Oh blimey – 1st in something for a change.

Getting a threatening letter will be the icing on the cake with the sort of week I’ve had. A convoluted telephone conversation with an Indian in the NHS insisting my right eye needs treatment when it’s my left eye, plus not being on the list for other treatments. And other stuff I won’t bore you with, but a couple of slugs of single malt has helped no end.

    Bring it on !

Having spent a lot of time in India, my experience is that many Indians cannot tell the difference between left and right. It’s not stupidity, it’s maybe a cultural or historical thing. So my advice would be – in the interests of diversity and cultural understanding – would be to take the treatment in whatever eye the chap in the NHS suggests, or indeed in a totally unrelated part of the body, such as your cervix (remember: men can have cervixes and women can have penises). To question it or complain of any untoward consequences would be racist and hateful in the extreme.

Great advice Ian – at least that guarantees me some sort of treatment ! If not the correct treatment 😀

He is a robot straw man and can only do severe damage to the fabric of British society as I believe he has absolutely no feeling or touch for this country’s people, so immersed is he in his own self congratulatory pinstripe legal orientated bubble.

Hell is set to be unleashed: Israeli PM takes up Trump’s offer to decimate and defeat Hamas if they do not release ALL hostages on Saturday – and US president says terror group ‘won’t make the deadline’.

Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel would resume ‘intense fighting’ in Gaza if Hamas did not return hostages by Saturday noon.

It was initially reported that Netanyahu called for Hamas to release three hostages on Saturday and nine living others in the ‘coming days’, but Israel later specified that it expects ‘everyone’ to be released by Saturday.

‘If Hamas does not return our hostages by Saturday noon, the ceasefire will end, and the IDF (Israeli military) will resume intense fighting until Hamas is decisively defeated,’ Netanyahu said in a statement issued after a meeting with his security cabinet.

And the world will be shocked at the state of them.
Those who are actually still alive that is. This is why Hamas are trying to delay.

Those that aren’t will have died a slow agonising death over months and months suffering mental and physical torture trapped in small underground cells.

Let’s see how much empathy the BBC far-Left anti-semetic scumbags like Bowen and Keane have for them.

But on the bright side for the BBC, Hamas have their human-shields back and it’s a great chance for them to re-start their fake empathy stories and use the poor women and children as ‘victims’ against the whiteys of Israel again.

Credit where credit is due, the bBC has reported the disgusting whatsap of MPs and the resignation of 11 councillors following the two MPs. The Daily Telegraph has only reported the MP and minister.
What the bBC has not reported is what was the content of this whatsap and what evidence is there of the extent of this group – only recently have some of the members started to complain (probably to bury a political axe but that cannot be proved) – why did they take so long to report the potentially criminal messages. If it were Tory scum the bBC would have been all over this one and the noise level would have been going up.

Palestinian refugees given right to come to Britain under Ukraine settlement scheme – as Home Office warns the move could open ‘floodgates.

An immigration judge has now ruled that this rejection breached the family’s human rights.

The decision came despite warnings by Home Office lawyers that this case could open the floodgates ‘to the admission of all those in conflict zones with family in the UK’, according to the Telegraph.

Shadow home secretary Chris Philp said this case illustrated that changes to human rights laws were necessary so that decisions on who could live in the UK are up to Parliament and not individual judges.

Has anyone noticed any sign that ‘the end of woke’ is having any impact on the UK legacy media?
Since President Trump’s inauguration it is reported that there has been some impact in the USA were private companies have dropped DEI targets and some media programmes have shifted the Overton window to the right.
In the UK however I have not yet seen many signs that the media are shifting their ground. No newspaper article or TV programme about US policy can be written without at least one sentence mocking the Orange Man .
I look forward to a massive shift rightwards in the UK Overton Window but will it ever happen with Labour in charge of OFCOM , with their relentless attack on Free Speech , their championing of Islam against Christianity and their rampant anti Semitism.

    Rear guard action edition

It’s always worth remark when some title other than the Guardian heads the BBC news staff’s online line-up of the national dailies.

Now our BBC – in contrast with the newspapers – is not supposed to run campaigns on politically contentious issues.

But, to quote John Lennon in the song Revolution 1 [1968]:

You say you got a real solution
    Well, you know
We’d all love to see the plan
You ask me for a contribution
    Well, you know
We are doing what we can

    Second thoughts last requests

So it is this morning, a morning on which the left-leaning i news frets: MPs are turning against ‘chaotic’ assisted dying law… ‘Kill the bill’ campaign in Parliament – and the voice of the regime Times voices concern how: Judge tweak hits support for assisted dying bill… MPs reconsider votes over loss of safeguard – needs must the Daily Express runs a frontpage screamer in aid of their flagging campaign for suicide on the NHS…

MPs must back ‘crucial’ right to die law… Dame Esther supports ‘precautions’ (Daily Express)

    Desperate rear guard actions

And, although they can’t make it too obvious, the gynaeceum that is BBC news staff liked that Express frontpage for their top pick of the day’s papers. Take that Guardian with your: Zelenskyy: Europe cannot protect Ukraine without Trump’s support – alternative spellings of Zelensky are available – although foreign policies other than seemingly endless costly proxy war with Russia are not.

One can’t help noting the anxious rending of garments and gnashing of teeth over: Gaza ceasefire concerns grow… (BBC) – and yet not a single voice in the Jeremy Bowen/Lyse Doucet mode calling for a Ukraine ceasefire almost three years in.

    But we digress.

“The Repairer of Reputations” is a short story published by Robert W. Chambers in the collection The King in Yellow in 1895. The story is an example of Chambers’ horror fiction, and is one of the stories in the collection which contains the motif of the Yellow Sign and the King in Yellow. (Thank you Wiki)

    Robert Chamber’s Leathal Chambers

The story is set in New York City in the year 1920, 25 years after the story’s publication… Suicide has been legalized, and has been made generally and readily accessible in the newly established government “Lethal Chambers” being rapidly rolled out across every town and city. (Thanks again Wiki)

Of course in this late nineteenth century fiction the joke was on the reader: It is told from the view of Hildred Castaigne, a man whose personality changes drastically following a head injury sustained by falling from his horse.

Speaking of unreliable narrators – sometimes these segueways write themselves…

Not topping the BBC’s pick of the press this morning: the Sun goes with: Axed Wayne takes BBC to tribunal for Strictly ‘sex joke’ sacking

There was a time (it was a different time) BBC light entertainment actually hired performers for their sex jokes: Round the Horne is a BBC Radio comedy programme starring Kenneth Horne, first transmitted in four series of weekly episodes from 1965 until 1968… music by Edwin Braden, played by the band “the Hornblowers”… Horne was surrounded by larger-than-life characters including the camp pair Julian and Sandy, the disreputable eccentric J. Peasmold Gruntfuttock, and the singer of dubious folk songs, Rambling Syd Rumpo, who all became nationally familiar. The show encountered periodic scrutiny from the BBC management for its double entendres, but consistently received the backing of the director-general of the BBC, Sir Hugh Greene. Our BBC are apparently fighting rear guard actions on several fronts today so as to protect woke liberalism as manifested in the present Labour government. Starmer needs to look tough on immigration… the reflex reaction of m’learned friend is of course not action but more legalism…

UK to deny citizenship to small boat refugees (BBC)

Despite: Court gives Gazans right to settle in UK… Home Office warns floodgates will open after judge rules on use of Ukraine scheme (Telegraph); Labour’s new borders watchdog will WFH… in Finland! (Daily Mail)

Hermer stood by disgraced solictor after war crimes lies (Times) – the press campaign attack against the attorney general Richard Hermer KC continues: defence of the disgraced solicitor Phil Shiner… also green it an infamous press conference… aired claims, later found to be false – cui bono? is the question behind this sustained campaign against Hermer. Expect the present AG to be forced to resign soon.

Perhaps they think these days they can’t sack lawyers or cops? Met may have to rehire abuse case officers… Sgt Lino di Maria… after an unprecedented judgement at the High Court… against the force over its “unlawful” decision to strip him of his warrant card after he was accused of sexual assault (Telegraph)

Allison Pearson is telling it like it is in the Telegraph: Lefty lawyers have killed patriotism

The mildy (should that be mildewy?) Telegraph suggests: Prince William is Britain’s diplomatic Trump card – riffing on the Donald Trump pun there.

Mr AsI thinks the Royals have had their day as great diplomats in Britain’s interests: Sinn Fein’s first minister snubs King’s invitation… night at Windsor Castle (Telegraph)

To borrow from that old adage about keeping your potential pissing opponents with you within the canvas…

One supposes it was judged better to have Sinn Fein with the Royals inside their accommodation… rather than out side blowing it up.

The government’s choice to run the next borders watchdog has told MPs that he lives in Finland and is an advocate of working from home.

John Tuckett, 73, who was named last month as the government’s “preferred candidate” for the role of independent chief inspector of borders and immigration, told a confirmation hearing in front of MPs that he is “resident in Finland” and an advocate of working from home.

If his nomination to the job — which comes with a salary of up to £130,000 a year — is confirmed, Tuckett would be responsible for assessing the government’s performance in all areas of immigration, including tackling the small boats crisis.

He said that he pictured a “60/40 split” between being available for “visible”

Another whopping lie from the BBC anti-semetic terrorist supporters.

    https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c17ejwnywyno

‘Two Australian nurses have been suspended after a video appeared to show them threatening to kill Israeli patients and boasting about refusing to treat them.’

I wonder if anyone in the bizarre BBC extreme-Left bubble realises that their constant narrative that Palestinian Muslims are innocent victims of the genocidal white Jews is what is fuelling all of this hate.

Exactly the same as their narrative that the Right are all far-Right Nazis who should be despised is fuelling the violence and assasination attempts of right-wing politicians.

Are the oblivious to what they are – or do they know full well and do it on purpose ?.

I suspect it’s a mix of both : the ones at the top – like Bowen, Fergal Keane and the commissars of the third floor – are the real nasty extreme-Left b@st@rds and the rest are the stupid clones whose opinions in life are all what group-think tells them they should be.

I think we have now all seen the footage of Princess Catherine approaching a Muslim elder to shake his hand and being rebuffed. Actually, the whole scene makes my flesh crawl.

The media tell us that Kate “wasn’t offended” and that this is nothing more than a “cultural tradition” and also it’s only the “far right” that are using this to stir discontent. Yes, the old bogeyman, the far right…

You see, we too have cultural traditions…like shaking hands. Not discriminating against women. Not mutilating little girls. Strange, western customs like those.

I guess that by today’s distorted standards I would be considered far right…but I really don’t think so…I’m just a traditionalist, who loves his country. Unusual I know.
And I’m just sick of all the kow-towing our culture is supposed to make to this one. I mean, Kate even wore a bloody headscarf.

It’s pathetic, it’s belittling and it does nothing but encourage further arrogance and entitlement.

Christ alone knows what they’ll be like when Starmer gets his bloody Islamophobia bill through.

    They’re insufferable now…

Rachel Reeves in 2021 – rises to employers’ national insurance will “make each new recruit more expensive and increase the costs to business”. “The decision to saddle employers and workers with the jobs tax takes money out of people’s pockets when our economic recovery is not yet established or secure and only adds to the pressure on businesses after a testing year and a half. When all other costs are going up—the costs of energy and of supplies—these tax rises are only hitting them harder.” Does Rachel Reeves have amnesia? #nonsensical #uselessgovernment #ukpolitics #whatajoke #shambles #Liebour #hypocrisy #Business #Tax #Economy #NeverLabour #LabourLies #noidea #tonedeaf #noconfidence #politicstiktok #laughingstock
