Start the Week 7 October 2024

101 hostages are still thought to be alive one year on . May they keep strong . How will the Islamic far left BBC mark the anniversary? Roll out the continuous anti Israel anti IDF unverified Islamic terrorist claims ? Probably . The BBC still refuses to refer to Islamic terrorist gangs such as Hamas as ‘terrorist ‘-even though the Law describes them as such. The clearest indication of there the BBC support lies .

Following the judgement in the Paul Chambers case, we assert that the position of the Director of Public Prosecutions is untenable and call for him to be dismissed from his post. In pursuing the prosecution of Mr Chambers, apparently despite the contrary urging of staff within his department, Mr Starmer acted against the interests of the public, demonstrated extraordinary bad faith and a lack of understanding of the law.

To be replaced by whom ? Fik Ange ? I suppose there’s Wes Streeting, surely not Reeves, but names escape me of any other recognisable Labourites.

My Lords, I start by making a confession. I am glad that the Chamber is not full and I hope that noble Lords will keep my confession to themselves. I know that it will not please many noble friends on this side of the House and I know that it will probably please many noble Lords on the opposite side. For that, I can only say sorry to my noble friends and colleagues. Here goes: I like Theresa May. There, I have said it. Let me continue in that same vein of honesty. I equally do not trust Boris Johnson, David Davis or Liam Fox successfully to negotiate a good deal with the EU, or any other nation. There, I said that, too. I have no confidence that they have the skills, understanding and competence to do such a deal. I know that they have many other attributes, but managing a complex and tough set of negotiations is not among them.

Amazing how BBC news managed to avoid using the word ‘terrorism’ in bulletins yesterday when reporting the ‘Hamas attacks’ or the ‘Hamas fighters’….and Mishal Husain once again got the Gaza gig as she claimed, falsely, that a charity was saying there is famine in Gaza. What they actually said was there was a danger a famine might occur….you might have thought she would hold off on Oct 7…clearly meant to counter any sympathy for Israel.

Remarkable how everything is Israel’s fault.

The controversial mayor of Tower Hamlets, Lutfur Rahman, has unveiled spending plans that would use millions of pounds of council savings to achieve his manifesto promises.

Mr Rahman returned to lead the council last year, seven years after he was removed by an election court for “corrupt and illegal practices”.

There is “worry” about how the council is being run, a financial expert says.

Mr Rahman has dismissed concerns about his plans as “completely unfounded”.

“Since becoming mayor again, Mr Rahman has sought to implement some eye-catching manifesto promises, including spending £3m on universal free meals in secondary schools, and a similar amount on more community wardens and enforcement officers.”

Overall, it will mean recruiting more than 200 extra staff when there is currently no long-term funding for them.

The bad news is they got trounced 19-0. Which is perhaps why the BBC – usually ardent supporters of all things trans – are strangely quiet about this one.

I am continually amazed how few people actually engage with these malign influnces on our lives.

Govt, activist dweebs, the media… all live in a self perpetuating bubble totally unrepresentative of the country.

“Hurricane Helene: North Carolina residents fight for their survival as basic goods become scarce. North Carolina residents explain the dire need for water, power and cellphone service after Helene.”

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) arrived in Western North Carolina Monday after Gov. Roy Cooper announced President Biden had approved federal resources, but locals in Fairview maintained that they hadn’t seen any federal officials in the area Monday.

“I haven’t seen anybody from the federal government other than the Army, which is running the helicopters,” Antle said. “I’ve seen lots of out-of-state rescue, lots of county ambulances. I’ve seen lots of state resources, wildlife resources. … But I haven’t seen any federal government. I guess when you have a disaster like this, you imagine the federal government would swoop in, but that hasn’t been the case here.”

“Harris slammed for pledging millions to Lebanon as North Carolina suffers.

The Biden administration has faced criticism for its handling of Hurricane Helene relief.

“This has to be fake. Even Kamala Harris, the gold standard of stupid, isn’t stupid enough to post this,” actor James Woods said on X Saturday. “Certainly not while North Carolinians are pulling the bodies of their neighbors from the wreckage. It’s simply inconceivable.”

The post came in response to Harris pledging Saturday to send $157 million of “additional assistance” to Lebanon, which, she argued, is “facing an increasingly dire humanitarian situation.”

Speaker Lindsay Hoyle slammed the government for pushing through the decision to hand over the Chagos Islands to Mauritius during recess. Instead, Starmer and Lammy could hide from questioning whilst the announcement was made. Hoyle said:

“It is frustrating for members on both sides of the house where major planned announcements are scheduled during periods when the house is not sitting particularly towards the end of recess… members [should] have had the first opportunity to question the Secretary on it rather than learning about it through the media. Ministers should come to the House to announce their policies in the first instance.”

      Guido agrees…
