TWatO Watch #2 – the Taliban are obviously short of a few brain cells in Afghanistan

A decree has been issued by the ruling Taliban in Afghanistan that women will not be allowed to train as midwives. That means women will die in childbirth. Collateral damage; other wives easily available under Islam. What it also means is that babies may die also, thereby depriving widowers from finding young brides, 20 years or less hence. If they are male babies then the Taliban will not have recruits for fighters and the general patriarchy.

    Oooops!

The UK formally opened the Afghan Citizens Resettlement Scheme (ACRS) on 6 January 2022.

      The scheme will prioritise:

those who have assisted the UK efforts in Afghanistan and stood up for values such as democracy, women’s rights, freedom of speech, and rule of law
vulnerable people, including women and girls at risk, and members of minority groups at risk (including ethnic and religious minorities and LGBT+)
The government will resettle more than 5,000 people in the first year and up to 20,000 over the coming years.

When Labour reaped the reward of the disintegration of the Conservative Party post partygate with the support of the BBC and Guardian etc. I was dismayed to accept that it had opened the floodgates to a nonsense Labour Party running things. However as the Labour Party and in particular Starmer have floundered from one rock to another in a storm of astounding totally out of touch incompetence I think it may turn out to be a blessing in disguise.

If Starmer holds the course he is currently on it could mean the eventual total destruction of the Labour Party as a relevant force in this Country. The people and therefore voters in this country are not stupid even if TTK and his stormtroopers think they are sheep to be fed shit.

I cannot recall any incoming new government having such a dire reception off the UK public in such a short time. To have a major petition calling for the government to go after such a short time is unprecedented in modern politics,

Z the ‘poster’ misses the incident which has torpedoed democracy in the US which was the bugging of the incoming Trump transition team.
Nixon bugged the Democratic National Committee HQ. The journalists Woodward and Bernstein (ably assisted by deepthroat) broke the story and Nixon resigned. The criminal affair was paid for by Republican supporters.
The FBI bugged Trump on the grounds of the dodgy Steele dosier. Essentially the tax payer has footed the bill and still no one has been held to account for the criminal action. Also interesting that no MSM journalist has pursued the matter either.
As an aside it looks as if deepthroat was an FBI employee – just a thought but had the FBI bugged the Republican party to find out what was going on?

“British band Sports Team robbed at gunpoint on US tour”

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cy09gkr08lpo

    Who?
So everyone was In Starbucks, having left all their passports, electronics, film cameras and laptops, in their van..
    And suddenly like:

“Somebody opened the door and was like, does anybody have a white Sprinter van? Because you’re being robbed right now,” drummer Al Greenwood told the BBC.’

So they all ran out screaming.
Robber waves a gun, and makes his getaway..
(Kind of stretching the definition “robbed at gunpoint”)

Anyway, they all run back in screaming, and :

“Guys, get inside. Please stay inside,” says a female voice, as the bandmates duck back inside the entrance.
“It was very discombobulating because they just carried on with their shift,” said Greenwood.
“They started serving drinks straight away,” added Rice.

Naturally it’s the exact same globalist government as here so:

‘When they contacted the police, the band say they were advised to “fill out an online form” about the robbery, and that no officers were sent to investigate.’

Donald Trump repeats baseless claim about Haitian immigrants eating pets
    https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c77l28myezko
Trump vows mass deportations from town rocked by ‘pet-eating’ lies
Vance doubles down on false ‘pet-eating’ claims
    https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cgj447j5711o

And then right out of the blue we get:
Woman sentenced in case that sparked Springfield cat-eating rumours
    https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cy890gpqw1po

This is an excellent example of the BBC dirty trick of labelling statements by Trump as ‘false’ and ‘baseless’ without possibly being able to know if they are actually false or not.

In this case, someone in Ohio DID eat a cat (she stamped on it’s head then proceeded to eat it) and she looked like this:

    dacva1d8_allexis-ferrell_625x300_12_September_24.jpeg?im=FeatureCrop,algorithm=dnn,width=545,height=307

    Here are some Hiatian women:
    63e0e07fa6b8cb2452193f61_image-history-goal-vision-ladies.webp

So the original claims were not baseless or false whatsoever. It actually happened and it’s entirely possible to mistake the woman as a Hiatian – especially if there are many in the area. It seems that an entire statement can be rubbished as ‘baseless’ and ‘false’ by the BBC simply by mistaking the racial identity of the person who definitely did what was claimed.

They introduced this lie after the claims of election interference to try and rubbish Trump and the Right. They got away with it and have been using it extensively to exclusively discredit the Right ever since – along with the old ‘without providing evidence’.

They should have been quickly stopped by OFCOM for asserting truths or lies they cannot possibly prove. But OFCOM keep quiet = respumably because the BBC are their own judge and jury for things like this. It’s a farce.

“Alex Tadross sells cassette tapes and players”

He can keep them, annoying things: they used to get stuck, get chewed up, break- need repairing with sellotape, unspool – spend 5 minutes winded them back using a pencil in middle the reel…
They were good for recording free music, and Walkmans, that’s about it,
Vinyl degraded too fast especially with scratches.
    CD’s were low resolution .
Super Audio CD (SACD) was the zenith.

Best today is high bit rate digital rips of SACD or top grade vinyl shared via torrents.

And, although I agree with tapes, regarding higher resolution, firstly, how has anyones’ hearing degraded over the years, so is it even worth it ?

I vividly recall a “Saxon” concert I was promoting and had to leave the room because the treble sound was like knives in the ears.

My PA guy told me later that their sound mixer had lost the higher range of his hearing so was pulling up the higher frequencies so HE could hear them, thus the awful mix.

I go for reasonable compromise without breaking the bank, some active bookshelf speakers (Edifier) have made a big difference to computer speakers where I listen to MP3 s and Sony headphones, but I could have spent literally hundreds or even thousands…

    Experts are back.
Yeah, when anyone considers USA’s democratic problems they immediately think of the January 6th “riot” with terrible images of people strolling around the grounds taking in the sights.

Not: Joe Biden somehow gaining more votes than Obama, vote rigging, importing voters, non citizens voting, ID less voting, hanging chads, suspiciously wrong opinion polls, phantom Russian interference, Dominion voting machine, etc.

    “Why was Yoon feeling pressured?”

“He has also seen a fall in approval ratings – hovering around lows of 17% ”

‘I worry every second’: Mother of only British hostage in Gaza fears for her life
    https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cq5le4w5454o

Here is an excellent example of the lies we are being told by the Left about these hostages.

BBC: ‘The US, Egypt and Qatar have spent months working on a deal to secure the release of the 97 remaining hostages in return for a ceasefire in Gaza. But the negotiations have stalled, with Hamas and Israel blaming each other for the impasse.’
Reuters: ‘Hamas says Israel still blocking ceasefire agreement’
Both taking what the designated terrorist group Hamas say as equal truth weighting as Israel (or more in the case of Reuters).

    The real world:
U.S. National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan: ‘saying on CBS’s “Face the Nation” news analysis show: “What I will tell you is, whatever Hamas is saying publicly, what they are communicating to the mediators is no, we will not do a ceasefire and hostage deal at this time.”’

Lying, Islamic terrorist-supporting scum. I have no other words for these people.

Fedup, what I cannot understand is why these moaning Minnie’s couldn’t have dealt with Gregg themselves. A withering look from Kirstie Wark should have wilted Gregg at 100 paces. Her career didn’t depend on her being ‘nice to Gregg’. Penny Lancaster didn’t need the money, if she had pulled out of the programme and told the producers exactly why, something might have been done.

I might add about Penny that the Daily Mail highlighted that she had made a tartare sauce with a whole egg and it was runny. Apparently Gregg refused to taste it (although the DM clip showed John Torrode saying no). What horrified me was the comments. Many of them saying that the judges shouldn’t have had to eat raw egg. The commentators obviously do not know how to make mayonnaise, mousse, etc. Either the comments were created by AI, or there is a real lacking of cookery education or there are efforts by the push unit. It is also obvious that these young women (the names indicated it) think mayo comes in a jar and that chocolate mousse comes in a little plastic pot with a foil lid. Bring back domestic science.

PS, the sainted Delia has a recipe for mayo with whole egg rather than just the yolks suggesting it makes a lighter one.

Fedup an aside on Al Fayed and speculation only.

At the time Al Fayed was allegedly raping women, he was also unable to acquire a British passport. The reason given was that he lied on his application.

He was also involved in a court case with Neil Hamilton. He had accused Neil Hamilton of accepting cash for questions. Neil Hamilton sued him and lost and “Sleaze” was born.

Just a thought but had the police/bBC etc become aware of rape allegations against Mr Al Fayed (that had allegedly been made) , would the Hamilton trial have turned out the desired way?

Meanwhile, the gynaeceum that is our BBC, have set this media snowball well and truly rolling downhill at Mr Wallace.

Mr AsI admires a new media coining. The BBC in-house gynaeceum (part of a building set apart for women in an ancient Greek or Roman house) may be happily waving goodbye, on our behalf, to certain national treasures: Greeks claim triumph over Elgin Marbles… No 10 confirmed that it would not stand in the way of a deal to return the sculptures to their original home (Times)

But the gynaeceum have a brand new word (and crime) for us this morning: Killer in femicide that shocked Italy sentenced to life in jail (Laura Gozzi, BBC News)

Like that Marks & Spencer tag line: ‘This is not just food, this is M&S food’

This is not just murder, this is murder of a female…

The case, which captivated Italians, has thrust the concepts of femicide, patriarchy and male violence into the headlines (BBC)

One senses we’ve a push for more two-tier laws on the way.

    Here beginneth the lesson…

In November, at the launch of a foundation established by Gino Cecchettin in memory of Giulia, Education Minister Giuseppe Valditara [in the Giorgia Meloni cabinet from 22 october 2022] argued that the patriarchy no longer existed in Italy and said the rise in sexual violence was instead “linked to the marginalisation and perversion that stems from illegal immigration”. (BBC) – Illegal Immigration? Oops!… They did it again (to borrow from Britney Spears)

Of course our BBC are always most anxious to provide ‘balance’…

In the very next paragraph of their report: The comments sparked outrage. “Giulia was killed by a respectable, white Italian man,” Elena Cecchettin [Giulia’s sister] hit back. “What is the government doing?” (BBC) – not all that respectable then was he?

Health Two minutes of intense exercise a day can cut women’s risk of heart attack (‘i’) – no mention of men there. But I guess two minutes is longer than most men can last, eh ladies? Whitehall reverts to working from home… Labour oversees drop in office numbers (top story in the Telegraph)

But can we please concentrate on South Korea says the BBC and as if in response their top two picks in their morning print press review go with: South Korean president… blah… blahde… blah (FT); Turmoil in South Korea… blah… blahde… blah (Guardian)

I’m ineviatbly reminded of Kelvin MacKenzie crossing swords with the massed ranks of those female foreign correspondents of the BBC and Channel 4 at that gynaeceum central venue that is Newsnight over the relative news importance of their penchant for, as he put it ‘foreign bang-bang’, over closer to home news that was closer to his old newsman’s heart.

From our heroine to our zeroine (new wordcoining there from Mr AsI)

And as though proof were needed that those media middle class women of a certain age were the problem: Allison Pearson I can’t bear to watch creepy Wallace (Telegraph) – Now tell us what you think about Gromit, luv?

    Put a sock on it

Sad to relate, even out old mate Matt in the mildly conservative Telegraph fires a blank and misses the target somewhat this morning. He sketches a pair of uniformed museum staff patrolling past the Elgin Marbles: “It’s only Greek sculptures of a certain age that have a problem with the British Museum” – Sorry Matt. Not funny, doesn’t make sense.

Because what with all the Gregg Wallace and K-pol excitement – there’s nothing much else of importance going on.

At least there’s one middle class media woman of a certain age who’s happy…

And as they used to conclude that old BBC magazine show That’s Life: “And finally, Esther…”

“The summit of Mount Everest lies in the death zone.

In mountaineering, the death zone refers to altitudes above which the pressure of oxygen is insufficient to sustain human life for an extended time span. This point is generally agreed as 8,000 m (26,000 ft), where atmospheric pressure is less than 356 millibars (10.5 inHg; 5.16 psi).[1] The concept was conceived in 1953 by Edouard Wyss-Dunant, a Swiss doctor, who called it the lethal zone.[2] All 14 peaks above 8000 m (the “eight-thousanders”) in the death zone are located in the Himalaya and Karakoram regions of Asia. “

From the DT – BBC tax collectors threaten to strike – enjoy

STARTS The BBC is facing the threat of a strike by licence fee collectors after workers voted overwhelmingly in favour of a walkout in a row over pay.

Almost 97pc of TV Licensing (TVL) workers, who are contracted to collect the fee on behalf of the broadcaster through outsourcer Capita, voted for strike action in protest against an “unreasonable” pay freeze. Just under 99pc voted for action short of a strike.

Any walkout would be a setback for the BBC, which relies on the £169.50 fee for the majority of its £5.7bn annual income.

Staff at TV Licensing are responsible for enforcing payment of the fee, which is obligatory for all households accessing live TV or programmes on BBC iPlayer. They also carry out administrative tasks, including collection of the charge.

It is understood that Capita has contingency plans in place if industrial action were to take place.

    Staff feel disrespected
Capita has frozen pay for roughly 500 TV Licensing workers as part of wider cost-cutting measures at the outsourcing giant.

Bosses have argued that the move is necessary as the company looks to stem losses. Capita lost £107m last year after taking a £25m hit from a cyber attack against its pensions division.
Union leaders have previously complained that staff felt disrespected and suffered from low morale as a result of the pay freeze.

The CWU launched a ballot on strike action after negotiations with Capita management broke down.

Andy Furey, CWU assistant secretary, said: “Our Capita TVL members have emphatically rejected the unreasonable pay freeze position that has been imposed upon them by an employer who is evidently out-of-touch with the stark realities of the cost of living.

“Talks at Acas are planned for Thursday, and we would hope that Capita come to this meeting prepared to make a realistic offer to avoid action by our members.

“The CWU’s aim is to find a way forward without recourse to industrial action. However, if Capita remain obdurate, they would be underestimating the determination of our members to secure a fair outcome.”

A spokesman for Capita said: “Capita and the CWU have been engaged in discussions and further talks are scheduled for later this week. We are committed to working towards the best possible outcome for our people, in collaboration with the CWU.”

It comes as the BBC prepares for discussions over the future of the licence fee ahead of the end of the current Charter period in 2027.
Tim Davie, the BBC’s director general, has kicked off a review of the funding model, acknowledging that it is not fit for purpose in the modern streaming age. However, he has pushed back against calls for a subscription model similar to those employed by streaming services such as Netflix.

    The BBC declined to comment.ENDS

All these sudden claims of abuse remind me of Mexican car accidents:

If a US registered car driving in Mexico has even a slight crash the back seat of the car is magically filled with 5000 Mexicans all claiming whiplash injuries. US Insurance companies are on the hook.

I guess my question is how much money does the BBC have to shell out for ‘abuse’ or ‘hurty word’ claims?

In the interest of citizen journalism, I decided to investigate his claims and took a deep dive into Mel’s oeuvre for Boddingtons. You might call it fact-checking.
I can confirm that, sure enough, the entire ad campaign revolves around Mel’s ass-ets and is full of sexual innuendo.

    From Guido

BBC Verify Manages to Increase Cost to Taxpayer by £100,000 Despite Cutting Staff.

Back in April Guido revealed that the BBC’s beleaguered “fact-checking” service Verify employed a whopping 63 people with combined salary of £3.2 million. As Guido calculated in the summer its staff were therefore being paid approximately £13,675 per article produced. Nice for some…

It can now be revealed that after months of debunked reporting and observed decreases in article production BBC Verify has actually managed to increase its staff costs by £100,000. Despite the fact that two members of staff have been dropped…

A Guido FOI has established that 61 people with costs of £3.3 million now form the Verify team. Meanwhile, the BBC stoutly refuses to reveal any details of expense costs claimed by its Verify employees, like gratuitous trips to the USA, on the grounds that it has dispensation to protect information relating to “art, journalism or literature.” In many ways Verify does look like some kind of bizarre art project.

    From the DT

    STARTS
Clive Myrie Failed to declare up to £250,000 of external events that he undertook outside his BBC job, he has admitted.

The BBC News presenter earned the huge sum for speaking and hosting engagements, but did not log them on the corporation’s external events register.

After a newspaper alerted the BBC to the failings, Myrie added 29 retrospective entries to the register. For most of them, he charged up to £10,000 a time, receiving more than that on five occasions.

Clients included American Express, the National Residential Landlords Association and the Football Association.

    ‘Sincere apologies’
The presenter blamed the omissions on “administrative issues”, writing on X, formerly Twitter: “An apology – I’ve had several administrative issues, and I didn’t fill out the correct paperwork for some of my external public events, so they haven’t been published until now.

I’ve told the BBC I won’t be taking part in any more paid external events in the foreseeable future, beyond a handful of pre-existing commitments, so that this doesn’t happen again. My sincere apologies. Thanks, Clive.”

Myrie is one of the BBC’s highest-paid presenters, on a salary of £315,000 for his BBC news role plus an undisclosed sum for presenting Mastermind.

The events he failed to declare run from the first quarter of 2021 – when the register was introduced in an effort to increase transparency regarding BBC presenters’ earnings – to July 2024.

Myrie disclosed them only after a Sunday Times report drew attention to a handful of those events.

‘Robust management action has been taken’
The BBC said: “A number of events that were not submitted to the register in previous quarters have been retrospectively published today.

“The External Events Register forms part of the BBC’s commitment to ensure the highest standards of impartiality across the organisation. Individuals who have failed to follow the correct process have been reminded of their responsibilities with regards to the register.

“Where significant non-compliance has occurred, robust management action has been taken.

“We will be publishing an update to our current guidelines to add specific language around the volume of paid external events individuals will be permitted to undertake.

“As the current guidelines set out, breaches of the process can lead to disciplinary action.”

The BBC’s external events register does not list precise fees but groups them in bands of £1,000-£5,000, £5,000-£10,000 and over £10,000.

Myrie received over £10,000 for hosting an event for IT services company SCC; for chairing a debate held by the Energy and Sustainability Centre on the Isle of Man; for speaking at an event hosted by the wealth management firm Quilter Cheviot; for appearing at an event hosted by the Dutch bank ING; and for appearing as a panellist in an event for the Association for Insurance and Risk.

His other corporate appearances included work for the Local Government Association, Aberdeen Insurance, and an after-dinner speech for the Intermediary Mortgage Lenders Association.

He was paid £5,000-£10,000 to chair a panel at the Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce in October 2023, and picked up the same amount three weeks later when he returned there as a speaker.ENDS

Comrade Myrie should be applauded for his labours ….
