In the days before computers, we could use health services.
We would get letters about hospital appointments and then turn up and, after a wait, we would be seen.
So the need to cancel appointments because of an IT outage sounds to me like an excuse for an extra day off and a chance for consultants to improve their golf handicap.

In certain circumstances it would be sad – pitiful – but you can see they have been researching him on using steps.

It so reminds me of looking after my mum in early stage dementia when I’d stand behind her on stairs ready to catch her and telling her to ‘concentrate ‘ on each step …..

I guess the next stage for him is the fall – fracture – pneumonia …..

At 80, my mum broke out of a supposedly ‘secure’ accommodation unit and made her way to her previous flat. Just saying. Oh, and they tried to blame that on me, even though I had no idea where she was. It made sense though, her GP blamed me for not knowing she had dementia because, of course, I’m the medical professional.

For balance, my wife’s cancer treatment on the NHS this last year has been phenomenal.

I suppose the test will be whether the website is changed – I think I can guess no one will be ‘brave ‘ enough in case they are accused of being a witch – sorry racist – wrong century there….

Yeah! Lets have more Indians in the country to join in the early part of the war against the indigenous population.

        “Expulsion of Asians from Uganda.

…..with Amin accusing a minority of the Indians of disloyalty, non-integration, and commercial malpractice, claims that Indian leaders disputed.[5] Amin defended the expulsion by arguing that he was “giving Uganda back to ethnic Ugandans”.[6]
[*”Commercial malpractice” – “Back-handers” for the uninitiated.]

Many of those who were expelled were citizens of the United Kingdom and Colonies and 27,200 emigrated to the United Kingdom. Of the other refugees who were accounted for, 6,000 went to Canada, 4,500 refugees ended up in India and 2,500 went to nearby Kenya or to Pakistan.[6]”
The presence of Indians in Uganda was the result of deliberate choices by the British administration that ruled Uganda from 1894 to 1962.[8] They were brought to the Uganda Protectorate by the British to “serve as a buffer between Europeans and Africans in the middle rungs of commerce and administration”.[6]

I looks like Civil War between the FBI and Congress.

According to emails from Congressmen. In the Trump assassination attempt there were 11 shots fired. The first three shots were fired by Crooks using an AR-15 rifle. Rounds four and five were from a three man Secret Service team in the building that Crooks was on top of, killing Crooks. Shot 6 was taken from the Water Tower and hit Trump’s ear. Shot 7 and 8 were taken from approximately 1100-1500 feet away. The last three shots came from the sniper team on the roof behind Trump. Shot nine killed an FBI assassin on top of the Water Tower, shot ten and shot eleven missed another FBI man on top of the Water Tower.

The bullet that clipped Trumps ear was caught on camera and was filmed from different angles, which means that the exact three-dimensional position of the bullet is known for Trumps ear and were the bullet hit the ground. An FBI officer has told congress that they traced the trajectory of the bullet to the top of the Water Tower. There are also witnesses who say they saw two gunman on top of the Water Tower. One was shot dead by a police sniper working for the secret service team, this office has gone into hiding and fears for his life, the other FBI sniper got away in a SUV which was registered to the Department of Agriculture.

The FBI has the ballistics reports, but the FBI has declined a request by Congress for the FBI Director Christopher Wray to testify next week about the attempted assassination of President Trump, and evidence that the FBI was complicit in the assassination, with one dead FBI officer. Congress is facing a full-blown constitutional crisis with the realisation that the FBI has gone rogue, and is desperately trying to destroy and hide evidence from Congress.

Dear Marianna Spring (BBC wages paid under threat of prosecution),

As I’ve had to look at your BBC news and use other sources to determine that your news is not news but selective editorial opinion I’d like to request that I have a refund for the last 4 years plus get the BBC free from now on.

Please let me know how I can go about this as I am willing to create a full list of articles that I’ve had to investigate plus time taken for me to check your fact checker whilst realising that the BBC intentionally removes news rather than incorrectly report on it, uses images to sway opinion or misleads with the main titles hoping no one reads the full article.

‘Omission is the greatest form of lie.’

CAS-4987700-SY1FTF : BBC NewsWatch says boredom with pro-Brexit march.

CAS-4844672-N8FDYY: Update on the MP Expenses 2009 scandal in 2018.

CAS-4939547-J71Z1V: Here’s hoping Ireland do the right thing G.Lineker.

CAS-4937378-YKMWBJ: BBC not reporting ‘Day of Freedom’ March 06may2018.

CAS-4906141-BFJQL0: I take offence that presenters promote their books.

CAS-4892811-C820SC: I am offended that I have to pay the BBC TV Tax.

CAS-4824332-633N1P: What happened in Italy was not covered …

CAS-4933135-ZV3V7F: The omission is the most powerful form of lie …

CAS-6005141-S1V9D1: Not seen a report on the UK Governments Covid19

Let me know how to go about resolving the issue of paying for something that wastes my time as I have to check each story rather than rely on its accuracy.

      Cheers,

Remind me what country it is that we live in: West Indies supporters enjoy the action at Trent Bridge in Nottingham during the third day of the second Test against England (feature photo frontpage of The Observer) – like its weekday iteration, the Guardian, the main interest in sport, as well as the arts, would appear to be as handy vehicles for identity politics.

The gynaeceum which is our BBC News staff like The Observer for their top pick of the nation’s Sunday titles. Speaking of the politicisation of sport and the arts…

Labour makes working-class children key to school reform… Minister pledges more sport and drama (The Observer) – and all Rishi Sunak had to offer was more double maths lessons of a Friday afternoon.

Also on the The Observer menu: Food monthly… Quiche, dips and ice-cream: the experts’ pick of picnic foods… Nigel Slater’s summer salads

Bringing up the rear of the BBC online press line-up – call them beggers at the feast – is of course the jokey blokey Daily Star Sunday where there’s: Breaking news… Telly star Craig Charles is fed up of poncy foods and reckons we should go bak to sticking the likes of Findus Crispy Pancakes on our plates… Star Craig blasts middle-class foods like avacado and urges us to eat 70s classics

There’s an amusing little celeb-based juxtaposition of headlines on the frontpage of the Star: while mourning the passing of that old school snooker champion nicknamed Dracula: Snooker legend Ray dead at 91 – we have in close proximity former Eastenders actor: Dyer: Ghost relatives watch me – spooky.

This one sounds like it’s begging for a punchline: What BBC exec said – teases the Sun on Sunday

Strictly boss: Gio is a shocker – Mr AsI has jokingly likened the BBC’s Strictly dance trainers to the US Marine boot camp drill sergeant as portrayed in the movie Full Metal Jacket

Giovanni Pernice’s behaviour towards Stictly partner Amanda Abbington was described… as “uncceptable and shocking”… crude sexual remarks to the actress… Probe hears sex jibe claim – without even the courtesy of a reach-around? (There’s one for our movie buffs)

Fortunately, in these days of sex equality, apparently, what’s bad for the goose is likewise bad for the gander: TV show rocked again… Now female Strictly pro hit by claims of bullying… Celeb says she screamed in his face in rage (Sunday Mirror) – the word snowflake springs to mind.

    Men, eh?

Man charged over torching of Leeds bus… Iustin Dobre, 37, of Clifton Mount, Harehills, has been charged with violent disorder and arson reckless as to endanger life, relating to the torching of the bus, police said. (BBC) – local man protesting the local bus service no doubt.

Our politicians look after themselves first and foremost: Unprecedented number of threats… Panic alarms given to all new MPs over safety fears (Mail on Sunday)

Geo-engineering is subject to conspiracy theories, but could it help save the planet? In what is already a £103bn ($135bn) industry, scientists around the world, including in the UK, are researching geo-engineering – ways of manipulating the climate to tackle global warming. (BBC) – remember folks, it’s not a conspiracy theory, if it’s true.

On Friday evening, a vigil was held in Harehills which “passed off peacefully”, police said. (BBC) – but no one died… so now we’ve got vigils for a wrecked police car? Light a candle for the burnt out bus?

The Vagina Monologues is an episodic play written in 1996 by Eve Ensler… The play explores consensual and nonconsensual sexual experiences, body image, genital mutilation, direct and indirect encounters with reproduction, vaginal care, menstrual periods, prostitution, and several other topics through the eyes of women with various ages, races, sexualities, and other differences (thank you Wiki)

‘I wanted my clitoris back’ – FGM survivor opts for reconstructive surgery (BBC) – we thought he was just daft – but perhaps David Lammy had a point afterall: ‘I don’t think that’s right’: Labour’s Pat McFadden rallies against David Lammy’s trans claim… belief that trans women can grow a cervix (GB News)

Let’s hope Lammy’s growth claim has some substance to it – otherwise I can foresee our NHS soon having to shell out an awful lot of money on this form of reconstructive surgery.

    How tyrannical is that?

US condemns UK for praying woman’s abortion clinic arrest. Government agency dedicated to protecting religious freedom has included incident in list of international violations… In England in March, authorities in Birmingham arrested and launched an investigation against Isabel Vaughan-Spruce for silently praying outside an abortion clinic within a ‘buffer zone’ where a city council order prohibits protests, including prayer (Telegraph, May 2024)

Samuel Melia: Far-right activist jailed after sticker campaign… a series of “stickering” incidents between 2019 and 2021… After police arrested Melia in April 2021, they searched his house and found a label printer and stickers with anti-immigration messages… Judge Tom Bayliss KC said: “The publication of this kind of material is corrosive to our society.” (BBC)

Police ‘assessing’ video of Laurence Fox attempting to burn LGBTQ+ flags in garden (The Standard, June 2023)

Meanwhile back in Ukraine: Air strikes can’t stop the music at this Ukrainian festival (Andrew Rogers, BBC Newsbeat – this one aimed at the kids) – so far as I know Ukraine music festival casualties due to the evil Hitleresque Putin are zero to date – whereas: Bodies of three Israeli hostages killed at music festival recovered in Gaza… Shani Louk’s body was seen face-down in a pick-up truck travelling through Gaza in a video that was shared widely on social media after the hostages were taken… Hamas-led militants killed around 1,200 people, mainly civilians, and abducted around 250 others in the 7 October attack. ” Young people are far more likely than older generations to visit A&E with non-urgent medical issues such as headaches, cuts and even acne, new data shows.

Almost a quarter of 25 to 34-year-olds admitted to trying to get a doctors appointment for a self-treatable condition, according to research by consumer healthcare association PAGB.

Of the over 65 age bracket, just nine per cent reported doing the same. Around eight per cent of those surveyed admitted to seeking hospital care for sprains or strains. Five per cent said they had gone to A&E for acne.

Slightly vexed …. The papers are running reports of ‘abuse ‘ involving people taking part in a TV show called ‘strictly come dancing ‘. I’ve never seen this programme so my opinion of it wouid be based completely on the fact it is in the BBC Saturday night ‘light entertainment spot ‘ one occupied by the likes of the ‘generation game ‘…

Anyway – some participants are making a big thing out of others ‘touching ‘them … now I understand that with dancing there might be a degree of ‘physical engagement ‘ so can only assume the level of ‘physical engagement ‘ is beyond the normal and is therefore assault – presumably sexual .

In that case surely the BBC should be calling in the religious police to make enquiries and arrests ? Or is it a different rule of dancing celebrities ?

I’m only writing this because I’ve heard the reds are going to throw borrowed taxpayers money at ‘the public sector ‘ again ….which really shouldn’t come as a surprise but did …

    BBC: World Leaders in Hypocrisy

The BBC reports on ‘The Spanish fightback against record tourism’. Lots of people are visiting Spain, a country which is heavily dependent on tourism and the money it brings in. But it can have an untoward impact in some areas, hence the locals need to ‘fightback’ (which they are encouraged to do in BBC-land, although fighting back is a strict no-no for, say, supporters of Donald Trump when someone shoots at them). According to the article, because of tourism:

“…being blamed for plummeting living standards among the local population.”
“spiralling housing costs are being driven by a huge number of houses and apartments being bought by foreigners, or at least rented out to them.”
“visitors pricing locals out of the housing market, they are also using up public spaces, public services and natural resources.”
“we are losing our identity. We want to preserve our culture”

These symptoms sound sort of familiar. Ah, wait a minute. The BBC are happy to give a platform for Spanish people to complain about the influx of too many people, but reporting on the same problems being experienced in Britain due to mass immigration is absolutely forbidden. Actually, not the same problems but much worst problems. Our ‘visitors’ don’t stay a couple of weeks and pump money into the economy, here they stay for ever and cost hundreds of billions of pounds. And bring such delightful markers of diversity as riots, stabbings, murders, child rape gangs, terrorism, witchcraft and female genital mutilation. And that’s just for starters.

The BBC: former world-renowned broadcaster, now best known for its hypocrisy, lies and disinformation.

It appears our new Red Labour government are to award a big inflation-busting pay award to its public sector chums. This will of course be paid for by private sector taxpayers and businesses.
Now whether or not this is justified I’ll bet you a pound to a penny that the true cost of the increase, which is not the increase itself but the increase in the future pension liability for the featherbedded final salary public sector pensions schemes, will not get a single sentence of mention and certainly not by the BBC.

I’ll merely mention that in a single year in about 2015, the NHS pension liability went up by more than the entire NHS budget. Yep, we taxpayers had to be prepared to stump up more on NHS pensions than on NHS treatment.

I might also mention that the real reason for teacher recruitment problems is not the pay but the nature of the job. A combination of very high peak workload and the need to be part not of the education system these days but instead part of the social care system.

Police hunt vandal who sprayed paint over Pride flags outside east London Station.

The Metropolitan Police has launched an appeal after three Pride flags were vandalised outside a station in east London.
The flags, painted on the pavement outside Forest Gate railway station, were vandalised in the early hours of Friday morning.

The vandalism followed previous incidents of damage on June 23 and 26.

Officers have trawled CCTV, made house-to-house inquiries and conducted forensic investigations, but no arrests have so far been made.

The incidents are being treated as linked and inquiries are ongoing, the force said.

As part of the appeal, police released an image of the suspect spraying paint on one of the flags.

Hyde Park’s Albert Memorial now ‘considered offensive’
    59.8k viewing now
Detective Inspector James Rush from the North East Public Protection Unit, who is leading efforts to identify the offender, appealed to the public for information.

‘We stand with the local LGBTQ+ community and will not tolerate these disgusting, inexcusable hate crimes in Forest Gate,’ he said.

‘We are committed to continuing our thorough investigation and attempting to identify the offender, who we believe is the same person who committed the damage in June at the same location.

‘The Met is clear that there is no place for hate in London, and my team are already working at pace to complete all lines of inquiry.

‘I want to directly address the local community in Forest Gate. Someone knows who this person is. Do the right thing, and tell police or, to remain anonymous, contact Crimestoppers.’

I see more and more what Trump means by “The Swamp”

“The FBI refused to answer a list of questions. “Unfortunately, due to ongoing litigation, we are unable to comment,” said Gabrielle Szlenkier, a spokesperson for the FBI in Michigan. Robeson, through his lawyer, also declined to comment.

Federal agents paid Robeson nearly $20,000 to participate in a conspiracy that evolved into a loose plot to kidnap the governor of Michigan, according to the documents. But FBI agents knew that two other informants and some of the defendants in the Whitmer case believed that Robeson was the plot’s true architect.

So on December 10, 2020, agents called Robeson into the FBI’s office in Milwaukee in an apparent attempt to silence him. In an extraordinary five-hour conversation, which FBI agents recorded, one of Robeson’s handlers told him: “A saying we have in my office is, ‘Don’t let the facts get in the way of a good story,’ right?” Despite federal and state trials involving the kidnapping plot, this recording — which goes to the heart of questions about whether the FBI entrapped the would-be kidnappers — was never allowed into evidence. The Intercept exclusively obtained the full recording and is publishing key portions for the first time.”

      • Zephir says:

“The FBI agents asked Robeson to sign a nondisclosure agreement and proceeded to coach and threaten him to shape his story and ensure that he would never testify before a jury. Their coercion of Robeson undermines the Justice Department’s claim, in court records, that Robeson was a “double agent” whose actions weren’t under the government’s control. The agents also made it clear that they had leverage: They knew Robeson had committed crimes while working for the FBI.

“We know we have power, right?” an FBI agent told Robeson during this meeting. “We know we have leverage. We’re not going to bullshit you.”

“Robeson’s role as an informant in the Whitmer kidnapping plot was supposed to be a tightly held secret. FBI agents had written the charging documents to conceal his identity.

But the FBI’s paperwork was sloppy. Supporters of the 14 defendants began to piece together clues from details like the FBI’s descriptions of passengers in a car that had been driven near Whitmer’s vacation home in Antrim County, Michigan. The clues appeared to point to Robeson as a snitch — or, in the FBI’s terminology, a confidential human source. After the October 2020 arrests, a panicked Robeson started calling targets of the FBI investigation and denying that he was an informant.

“So when you call, your intentions are to keep some of the heat off of you, right?” an FBI agent asked Robeson during the December 2020 meeting. “To point people in the other direction?”

“Anywhere but me,” Robeson answered. “Not at anyone specific, just away from me.”
