Hamas have apparently announced to the BBC their ceasefire agreement with Israel.

I find it odd that a terrorist organisation such as HAMAS should decide to use a UK TV national broadcaster to deploy this information, after all it has almost nothing to do with the UK! Perhaps they have previously been on speed-dial or something?

Apparently the agreement has little to do with Trump as a positive…rather it was the likelihood that he would be completely unpredictable and might change US demands meant an agreement had to be signed and sealed now….says the BBC….

‘Both sides knew that the current terms on offer, and the fact that they’re guaranteed by the United States, you get much more uncertainty after that date.

There was no guarantee that with a new administration you would get the same guarantees made by the Biden administration into this process – there may be changed priorities.’

Gaza deal. BBC seem pleased. BBC hope that Trump will lean heavy on Israel.

If TTK is determined to give away British overseas territory why not give the Chagos Islands to the USA.
I’m sure the Islanders would prefer that than be given to Mauritius.

Just watch, they’ll find massive oil deposits all around the Chagos Islands once TTK has binned them.

‘UK’s Chagos deal on hold to allow Trump review’
      https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cwyp3750y3po

‘US President-elect Donald Trump will be consulted on the UK’s deal to hand over the Chagos Islands, where there is a joint US-UK military base, to Mauritius.’

‘A spokesman for Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer said it was “perfectly reasonable for the US administration to consider the detail” of any agreement.’

      Priti got it right:
‘Priti Patel said the latest development was “complete humiliation” for the prime minister because Labour had been “desperate to sign off the surrender of the Chagos Islands before President Trump returns to office”.’

Only thing I would change there Priti is that’s it’s a humiliation for our entire country on the global stage.

What a pair of complete and utter useless chumps Starmer and Lammy are. Just imagine the headlines at the BBC over the last few months if it were the Tories in charge.

    BBC Narrative shift incoming:

The same people who told us repeatedly that there was a genocide in Gaza will now tell us that the brave Gazans won the war.

I wonder if Biden knows that he has ended the Israel Gaza conflict.
I think somebody should tell him.

Am I being cynical or is this BBC report an attempt to spin hard for Reeves? Since when did you ever see such positive spin for a Tory Chancellor when inflation fell a grand total of 0.1%? It’s so good for you…it really matters…it’s unusually important…it’s real positive news….lol…

‘Why a small drop in inflation matters to you’

‘A marginal dip in the headline rate of inflation would not normally determine much, if anything…But this unusually important 0.1% drop signals relief, and some respite for Chancellor Rachel Reeves, because of what underpins it…This is the real positive news… right now headline and underlying inflation numbers in the UK all point in the right direction.’

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cvg969gk1r2o

You can look back at just about any BBC report on the economy under the Tories and the underlying narrative is negative…unlike the above very positive one for Reeves….when inflation dropped enormously under Sunak this was the BBC response….

‘Can government claim credit for fall in inflation?’
‘This morning the prime minister tweeted: “In January we said we’d halve inflation. Today we’ve done that – inflation is now 4.6%.”

When inflation started to accelerate early in 2022, Rishi Sunak as chancellor attributed the rise to global factors. Now as prime minister, he’s claiming it as a success for government policy that it’s come down.

However, leading economists are sceptical that the halving of inflation compared to last year has much to do with any government plan…. raising taxes isn’t listed as part of the government’s official inflation reduction plan.’

The BBC quick to deny a drop in inflation had anything to do with the Tory government….but they’d be just as quick to blast a Tory government if inflation went up.

In the wash-up after PMQs there was no comment on the tone of Badenoch and Starmer…probably because Badenoch came across as measured and statesman-like whilst Starmer was peevish and nasty….not to mention boring and repetitive.

Criticism of ‘tone and language’ is a favourite BBC device to try and skewer someone…used frequently against Boris whose use of terms like the satirical and perfectly descriptive ‘surrender Act’ were dangerously inflammatory and a threat to democracy….however Starmer demonising perfectly respectable people with legitimate complaints as ‘Far-Right’ is fine.

“AI Brad Pitt dupes French woman out of €830,000”

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/ckgnz8rw1xgo

“A French woman who was conned out of €830,000 (£700,000; $850,000) by scammers posing as actor Brad Pitt has faced a huge wave of mockery, leading French broadcaster TF1 to withdraw a programme about her.”

Usually stuff: woman refuses to accept she wss a moron, and it always involves giving money to a richer man who can’t access his money

“The requests for money ramped up when the fake Pitt told Anne he needed cash to pay for kidney cancer treatment, sending her multiple AI-generated photos of Brad Pitt in a hospital bed. ”

Shall we wait for the one where Elon Musk needs crowd funding to defend one of the Biden lawfare cases being fired at him this week…?
It’s like democrats in the bunker in ‘downfall ‘ .. they can hear republican artillery getting nearer …

…. I’ve been watching some of the confirmation hearings taking place in Washington – the democrat politician firing their full vindictive acid at the likes of the US AG – it’s brutal stuff and shows how frightened they are ….

I wondered what the UK would be like if we had the same – for say – Rachel from accounts …BTW – looks like the Marxists are going to screw the elderly again in the ‘surprise’ March emergency budget – they’ll cut the state pension …
