STARTS man berated three women “prostitutes” for not wearing traditional Asian dress and putting on make-up, then violently attacked them, a court heard.
Muhammad Hassan, 26, assaulted the victims after spotting them at a petrol station in Bradford.
In a 51-second attack captured on CCTV, Hassan grabbed the driver and slammed her head on to the dashboard of her vehicle.
He then grabbed another woman’s hair and punched her in the head before hitting the third woman.
Hassan, from Bradford, was sentenced to six months in prison, suspended for two years.
Ayman Khokhar, prosecuting, told Bradford Crown Court Hassan knew the three women.
The group had stopped for fuel at the Prince of Wales Service Station on Harrogate Road while on their way to a dinner on May 25.
Hassan pulled up alongside the women and appeared to be “refuelling his car slowly on purpose”, the court heard.
The women decided to wait until he had left before getting out of their vehicle as Hassan had previously objected to their non-traditional dress and make-up.
He called them “slags” and “prostitutes” and demanded that they dress conservatively, the court heard.
After paying for his fuel, Hassan marched to the women’s car and punched and pushed them before driving off while the women called 999.
The victims suffered swelling, bruises, red marks and scratches.
Hassan remained silent during a police interview but later admitted affray.
‘Extremely abusive and violent incident’
Mr Khokhar said: “In broad daylight, he has attacked three females at a petrol station. The offence appears to be motivated by sexist attitudes towards women.”
Mitigating, Fuad Arshad said his client believed the women “played some role in how a marriage ended” but accepted his actions were “unjustified”.
Judge Colin Burn said: “Whatever the motivation was for this, it’s still utterly inadequate to justify the violence that you perpetrated against [the victims] when they were sitting in a car effectively cowering from you.
“The three people on the receiving end of your violence were women who were in a vulnerable situation.
“This was an extremely abusive, controlling and violent incident.”
The sentence handed down included 35 rehabilitation activities, 180 hours of unpaid work, electronic tagging for four months and £500 costs.ENDS

URGENT…ADVICE NEEDED..
Brave Mr Starmer who is tackling so much for us…but despite putting so many of his pals and cheerleaders into top civil service jobs , somehow he is getting so many basic facts wrong…yes.wrong , because he could nt possibly be misleading us deliberately could he?
His trip to Germany, it is said,( the BBC are trumpeting this as a good thing) is to boost trade and a new “agreement” is to be signed……BUT. there wont be any mention of trade because germany cannot do any deals with GB .. only Brussells can do that, its the whole point of the EU. Only the Union can cut a deal.
Oh dear , poor old Keir, made to look a clown and a liar, if only he had a lawyer or some such person, obviously a barrister would be best , someone who could advise him on the basics…wait a minute , isn’t he a lawyer of sorts……surely some mistake.something stinks here.
Starmer sounding out the Franco German Reich on thr conditions for rejoining the EU – trade first then full membership . Can they get it done by 2029? Can they do it without a referendum ? Or a fixed ‘referendum ‘ using the Obama method …
