Analysis from the BBC on President Trump’s threat of 25% tariffs on Colombia – “could punish American consumers. These retaliatory measures will no doubt make it harder for Trump’s administration to work with Colombia…”

Yeah okay – back in the real world the Colombian President folded in 39 minutes and will even send his own presidential plane to transport illegals back to Colombia!!

Way to go President Trump – the next four years will see the Beeb in hysterics.

Sorry for the re-post, didn’t see the new thread was up when I just posted it.

Cooperman – apologies for the thread cut off – I hate doing it because I always fear comments could be lost . As the the actions of president trump – and the panicked response – that’s a dream . His voters will love it .

Yesterday JD Vance did his first big interview on CBS – meet the press which is a US institution . The interviewed – a hate full over the hill woman – just looked for a gotcha for about half an hour – she reminded me of that Emily whatshername is just about every way .
But JD Vance – knocked her out the park – as they say . I was comparing to trumps’ first VP – pence – who was a traitorous dolt .

We went to a Burns night dinner last week. And a good time was had by all.
On the BBC we had the usual support for him. And on Antiques Roadshow, from Glasgow , we were treated to a loving review of him. Fiona Bruce was suitably in awe.

Which is rather odd for the BBC and lefties everywhere. Because Burns of course had taken a job to be an accountant at a slave plantation in Jamaica. He was happy to go. He was expecting to go. But lucky for him, his newly released poems and writings were a great success, bringing in the cash. So he stayed.

Surely it is high time the Scots and the SNP ‘cancelled’ Burns for his open support of slavery, and for the BBC to expose his pro-slavery credentials. It won’t happen of course.

It was of course the English who banned slave shipments in 1807, before abolition in 1832. Better not talk about that, eh.

I asked Grok AI.. and it gave a strange answer to
    Is Axel Rudakubana Muslim ?
    the “no” seems too definitive

    Axel Rudakubana is not Muslim.
He comes from a Christian family, as confirmed by multiple sources.
His parents are devout Christians involved with a local church, and there is no indication that Axel Rudakubana himself is Muslim. The misinformation that he was Muslim led to significant unrest and riots in various parts of the UK, fueled by false claims spread on social media.

Doh the protests/riots predate the naming of him
There was someone falsely named with no evidence provided
but the protests were more against an establishment that was withholding info and deceiving

To me I can’t know his thoughts and there is no big proof like a Southport mosque saying he attended,
    However there were 3 indications

#1 Visitors to Tommy recount there’s Belmarsh insider info that AR prays together in a prayer room only used by Muslims
(The rumour could be false, or AR could be pretending to fit in with Muslims)
#2 His style of attack is also Islamist
#3 sources like Howard Cox said they heard very early on from an eyewitness
that he kept shouting Allahu Akbar

Chat GPT AI chooses to be NOT definitive

I couldn’t find any specific information regarding the religious beliefs of Axel Rudakubana. If you are referring to a public figure or someone specific, it’s often helpful to check official sources, interviews, or statements they may have made regarding their personal beliefs. Would you like to know more about Axel Rudakubana in another context?

Google Gemini AI also refused to be definitive
I am not able to find any information about Axel Rudakubana’s religious beliefs in the context you provided.

Always been the tragedy for Palestinians…they are the sacrificial lambs for the fanatics’ war on Israel. Gaza and the West Bank could have bloomed as Israel has if they hadn’t instead ‘invested’ in a 70 year war against Israel.

It’s an odd aspect of the Arab mindset.

By any standards they had it cushy in Gaza. The economy was held up by vast amounts of foreign aid, they had little to do but make babies, which they did at pace.

But that is not enough for them. They would rather make war on Israel, a war they could never win. Then when Gaza has been duly devastated, they can declare they have won!

The logic of it all escapes me.

“The many crises we faced under the tenure of Boris Johnson were only a symptom of toxic British politics which marginalises minorities and punishes the most vulnerable in society. Over the years the Muslim Council of Britain has shown how Muslims in particular, have been demonised and viewed through the prism of security, distrust, and ridicule. Before becoming Prime Minister, Boris Johnson mocked Muslim women, causing an upsurge in Islamophobic attacks, and yet, the Tories chose him as a leader without censure; underlining how Islamophobia is rife in the Conservative Party and in politics in general. ”

Have you noticed how many ‘interim’ council Finance Directors and CEOs there are?
        Know why?
        A few reasons.
First, interims get paid a ‘day rate’ or are on a ‘short term contract’. These vastly exceed the normal ‘salary’ for the job but are much less politically sensitive as easier to hide.
Next. Interims are never there long enough to be accountable for the result of their work and so can skip to the next interim appointment without a blemish on the CV.
Third. CEOs and Finance Directors are obliged to get on with the political leadership of the council. Since many elected councillors are totally inept, part of parties-within-parties factional groups or with their own agendas, FDs/ CEOs can be turfed out at short notice for no good reason on trumped up charges. The unfair dismissal and legal payments can be huge, so hiring interims takes out that issue.
        I could go on………….
The taxpayer of course ultimately foots the bill for all of the above.

… meanwhile – without ever going near the rape gangs – the BBC report:
Outgoing Muslim Council leader criticises lack of government contact
    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c360je2j6lpo

    We start with:
‘The violent unrest, triggered by false rumours that the Southport knife attacker was a Muslim asylum seeker, saw bricks hurled at mosques and Islamophobic chants on the streets.’

No he wasn’t a ‘Muslim asylum seeker’ BBC, he was the child of Rwandan immigrants with an Al Quada terrorist manual, a tupperware box full of deadly poison and tried to murder all those little girls in the most brutal manner possible with a knife.

But the BBC don’t tell us what he WAS, just what he wasn’t. And the difference is not that great. The ‘spirit’ of the protests was just and it’s clear now that people knew the truth of the brutality at the time. Not the cover up and lies.

So anyway, what things did this woman have to say (and the BBC are only too happy to report) to promote harmony and unity in this country of ours which has given them so much ?.

‘In particular, she described the “unbelievable tidal wave of Islamophobia” in the UK’

‘”There’s been an onslaught of far-right, thuggish, anti-Islam, quite disgusting, really awful graphic content that’s posted on my account.”

However, she said this had not changed mainstream narratives around British Muslims. “There has been such a normalisation of Islamophobic rhetoric without it being challenged or condemned.”

“My happiest achievements are that I’ve visited over 300 organizations across the country,” she said.
“Whether it was Swansea, Newport, Liverpool, Leeds, Manchester, I really made sure wherever I went I met the women’s groups, and I always reassured them that they had a voice at the table and a leader.”

This woman is chock full of hate. And the BBC are very happy to print it. If anyone points out the truth about they way Muslim’s treat everyone else, they are instantly condemned as being ‘Islamophobic’ and ‘unhelpful’.

The BBC actually want this division in our society and they push things like this in our faces to keep it going. Because without it, these activists have nobody to hate.

    Then at the end:
‘The Conservative Party did not respond to a request for comment.’
What ?. They are not the government BBC. Why are you contacting them ?.

I was in Orford for the weekend. This is where the BBC World service transmitted from, on 648kHz using a zer gutt AEG-Telefunken S4006. I used to be a massive fan of the BBC World service during the Gorbachev era. But how far it has fallen. The transmitter had a massive 500 kW output and continued until March 2011.

Now the transmitter is used by Radio Caroline still on 648 kHZ medium wave. Making fans of 1970s rock happy.

There is interesting history in the area including work on early Radar around 1935 by Robert Watson-Watt and Wilkins and others.

Jesus wept television is bad these days. I did catch a brief glimpse of some released sausages on BBC1 but they had to screen that around midnight – presumably to keep it well out of the public eye.

This is particularly true in the USA were the state doesn’t fund the media , at least not directly, but the legacy media just carries on attacking Trump , recycling the old disproven lies about him , spouting their tired old narrative. This despite the fact that their viewing figures are falling very rapidly. They seem to have a death wish.
I would be interested to know if , in those countries which do have state funded media and have recently rescued themselves via the ballot box , has the state funded media started singing from a new populist hymn sheet?
We all know that beloved BBC would never be influenced by government pressure even if as seems likely it will in future be fully funded by the government. But of course a future Reform government , a growing possibility , would cut its funding to zero .

Regarding our dreadful newspapers, I don’t think there’s much difference nowadays between the Daily Mail (which used to be one of my weekend reads) and The Guardian or Independent. They are all on message and have totally swallowed the green agenda hook, line and sinker.

I rarely, if ever, buy a paper and watching the BBC, ITN or Sky is only undertaken if I’m scrolling for the football results.

As everyone knows the Telegraph is a bastion, perhaps one of the few remaining , of some old fashioned Tory virtues , patriotism , monarchy etc. Even in the Telegraph those ideas may have been much weakened over the past thirty years but remnants still remain particularly amongst the readership.
So it is surprising that a puff piece about King Charles , which describes him as a great Uniter of the country , is receiving much criticism in the readers comments section. More comments are critical of the piece and of the king than are supportive, basically more than 50% of readers comments find him too Woke,Wet and Globalist.
If the Telegraph readers think this way then it does seem that the country is ripe for serious change and for a massive push back against Globalism and Wokery like we are seeing in the USA.

In 2022, the UK contributed over $123 million to the WHO’s Core Voluntary Contributions Account, a mechanism that allows the WHO almost total discretion over how the cash is spent. Starmer’s government went further, announcing in November last year: “The UK will invest up to £310 million in core voluntary contribution funds in support of the critical delivery of the WHO’s 14th general programme of work and its transformation agenda.” This is on top of other funding earmarked for the organisation. As Trump quits, the risk is that Labour ministers agree the shortfall should be made up by hard-pressed UK taxpayers…

At the end of January, WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus met Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing and commended the country’s efforts to control the outbreak. He also praised the Communist Party’s top leadership for its “openness to sharing information” about the virus and its spread, even though Chinese officials in Wuhan — where COVID-19 cases first emerged — were cracking down on people for “spreading rumors” about the disease.

Its being said that Trump wants to Deport Prince Harry.
However out of respect for his father the King he wants to discuss the matter when they meet. That will most likely be in the summer for Trumps first foreign trip. Traditionally the first trip of a newly elected president is to the UK.

Needless to say he bad mouthed Israel.

Then TWatO switched to the Holocaust and memories of Auschwitz. The Montacutie just had to mention that not only did Jews dies in the Holocaust but also Poles, Russians, Romas and Gays as well. Six million Jews, I think, outdo the other nationalities and gays as well.

If and when Trump comes to the UK, with full state honours, it’ll be interesting to see how Starmer deals with protests from his own core base, who are Trump haters.
He has a strong authoritarian streak (hey, he’s a commie) so the tendency will be to crack down hard. On the other hand, those are his supporters, so not too hard – and certainly not as hard as the Southport protestors.

‘Over the weekend, the CIA concluded the Covid pandemic was “more likely” to have leaked from a Wuhan lab than emerged naturally – something long labelled as a “conspiracy theory” by Chinese officials. And by left-wing media outlets…’

The BBC was desperate to assure us that covid came from the wet market and was not a lab leak….this was not reporting but messaging…anti-Trump and pro-China….Trump, on advice, said it probably came from a lab and the BBC et al just couldn’t bring themselves to print anything Trump said that was correct…and two, the BBC seems to love China…constantly telling us how green they are…how they will save the planet…despite the massive pollution….downplaying or dismissing the huge amount of coal being burnt to power their industrial revolution….if the BBC admitted that China was overwhelming the world with its pollution regardless of what we do to reduce emissions then that would raise an awkward question about the point of destroying our own industry and society to ‘save the planet’…nut zero would have to be literally put on the back burner….and we can’t have that because the green mantra is more politics than environmental…it is a brilliant vehicle to destroy capitalism and impose huge restrictions on people’s lives under cover of ‘saving the planet’…ala ‘Save the NHS’ and lockdown. The peasants have had it too good for too long and must be restrained and kept out of the elite’s playgrounds….no more oiks on the roads or on the planes polluting those tourist destinations…they’ll be kept nice and quiet for our betters.
