Ah yes but it was ‘mostly peaceful’.

As an aside the biased BBC show a photo of a dog wearing a coloured scarf. The colours of the scarf are green, yellow, and black. Which are the flag colours for Jamaica. Which the BBC somehow failed to mention.
Why do people who prefer another country’s values choose to live here? Well, apart from the ‘free’ NHS, social security, subsidised housing, free education for the kids, etc etc etc., all paid for by other people through taxes,

    Supermajors and silent retreats edition

Surging seas are coming for us all, warns UN chief… The United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres has said that big polluters have a clear responsibility to cut emissions – or risk a worldwide catastrophe. “The Pacific is today the most vulnerable area of the world,” he told the BBC at the Pacific Island Forum Leaders Meeting in Tonga. “There is an enormous injustice in relation to the Pacific and it’s the reason I am here.” – the BBC getting the attention of the UN chief there – gosh our very own little nationalised broadcaster must be important.

Are you one of those people who remember back when TV presenter Dennis Norden used to use the phrase “Are you one of those people who…” in his opening monologue on his daytime nostalgia-based light entertainment show Looks Familiar?

Of course Mr AsI could kick off with “Are you one of those people who… just lost their winter fuel allowance under the new Labour government?” – but that would be too on the nose.

So let’s instead dog whistle to our more senior readership with the question “Are you one of those people who… remember UN chiefs of the past who concerned themselves with world peace?”

Trygve ‘Tryg’ Halvdan Lie was elected the first Secretary-General of the United Nations in 1946 – and gosh there was a lot of peace making to be done back then.

Dag Hammarskjöld during his terms as Secretary-General carried out many responsibilities for the United Nations in the course of its efforts to prevent war and serve the other aims of the Charter. He created the basis for UN peacekeeping operations, and successfully implemented his “preventive diplomacy” in crises from the Middle East to China.

In a slightly different universe: Sven-Goran Eriksson 1948-2024… the urbane Swedish football manager… (Times) might have qualified as a UN boss.

But things at the UN rather veered away from neutral unbane Scandinavians and instead went… diverse…

U Thant, Ban Ki-moon, Kofi Annan, Boutros Boutros-Ghali – that last one wasn’t just a gag from The Fast Show foreign news sketch people who invariably brought you Scorchio! as the weather forecast. I’ll bet you remember all those names as famous international peace brokers.

Not so United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres. He’s more your Scorchio! climate change kind of go-to chap.

And this is where we tend to ask – how’s that Net Zero workin’ out fo’ yer?

Exxon Mobile upbeat on oil… The US supermajor has said global oil demand will remain virtually unchanged by 2050 and warned that any move to curtail fossil fuel investment would trigger a new energy price shock (FT)

Heritage under attack… (BBC) – this is of course not Britain but Ukraine (referencing a long drawn out war with apparently no interest whatsoever from the UN in any form of peace negotiations) Heritage under attack: Ukrainians revive interest in culture – jolly good for them, eh?

The destruction of so much of their culture has not just pushed Ukrainians farther away from the Russian-dominated cultural space they shared for decades under Soviet rule. It has also awakened a hunger for their own culture, described by one daily newspaper as a “Ukrainian cultural boom”. (BBC)

Speaking of Soviet rule… sometimes these segueways write themselves…

PM to say Parliament return not ‘business as usual’… In a speech from Downing Street’s rose garden, the prime minister will say that “we can’t go on like this anymore” (BBC)

Well, no, because business as usual in our parliamentary democracy would mean the PM making his speech from the despatch box in the House of Commons without pre-leaking the text to the media.

How’s that UN peace keeping workin’ out fo’ yer?

Top denfence contractors poised for $52bn bonanza as orders soar… Record haul by 2026… Double 2021 figure… Conflicts spur sales (BBC)

Seems we’re off to beat our ploughshares into swords.

    Or are we…?

Military training cutback to fund pay rises… £400million shortfall forces MoD to axe some exercises and make troops ‘pretend’ to shoot (Daily Mail firing the shots in their ‘campaign Don’t Leave Britain Defenceless’)

Well, we’ve got to send all our weaponry, vehicles and ammunition to Ukraine.

So what are the Scandinavians up to these days – now they’re not supplying our top world diplomats?

How Denmark became the sperm donor capital of the world (‘i’) – presumably that’ll be big demand for the blond blue-eyed urbane model – apparently not much diversity in demand there then?

Female celebrity angst report: Ruby Wax My ordeal on a silent retreat (Times)

    Should read:

NHS referrals surge to double pre-pandemic pre-lockdown levels… (which was a policy choice during an outbreak of an infection that was practically harmless to the under-18 age group)

If only we had some official inquiry mechanism that could look into that.

Starmer will announce dismantling the current system and its replacement with something based on an extreme interpretation of Plato’s Republic and his Laws. It’s been long in the planning. Think Sparta or as Klaus would put it, you will own nothing and be unhappy. There will be three classes: the elite, the warriors, and the Helots. The Helots were ritually mistreated and humiliated.
Actions have consequences and if people consent to their laws, they will be subjected to them.

Nigel Farage has called on Sir Keir Starmer to condemn the 37 attacks recorded against emergency workers, including 35 police officers, at this year’s Notting Hill Carnival in West London.
And after violence scarred the event, with five stabbings, a top Tory has said the situation would not be tolerated anywhere else in the UK.

Mr Farage shared Met Police data on X, commenting: “Will @Keir_Starmer condemn the 37 assaults on emergency workers at Notting Hill Carnival?.”

The Metropolitan Police yesterday revealed five people had been stabbed, including a 32-year-old woman in front of her four-year-old daughter. Two of those attacked remained in a life-threatening condition as of yesterday.
There was also an incident involving a corrosive substance, with at least 230 arrests on Monday, including 49 for possession of an offensive weapon.
Three firearms were seized, and 35 officers were injured.

Susan Hall, defeated by Sadiq Khan in last year’s Mayoral election, commented: “Of course the Police are ‘tired of saying the same words’ as Notting Hill Carnival ‘marred’ by violence’ the Police do not choose to go, year after year their colleagues are assaulted.

“We wouldn’t, correctly, put up with this anywhere else.”

Also on X , fellow Talk presenter Kevin O’Sullivan posted: “While a young woman fights for her life and her 4-year-old daughter remains traumatised after seeing her mother stabbed almost to death, the BBC waxes lyrical about ‘dazzling parades.’.

“Fake news is so often what they don’t report…”

I don’t understand marxist transportation systems. It seems to me that what these people are asking for is eminently sensible: a standard height and offset from the rail track coupled with trains that are compatible with this height so allowing level boarding. Then these folk would not need to have someone get them a ramp:

      https://www.levelboarding.org.uk/

Why on earth would there be a rail system after all this time with different platform heights?

On another issue I find it deeply ironic that the magnificent communist Chinese established the standard for ubiquitous USB Type A phone charging when the EHuuuuu were nowhere to be seen.

Then on another channel, the VERY SAME witness claims that his brother-in-law was out walking his dog the next day when, entirely by chance as you do, he discovered a blood-stained coat containing a wallet which he then handed over to the police with which they were able to identify the ‘terrorist’.
This is hilarious. 77 Brigade et. al. must be laughing their heads off. If you doubt this, subscribe to the Tim Kellner channel on YouTube. It’s all there.

Essentially Labour stole the election…such as it was….he has no mandate in effect as he got a mere 20% of the vote…but somehow under the system got that massive majority.

The Labour campaign was a massive lie. It was all set up to make us think our lives and bank balances would be pretty much left alone…but of course it was what they didn’t tell us that are the actual policies they will implement and that will put the squeeze on us….to pay for their union friends and paymasters….and all that free housing for the illegals.

And, of course, nice to hear the BBC giving them a very easy ride in the interviews….it’s the usual drill…yes, ask the obvious question but allow them to waffle on and bluff and bluster and then move on without any challenge….there’s no asking that question 6 times.

Starmer is getting away with murder…..and haven’t heard a peep about his intemperate rhetoric and shocking language as he and his chums lay on it so very thickly….if this was the Tories we’d have BBC journo’s complaining about ‘dangerous’ and ‘polarising’ and inflammatory’ language….but not so much for Labour.

Funny that as the riots were happening the narrative was that they were caused by people concerned about an illegal migrant, and this still echoes in the echo chambers of the left…such as the BBC who use it as a stick to beat social media with [despite the fact the BBC is one of the biggest and most dangerous sources of misinformation and disinformation]….but now, according to Starmer who doesn’t want to talk migration, the narrative is that 14 years of Tory mismanagement of the economy led to the rioting….ah yes, that’s what they were about.

Of course the riots were about immigration…and the economy…of migration as migrants cost us billions and take the resources that our own population shouild be getting. Even in my town brand new houses are being given to ‘asylum seekers’…a town where houses to rent are far and few between and expensive, and buying is out of reach to so many….but if you’re an illegal migrant who gets taxied into the UK and then red carpeted into a brand new house everything is lovely….never mind the ‘cultural enhancements’ to our lives brought by these grifters that we never knew we needed.

And of course the narrative that the ‘asylum seeker’ story was false and thus nothing to do with migration is itself false. The most probable scenario is that the ‘Welsh’ killer has spent years having BLM and critical race theory bollocks fed to him and he was ‘radicalised’ against Britain and Whites…and having seen a Black attack and stab a British soldier was encouraged and catalysed into doing something similar and chose a high profile target that he knew would shock and horrify everyone and get the headlines.

And remember kids…that crap is going to fed to you even more rigorously…you are bad because your are white….any wonder so many people talk of civil war.

‘Teachers will be taught to challenge “whiteness” in lessons, The Telegraph can reveal.

Guidance has been created for teacher-training courses, to ensure future educators are “anti-racist” and prepared to implement this in the classroom.

Teachers will be instructed in how to “disrupt the centrality of whiteness” in schools, according to a best-practice document.

The term “whiteness” in critical race theory refers to social attitudes considered normal by white people, and guidance suggests that concepts including “meritocracy”, “objectivity” and “individualism” should be questioned.’

    That horrific stabbing in Birmingham?

That pos who stabbed the white (possibly homeless ) guy?

    He’s been charged with..

. wounding and possession of a knife .

No, not the fucking obvious attempted murder it looked to anyone with a double digit and up IQ.

It’s almost as if they’re winding us up now, isn’t it?

I’ll tell you what I saw. A racist anti white attack. Bunch of blacks vs a lone white. Happens a lot. You won’t see it on the BBC, but there are countless videos like this around.

Can you imagine the charge being ‘wounding’ if it had been a gang of whites on a lone black lad?

Oh, it happens about once every 30 years it seems, but if it happens we never hear the end of it!

    I am fuming!

It was attempted murder! What else was he trying to do by sticking a big knife in someone’s neck?

The horrible thing too was something I didn’t spot first time. Seemed the homeless (?) white guy (some white privilege if he was homeless – but pushing a pram about with belongings in creates that thought) had a loyal dog that followed him across the street where he fell. Don’t know why, but that really got the me.

With those sick, twisted fucks laughing about it too.

I cannot say what I want to say, but I’m lucky enough to live somewhere where I can scream out my anger at such things without others hearing if nobody is home

I’ll leave it to your imagination as to what I was shouting.

Oh, and the BBC of course, playing up the fact that ‘false ‘information ‘ was shared online by saying the guy was pushing a baby at the time he was attacked. Well,, I can see why loads of people thought that. He was pushing a baby stroller (containing his belongings not a baby, but you couldn’t tell.)

Like that is the big fucking issue here, you prats!

The issue is non whites killing and attacking whites!

    Sort it out!

    Wounding?

    This is outrageous.
