’t know how Obama has allowed him to continue – unless the plan is to step down a week – say – before the democrat convent in just under a month – allowing for rapid succession for with Michelle or karmela
Apparently they are tuning up karmela to sound ‘presidential ‘ but as soon as she opens her mouth / cackles you know she’s a tick box air head ….
Talking of which YouTube pointed me toward hearings for Biden appointed ‘ federal judges ‘…. They were questioned the congressional committee . One didn’t know what the second amendment to the US constitution was both senator Cruz and Kennedy had fun proving that Obama Biden was installing dumb tick boxes onto the federal bench . No democrat declined to endorse them …. Frightening …
Mohammad Saeed, the head of the Taliban government’s Tourism Directorate in Kabul, said earlier this year that he dreamed of the country becoming a tourist hotspot. In particular, he revealed, he was eyeing up the Chinese market – all with the backing “of the Elders”.

Druggie diamond despairing at the idiots in the democrat party still supporting either Biden or even worse – karmela as a future president .
I think my jaw dropped when I heard someone say she’d ‘step up’ and run against president trump. Meanwhile Obama must be working 25 hours a day to fix the count…Jonnie interviewed some democrat big wig who says Karmela is ringing people up to be her vice president …. Wow …

Police hunt vandal who sprayed paint over Pride flags outside east London Station.
The Metropolitan Police has launched an appeal after three Pride flags were vandalised outside a station in east London.
The flags, painted on the pavement outside Forest Gate railway station, were vandalised in the early hours of Friday morning.
The vandalism followed previous incidents of damage on June 23 and 26.
Officers have trawled CCTV, made house-to-house inquiries and conducted forensic investigations, but no arrests have so far been made.
The incidents are being treated as linked and inquiries are ongoing, the force said.
As part of the appeal, police released an image of the suspect spraying paint on one of the flags.

‘We stand with the local LGBTQ+ community and will not tolerate these disgusting, inexcusable hate crimes in Forest Gate,’ he said.
‘We are committed to continuing our thorough investigation and attempting to identify the offender, who we believe is the same person who committed the damage in June at the same location.
‘The Met is clear that there is no place for hate in London, and my team are already working at pace to complete all lines of inquiry.
‘I want to directly address the local community in Forest Gate. Someone knows who this person is. Do the right thing, and tell police or, to remain anonymous, contact Crimestoppers.’
#1 The person who puts their tribal graffiti over PUBLIC property
or
#2 the person who writes they want the public property returning to original state ?
Sure a lot of London people support Manchester United
but it wouldn’t be appropriate to graffiti public spaces with the phrase “Manchester United Forever”
that’s rubbing it in the faces of the public majority
The BBC, which rarely reports on crimes in which the perpetrator is ‘trans’, including David ‘Lucy’ Challenor kidnapping and raping a child in a house he shared with a cross-dressing politician, has now published at least 10 stories this summer about Pride flags being damaged
“A banana thrown by a Sheffield Uni student at a black Sheffield Hallam student has not been treated as a racist incident, it has emerged today.
The investigation by the University of Sheffield into what happened at the Varsity ice hockey game is now complete. The university said that what happened was racist, but that there was no racist intent.”
Stew – those ‘flags ‘ remind of that thing dogs do of marking their territory – pride is a sin – I don’t want to see it or know about it . They’ve corrupted the innocence of the rainbow to promote their sexual perversions and make their way of life ‘main stream ‘ …
I reckon whoever painted over those dog markings were as entitled to do so as the perverts who painted them ..

The article has been shared widely by climate change deniers with large audiences.
Let us count the errors Rupa makes, before I ask for a correction and apology🧵”
Oh look question as a headline
That is a LEADING trick question
cos Betteridge’s law of headlines, coined by journalist Ian Betteridge, states that questions in headlines can always be answered with “no.”
I’ve been looking at the sports in the Paris Olympic
Dinghy racing –
RNLI rescue competition
Border force ‘bung ‘ contest
Throwing British money at the french for nothing

Seems the us secret service ( aka kill trump unit ) is now admitting refusing security upgrades .
A commenter on the DT piece about this helpfully explains that because president trump wasn’t the actual nominee he only got the basic package .
As nominee – 3 days later – he now gets an upgrade …
I wonder where the next attempt will come from ? Secret service ? FBI ? CIA ? Or all three …? The award from Obama for killing president trump will be generous … for the killers’ next of kin …

Irony: if you write to many complaints to the BBC they’ll can label you a vexatious complainant. If they put fifty stories a year up about drag queens and another 30 misleading stories about gender, you literally can’t complain about all of them without being labelled vexatious.
“The FBI set everything up. They drove people. They paid for everything.”
Never forget the FBI literally paid for the hotels & travel of attendees to come from across the country to the conference where the plot was planned, & one of the feds proposed the plot at the conference. https://t.co/GotBplHgvQ
I see more and more what Trump means by “The Swamp”
“The FBI refused to answer a list of questions. “Unfortunately, due to ongoing litigation, we are unable to comment,” said Gabrielle Szlenkier, a spokesperson for the FBI in Michigan. Robeson, through his lawyer, also declined to comment.
Federal agents paid Robeson nearly $20,000 to participate in a conspiracy that evolved into a loose plot to kidnap the governor of Michigan, according to the documents. But FBI agents knew that two other informants and some of the defendants in the Whitmer case believed that Robeson was the plot’s true architect.
So on December 10, 2020, agents called Robeson into the FBI’s office in Milwaukee in an apparent attempt to silence him. In an extraordinary five-hour conversation, which FBI agents recorded, one of Robeson’s handlers told him: “A saying we have in my office is, ‘Don’t let the facts get in the way of a good story,’ right?” Despite federal and state trials involving the kidnapping plot, this recording — which goes to the heart of questions about whether the FBI entrapped the would-be kidnappers — was never allowed into evidence. The Intercept exclusively obtained the full recording and is publishing key portions for the first time.”
“The FBI agents asked Robeson to sign a nondisclosure agreement and proceeded to coach and threaten him to shape his story and ensure that he would never testify before a jury. Their coercion of Robeson undermines the Justice Department’s claim, in court records, that Robeson was a “double agent” whose actions weren’t under the government’s control. The agents also made it clear that they had leverage: They knew Robeson had committed crimes while working for the FBI.
“We know we have power, right?” an FBI agent told Robeson during this meeting. “We know we have leverage. We’re not going to bullshit you.”
“Robeson’s role as an informant in the Whitmer kidnapping plot was supposed to be a tightly held secret. FBI agents had written the charging documents to conceal his identity.
But the FBI’s paperwork was sloppy. Supporters of the 14 defendants began to piece together clues from details like the FBI’s descriptions of passengers in a car that had been driven near Whitmer’s vacation home in Antrim County, Michigan. The clues appeared to point to Robeson as a snitch — or, in the FBI’s terminology, a confidential human source. After the October 2020 arrests, a panicked Robeson started calling targets of the FBI investigation and denying that he was an informant.
“So when you call, your intentions are to keep some of the heat off of you, right?” an FBI agent asked Robeson during the December 2020 meeting. “To point people in the other direction?”
“Anywhere but me,” Robeson answered. “Not at anyone specific, just away from me.”

NHS warns of GP disruption next week after IT outage

In the days before computers, we could use health services.
We would get letters about hospital appointments and then turn up and, after a wait, we would be seen.
So the need to cancel appointments because of an IT outage sounds to me like an excuse for an extra day off and a chance for consultants to improve their golf handicap.

Sounds as if the Asians were attempting to take over…….Now, where have I heard that before?
Perhaps Amin was not a bad bloke after all.

Cheers,

In Russia, anyone who wishes to hold a demonstration needs permission from the authorities. If the rally is critical of the government, that is practically impossible. (BBC)
How tyrannical is that?

Welcome to snowflake country :

BBC: World Leaders in Hypocrisy

Front page news on the family friendly bbc :-
“I wanted my clitoris back”.

Extremely dangerous criminal at large in London.
*DO NOT APPROACH*.
Hyde Park’s Albert Memorial now ‘considered offensive’
59.8k viewing now
Detective Inspector James Rush from the North East Public Protection Unit, who is leading efforts to identify the offender, appealed to the public for information.
Do the right thing, and tell police or, to remain anonymous, contact Crimestoppers.’

who is the actual vandal ?
#1 The person who puts their tribal graffiti over PUBLIC property
or
#2 the person who writes they want the public property returning to original state ?
Sure a lot of London people support Manchester United
but it wouldn’t be appropriate to graffiti public spaces with the phrase “Manchester United Forever”
that’s rubbing it in the faces of the public majority
