Midweek 13th November 2024

Now that the initial shock of the victory of President Trump is subsiding – we can expect the Far Left Anti British BBC to go into full hostility to him – we’ve been here before .

    And…here we go….

“The FBI has seized the CEO of Polymarket’s phone and electronics after the election-betting platform successfully forecast Donald Trump’s win.

Shayne Coplan, 26, was targeted at his Soho home during a dawn raid on Wednesday, sources told the New York Post.

The insider blasted the seizure as ‘grand political theater at its worst’.

‘They could have asked his lawyer for any of these things. Instead, they staged a so-called raid so they can leak it to the media and use it for obvious political reasons,’ the source said.”

‘”They will weaponize the [Department of Justice] to protect themselves and their allies and we must stop them from executing Trump’s plans for revenge and retribution.”‘

Entirely as predicted, the BBC are running ‘political persecution headlines’ about Trumps policies.

Normally I would not support revenge of any kind. It’s a cold, deliberate act without any ‘heat of the moment’ to justify it.

But in this case I am 100% behind Trump doing whatever he can to those dirty b@st@rds. They have gone after him in any and every dirty way they could. They set up committees just to find ways to impeach him. They tried – and failed – twice while the BBC harped on about how ‘historic’ and unprecedented it was. Then they went after him with hundreds of legal attacks and when all those failed, they tried to assassinate him. Twice. And they might not be finished yet.

So get in there Donald and give them a taste of what they have been dishing out. They absolutely deserve it. The Left have turned the entire system into a third-world shithole corrupt farce with bent governors, Judges and stooges in key government positions which are supposed to protect against it happening. Dismantle it all and make it difficult for these modern Nazis to do it again.

If you have any time left, please do what you can to the MSM and the BBC. They are 100% complicit and infested with far-Left activists. It was their job as a democratic check-and-balance to stop it.

The BBC relentlessly defends the rights of journalists and their independence from government but not in this case..both the BBC and Guardian seem to be studiously ignoring this Stalinist attack not just on ‘journalism’ but freedom of speech where the police can essentially label you a hate criminal with no evidence or substance to any accusation….of course Pearson is a right-leaning journo and so only right she’s banged up…if it had been a BBC or Guardian journo there would be a massive row.

If Allison Pearson does become such a victim she should perhaps sue for libel and put the police and the Home Office in the dock especially as Cooper looks likely to give more powers to the police to libel people and ruin their lives.

Maybe the BBC will report it then.

Pearson should have told the Police where to get off and invited them to arrest her, then got on with attending Remembrance Day.

Talking about Non Crime Hate…….I once got involved with a row with an extremely fat woman in a supermarket car park. She was so fat she couldn’t get out of her car without he door banging on to my car. When I remonstrated with her she was most affronted and blamed me for parking correctly in my space. When I suggested she should try slimming down she flew into a rage and very nearly smashed my side window. I noticed her taking my car number presumably to report me to the Police for fat shaming, a Non Crime Hate Incident. I never heard anything.

      • Zephir says:

@F2 voluntary interview is a bit of a misnomer, it allows you not to be arrested and if you don’t go, guess what ?

It means in essence they do not have quite enough on you and want you to incriminate yourself so ALWAYS have a solicitor present:

“Why are police opting for voluntary interviews as opposed to making arrests?

The statistics we mentioned earlier do not lie, but they do not provide a clear-cut reason behind this shift either. There may be many different reasons as to why voluntary interviews are becoming more popular. What we can say with certainty is that the decrease in arrests is not a result of crime dramatically decreasing. There has not been a major change in law to prompt this increase in voluntary interviews; however, it could be argued that there has been a major shift in police policy in recent years.

One potential reason for choosing a voluntary interview over an arrest is that police have received a complaint but do not have enough evidence to make an arrest, or perhaps it’s the simple fact that voluntary interviews are more cost effective than arrests and detention. Another possible reason is that voluntary interviews avoid many of the legal issues involved in placing someone under arrest. For example, they can be dealt with at a time and date that’s convenient to all parties, potentially resulting in a smoother process, rather than taking the potentially stressful and time-consuming route of formal custody.

Can an interview become an arrest?

An interview and an arrest are two separate matters. If you’re initially invited into a police station for a voluntary police interview but the decision is made to arrest you, the police officer(s) must inform the custody officer who will then inform you that you’re under arrest. When under arrest, you’re prevented from leaving the police station, however, the police can only hold you for up to 24 hours before they have to charge you with a crime or release you.

The right to refuse a voluntary police interview

You can refuse to partake as it’s a ‘voluntary’ interview, however, a refusal to attend could prompt the police to arrest you, where you will need to give a “standard interview” in custody. It’s important to note that you are entitled to independent legal advice whether you are giving a standard or voluntary interview.

        What are voluntary police interviews?

If you are asked by the police to attend a voluntary interview, sometimes referred to as an interview under caution, you are not under arrest and you do not have to consent to being interviewed. It’s important to understand that you are under caution and these “quick chats” can result in criminal proceedings being commenced. The interview will be recorded and can therefore be used as evidence. Voluntary police interviews can seem rather informal, especially when compared to arrests, but the level of seriousness should not be overlooked. For example, some individuals may not even be aware of the fact they are ‘suspects’ in criminal proceedings. Below are just a few key points to remember regarding your rights:

You’re not under arrest and you don’t have to consent to being interviewed – though this could work against you in the event of further investigation.
Before the police interviewer asks you to consent, you must be told about your rights, entitlements and safeguards.
You can leave at any time (unless you are arrested).
Simply tell the police interviewer that you want a solicitor to help you during the interview process. If you do ask for legal advice, the police interviewer is not permitted to ask you questions until you have had the chance to speak to a solicitor.
This phrase is one you’ll have no likely heard before, but when you’re asked questions about a suspected offence, “you do not have to say anything. However, it may harm your defence if you do not mention when questioned something that you later rely on in court.”

So when the ‘puter flags up hurty words polity just rummage around in their quiver looking for the right criminal charge arrows to fitup the person writing the hurty words. Well, to be fair, and to play the game, so to speak – the failing Ukraine is – just like our own NHS – in danger of being ‘overwhelmed’ this winter…

Will Trump trigger Ukraine’s defeat? (Channel 4) – nope, Donald Trump isn’t in command of the Russian military juggernaut that’s beating our Nato proxy Ukraine down there in the Donbas.

By the way, hat tip to Academic Agent channel on You Tube, which highlights for us Betteridge’s Law of Headlines

Betteridge’s Law of Headlines is the idea that any headline that ends in a question mark can be answered with “no”. The law is named after British journalist Ian Betteridge, who wrote about it in 2009. The law is based on the idea that if the publishers were confident in the answer, they would have stated it as an assertion. – thank you AI Overview

    For example:

Will Kamala Harris become president despite losing to Trump? Will that be right? (India Today) – that’s a daft throw away one.

Of course the law only really holds true when the headline appears in some regime-adjacent media outlet.

Has Kamala Harris got what it takes to beat Trump? (Anthony Zurcher, BBC, 22 July 2024) – NO!

Can Kamala Harris win on the economy? (BBC Newsnight, 29 October 24) – NO!

Can Kamala Harris win on the economy? (The Economist, 4 August 24) – same again… all together now… NO!

What would happen if, for example, all of us on here spent the rest of the day submitting complaints to the police about the lefties on X or FB who regularly post daft provocative things.
Every Gaza post, every net zero post and so on we could say we find offensive.
Would the police have to go round doing an Alison Pearson on every complaint we make or is it only lefties who are allowed to complain.

Someone with a big reach (Elon?) could orchestrate a mass submitting of complaints to the police from hundreds of thousands of us on X to submit say 100 complaints each. When the police get multi millions of complaints would they investigate every one and if not why not.
Would the whole system break down.

It’s possible that the police would relish these mass complaints as their crime detection numbers would probably shoot up and they could ignore even more of the real crimes.
They could up the shoplifting allowance from £200 to £2,000
I think burglary and car theft is no longer part of police work apart from them issuing insurance numbers.

The Manchester Airport type of offences look to be forgotten and it’s only when someone on the right does something such as shout at a police dog or say a police horse looks gay that they spring into action with the full force of the law.

We really need our own ‘Trump’ here who would get the police back to being neutral and become respected as they were before when PC meant Police Constable.

If/when Reform manage to form a government one of the first things to do should be to get a neutral (if there is one) accounting Company to collate and publish all the facts and figures relating to the true cost of the legal and illegal immigration.

Monies paid out including benefits and credits, hotel, health, translators and the whole industry built up around this million plus per year incoming.

The crime figures and prison statistics plus the cost of keeping prisoners as well as the cost to the victims and things like higher insurance premiums.

The housing numbers, those being given accomodation and the Brits on the ever lengthening waiting lists. The increasing price to buy a home. If a million plus are coming in each year and 250k houses are being built we are going backwards. Just think, if it stopped (net zero immigration) then 250k more families would get a home every year.

We could fill pages with reasons but Reform must get the data and publish it, stop it being kept secret from the British population.
There’s ever so many other lists and facts they could collate and publish with all of them showing the current liblabcon up in a very bad light. Energy prices for example.

If they did, liblabcon would be out of government for at least 20 years.

Marianna Spring: Truth and the social media scandal
From JFK’s assassination to the moon landing, conspiracy theories have always existed. But the rise of social media has enabled fake news to spread like wildfire.

Award-winning journalist Marianna Spring joins the podcast to take Alan and Lionel on a tour through what she calls “Conspiracyland”, a hinterland between the online world and perceived reality.

Marianna is the Disinformation and Social Media correspondent for the BBC and is also the author of Among the Trolls: My Journey Through Conspiracyland. She attempts to make sense of what causes people to be sucked in to myths—whole movements sprang during the pandemic, based on disinformation around Covid-19. This summer’s far-right riots were sparked by false information. And after the attempted assassination of Donald Trump during his election campaign, others couldn’t distinguish if what happened was real or staged.

As more people believe in wild stories, what impact does it have on society?
Will we look back with disbelief at how the truth became distorted beyond recognition, on giant unregulated social media platforms?

Anyone tuning in with belief needs sectioning.

TWatO Watch #1 – the Montacutie’s attacking Israel again today as she did yesterday

Some discredited organisation – think it is UN affiliated – has suggested Israel has committed ‘war crimes’ in Gaza. Straight away, after the usual “the BBC is not allowed access for its journalists in Gaza” (the Israelis are not stupid, they know the BBC is biased against them!) the Montacutie was on the phone to a Palestinian in London who has a father and sister in Gaza.

The father is 80 years old, the son said. The Israelis have advised them to leave. The son said the neighbour’s house was destroyed by a bomb or a missile. The Montacutie did not ask whether they were Hamas affiliates. Typical for the BBC. Why should the Israelis allow the BBC into Gaza? They are very non-curious for supposed journalists. I suspect the Isarelis know that.

The nice people all decant from X to ‘Bluesky’ or somesuch….what do they do when the horrible [deplorable garbage] people also join Bluesky? Oddly those who want their own little world and echo chamber of self-comforting, self-approving cant where no-one has hurty triggering ideas that conflict with theirs are the same people who insist we fling open the borders and let in all and sundry…but of course they won’t come in to contact with them….so importing criminals, terrrorists, rapists and others generally won’t impact their lives. You have to put up with those ciminals, rapists, drug peddlers, terrorists and others but they won’t put up with triggering words and ideas.

Of course the reality is that the fleeing rats just don’t like Musk…and nor does the BBC. Did hear an interesting thing today on 5Live….Trump may have had a big boost from X as it allowed on voices that criticised Biden and supported Trump…you can infer from that that in the 2019 election Twitter as it was then didn’t allow such voices on…which from personal experience I can confirm…Twitter deleting, suspending or challenging accounts that raised awkward questions. Twitter had an entrenched left-wing bias that attempted to suppress and silence inconvenient truths.

And I see that old Soapy Sopel is now graciously allowing me to read his words of wisdom but blocks me from comment…an upgrade fom being blocked completely. I’m sure I’m eternally grateful and my life will take a much better and just path with Sopel’s enlightening words to guide me.

It’s not just the Graun throwing their Twitter/X toys out of the pram after the US election.

BBCDom – Dominic Casciani, Home and Legal Correspondent – has followed the Guardian and publicly renounced Elon’s revived free speech platform in favour of Twitter’s much smaller, lefty-biased rival BlueSky.

    https://x.com/BBCDomC/status/1856846094493454593

BBCDom is best known for trying to undermine people worried after mass immigration and for baiting Tommy Robinson on Twitter – as impartially as you’d expect from a BBC lefty who was forever posting on Twitter when it was a censorious lefty echo chamber.

Even Wikipedia has this to say about BBCDom’s new choice of platform:

”BlueSky has faced criticism, including from former board member Jack Dorsey, for failing to protect free speech and for a perceived left-wing bias.”

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bluesky

    Sounds perfect for BBCDom.

Talk Radio’s Mike Graham has just tweeted on Twitter/X, ”Leftie meltdown continues…Bluesky is currently down.”

What do these BBC idiots cite as one of the big reasons foreign student numbers have dropped ?

‘International recruitment has also fallen, with overall visa applications down by about 16% this year, and 20% fewer applications from India alone.’
‘Since January, most international students have been banned from bringing family members to live with them in the UK.’
‘The rule was introduced last year by Rishi Sunak’s government, which committed to bringing immigration numbers down.’

Of course the BBC do not go near the reason for those new rules which is the abuse of education visas – which is about the only reason I can think of for student to need to bring all their family members.

The lie by omission is the greatest lie.

This sums up the Left perfectly.
They are constantly watching GB News just looking for any chance to complain or vent their venom. It takes a special kind of hate to do that.

I, on the other hand, NEVER go to ‘The Guardian’ website unless a specific search leads me there. Their articles are chock full of Leftists hatred of whites and males. I really don’t want to spend my life full of the kind of disgust it fills me with.

It gives me a good insight to the Lefty’s mindset that they choose to spend their time on GB News through sheer spite. They actually enjoy being full of hate and sense of their own moral superiority.

I only check the BBC because they are using their enormous power to attempt to force their own far-Left agenda onto the whole world using the money of people who do not share their views but are forced to pay them to do it by law. It gives me no pleasure at all : many times I simply close the window as I am just exasperated by their incessant pushing of their ideology. Once they have to rely on voluntary payment to be able to do it, we are back into ‘democracy’ and we cannot complain and I will visit them as often as I visit The Guardian.
