As far as I am aware Fedup, I understand that Ukrainian militia heavies were carrying out anti-Russian aggression against Russian speaking people in border areas of Ukraine/Russia well before the Russians started to move on Ukrainian territory.

Thus in fact you could deduce that Ukrainian aggression did indeed spark the Russian retaliation and thus the conflict, in which cast DT is absolutely correct!

I recall a BBC business programme long ago, which had such as the FT and The Economist as input, and it was fairly interesting.

These threatening letters are wrong on so many counts that it’s hard to know where to start. But here goes!

      (1) You can’t prove a negative, i.e. that you don’t watch live TV or record from it. It’s up to them to prove a positive; which they might do using your IP address (if you watched online) or by direct vision, if you either let them in or are watching in e.g. a ground-floor front room of a terraced house, in which case they could see/hear what’s on your TV from the pavement outside (without access) and record it on a mobile phone.

      (2) They have no right of access to your property, unless they get a warrant, which itself would require reasonable grounds for suspicion. “Psychic doesn’t count” as someone once told the fictional Harry Callaghan in an Eastwood film, when arguing that he should have got a warrant.

      (3) Not paying the telly poll tax is NOT illegal, even if you own a TV; only watching live or recording from live is, provided you avoid BBC catchup. ITVX, C4 and Five catchup services are perfectly legal without the telly tax. Besides, you might use a TV set merely to watch old videos (showing my age a bit here!)

      (4) “Dear Legal Occupier” will not do, as they need to address you by name.

      (5) A visit from the goons wouldn’t per force prove or disprove anything. Suppose your employer let you use a company laptop for work trips and evening study at home. You might not have it with you at home on any given evening but might watch it on occasion, using remote access and not a personal IP address specific to your property.

      (6) That code is non-specific and bogus; I’ve had ones like it and it means nothing.

      (7) The threatened visits never seem to materialize in any case.

A woman who threw a McDonald’s milkshake over Reform UK leader Nigel Farage during the general election campaign has been given a suspended prison sentence.

Victoria Thomas Bowen hurled the drink at Farage as he left a JD Wetherspoon pub in Clacton-on-Sea on 4 June, having just launched his candidacy for the Essex constituency.

Thomas Bowen has been given a 13-week jail sentence, suspended for 12 months, must pay the MP £150 compensation, complete 120 hours of unpaid work and pay £450 in court costs.

Following her sentencing, Farage posted on social media, external: “We now live in a country where you can assault a Member of Parliament and not go to prison.”

In August, Josh Greally, of Clowne, Derbyshire, was given a suspended sentence for throwing a coffee cup and another item at Farage while he was campaigning in Barnsley.

During a campaign walkabout in Newcastle in 2019, the former UKIP leader and Euro MP had a banana and salted caramel milkshake thrown at him.

Regarding the latest in a very long line of initiatives to try to control “youths” stabbing, shooting or hacking their peers to death. To be honest, I’m not optimistic…

We’ve had mothers marching against knife crime. We’re had “amnesties” and “knife bins” outside the local cop-shops (blimey, we don’t even have police stations now) and there have been calls by idiot actors to make knives blunt. FFS, yes, that’ll work.

Even my old dad took his wartime Beretta hand gun to the local nick when they had yet another of these cretinous campaigns. He had had it in his demob suitcase since he left the Royal Navy and would on occasion bring it out on the kitchen table and oil it, but he listened to some waffling wally on the box and thought it would be best to hand it in. Sad, because I’d have liked that gun, just as a memento…

So, all I have to say is it’s not the knives, guns or cars that are the real problem. It’s imported violent, third-world trash.

Perhaps we can have bin for them…

    Talking of police:

“Two police officers face ‘gross incompetence meetings’ after standing outside home for 35 minutes while husband beat his wife to death with son’s skateboard.

‘Ruthless’ Olubunmi Abodunde strangled his wife before using his son’s skateboard to cave in her skull, repeatedly hitting her during a frenzied attack in November 2023.

Two officers – one on probation and a PC – remained outside the home while the jealous wife beater launched his cold-blooded onslaught against Taiwo Abodunde.

The pair of cops had been discussing with their supervisor, an acting police sergeant, whether they had the grounds to storm the property after hearing the ‘disturbance’.

The pair of Suffolk Constabulary officers finally entered the home after 35 minutes where they found Mrs Abodunde, 41, dead at the scene ‘with her skull smashed in’.

The day before the killing, Abodunde was arrested after officers arrived at the couple’s home in Newmarket, Suffolk, and found his wife with a split lip.

He was freed on police bail later the same day with a condition to stay away from the marital home and not to approach his wife, a court heard.

But he went back to the property the following morning after working a night shift at Tesco, claiming he wanted his mobile phone.

Two police officers arrived at 9.20am to take a statement about the previous day’s incident but didn’t enter the property until 9.55am – despite the commotion inside – after permission was granted. They immediately confirmed she was ‘obviously dead’.

A post-mortem examination found she had been throttled until she fell unconscious, then stamped on until her ribs were broken.

Her husband used the skateboard to finish off the care home worker with blows that were so violent it was damaged in the process, with officers telling the court they heard ’50 bangs’ while they waited outside.”

‘In Donald Trump’s recent Truth Social post that we reported on, he claimed President Zelensky “refuses to have elections”, calling the leader a “dictator”.

In November, all parties in Ukraine’s parliament backed postponing elections until the war end and Zelensky has vowed to hold a new election once the conflict ends.’

    For context:
    BBC missing out that
== Eleven Ukrainian political parties have been suspended because of their links with Russia,
Most of the parties affected were small, but one of them, the Opposition Platform for Life, has 44 seats in the 450-seat Ukrainian parliament.==
    https://www.theguardian.com/world/2022/mar/20/ukraine-suspends-11-political-parties-with-links-to-russia

So the unanimous “all parties” is after Zelensky suspended the opposition…

    From the SUN:
In a statement on Thursday, the BBC said: “Since the transmission of our documentary on Gaza, the BBC has become aware of the family connections of the film’s narrator, a child called Abdullah.

“We’ve promised our audiences the highest standards of transparency, so it is only right that as a result of this new information, we add some more detail to the film before its retransmission.
“We apologise for the omission of that detail from the original film.”

The BBC revealed that the additional text added to the film will state: “The narrator of this film is 13 year old Abdullah.

“His father has worked as a deputy agriculture minister for the Hamas-run government in Gaza. ”

Does anyone believe that the BBC were not aware who this boy was? Not one of the thousands of so-called programme makers thought to ask? Pull the other one. They knew but tried to hide it.

“Pandora Papers Reveal Offshore Holdings of Ukrainian President and his Inner Circle .

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky rode to power on pledges to clean up the Eastern European country, but the Pandora Papers reveal he and his close circle were the beneficiaries of a network of offshore companies, including some that owned expensive London property.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and his partners in comedy production owned a network of offshore companies related to their business based in the British Virgin Islands, Cyprus, and Belize.

Zelensky’s current chief aide, Serhiy Shefir, as well as the head of the country’s Security Service, were part of the offshore network.

Offshore companies were used by Shefir and another business partner to buy pricey London real estate.

Around the time of his 2019 election, Zelensky handed his shares in a key offshore company over to Shefir, but the two appear to have made an arrangement for Zelensky’s family to continue receiving money from the offshore.

    “Zelensky’s Cash Haul.

Of all the gifts that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky traveled across the world to thank American lawmakers for in-person five days before Christmas, one stood out. It wasn’t the Patriot missile system that he was receiving to counter Russian attacks on civilians or the humanitarian aid for refugees, though he was grateful for both. It was the cold, hard cash.

While much of the world’s attention has focused on military and humanitarian aid to Ukraine, a large part of the help the U.S. is giving goes straight to Zelensky’s government as cash support for its operations. “Financial assistance is also critically important,” Zelensky said in his speech to Congress Wednesday night. “Your money is not charity, it’s an investment in the global security and democracy that we handle in the most responsible way.”

Just how much cash is the U.S. “investing” in the Ukrainian government? A spokesperson for the United States Agency for International Development, which is responsible for disbursing the funds, puts the direct-to-budget number at $12 billion so far since the start of the war. Tim Rieser, the long-time foreign policy aide to the Senate Appropriations chief, Democrat Patrick Leahy of Vermont, says the next tranche in the spending bill that his boss just shepherded through Congress adds another $9.9 billion. That means of the $14 billion in new non-military aid the U.S. is providing Ukraine, most is cash to support Zelensky’s government, not humanitarian assistance.

Cash infusions directly into the financial coffers of needy countries are frowned upon by foreign aid experts, in large part because the money is most susceptible to misuse. That’s a particular concern for officials on both sides of the aisle in Washington, given the history of corruption in Ukraine. “There is concern about oversight,” of the direct-to-budget financial support says Rieser, because “Ukraine has a history of corruption.””

“The $ 500 million that the head of the Kiev regime offered to Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico for agreeing to accept Ukraine into NATO is not a significant amount for Vladimir Zelensky. This was stated by Ukrainian journalist Diana Panchenko.

“According to my information, Zelensky’s team is exporting corrupt money in cash through the Odessa port. Dollars travel in containers as diplomatic cargo to the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar. No one knows the exact amounts. But one container holds up to 2.5 billion dollars,” wrote X Panchenko on the social network, quoted by RIA Novosti.

Note that, according to Fico, it was about 500 million euros.

As reported by EADaily, the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, actually offered the Slovak Prime Minister 500 million euros from Russian assets if he voted for Ukraine’s membership in NATO. This was stated by Robert Fico after a closed meeting in Brussels, which was attended by the leaders of the EU countries.

At a private meeting in In Brussels, where even European leaders were not allowed with mobile phones, Zelensky asked Fico if he would vote for Ukraine’s membership in NATO if he received 500 million euros from Russian assets.”

    The Kyiv Independent

“2 Ukrainian regional officials alleged of corruption, nearly $6 million found.

According to the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) two Ukrainian officials from western Khmelnytskyi Oblast alleged of corruption were holding at home nearly $6 million in cash.

The homes and workplaces of the head of the Khmelnytskyi Regional Center for Medical and Social Expertise and her son, a senior official in the main department of Ukraine’s Pension Fund in the region, were searched in another case when the cash was exposed.

The case concerned the forging of official documents to illegaly register a disability for men attempting to evade military service. At first, the law enforcement found $100,000 and forged medical documents with the names of men with non-existent diagnoses, according to the SBI.

“Law enforcement officers found money in the apartment in almost every corner — in wardrobes, drawers, niches,” the statement read.”

Captain America: Brave New World: A Hero Looks Like You

    He doesn’t look like me.

Captain America is white. His success has been hijacked by the racist Left to try and rub his credit onto blacks.

It’s another example of cultural appropriation by the Left for their own anti-white racist agenda. Just like Dr Who at the BBC.

Just imagine the outrage of these same shameless hypocrites if a successful traditionally black character was cast with a white person. Heck – they even get their knickers all twisted if a straight person plays a gay person these days.

Would this police woman handcuff her granny? The police in this country no longer the “public” They are far removed from the public.
