Jeremy Bowen: Assad’s torture prison is worst I have seen
    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c62w5q52pngo

This article is an excellent example of the extreme bias shown by the BBC’s favourite terrorist-sympathiser and Jew hater Jeremy Bowen.

As soon as I started reading it I was hit with his desperate attempt to invoke empathy for the Muslim’s who were held there. He starts with:
‘As I walked through the gates, I thought of the despair that must have gripped the thousands of Syrians who made the same journey.’
Then it’s chock full of irrelevant statements like:
‘When the locks were smashed open, they left behind their filthy rags and scraps of blankets which were all they had to cover themselves as they slept on the floor.’
‘”Even if one family gets one answer that their loved on is not here anymore is deceased or he died in the hospital it is enough for me” Safana told me.’
‘”What I’ve seen here is a life not fit for humans. I imagined how they lived, their clothes. How did they breathe? How did they eat? How did they feel?’

There is lots more just like that. So I found the equivalent article he wrote when he visited a site of a Hamas massacre.
‘Inside Kfar Aza where Hamas militants killed families in their homes’
    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-67065205
This is a totally different article. There is almost no empathy whatsoever. It is basic, facts-only reporting of what he saw. He doesn’t attempt anywhere to describe the terror of these 100% innocent people. Instead, he keeps throwing in snippets to discredit Israel and is not far from inferring they deserved it:
‘But in Gaza, hundreds of civilians are also being killed. International humanitarian law states clearly that all combatants must protect the lives of civilians.’ (Which by the way is a complete lie).
‘Israelis reject any comparison between the way Hamas kills civilians and the way Palestinian civilians die in their air strikes.’
‘He denied strongly that they had suspended their obligations under the laws of war. It is certain though that as more Palestinian civilians die, Israel will face stronger and stronger criticism.’

Chalk and cheese. Bowen is a cynical, ethically barren Far-Left activist who doesn’t actually care what happens to the Jews. He only cares about how he can twist the stories and use death for his own politics.

Guess it wouldn’t occur to them, as it’s not in their agenda.

Yup : the BBC finally have their chance to protray Muslim terrorists as ‘freedom fighters’ and all the bad things they do are simply ignored if they don;t fit the narrative.
This story is a long way from over. Like the war in Ukraine, the BBC will just go quiet when it’s all turning to shit.

I’ve lived through a number of local government re-organizations. From what I’ve seen not one of them benefitted the residents. They mostly served to add extra tiers of management ie empire building plus loads of expenditure on fancy new offices. The other result is the creation of an entire new council.

WFH half the time, and not even living there, but twenty miles away!

Times back in the seventies, the Clerk was often on expenses only, usually had the office in her/his home, and life went on so easily in that village.

(Today) BBC named and shamed. Astonishing similarity of global news stories….
    (excerpt from DT)
‘The vast majority of broadcasters, news sites and newspapers ought to hang their heads in shame. Of 1,378 articles published over a four month period in spring 2024 in the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Guardian, CNN, the BBC, Reuters, the Associated Press and the Australian ABC, a full 84 per cent did not bother to distinguish between civilian and combatant deaths, Fox found’.

    https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2024/12/16/those-who-put-trust-in-hamas-death-figures-are-fools/

And (also Today) in another story, CNN which has shares or is sharing its ‘news stories’ with the BBC stated it had discovered a Syrian refuge sleeping rough and given him sanctuary is now found to be Syrian Chief Torturer of the notorious Jail. He lied, CNN believed it and now admit they were wrong.

Is this not the exact way the BBC operates? The Left has no morals and would believe Hamas is great.
Man filmed by CNN ‘being rescued’ from Assad jail was ‘regime torturer
    https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2024/12/15/syria-jail-man-rescued-filmed-false-identity-cnn-fact-check/

And here is the Proof.. It really makes you sick that the the BBC involvement in such cover up stories. Who is in charge none other than (you have heard his name before in other BBC scandals in UK).
Mark Thompson: CNN appoints former BBC director general as chief executive
BBC obviously proud to report with glee… and the reason why CNN is on par if not worse than the BBC in news reporting.

Okay, call me an old conspiracy theorist if you like, but…

There are 365 days in every year…and yet next year the trials of three “men”, one calling for his supporters to “slit throats”…another for stabbing Lieutenant Colonel Mark Teeton almost to death and last, but not least, the piece of verminous filth that slaughtered the three little girls in Southport, are all occurring on the same day. Yes, incredible, eh? And… can you Adam and Eve it…it’s also the day that President Trump is inaugurated.

Do you think our ever-trusted media might be busy elsewhere?
Talk about a good day to bury bad news.

Blimey, if this doesn’t stretch your credulity to breaking point nothing will.

And today, Nigel’s assailant walks free from court, while numerous others, who just wrote something unpleasant on Twitter are doing three years in the pokey.

They are pissing all over us and we’re supposed to lap it up…

What if there were no children killed in Southport? What if a group of influential people organized the event to demonise the white working class and push a political agenda? What if the men who butchered Jean Charles de Menezes did it because they were acting under orders? Perhaps he saw something he wasn’t supposed to see. They put about ten bullets through his head.
We still await the arrest of the killer of Jill Dando. She was murdered in broad daylight on her doorstep just 18 months after Diana died in a car crash. How convenient for some, especially when Diana’s lover was a Muslim, and she may well have been pregnant. Of course, it was an accident.
Imagine the implications if none of what the BBC had told you was true. Surely not, you say indignantly. The BBC never lie.
The great advantage the people running this country have is that the people can’t remember what they had for breakfast, let alone what happened twenty years ago. In a few years, no one will remember Southport.

      • Jeff says:

No sorry, kingkp. Those really are conspiracy theories and give the rest of us a bad name…

Firstly, there were children killed in Southport…WTF are you talking about? The establishment in cahoots with our beloved media always demonise the white working class until they need us.

Secondly, Diana wasn’t pregnant and she would have survived the car crash, just as her bodyguard did, had she been wearing a seatbelt.

Why on earth would the police “take out Charles de Menzes, an innocent Brazilian migrant, other than for the reasons they gave? They faced years of questioning by the media and public. “Perhaps he saw something he wasn’t supposed to see…” Just nonsense. It was a tragic mistake.

There have been lots of rumours swirling around about the murder of Jill Dando; none of them make much sense to me. “How convenient for some…” Utter drivel. Jill Dando was a newsreader who fronted The Antiques Roadshow, hardly important enough to “take out”.

This sort of idiotic crap is now favoured by the likes of the clearly demented James Delingpole, a once brilliant journalist, who has clearly suffered some sort of breakdown.

I’m not sure if you’re barking up the wrong tree or just barking…

      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richmal_Oates-Whitehead
“Following apprehensions from her family members, the police entered her flat in West London on 17 August and found her dead body. Initially, it was believed that she might have committed suicide due to the possible media witch hunt and loss of her job. However, post-mortem reports suggested that she died of a pulmonary embolism. The Coroner’s office ruled out an inquest as the death was due to natural causes.”
That’s right. A perfectly healthy 35-year-old drops dead a few weeks after the bombings she witnessed at close hand, and there isn’t even an inquest. That’s not suspicious at all. ?

Mother who sold her own child to a paedophile, 38, is jailed alongside him after sickening London sex abuse case.

A mother who sold her 15-year-old daughter to a paedophile to be sexually abused has been jailed alongside the predator she her handed over to.

The woman, who cannot be named to preserve the child’s anonymity, regularly sold the girl to Ferdous Ahmad between November 2023 and March 2024.
Police started investigating in March when they received a tip-off that Ahmad was sexually communicating with the teenage girl.

Officers were then able to identify the mother, who was selling her daughter Ahmad for him to repeatedly sexually abuse her.

Ahmad, 38, of Queensbridge Road, Brixton, and the woman, from Tower Hamlets, were found guilty after a two-week trial at Snaresbrook Crown Court on September 30.

The woman was convicted of two counts of counts of causing a child to engage in sexual activity and inciting a child to engage in sexual activity.
They were sentenced at the same court yesterday. Ahmad was sentenced to 12 years in prison and issued with a Sexual harm Prevention Order and Restraining Order.

The woman was sentenced to five years in prison.

STARTS Ofcom has today found Sky News in breach of broadcasting rules after it aired an interview with Douglas Ross MSP on 10th June. The watchdog ruled that the interview was in breach of Rule 6.11, which stipulates:

“Where a candidate is taking part in a programme on any matter, after the election has been called, s/he must not be given an opportunity to make constituency points, or electoral area points about the constituency or electoral area in which s/he is standing, when no other candidates will be given a similar opportunity.”

Curiously, Ofcom has not publicised the ruling, with no sanctimonious tweets or press releases about the decision. Guido notes that whenever they find GB News in breach of conduct, they are always quick to tout it to the media. Two-tier Ofcom strikes again…ENDS

Also while the attacker had to pay Nigel Farage £150 she also had to pay a victim surcharge of £154. Who gets the money? I’ve seen victim surcharges applied to speeding offences where nobody else was involved!

So all in all, very unsatisfactory. Of course if you expound ‘right wing‘ views, the penalties are rather harsher…….

Lee accused MI5 of “attacking” her reputation and trampling on her human rights by saying she engaged in “political interference activities” for a branch of the CCP. Lee was also well plugged into Westminster…

An HTS security officer on the ground says they’ll treat minorities well. “It will take time for people to trust authority again […] We do not differentiate. But the extreme poverty that this regime left behind caused this vast chaos…”

Blaming it on poverty? Sounds like he’s been fed the BBC line, or quite possibly it was inserted into the copy afterwards. Ignoring centuries of religious and ethnic strife is also the BBC way (unless it’s to do with the church). How long they can keep up this charade is the question.

AQ used to be known for sawing heads off on videos or blowing up planes, trains and automobiles.

But they’ve changed now. They cry when they see a cute kitten video. They eat a soy based diet and recycle regularly. They also take care of the poor. They’re the good guys now. ‘The Rebels’. Like in Star Wars.

      Do keep up everyone.

The new cuddly version of AQ also seem to be against putting people in prisons. How progressive!

Obviously, every single prisoner in Syria was a political prisoner under Assad, who is worse than Bin Laden. There were definitely no murders and rapists in those prisons because , obviously, Syria has no murders or rapes, so it’s all good.

The BBC AQ fanboys, I mean ‘jounalists’, can walk around the streets at night without any fear, I’m sure.

And why would her being homeschooled be the main factor? Sadly, I think she’d have been murdered even if she went to the local school anyway.

    1 pm.
The murderers of Sara Sharif have been sentenced to life imprisonment. They escaped to Pakistan after the murder.
There is much publicity about the caution needed for home schooling.

    But let’s look again.
The husband came to the UK and got permission to live here on the back of an arranged marriage to a Polish woman while we were in the EU.
They lived in a 3 bed semi which I think may have been a council arranged house.
In the police interviews, the two men needed interpreters.
Yet despite all this, they flew back from Pakistan business class !!!!!

Maybe the BBC might like to investigate this. Maybe the danger is not home schooling but the unfettered mass immigration of tens of thousands of people who have no interest in our country and its culture other than as a soft-touch meal ticket.

What really bothers me about this story is what our own government has said:
‘“Clearly we are not going to mourn the death of an individual who has propagated an illegal invasion and imposed suffering and death on the Ukrainian people,” the prime minister’s official spokesman says.’
A statement worthy of Zelensky himself. Or even Kim Jong Un.

An estimated 270,000 payroll records belonging to nearly all members of Britain’s armed forces have been exposed to Chinese hackers in a breach at a third-party contractor that was discovered a few days ago.

The data at risk includes names and bank details for full-time military personnel, part-time reservists, including at least one MP, and veterans who left after January 2018. It was managed by a private contractor, SSCL.

Grant Shapps, the defence secretary, told MPs the hack was the “suspected work of a malign actor and we cannot rule out state involvement”. Official sources were less circumspect and privately pointed the finger at China.

“Stop Aleem Maqbool’s appointment as Head of religion for the BBC

Petition to: Nadine Dorries MP – Secretary of State for Digital – Culture – Media and Sport

The BBC has, after what they say was a competitive recruitment process, appointed a new Religion editor, Aleem Maqbool. Mr Maqbool, a Muslim and journalist of some note, previously acted as the BBC’s Pakistan Correspondent and Gaza/West Bank Correspondent (https://www.bbc.co.uk/mediacentre/2021/bbc-news-aleem-maqbool-religion-editor/). He is due to take up his new position this Spring.

Maqbool succeeds Martin Bashir and, before that, Aaqil Ahmed. Two of these men are overtly Muslim, and one is of Muslim heritage. In Ahmed’s promotion of multicultural programming, there were numerous complaints of anti-Christian bias and calls for his removal.

The BBC was established by Royal Charter in 1927, ‘to inform, educate and entertain’, with committed Christian, Lord Reith, appointed as Director-General. Inscribed over the foyer of Broadcasting House, in Latin, are the words:

“This temple of the arts and muses is dedicated to Almighty God by the first Governors in the year of our Lord 1931, John Reith being director-general…”

Our society and culture are founded on Christian values, and we are a Christian country. According to the Office for National Statistics, 59% of the population self-identify as Christian, with only 6.3% identifying as Muslim. (https://www.ons.gov.uk/peoplepopulationandcommunity/culturalidentity/religion/articles/exploringreligioninenglandandwales/february2020; https://www.statista.com/topics/4765/islam-in-the-united-kingdom-uk/#dossierKeyfigures).

On what grounds can and does the BBC justify appointing as Head of religion on the last three successive occasions – since 2009 – only British Asians, two of whom are Muslim, and one from a Muslim family?

This is not celebrating diversity and reflective of our multicultural society. It smacks rather of an agenda, overtly hostile to traditional British values and history and aimed at promoting the progressive Islamisation of our country.

We call for Aleem Maqbool’s appointment to be stopped, and for a fairer recruitment process reflective of our Christian heritage and faith.”

          “Christianity Marginalised.

A survey of more than 1,500 people conducted by the conservative Christian organisation Voice for Justice UK has reached the conclusion that people who hold biblically orthodox Christian opinions are being increasingly marginalised and treated with contempt within society. This growing hostility, at times amounting to ‘Christophobia’, or anti-Christian hatred, is evident in every sector of British national life.

          Amongst the young

Worryingly, the report indicates that social discrimination is most acute amongst the younger generation, those who have gone through the progressive-influenced school and university system. 56% of the respondents affirmed that they had personally experienced hostility and ridicule when they attempted to discuss their Christian beliefs, but this rose to 61% amongst young people. More than half of under-35s felt there were negative stereotypes of Christians at their place of work. 38% of Christians under 35 felt their freedom of speech was restricted, leading to self-censorship.
          Hierarchy of protection

Unsurprisingly the report indicates that the strongest opposition came when Christians revealed they did not go along with the beliefs of the LGBT-etc movement. According to the Equality Act 2010 there should be no hierarchy in the list of nine protected characteristics: Age, Disability, Gender reassignment, Marriage and civil partnership, Pregnancy and maternity, Race, Religion or belief, Sex, and Sexual orientation.

However, it is evident that amongst the characteristics protected by legislation there is a clear hierarchy with all things LGBT reigning supreme, closely followed by race. 78% of respondents said they believed religious discrimination was not treated as seriously as other forms of discrimination.

Many respondents noted that Muslims were being treated with ‘a greater sensitivity’ than Christians, with any criticism of Muslims perceived and treated as a form of racism.”
