“DEI has become a black hole for public money. Research by Conservative Way Forward reveals that £427 million is spent every year employing 10,000 people in DEI roles across the public sector, on an average salary of £42,000 per annum. DEI training is taking up one million working days every single year, at a cost of £150 million. The Environment Department, meanwhile, has contributed £3.6 million to foreign aid spending on a project called ‘Championing Inclusivity in Plastic Pollution’, to ensure that negotiations for an international agreement on plastic waste are suitably ‘inclusive’.”

“It’s not just that we waste money; it’s also unfortunately the case that the return on what we spend is shrinking fast. The Bank of England dropped a bombshell last week, revealing that they’d overestimated Britain’s already weak productivity. Since March, the number of workers has grown by 450,000, but there has been no economic growth, forcing the Bank to slash its productivity growth estimate by two-thirds.”

The investigation found no evidence that President Trump or any of his aides coordinated with the Russian government’s 2016 election interference.[3] Though there was insufficient evidence of a criminal conspiracy, members of the campaign were indicted, including national security advisor Michael Flynn and the chair of the Trump presidential campaign, Paul Manafort.[4] The investigation resulted in charges against 34 individuals and 3 companies, 8 guilty pleas, and a conviction at trial.[5][6] The report did not reach a conclusion about possible obstruction of justice by Trump, citing a Justice Department guideline that prohibits the federal indictment of a sitting president.[7][8][9] However, Attorney General William Barr pointed to ten episodes of potential obstruction.[10]

Not bias but I was reflecting on the US VP’s speeches recently and comparing them to Harris’. Many things you could say about their differences of course, but the lack of being deeply rooted in much at all comes across.

Starmer/Harris/Trudeau types can’t help but sound like aggregated disembodied management consultants who lack conviction in their own world view. When someone is confident in a vision based in love of country the contrast is profound and immediately noticeable.

Starmer/Harris/Trudeau love their own voice – that is the root of their conviction.

      …………..

A national celebration of collective guilt is a hard act to pull off. An historical anniversary on which it’s unsafe to mention any history doesn’t leave a lot else… Half-a-century ago, the Liberal Party of Justin’s dad offered us a rather wearisome nationalist boosterism. Now it’s boosterism without the nationalism, which is even more wearisome. I would dearly have loved someone to walk out on stage and say, “This is all total bollocks, isn’t it?” But the nearest we got was Charles and Camilla involuntarily giggling through the Inuit throat-singing in Nunavut. And that probably wasn’t a smart move, which the activists are sure to demand their pound of blubber over…

And yet, if you can pull off a Canada Day without Canadians, why not do it again? For Justin Trudeau, the man who hailed Canada as “the first post-national state”, what could be more natural than the first post-national national holiday?

Trump vows to cut off federal funding to Maine over refusal to comply with ‘No Men in Women’s Sports’ order

President Donald Trump announced Thursday that he will cut off federal funding to the state of Maine if it continues to defy his executive order preventing trans athletes from competing in girls’ and women’s sports.

“I heard men are still playing in Maine,” Trump said to a gathering of Republican governors in Washington on Thursday.

“I hate to tell you this, but we’re not going to give them any federal money, they are still saying ‘we want men to play in women’s sports’ and I can not believe that they’re doing that… So we’re not going to give them any federal funding, none whatsoever, until they clean that up.”

Another brilliant speech in a short video here, calling out the press in front of him:

Stephen Miller calls out WH press for ignoring Biden’s decline, gives ‘civics lesson’ on presidential power.

The White House deputy chief of staff for policy called ‘unelected bureaucracy’ the ‘existential threat to democracy’

The White House deputy chief of staff for policy responded to a question comparing media concerns about Elon Musk serving as an “unelected bureaucrat” while ignoring former President Joe Biden’s declining mental state.

“You’re tempting me to say very harsh things about some of our media friends,” he began. “It is true that many of the people in this room for four years failed to cover the fact that Joe Biden was mentally incompetent and was not running the country.”

“It is also true that many people in this room who have used this talking point that Elon is not elected fail to understand how government works. So I’m glad for the opportunity for a brief civics lesson,” he continued.

.”A president is elected by the whole American people. He’s the only official in the entire government that is elected by the entire nation, right? Judges are appointed. Members of Congress are elected at the district or state level. The Constitution, Article II has a clause known as the Vesting Clause. And it says the executive power shall be vested in a president, singular. The whole will of democracy is imbued into the elected president. That president then appoints staff to then impose that democratic will onto the government.”

Miller went on to describe what he felt was the true threat.

“The threat to democracy, indeed the existential threat to democracy, is the unelected bureaucracy of lifetime-tenured civil servants who believe they answer to no one, who believes [sic] they can do whatever they want without consequence, who believes they can set their own agenda no matter what Americans vote for,” he said.

Miller went on to call out FBI, Environmental Protection Agency and Justice Department bureaucrats who “don’t want to change” despite Americans voting in favor of radical reform.

“What President Trump is doing is he is removing federal bureaucrats who are defying democracy by failing to implement his lawful orders, which are the will of the whole American people,” he concluded.

Judge Davies said the first tweet was ‘in my judgment this is the worst of the three posts’.

His ruling continued: ‘The combination of the re-posting of the video, the barely-concealed sneer of cowardice against unarmed civilians seeking to flee the attack, and the smiling face emoji clearly expressing Dr Elwan’s satisfaction at what had happened, convey the clear message that the attack by Hamas on unarmed Israeli citizens within Israel was a matter for celebration and, thus, amounted to expressions of support and justification for, and indeed glorification of, Hamas terrorist violence.’”

The terrorists did not shoot the two young boys, they killed them with their own hands. Afterwards, they committed horrific acts to cover up these atrocities.”

Hagari said Hamas’ handing over “the body of an anonymous woman” instead of Shiri Bibas was “further evidence of Hamas’ barbaric cruelty.”

“Donald Trump’s AG To Release Jeffrey Epstein List: ‘A Lot of Documents’

President Donald Trump “has given a very strong directive, and that’s going to be followed,” Bondi told conservative commentator Benny Johnson when asked about the release of the list in an interview that he posted on X, formerly Twitter, on Thursday.

Asked by Johnson whether Americans can expect “actual movement on this,” Bondi said: “Donald Trump doesn’t make empty promises. I think promises made, promises kept. And that’s why we’re all there to carry out his directive about making America safe and prosperous.”

Conservatives and supporters of Trump cheered Bondi’s comments on social media, with some expressing the belief that a list could be released within hours and others speculating about the names.”

Not just in Gaza…is it ?

But where’s our defence force ?

“Police have released a CCTV image in search of the attacker who raped a 14-year-old girl in a train station toilet.

The British Transport Police have been searching for the young girl’s rapist for a year and continue to plea for information that could bring her closer to justice.

They re-released the image of a man who could assist with enquiries after the young girl was raped in the toilets at Harlow Town train station, Essex.”

The Corbyn “our friends” quote about Hamas is not the worst part of his speech.
This – which is often ignored – is what he went on to say:
“The idea that an organisation [Hamas] that is dedicated towards the good of the Palestinian people and long-term peace and social justice and political justice in the whole region should be labelled as a terrorist organisation by the British government is really a big mistake”

“There are sickening individuals on the fringes of our movement who use our legitimate support for Palestine as a cloak and a cover for their despicable hatred of Jewish people and their desire to see Israel destroyed.

“Those people stand for everything that we have always stood against and they must be kicked out of our party.”
