Weekend 15th February 2025

The new Vice President of the US has told Europe – in a speech – that freedom in Europe is being threatened . He singled out laws in England and Scotland repressing thought and belief – and even mentioned something called ‘Brexit ‘. How will the BBC – chief state censor – respond to this ‘observation ‘. ? How will it react to the observation that we have an enemy within – a far bigger threat than Russia or china ? Please go watch the speech – it’s 19 minutes

“German Neo-Nazi protests LIVE: Dresden in lockdown as rival protestors square off.

Far-right demonstrators are set to square off against counter-protesters in Dresden today, as the city marks the 80th anniversary of the Allied bombing during World War II.

The day’s events are expected to draw significant attention, with around 2,000 to 3,000 neo-nazi protestors anticipated to gather, including members from various nationalist factions. Counter-protesters are also likely to number in the thousands.

These groups have come together to exploit the anniversary, pushing revisionist narratives about Germany’s wartime history. The far-right demonstrators are calling on the bombing of Dresden to be classified as a war crime.

The demonstration comes at a time of heightened international concern over the rise of the far-right in Europe. Recently, US Vice President JD Vance sparked controversy by suggesting that Germany’s Alternative für Deutschland (AfD) should not be politically isolated, saying there’s “no room for firewalls” in democratic discourse.

His remarks, made during the Munich Security Conference, have been widely criticised for legitimising extremist groups and potentially emboldening far-right movements across Europe.”

“An extremely disturbing video circulated two months ago, featuring a Biden EPA political appointee talking about how they were ‘tossing gold bars off the Titanic,’ rushing to get billions of your tax dollars out the door before Inauguration Day,” EPA administrator Lee Zeldin said in a video posted to X on Wednesday, citing another video from December.

The EPA found that just eight agencies were controlling the distribution of tens of billions of taxpayer dollars to different entities “at their discretion,” such as the Climate United Fund, which reportedly received just under $7 billion.

“The ‘gold bars’ were tax dollars, and ‘tossing them off the Titanic’ meant the Biden administration knew they were wasting it,” Zeldin said, vowing to recover the “gold bars” that were found “parked at an outside financial institution.”

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), the government’s leading disaster-relief arm, gave over $59 million to house illegal immigrants in luxury New York City hotels just last week, DOGE uncovered.
The spending was exposed by Musk on Monday, who wrote in a post on X that “sending this money violated the law and is in gross insubordination to the President’s executive order,” which put FEMA under review to improve the agency’s “efficacy, priorities and competence.”

Of the $59.3 million, $19 million was for direct hotel costs, while the balance funded other services such as food and security, a New York City Hall spokesperson confirmed to Fox.

One day after the spending was uncovered by DOGE, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) confirmed that “Secretary [Krisit] Noem has clawed back the full payment that FEMA deep state activists unilaterally gave to NYC migrant hotels,” a DHS spokesperson told Fox News Digital.

Pentagon wasted thousands on coffee cups and soap dispensers

The Pentagon’s $850 billion budget could be next up on the bureaucratic chopping block. Fox News Digital reported this week accusations of waste and inefficiency within the U.S.’s largest discretionary budget.

A congressional inquiry in 2018 found the Air Force was spending $1,300 for each reheatable coffee cup aboard one of its aircraft. The Air Force spent $32,000 replacing 25 cups, according to Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa.

A two-year audit by the Defense Department Inspector General last year found that Boeing overcharged the Air Force by 8,000% for soap dispensers. They overpaid by $149,072.

Questionable spending in USAID’s $40 billion budget, including ‘Sesame Street’ in Iraq

Sen. Joni Ernst, R-Iowa, the Senate DOGE Caucus Chairwoman, who says she speaks to Musk about spending cuts every few days, recently published a list of projects and programs she says the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) has helped fund across the years.

Ernst described “wasteful and dangerous” spending that had gripped taxpayers until DOGE stepped in.

Ernst highlighted that the agency “authorized a whopping $20 million to create a ‘Sesame Street’ in Iraq.”

Under the Biden administration, USAID awarded $20 million to a nonprofit called Sesame Workshop to produce a show called “Ahlan Simsim Iraq” in an effort to “promote inclusion, mutual respect and understanding across ethnic, religious and sectarian groups.”

At the top of the list was a $1.5 million program slated to “advance diversity, equity and inclusion in Serbia’s workplaces and business communities” and a $70,000 program for a “DEI musical” in Ireland.

Initiatives that supported LGBTQI programs were also flagged as an inappropriate use of taxpayer funds, including $47,000 for a “transgender opera” in Colombia, $32,000 for a “transgender comic book” in Peru and $2 million for sex changes and “LGBT activism” in Guatemala.

‘We’re sick of Downing Street’: Labour ministers lift the lid on the brutal civil war raging in No10 as one whispers ‘we’re about to commit electoral suicide’

The minister had seen enough. ‘To be honest, we’re all sick of Downing Street,’ he told me. ‘No 10 is constantly trying to blame everyone else for the Government’s failings. It’s time they started looking closer to home.’

Over the past couple of months, tensions have been simmering between Sir Keir Starmer and a Cabinet that has become increasingly disillusioned by what they see as rudderless and chaotic leadership. And now those tensions are set to boil over.

One tipping point has been a recent series of negative briefings against senior Cabinet figures from No 10 aides. According to government sources, the attacks were co-ordinated and sanctioned at senior level.

But they were also cackhanded. ‘The problem No 10 has is that they’re rubbish at it,’ one minister told me. ‘I know exactly who’s been briefing against me and to whom. Their fingerprints are all over it.’

The bad blood between Cabinet members and Downing Street has become so bad that some ministers are beginning to actively withhold information from Starmer’s aides.
‘We’ve decided we’re just going to have to cut them out,’ one revealed. ‘We can’t trust them. If we bring them in too early, they try to sabotage what we’re doing.’

Another festering issue is the chaotic way the Downing Street operation is perceived to be being run.
‘It’s really, really hard to get a decision out of there,’ another minister complained. A colleague added: ‘I had someone from No 10 shouting at us that we hadn’t let them know about a policy announcement. And I had to say to them, “OK. But you do know we signed this off two weeks ago?” ’

A further point of contention is mounting concern over the management – or mismanagement – of the Government’s core economic messaging, and in particular the ‘pivot’ away from talking about new investment and protecting public services to what’s seen as a messianic obsession with talking up growth.
‘They understand they talked down the economy too much,’ a minister said. ‘But now they’re trying to just talk the economy back to growth. Well, that’s fine. But it wasn’t what we were told the strategy was.’

I understand that within No 10 there is also ‘terror’ at the political impact of the upcoming publication of the Office of Budget Responsibility’s (OBR) latest growth forecasts. To the extent that ministers have been ordered to provide Downing Street with stories and policy ideas to mask the independent body’s bad news.
‘We’ve been told to come up with things to pack the grid for March,’ one government official told me. ‘They want to try to bury the OBR figures. They’re that terrible.’

However, the straw that has broken the camel’s back is the ongoing series of negotiations over the Government Spending Review. Rachel Reeves’s fiscal headroom is now so narrow, her next hairstyle is in danger of being a flat-top. As a result, ministers are being asked to approve a round of spending cuts so brutal some have decided they are simply going to refuse.

‘I just haven’t got the scope in my budget,’ one told me. ‘What the Treasury and No 10 are asking for is impossible. The deficit I inherited from the Tories was already massive. I can’t implement the cuts they want without everything just collapsing.’

Another minister pointed the finger at Darren Jones, Chief Secretary to the Treasury, who’s tasked with identifying where the axe will fall. ‘He’s a disaster,’ they told me. ‘He doesn’t really understand what he’s doing. He finds it hard to even grasp basic figures.’

A senior government official was even more scathing. ‘He’s a very strange man. There’s no empathy there. You try to talk him through the implications of what he’s proposing and he goes blank.’

The BBC warns people that this speech has not been approved by, or authorised by Justice Nicklin, Senior Police Officers, MI6, the 77th Brigade, OFCOM, the TNI Global media cartel, Civil Servants, or Labour Government officials using Soviet-era words like ‘misinformation’ and ‘disinformation’ to criminalise speech in the United Kingdom.

Vance said “Too many of us on the other side of the Atlantic, it looks more and more like old entrenched interests hiding behind ugly Soviet-era words like ‘misinformation’ and ‘disinformation’ who simply don’t like the idea that somebody with an alternative viewpoint might express a different opinion, or God forbid, vote a different way or even worse win an election,”

“The Biden Administration seemed desperate to silence people for speaking their minds, so the Trump Administration will do precisely the opposite,” Vance said.

Vance questioned whether the current actions of some European countries, such as cancelling elections, align with democratic values. He cited the example of a former European commissioner who “sounded delighted” about the annulment of an election in Romania and warned that if things don’t go to plan the very same thing could happen in Germany. Vance finds this shocking, and said that people cannot be forced to think, feel or believe in certain ways.

Vance said “Most concerningly, is what is happening in the United Kingdom. The erosion of conscience rights had put the liberties of religious Britons, in particular, in the crosshairs,” “Adam Smith Connor, a physiotherapist and army veteran, was charged and found guilty of silently praying near an abortion clinic, which is now considered a crime” “The Scottish government has been distributing letters to citizens warning them that even private prayer within their own homes may be considered a crime” he said.

Let us all stop funding UK terrorism!

It would seem Khalid Masood (Westminster Attack 22.03.2017 5 Innocents Killed) was on benefits which comes out of National Insurance payments by the workers of the UK. Thus, it would seem prior to these findings the workers in the UK were unknowingly funding terrorism.

But now we know terrorists operate using welfare benefits it would seem we are knowingly paying terrorists.

Can I suggest that the Government please make sure NI payments by UK workers don’t go into the hands of terrorists by removing the terrorists in the first place. Can you also calculate how much we have/are funded terrorism via welfare benefits by simply getting all known terrorists (left, right, islamic) arrested to-date and those on the watch list and check welfare payments made to them or their immediate family (under various names possibly).

Another example is where imams preaching intolerance such as Anjem Choudary (preached hate 1999-2016) to his hundreds of worshippers (5 times a day, everyday), can all imams be checked if they are on welfare benefits, paid by UK workers, and these payments be stopped immediately. It is the community that needs to fund the imams if they want religious teachings, similar to how the Church of England was funded with donations in the past.

        . . . .

The father-of-four (Anjem Choudary preaching hate 1999-2016) takes home more than £25,000 a year in benefits and lives in a £320,000 house in Leytonstone

        . . .

“…and don’t you worry. It’s coming to a place near you…we cannot have state subsidized preachers…give it up or give it to your deadliest enemy and pay for the rope that will choke you.“

A great deal of piffle talked about Trump, Nato and European defence….funny how they forget Germany has cut its funding to Ukraine in half this year…cut not raised.

Trump wants to put more focus on the Pacific to combat China’s ever growing threat and urges Europe to spend more in order to bolster its own defences and not rely totally on the US.

Greeted with absolute horror by the BBC et al…and Vance’s speech put the cherry on top of course. We hear that this is the abandonment of Europe and an overturning of the world order…the world now run by imperial powers and ‘strongmen’.

It is of course nonsense. China, Russia and America have long been the three most powerful and influential nations since the end of the war….maybe the BBC has forgotten Korea and Malaya and all those other places China interfered in even before it became super-rich and even more powerful….and we all know what the Soviets did.

The BBC has certainly forgotten that the sainted Obama did exactly the same as Trump…his ‘pivot’ away from Europe towards the Pacific and his demands that Europe cough up more money for its own defence…no ‘free-riders’….Europe has, as with Ukraine, urged the US to take action but has been reluctant to put its own money where its mouth is.

‘“Free riders aggravate me,” he told me. Recently, Obama warned that Great Britain would no longer be able to claim a “special relationship” with the United States if it did not commit to spending at least 2 percent of its GDP on defense. “You have to pay your fair share,” Obama told David Cameron, who subsequently met the 2 percent threshold.’

    From 2012…

‘ The U.S. decision to refocus its military and political effort in the Asia Pacific region raises fundamental questions about the British government’s future relationship with its top ally , according to a new parliamentary national security strategy committee.

“It raises fundamental questions if our pre-eminent defense and security relationship is with an ally who has interests which are increasingly divergent from our own,”

“If the U.S. is moving towards viewing Europe as a producer rather than a consumer of security, and reducing its capability to mount long term stabilization missions, it raises more questions as to what we can expect from the U.S. and what the U.S. expects from the U.K.,” said the report.

Such a move, said the committee, suggests that the U.S. may be increasingly unwilling to meet the costs of conflicts primarily affecting Europe.’

    and

‘ Obama has been fairly consistent…. he continued to pursue a foreign policy in which Europe was a major, but no longer the main, focus of American foreign policy. And he is right to say that over the past few decades, Europe often pushed the U.S. to act but showed “an unwillingness to put any skin in the game.” There are few credible rebuttals to his criticism that Europe has been “a free rider” for years.

Europe is still important to America — but Europeans need to accept that they no longer has pride of place in the White House, no matter who occupies the Oval Office.

Europe needs to create a tight defense union that gives credibility to a more united foreign policy. It is high time for us to realize we cannot outsource our foreign policy and military clout to other nations. Obama has made that very clear.’

We have crazy media people hyped up on their own stupidity and hatred of Trump that tells us his talks with Putin are a Munich-like appeasement, Ukraine is being sold out and fascism is on the march again…it leads to madness like this when Tesla owners decide Musk is a Far-Right nazi and so refuse to buy his cars again….

‘“It’s a brand that, from my point of view, has become toxic. It would be like buying a VW Beetle in 1939 Germany.”’

The complete derangement about all things Trump, Vance and Musk is blatantly obvious and corrupts the so-called news as the hatred and bile seeps out in every report where anything coming from the Right is treated as if it were toxic and dangerous, ‘completely unacceptable’ as some might say.

It looks like Israel have backed off Trump’s 12:00 deadline.
He has said he supports whatever decision Israel makes regarding his ultimatum.

I respect that it’s their country & their decision but I hope they don’t come to regret not pressing their advantage while they had back up.

‘Army of Europe’ needed to challenge Russia, says Zelensky
    https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cvgl27x74wpo

And finally we get to it.

Anyone believe Zelensky came up with that himself ?.

Once again the BBC treat the Liar-In-Chief’s statements with full credibility. Not a ‘without providing evidence’ in sight.

‘Zelensky has previously warned Russia was preparing for a war with Europe.’
I’m quite sure they are. The key fact missing from this statement is that they think it is Europe who will start it.

Isn’t that ‘Nato’? If any Nato ally is attacked the rest of Nato mobilise and come to their rescue. But of course Zelensky is trying to get around the fact that Ukraine isn’t in Nato but could maybe, sometime, be in the EU…and thus could be part of a European army…which would rush to his defence…not.

We hear British generals damning Trump for appeasement but then admit no-one will be willing or able to put 100,000 troops on the border of Ukraine [which have to be rotated every 6 months or so…thus actually many thousands more troops needed on standby….as it will be longstanding commitment, endless years, you can’t rotate the same troops every 6 months…thus need even more troops for the next batch to go out there…so maybe 300 or even 400 thousand]. What about commitments elsewhere…defending our own countries or against China? There’ll be no troops or equipment to cover it all.

The only way is to get a peace and then arm Ukraine to the teeth…with maybe, just maybe, a promise that our troops will intervene in the event of invasion…but they won’t be a standing ‘peace-keeping’ army on the border. Ukraine doesn’t have to be in Nato [and thus a provocation and excuse to and for Putin] to get that commitment of help…it’s an ‘understanding’.

Everyone knows Ukraine is losing…they make it expensive for Russia but they’re losing all the same. Putin knows how costly his war is and so will be willing to temporarily call a stop to allow him to rebuild his forces and formulate new plans. The West must put their money and blood where their mouths are and be prepared to put boots on the ground or arm Ukraine but sit back and watch the inevitable destruction and annexation of the country.

Call Putin’s bluff and commit to defend Ukraine or work for the best peace deal they can get…which inevitably will mean losing land.

Trump said long ago that he would broker a deal to stop the war then arm Ukraine to the teeth on the condition they only use it for defence.

The BBC missed that part because they kept telling us he didn’t say how he would do it. Which was a big fat lie simply to discredit him.

We would be mad to call Putin’s bluff over this : he – and the Russian people – consider this war (by which I mean to stop NATO moving into Ukraine) to be vital for Russia’s Nationa security. It is a red-line he would be prepared to use nuclear weapons for.

I for one don’t think the Eastern half of Ukraine is worth it.

Sir Keir Starmer’s Chagos Islands giveaway was plunged into fresh controversy on Saturday night after the former Mauritian prime minister who masterminded the deal was interrogated in a money-laundering scandal.
Pravind Jugnauth and members of his family were hauled into the offices of the Mauritian Financial Crimes Commission for questioning on Saturday following a three-hour search of his home.
Police had earlier raided the premises of a close associate of Jugnauth, where they said they found suitcases stuffed with tens of thousands in cash in more than a dozen currencies, Rolex and Cartier watches and UK visas, according to reports. The associate denied the items were his.

“Rochdale grooming trial hears girl, 10, labelled ‘prostitute’ by social services.

The eight defendants were all either taxi drivers in Rochdale or connected to the market. They all deny multiple charges including rape, indecent assault and indecency with a child.

A girl allegedly used as a “sex slave” by a grooming gang was labelled a “prostitute” from age 10 by social services, a court has heard.

The victim, now in her 30s, said she had read the “vile” description in a Rochdale social services file.

She told the court it described her as “loitering and prostituting from the age of 10”.

Known only as girl B, she said she had been repeatedly sexually abused from age 13 and “everybody knew what was going on”.

She was giving evidence in the case of eight Asian men accused of rape and other sexual offences between 2001 and 2006.

“They were the ones supposed to care for me and look after me and a lot of bad things happened,” she said.”

Normally, I only poke around in the Beeboid website to confirm that they’re still broadcasting disinformation and obfuscation, but this morning, instead of getting a reasonable resume from Sky, (the Express and Mail sites are just bogged down with ads and rubbish, that they never load completely), but for some reason, I went there first to see what bad news thay can scrape together to denigrate the real President Trump.

It took about seven seconds to see this stuff – https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c4g3nrx1dq5o.

There’s a lot of huge figures of redundant jobs, well up in the thousands, but funnily enough, there’s no number of the screaming headlines which applies to these NNSA employees…

It’s certainly not tens of 1000s, not even 1000s, and the resident sinecurable cubiclist doesn’t say how many!

“Altogether, the move could potentially affect hundreds of thousands of people.” Oh yeah…

A quick Google shows the usual suspect leftie rags are also screaming and yelling about this but I ended up on Reuters, who surprisingly mention the number – in fact the ceiling of the number, which is 325, and many of those aren’t even affected!

    https://www.reuters.com/world/us/sweeping-us-energy-department-layoffs-hit-nuclear-security-loans-office-sources-2025-02-14/

So it’s really a small squall in a minute espresso thimble, but seeing what the cubiclist blurts, you’d think that it was the whole bloody industry falling apart!

‘Verify’ clearly have bought too many Chinese calculators recently, maybe Rachel in stapler supplies can find out, she’s good at fudging figures…

      Ublock Origin

      uBlock Origin review
      Block ads from their origin.

Excessive ads are a common issue on the internet. Ask any internet user one of the main problems they encounter, and you’ll likely hear about too many ads when interacting with content.

Websites increasingly rely on ads to fund themselves, and this trend has driven publishers to focus on monetization over content creation. You might encounter a website with half ads and half content, making browsing miserable. Some might have poorly placed ads that make navigating the site miserable. Regardless, there’s a solution to this issue: an ad blocker.

uBlock Origin is one of the most popular ad blockers for web browsers. It’s also free and open-source, enabling you to avoid annoying ads without paying a dime.

Being free has played a vital part in uBlock Origin’s growth to over 37 million downloads on Chrome and 7 million+ on Firefox.

uBlock Origin is an ad-blocking tool we’ll recommend to anyone. It works with most popular browsers and allows you to wipe ads away from your browsing experience without paying a dime. It’s also very easy to use and configure, giving it an edge over most other ad-blockers.

        Why thank you, Zeps!

Certainly going to give it a go!

The issue isn’t heped by very poor Openreach bandwidth around here, and while some friends who run their business from home have paid hundreds to get a fibre network, I really don’t need to worry too much, except where an occasional story pops up, and then I have to wait until the PC has cleared its throat!

I recommend Firefox as a browser, hackers tend to concentrate on Google Chrome, it’s a numbers game.

And this blocker works brilliantly with Firefox at the moment, although companies are constantly working to bypass the blockers.

I would also add that since Google has become a major advertiser, they have been markedly less keen in providing effective ad blockers in their browser extensions.

CNN chief White House correspondent Kaitlan Collins apparently deleted a social media post after receiving backlash for appearing to promote a defense fund for Luigi Mangione, the alleged UnitedHealthcare CEO killer.

In the post on X, Collins showed a link to a new website launched by defense lawyers for Mangione, who faces charges of first-degree murder in furtherance of an act of terrorism, stalking and other state and federal charges in New York and Pennsylvania for allegedly gunning down UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson in Manhattan on Dec. 4, 2024. Thompson was a married father of two.
