“A 16-year-old boy has been taken to hospital after being stabbed in Birmingham.
West Midlands Police said it was called to Pretoria Road in the Bordesley Green area of the city at about 15:30 GMT on Saturday.
The force said it was investigating reports of disorder involving a number of people at a Birmingham hospital, which it believed to be linked to the stabbing.
It said the teenager had suffered serious injuries and remained in hospital where his condition was described as stable.
Officers appealed for anyone with information that could help the investigation to get in touch. ”

A Birmingham hospital was put on ‘lockdown’ after a stabbing on a city street.
A witness claimed that a group “ambushed” the A&E department at Heartlands Hospital, while an ambulance was also “raided with a patient inside.”
It followed a 16-year-old being knifed on Pretoria Road, in Bordesley Green, at around 3.30pm, yesterday, Saturday, February 15.
An eye-witness at the hospital claims she saw a group of about 30 to 40 people who “ambushed” the hospital’s A&E.
