It’s the day after the night before for a lot of us covering the US election. We’ve made making a report about the fact-checking during the TV debate between Harris and Trump. It’s on the BBC’s News at Ten in a minute.

Hope he enjoyed the sights, and flight.

A few folk asking questions… unanswered.

Others noting what they don’t check, or answer.

The point nobody at the BBC seems to want to mention is that the older people get, the more sense of the real world they have and thus they change to vote Conservative.

This is an extremely cynical policy by Starmer who is proving to be the nasty, far-Left b@stard we were warned he would be.

Cut off the money to the pensioners because they vote Tory. Give the money to those who are likely to vote Labour. It’s all to stay in power. Old people will die because of this and Starmer doesn’t give a shit.

As the punishments for the protests by people unhappy about the senseless murders being committed as a result of mass immigration proved, the Right are now second-class citizens in the eyes of this government. As the divide slowly increases, more similarities to the most famous socialists – the Nazis – will become apparent.

It’s the stuff of 3rd world corrupt shitholes and is as far from the ethics of ‘democracy’ as you can get.

From The Times: “Sadiq Khan: Prisoners should jump queue for housing.”

“For us the big challenge is there is no housing in London, a big shortage of housing in London.” He said they needed “an honest conversation with our constituents about the reasons why people who have offended and come out of prison may need to jump in the queue to get housing to avoid them reoffending again”.

Asked whether newly released prisoners should “jump the queue”, the mayor said: “A certain percentage. Yeah, it’s the honest conversation we’ve got to have with people across our respective cities and stuff to explain the reason we’re doing this.”

Criminals jumping the queue… Khan imagines any conversation around this will be ‘honest’. It all makes sense if you invert everything.

Anyone else find it annoying on GB News when the presenter stops a guest half way through explaining something to say “we’ve run out of time” and we miss out on the important part of what was going to be said.

It happens quite a lot and when the guest has been cut off, the presenter then carries on waffling for another couple of minutes, time which could have been used to complete the guest’s answer.

Said presenter has been told in their earwig to cut them off because things are going off narrative piste. This leaves dead air they need to fill… with waffle.

Then, after the break, with the guest safely out the building, they can slag them off with impunity.

I find it more predictably despicable.

I searched for ‘Chris Nolan BBC’ and nothing came up.

They report it to counter anyone who might be checking their bias. They can point to it and say they reported it. The fact it never appeared on the main page disappears into the ether. Also they sometimes put stories like this up late at night and take them down at breakfast time. Again to make sure the minimum of people see them.

It’s utterly dishonest – but it’s one of their many, many tricks to allow them to claim to be impartial.

I was wondering if I should sign up for PRIME just to watch the last series of TOP GEAR, or as its called now ‘The Grand Tour’. It seems the last, the very last series and looking at some of the comments in DT on the BBC made me remember something Jeremy Clarkson had said to Tim Davie (or his predecessor).**

    https://www.telegraph.co.uk/tv/2024/09/12/grand-tour-one-for-the-road-review-amazon-jeremy-clarkson/

** Clarkson: “Look, I know some of the people who work at the BBC are clearly Marxists, they are quite open about it, its not right. . Tim Davie replied: No, No! They are not ‘Marxists’, Jeremy: “they are ‘Trotskyists”, there is a difference!, you know…”

And I remember reading that in one of Clarkson’s Sunday newspapers he used to write in The Sunday Times. I think, but it was some time ago. He was a good writer, on anything to do with cars that was worth writing about.

In truth the BBC always hated ‘Top Gear’, in the same way they hated the success of ‘Monty Python’, against its more mainstream offerings of boredom and Homes under the Hammer.’ All its past success gone. no vision, no talent and strictly no laughs at the BBC. Busy re-writing its history that none of the above existed. Colouring in (in bright Orange) the Weather News slots, that we are all doomed ‘due to HOT climate change!’ – unless we drive less, joke less, breed less, drink less, eat less and pay more, for less. It was also freezing, and a cold Summer.

BBC finally got rid of ‘Top Gear’ II, after a nasty accident with the new presenters. The program though died in popularity some time ago, when they BBC, sacked Clarkson. He did well and proved what idiots the BBC are and remain so.

Do they care? I don’t think so. As one commenter on DT stated today:
“Jimmy Saville and Huw Edwards thrived at the BBC whilst Jeremy Clarkson got sacked”.
Pretty much says it all really….
Still not decided to signed up to Grand Tour, but it does look good.

I can’t bear to watch any of the new Top Gear simply because the entire thing is scripted from start to finish while they try to act like it’s spontaneous.

It’s most definitely targetted at pub-going wannabe middle-class males. The sort who consider Chris Evans boasting about himself and how much money he’s got as a role-model.

Which is a shame : Clarkson’s books and columns have me laughing out loud. He just knows his market and is clever enough to cater for it.

‘A man has admitted posting social media messages designed to stir up racial hared as riots hit the UK.

Ehsan Hussain, from Birmingham, has been warned to expect a substantial custodial sentence.’

As ever buried in the regional section of the BBC.

If you go to the front page of the DT there is a little more detail not mentioned on the BBC:

“The messages appeared on a Telegram chat group called “Southport Wake Up”, which had more than 12,000 members.

Screenshots of the messages, obtained by police, show Hussain urging people to “conquer Alum Rock”, a predominantly Muslim neighbourhood, saying: “Sick of these smelly scumbags”.

Other racist messages, Hussain’s contribution to a conversation he had with two other users, included: “We’ve got a Blues match on Saturday; we can do a part 2 on Saturday get these p— scums out.”

He also wrote: “Birmingham first! We need to take back whats ours” and “we doing p— bashing”.”

The DT report is relevant to the case and the wider issues and they have reported similar details for all those convicted.

While just another piece of the rioting jigsaw, why will the bBC not learn to report in an equitable manner. We are supposed to be one country and we should report with one set of rules. Traditional bBC two tier bias by omission.

And another one which the BBC don’t want us to see seems to have gone straight into a category called ‘Local News’ where I doubt anyone would find it by accident.

They have played the headline right down : it doesn’t mention it was by a pro-Palestinian protestor.

    Meanwhile others are reporting this:

The BBC normally can’t get enough of ‘Elon Musk’….when they’re trying their damndest to find something to criticise him for. So somewhat odd to hear extensive reporting of the SpaceX spacewalk today and no mention of Musk…who founded the company and is the CEO.

The only mention of Musk in a long report is way, way down the bottom and they don’t tell you that he founded and runs SpaceX…it’s very vague…and I listened to many news bulletins and it’s the same…no Musk mentions…

‘And entrepreneurs like Isaacman and Elon Musk want to expand private space travel so that more non-professional astronauts can go to space. ‘

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c86l6j2w865o

You seek him here, you seek him there…just don’t bother seeking him on the BBC. Strange that the BBC isn’t too keen on you knowing about this.

A Muslim used a fake name, Chris Nolan, to post violent racist comments intended to stir up the riots…and the BBC barely notices…its short report didn’t reveal what his messages were and anyway it’s been sent rapidly down the ‘nothing to see here’ chute and is no longer visible on the website unless you google it.

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c623pxq6n01o

The Telegraph is more forthcoming and honest as it details what was said….if it had been a real whitey the BBC would have pasted it to the frontpage for days and screamed about the ‘hate’ and social media and ‘something must be done!’…not now though…they’ve buried it…but others haven’t…

‘An Asian man used the fake name Chris Nolan on social media to stir up racial hatred in Birmingham during the summer riots, saying: “We need to take back what’s ours.”

Ehsan Hussain, 25, used the name to post messages calling for disorder during disorder that spread across Britain.

The messages appeared on a Telegram chat group called “Southport Wake Up”, which had more than 12,000 members.

Screenshots of the messages, obtained by police, show Hussain urging people to “conquer Alum Rock”, a predominantly Muslim neighbourhood, saying: “Sick of these smelly scumbags”.

He also wrote: “Birmingham first! We need to take back whats ours” and “we doing p— bashing”.

Hussain, from Yardley, pleaded guilty at Birmingham magistrates’ court to distributing “threatening, abusive or insulting” written material intending to stir up racial hatred between Aug 3 and 6.

He was warned to expect a substantial custodial sentence and was remanded into custody for sentencing at Birmingham Crown Court on Friday.’

‘The NHS has crumbling hospitals, fewer scanners than many other developed nations and is years behind the private sector in terms of digital innovation, it says.’

Hmmmm….so how will ‘reform’ and no spending change things then if the real problem is lack of capital spending on infrastructure and kit?

For the last 14 years the BBC has campaigned for more money and more doctors. Today we discover that more doctors is actually a bad thing and more money is not the answer…it’s how it is spent.

We hear that the NHS has enough money but spends it unwisely….so no need to spend…just reform…fits in nicely with Labour’s narrative.

Not more doctors, not more hospitals…what we need is efficiency….oh and austerity.

How bizarre to hear Starmer and his pet stooge, Darzi, blaming the Tories for breaking the NHS due to austerity and then hear them insist that things must be put on an even footing, stabilised and properly grounded before we can consider spending.

It sounds exactly like the Tories and austerity MkII…

‘Responding to the report during a speech in London, Sir Keir said the problems would not be solved by just more money.

“We can’t duck long-term change. This isn’t just going to be solved by more money, it’s solved by reform.”‘

Not a lot of shouting from the BBC…guess after 14 years of shouting at the Tories for their austerity measures the BBC is all shouted out.

And not a lot of fact checking as Labour spin a fine tale…no fact check and no context or nuance….

‘ord Darzi was also critical of the “disastrous” 2012 reforms introduced by the coalition government, which led to a shake-up of management structure in the NHS and acted as a distraction for the rest of the decade.
    ‘Normalising the abnormal’

It said all this contributed to the NHS entering the pandemic in a depleted state, leading to the cancellation of more hospital treatments than any comparable country and the “ballooning” waiting list, which currently stands at 7.6 million.’

    THAT’S CLEARED THAT UP THEN….

All those silly people making so much fuss about the Winter fuel allowance cuts have been well and truly put in their places by a spokesman for Keir Starmer, or more specifically Sue Gray.

The reality is apparently that ,all along this cut to the fuel allowance was a ruse to get more people to claim Pension credit..well that’s clear then.

If only they had said so at the start , why, oh, why ,did they come out with this rubbish about it being so necessary because of the “black hole” in the finances ,that was itself such a surprise to the Treasury .
Wait a minute…..could this new version or, account of why this has been done is itself some sort of ruse, or ,other?

My goodness , this is beginning to sound as though we can’t trust Sue Greys government at all. Remember if all those who are potentially eligible for Pension credit claim , the bill for the Treasury i.e. all of us , could be £3.8 bn. Which my understanding of maths may mean a bigger “black hole”.

Anyway the message , or should l say messages from the New Sue Gray Government is ” There nothing to worry about” we are on the case…

    Well that’s all right then!

One, or two (depending how you look at this edition) of those little state of the nation incidents…

Police minister’s bag stolen at police conference… Thieves struck while Dame Diana blamed the Conservatives for an “epidemic of antisocial behaviour, theft and shoplifting” (BBC) – draw your own conclusions there.

Well, Maggie Thatcher was once upon a time nicknamed “The Milk Snatcher” (there’s one for the teenagers) but now our Sir Keir’s media spin doctors can’t quite seem to damp down his OAP winter fuel allowance theft story, just yet…

Politics. Government did not assess harm of winter fuel cut on pensioners (left-leaning ‘i’ newspaper)

This despite our (his?) BBC pushing front and centre a feature photo of what can best be described with the HMV slogan “His Master’s Voice”

Memorable images combined with memorable phrases. Think of that famous old master painting “When did you last see your father?”

Russia can end war now, says PM as Putin warns West (BBC) – Mr AsI enjoyed calling Rishi Sunak the Swindon Regional Manager – our Sir Keir is even less akin to a Churchillian statesman – more like the Swindon personality by-pass Manager

(photo credit PA Media) – business class poseur political economy second-tier Sir Keir sits posing on a plane – Washington-bound – adorned with his famous expensive new face-furniture (shoulda gone to SpecSavers) and surrounded by the elite of our press corps apparently eating out of his hand (metaphorically speaking)

I recognise Robert Peston (ITV), the chap who threw his comb away a decade or so ago and has never looked back, nor willingly ever finished a sentence. Pesto crouches as though his chronic speech constipation has manifested in his gut.

Geek of the week pin-up Chris Mason (BBC), at Keir’s left shoulder, stares blankly into the middle distance, for all the world looking the bored student condemned to the Friday afternoon PPE lecture – when he’d rather be doing Minecraft or Halo or Skyrim (I don’t know, I don’t do computer games)

Is that Isabella Allen (BBC)? Old school notebook and pen in hand looking somewhat more lady-like than Pesto in her constipated lean forward mock concentration. This pic has all the life-like naturalism of a Victorian family photograph that required the group to hold their poses for three-quarters-of-an-hour.

That tubby bloke who looks like Dom Joly… can’t place him but he’s got broadsheet written all over him and behind him a deadringer for the bald-headed, lab-coated former non-speaking part sketch foil to Vic Reeves (Big Night Out) – the one who loved the spirit level but was afraid of chives. Dr Bunsen Honeydew off the Muppets – choose your own analogous weird looking character.

All hanging on Sir Keir’s every word. Our elite press corps… Gosh I hope that plane fight was well insured. Full court press to borrow a US term.

And hilariously, another photo, same Sir Keir, same top shelf specs suit and tie (and stuffed shirt) exact same pose (because we guessed Keir was carefully posed) mock statesman-like gesture of explanation – but with a different press pack, packed in a press around the dear leader – hanging on his every word. Déjà vu or what?

Note to Starmer’s PR gurus – you’re breaking the fourth wall when you get Keir to do the exact same pose twice in two different but similar photos.

Starmer goes to Washington on first foreign trip as UK PM (New Straights Times) – this one contains a Times Radio labeled mic (the very epitome of regime media) in bottom right of the photo.

Amusingly, the pink bowling ball head with glasses is spotted again in the background of this second shot. He’s like that naughty school boy in one of those old complete school staff and pupil panoramic shots who after appearing in the extreme left of the pic ran around the back as the camera slowly turned and appears again sitting at the extreme right. How many boys at this school? We would seem to have one extra.

I wonder how the bag theft got into the public domain ? A plod leak ?a Sue gray job ? A clever journo ( no) or a SPAD ?

Anyway presumably all the suspects at the venue have been arrested and charged and offered a reduced sentence for a guilty plea with the standard 2 years inside instead of 3 …. And in a prison within 300 miles of home…in Accor’s ce with the TTK criminal justice act 2024 …

TOADY Watch #1 – a chance to speak of former President Donald Trump ….

…… unfavourably! The BBC still obsessing about the debate between (the BBC’s pronunciation) Karmarla Harris and the former President Trump. The former President does not want to debate Kamala (rhymes with Pamela, BBC) again. The former President is under the mistaken impression that he won the debate early on Tuesday morning (our time) the BBC seem to think not and they have the spot polls to prove it! JustRemainIn Webb even laughed at the former President statements the BBC replayed on TOADY.

BBC Bias? Hmmmmmnnn ….. The Jury is in and their decision has been handed to the Clerk of Court.

I’ve not listened to Today since the days of Jack de Manio (in my dad’s car on the way to school). Interesting that his Wiki entry says this: “In 1970 the programme format was changed so that there were two presenters each day. Uneasy with the new format, de Manio left the following year. At the point of his departure, de Manio was considered out-of-step with the news values of the BBC.”. Nothing changes, eh?

And I’ve done six years now without watching any TV news, and I feel better for it.

Not BB_ hardly do it .

I had a look at the executive summary of the red commissioned darci report on the NHS …

I haven’t read it all – but there is the absence of the huge population growth – and it is written for the budget . Reeve can make reference after reference to it to justify what is about to be done to us taxpayers / pensioners / home owners …..

… £37 billion shortfall of capital investments – hospitals promised by the dead party never kept – they are going to shovel cash at it .

One throw away I read was that nurses take at least one calendar month sick every year … but no mention of agency working by nhs nurses …

So add £37 billion to the £22 billion shortfall then another number – minimum £60 billion to find before the green crap is added – and the rest …
