Weekend 22nd February 2025

Sunday sees the German Federal Electiom . The BBC wants the AFD party to lose . No impartiality . If the ADF fails the BBC will be over the moon . If the ADF win – the gloom will be palpable . There are already suspicions that the Far Left is fixing the count .

Yippe, first again. Spotted this taster in the Daily Telegraph on-line: “The BBC’s institutional arrogance is going to destroy it.” It was for an article written by George Chesterton. Not that George Chesterton? Must be another one. Actually the great ‘G.K’ was a Gilbert not George. Thanks Wiki! 🙂

Hope the BBC, Licence Fee especially, is destroyed soon. Please put it out of its pro-Palestinian misery.

Constant references on the awful Radio 4 to the “Far Right” AfD ahead of German elections. At one point they tried to link the party with N@z1s by saying AfD were the most right-wing since the war. Would the BBC ever describe anyone as “Far Left”? Has there ever been a more Leftist globalist government than Herr Sturmer’s?

I wonder who runs the Hamas/Gaza PR department. The sickening fairground/circus style handover of the Israeli bodies was disgusting. Who could support or justify the spectacle of a baby’s body being handed over in that manner? It was a parade of perverted pride in being the most revolting people in the World. One could liken it to Himmler proudly showing the foreign press around the gas chambers and crematoria in Auschwitz.

As a postscript, it turns out that there was worse to come. What next? execute hostages on stage?

The BBC always used to scoff at Boris Johnson’s scathing reports on EU madness…such as the bendiness of bananas…but if you read his columns and check the facts you’d find he was pretty much right every time….and the EU keeps on going as it announces that coffee is dangerous for humans if ingested.

‘The European Union has issued a warning that caffeine is “harmful to humans if swallowed” under a ruling banning the use of the central component of coffee in pesticides.

The decision by the European Commission, the executive arm of the economic bloc, was in response to an application by a French company Progarein to use the stimulant to ward off insects from crops of cabbages and potatoes.

Coffee is a much-loved staple on the continent – the largest consumer market of the drink in the world – and an integral part of the daily routine for people across the planet.

However, in banning its application to agriculture, the commission said scientific evidence from the European Food Safety Authority showed “caffeine has adverse effects on the cardiovascular system, hydration and body temperature in adults, as well as on the central nervous system (sleep, anxiety, behavioural changes) in adults and children, and an adverse birth weight-related outcome in pregnant women.”

“Furthermore, due to the absence of data, the Authority could not conclude its assessment of non-dietary risks for operators, workers, bystanders and residents,” the regulation statement from October said.’

BBC curiously not seeming too eager to report this one….probably just a bit too negative about their favourite empire.

As most gardeners know, coffee grounds are a valuable resource for the garden.

This just another boring – and wrong – ‘directive’ by a group of unelected nobodies who exist in a place where gardens are never permitted, because their perception of agriculture is dulled by their own town-inbred elitist mediocrity.

You’d have thought that the ‘organic veganoids’ would welcome any progress in non-chemical methods of mollusc control and fertiliser, but oh no, they have to keep dirging their mantras in the face of falling agriculture procedures and customs, (including the disgraceful new steal from Rachel in stapler supplies), to try and change their blinkered ‘world’.

Like most gardeners I gave up GQT years ago when the beeboid wokery got their painted little fingers into their pinko rubber gloves and decided that all fruit and vegetables were The Devil’s Dumplings, (viz – Blackadder’s rich aunt)!

I broadly agree with much of what NO says. Where I disagree is that he seems to suggest that the Globalist leadership is driven just by avarice and are relatively few in number. I think that the Globalist Leadership cadre is much larger , many thousands strong , and whilst all benefit financially many of them are also motivated by the ideology of Globalism, a new world where equality reigns. ( Sounds familiar) . This was something that could be sold as attractive and altruistic to millions of apparatchiks.
Of course it’s a wrong headed and highly dangerous ideology but then ideologies often are and many have proven far more destructive than avarice has in the last 100 years.
To free us from the pernicious grip of the Globalist ideology the people need to hear the truth. Like other ideologies Globalism cannot stand if the truth is available to those it attempts subjugate.

Some are suggesting the BBC should be prosecuted under terrorism laws for promoting Hamas [they should] but maybe they should also be prosecuted for grooming young children in an attempt to make them available to the trans or gay fraternity…

    https://www.spiked-online.com/2025/02/21/why-is-cbeebies-celebrating-transvestite-sex-workers/

‘Why is CBeebies celebrating transvestite sex workers?’

‘The BBC is pushing trans propaganda on pre-schoolers.

CBeebies, the BBC’s platform for pre-school children, has run a bizarre puff piece lionising two transvestite prostitutes.

Ahead of this year’s International Women’s Day, CBeebies’ staff saw fit to include the late Ray ‘Sylvia’ Rivera and Marsha P Johnson in a list of ‘Inspirational Mums’.

But Rivera and Johnson were not only childless men, and thus not ‘mothers’ in any sense. They were also the kind of men that no loving parent would leave a child with. They were prostitutes known to be involved with the New York mob.

As Fred Sargeant, gay-rights campaigner and veteran of the Stonewall riots, wrote on spiked:

‘It had no toilet, water, heat or electricity. Liquor and drugs were plentiful. The four rooms were strewn with trash and occupied by as many as 20 people at a time. Food and other supplies were generally stolen or shoplifted by residents. What little cash there was came in from sex work in the 42nd Street area and elsewhere, or from begging. Conveniently, this building was next door to one of [the mob’s] porn-distribution operations.’

When the BBC is directing trans propaganda at children, recasting transvestite prostitutes as loving mothers, it is waving a womanly willy in the face of every licence-fee payer.’

The mafia had a close relationship with stonewall. The reason being because homosexuality was illegal the mafia could run clubs that exploited their customers who would never want to complain.

For example the mafia would water down the drinks but charge full prices. Elf an safety would have been out the window.

The stonewall riots were said to be in response to police invasion of mafia run clubs. So more about rubbing up the mafia the wrong way.

So when I look at the gay books in my local library for alphabet month I wonder who supplied the books – the mafia or the alphabet people?

Trump fires top US general CQ Brown in shake-up at Pentagon
    https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/clyr2xvn4dpo

An unusual bland ‘information only’ report from the BBC as they can’t easily spin this one against Trump. However they do try at the end with the usual lie by omission:

‘Meanwhile, a federal court in Maryland temporarily blocked Trump from implementing bans on diversity, equity and inclusion programmes. District Judge Adam Abelson ruled that the directives by Trump may violate free-speech rights in the US Constitution.’
That would be DEMOCRAT Judge Adam Abelson there BBC. It is relevant to the story so you should have included it.

I’m only surprised they didn’t re-run the entire George Floyd story again.

One thing I am sure is that ‘Rachel Looker’ didn’t decide the content of this article. She was directed and supervised over what to write. I suspect – given the lack of usual spiteful snipes at Trump – she basically copied it from somewhere else.

Can you believe the blind arrogance of these far left war mongering morons, in charge of a country they are in the process of bankrupting, putting farmers and many others out of business with pensioners and many others who cannot afford to heat their houses? With cost of living rises becoming impossible for many, whilst claiming we all need to pay more and more taxes ?

“Keir Starmer shrugs off Trump as he prepares to give new aid to Ukraine and sanction Russian oligarchs amid US President’s war of words with Volodymyr Zelensky.

The Prime Minister will use the third anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, February 24, to reveal a ‘triple whammy’ of measures.

Final details of the measures are being drawn up, but could include extra weapons for Ukrainian forces and sanctions, which would build on the already over 2,000 Russian people and entities that have been sanctioned since the war.

On Monday, John Healey, the Defence Secretary, will give interviews explaining the extra support and David Lammy, the Foreign Secretary, is expected to address the Commons.”

Mr Trump has already criticised the Prime Minister ahead of his visit, claiming he ‘didn’t do anything’ to end the Ukraine war.

And Sir Keir’s new support package risks angering Mr Trump further.

To calm tensions, Sir Keir is expected to announce the date when 2.5% of UK GDP will be spent on defence, The Telegraph reported.

This would likely be sold to the US President as proof that Downing Street agrees with his demand for increased defence spending by European nations.

However, Sir Keir will likely be interrogated on how the spending increase would be paid for.

“Ed Miliband has recruited three Extinction Rebellion cheerleaders to government roles to help him push through his costly green agenda.

The Energy Secretary has quietly appointed the advisers who have all publicly expressed admiration for the radical action group which has repeatedly brought chaos to Britain’s streets.

Mr Miliband’s top team includes former Extinction Rebellion (XR) lawyer Tobias Garnett who led a successful court challenge against the Metropolitan Police five years ago when it tried to ban the group from staging disruptive protests in London.

At the time, Mr Garnett said the world was in the midst of a ‘mass extinction’ event, adding: ‘We are responsible – and there is a limited amount of time to do something about it.’

Mr Garnett, now a special adviser to Mr Miliband, has since removed references to his XR past from his LinkedIn page.

He is joined at the Department of Energy by special adviser Eleanor Salter, a writer and activist who previously praised XR’s ‘hugely successful’ campaign of disruption, saying it had been ‘a great accelerator for activism’.

In the past, Ms Salter has called for a crackdown on aviation, including an end to all domestic flights.

She urged the last government to ban all new road building and suggested many cars should be taken ‘off the road altogether’.”

This is the estimated bill for nothing more than virtue signalling, that will make NO DIFFERENCE for a small country like the UK in a world that is largely ignoring it, and which will reduce the population to little more than bankrupt medieval peasants, unable to even travel out of their villages:

“The Climate Change Committee estimates that hitting the goal will cost the UK one to two per cent of GDP per year. By 2050, the annual cost could be £50billion.

But it can be revealed that one of Mr Miliband’s junior ministers has previously predicted the bill could be twice as high.

In 2019, Miatta Fahnbulleh, then chief executive at the New Economics Foundation, said meeting the 2050 target would require ‘a huge level of government investment’.

‘We think it needs to be much higher, probably three to four per cent of GDP,’ she said.”

The Trump counter revolution is gathering pace and force. The Overton window is quickly shifting rightwards and the Globalist / Liberal world view is collapsing with astonishing speed. Surely the Globalists will fight back but so far they have been ineffectual.
The counter revolution is crossing the Atlantic. JD Vance spoke to and for the oppressed people of Europe and the European elites are in turmoil. They know that the people are ready to revolt and speeches like Vance’s might be the catalyst. The elite is losing control of the narrative , the truth is seeping out.
With the USA recommitted to free speech and the tech giants at least going along with it , how can the European Globalist elite keep control? I don’t think that they can. Trump’s counter revolution is going global and the Globalists can’t stop it.

    2024:

“Muslim Council of Britain could be among groups identified as extremist.

since 2021, the MCB has found itself cut off from government engagement.

The Conservative government’s official reasoning for this is that “previous MCB leaders have taken positions that contradict our fundamental values and these have not been explicitly retracted”.

The MCB was briefly boycotted by Gordon Brown’s Labour government in 2009 after its then deputy secretary general, Daud Abdullah, signed the so-called Istanbul Declaration in Turkey. According to the government, the declaration called for attacks on Royal Navy vessels if they tried to stop weapons for Hamas entering Gaza.

The declaration said: “The obligation of the Islamic Nation [is] to regard the sending of foreign warships into Muslim waters, claiming to control the borders and prevent the smuggling of arms to Gaza, as a declaration of war, a new occupation, sinful aggression, and a clear violation of the sovereignty of the Nation. This must be rejected and fought by all means and ways.”

Another pointless virtue-signalling BBC empathy piece without agenda ?.
Of course not. As usual, it’s not their fault. It’s always racist whitey’s fault. It’s NEVER their own fault or their parents fault.

‘Brenton and his brother rallied round to try and support Rudi, who also approached mental health services to try and get support.
“He [Rudi] sat at the hospital waiting to be seen – 13 hours on one occasion, five hours on the next – he was trying himself to get help through the system,” Delvin said.
“He knew something was wrong, but again nothing came from it.
“He didn’t get any help, he was never seen at the hospital, and we just carried on trying to help him.”
‘Delvin said the response from the authorities left the family feeling “totally isolated” and with “nowhere to go” as their fears mounted.’
‘Delvin also pointed to the Nottingham attacks, in which Valdo Calocane – who also has paranoid schizophrenia – killed three people, and said they “might not have happened” had the authorities listened to his family.’

Isn’t it amazing that the BBC always manage to find black people to use for these ‘how unfair the system is’ articles. They are 1 in 30 of the population – yet both examples here are by mentally ill black people.

Perhaps the story here should be ‘Why are such a disproportionate amount of black people mentally ill murderers ?’. Because that is what the BBC are really telling us.

    How’s that DEI going ?

LA Mayor Bass’ latest bizarre move won’t fix smoldering leadership crisis.

Mayor Karen Bass fired LA City Fire Chief Kristen Crowley on Friday. Have you ever seen such a pathetic attempt at blame-shifting?

First she told us her new, expedited timeline for people who lost their homes in the wildfires to be able to rebuild and return: “three years would probably be the fastest, but, probably, it would be more like five.” Five years! We built the Golden Gate Bridge from scratch in four.

Then, in a truly bizarre development, Bass informed us that she was investigating herself over her response, including that infamous trip to Ghana.

But the absolute low point for Bass was her decision, announced Friday, to fire Los Angeles City Fire Chief Kristen Crowley. Have you ever seen such a pathetic attempt at blame-shifting? Here’s how Bass justified the move:

“As the mayor of the city, the buck stops with me. I am in charge. However, the person in charge of the fire department, as I mentioned before, whenever there was a fire emergency, a weather emergency or a hint of a problem, I am contacted directly…That did not happen this time”

    Let’s unpack that, shall we?

First of all, the idea that Bass had no idea about the severity of the fire risk because she didn’t get a phone call from the fire chief is such a brazen, blatant lie that it’s scarcely believable that she said it. But she did, so let’s review the evidence:

On January 2nd, the National Weather Service put out warnings about “extreme fire conditions.” On January 3rd that was upgraded to: “major risk – take action.” On January 4th Bass flew to Ghana. Even from there, on January 6th, she posted on X: “There is an expected destructive and potentially life-threatening windstorm starting Tuesday morning through Wednesday afternoon. Red Flag No Parking Restrictions will go into effect in certain areas tomorrow morning. Stay safe LA!”

“Stay safe, LA!”, she breezily posts, as she sips champagne at the embassy cocktail party in Accra. Somehow, through some extraordinary intervention that did not involve a phone call from Fire Chief Crowley, the genius mayor managed to intuit that there was a “potentially life-threatening windstorm” on the way. Yet did nothing about it.

Then Bass fires the city’s fire chief for not calling her, claiming she didn’t know how serious it was even as she personally posted about a “life-threatening” event? What an insult to everyone’s intelligence for Bass to wheel out this preposterous lie.”

Which tends to show how if you put a gang of fighting age men who like to sexually assault and harrass young girls actually into a uniform – our media will suddenly prick up its ears and take some notice.

So how does the mildly conservative Telegraph win top spot in the BBC news staff on-line print press line-up? By going with: Starmer to defy Trump with new aid for Ukraine – of course.

And finally, as they say… One recalls the furore over: David Starkey claims ‘the whites have become black’ Historian provokes storm of criticism after remarks during a televised discussion about the riots on BBC2’s Newsnight… Starkey spoke of “a profound cultural change” (Guardian, 2011)

BBC always keen to prioritise attacking Trump before reporting what he has done…witness how they report that he is saying Zelensky must negotiate but first the BBC gets in a dig that he has ‘changed his mind’ etc…when all along he has involved Zelensky…immediately after phoning Putin he phoned Zelensky and has always said Zelensky could be in there if he wanted to be.

Also notable how Today news forgot to mention in two reports how the two babies taken as hostages by Hamas were killed…not by an Israeli air strike but strangled and then mutilated as reported elsewhere….and despite BBC favourite Lammy slamming the killings…

‘The Foreign Secretary posted on X on Friday night: “The vile killing of the Bibas children by Hamas terrorists is sick and abhorrent.” He added: “The hostages must be released. This nightmare must end.”’

Guarantee if Israelis had done that to two Palestinian babies it would be frontpage for days.

    Times of Israel Headline:
‘Shiri Bibas’s body returned to Israel; officials assess she was ‘brutally’ murdered with sons in Gaza’

Totally different tone from the BBC.

The reality is that Hamas murdered them all in cold blood and the poster saying Israel did it is a complete lie. You have to read the BBC article very carefully to realise that.

Somebody rid us of this extreme-Left cancer.

Here is a cheerful piece from the DT about the demise of the BBC .. we are winning ….

The BBC increasingly appears to be enduring a slow-motion collapse under the weight of market forces and its own hubris. It’s been another rough week for the Corporation, in particular being forced to apologise for broadcasting a documentary from Gaza starring the young son of a senior member of Hamas.

When you add recurring accusations of bias to its irresistible urge to preach – rather than entertain or inform, as it should – plus a succession of avoidable scandals, sometimes it almost feels like the BBC actually wants you to hate it.

The BBC2 documentary Gaza: How To Survive A Warzone was broadcast on February 17, and featured the 14-year-old narrator Abdullah Al-Yazouri, who turned out to be the son of Ayman Alyazouri, a man described as being “Hamas royalty”. None of this was mentioned at the time.

The day after the BBC’s apology on Wednesday, the world witnessed the grotesque carnival of Hamas parading dead hostages in black coffins.

A BBC breaking news bulletin reported this with a headline “Hamas says it did ‘everything in its power’ to keep the hostages alive”. Everything, that is, except kidnapping them in the first place. That was supported by three Hamas statements “as context”.

The BBC is an organisation whose obsession with “balance” has mutated from the admittedly tricky position of trying to pander to no one to barely disguised legitimisation of Iranian-backed terrorists.

The documentary has since been removed from BBC iPlayer. But whatever the reason for the decision to broadcast Hamas propaganda – negligence or something more underhand – it reinforces all the worst suspicions about what is going on behind the scenes.

What defines the BBC is a culture of exceptionalism. The establishment of BBC Verify, for example, continues to confound rational thought. How can the BBC justify the expense of a 60-strong team of apparently investigative journalists whose jobs appear to be either stating the bloody obvious or reporting stories that regular BBC staff should be working on anyway?

This week, BBC Verify analysed Donald Trump’s claim that Volodymyr Zelensky was an unelected dictator. Thanks for all the searing insight. It’s about as useful as last year’s calendar.

All this in the same week it was revealed Doctor Who was in trouble, with the last series’ ratings being the lowest since the data was first published in 2014. Amid accusations from Whovians that storylines have become increasingly gimmicky, it’s reported the incumbent Ncuti Gatwa is rumoured to be on the verge of quitting.

Although Doctor Who has always been for children, it hasn’t always been childish and preachy. BBC outriders were quickly dispatched in its defence, along the lines of: “It’s the viewers on iPlayer that matter”, “It’s the under-35 audience we care about”, “Doctor Who has always been progressive”, reactions that showcase the paranoia of an institution in a permanent state of wagon-circling.

Doctor Who is the flagship of flagships. It promotes – and reflects – the values of the BBC at any given time.

I don’t much care if it does the Wokey Cokey – the show has featured trans rights, “correct” pronouns and non-binary identity, while targeting anti-abortion campaigners and tackling ablest stereotypes by getting Dalek dictator Davros out of his “wheelchair”. But bludgeoning the audience with agendas is profoundly boring.

It insults our intelligence and viewers will vote with their zappers. The BBC could do with appeasing those who actually pay the licence fee, rather than chasing those who never will. Gen Z has little to no emotional or material investment in it.

The lack of a commercial imperative in the BBC – so beneficial in in the days of terrestrial broadcasting – has helped create an unwieldy, semi-religious institution ill-equipped for its current challenges. It is beholden to groupthink and orthodoxy on issues that do not match the evolving heterodoxy of the public, provoking persistent complaints about its portrayal of British history in its programming or colourblind casting of dramas purporting to be historically accurate. In these cases it isn’t the casting itself that offends, but the intention behind it. You feel like you are being bashed over the head.

The BBC allowed Gary Lineker to effectively write his own code of conduct. The Proms are dumbed down every summer. There’s almost no arts coverage on its television channels at all. Radio 2 can’t seem to get anything right.

Last month it was accused of misrepresenting London-based production staff working on The Traitors as Scottish to meet its diversity quotas. (The BBC has since said the number of Scotland-based staff employed on the reality TV show increased between its first and second series and maintains the productions met rules imposed by Ofcom, its regulator.)

Meanwhile, the BBC’s insularity meant it could not police the conduct of its worst employees. The scandals it so cowardly failed to confront in-house are a litany of hubristic oversights: Jimmy Savile, Stuart Hall, Rolf Harris and Huw Edwards being the very worst of a bad bunch that seems to grow by the year. The cumulative effect for audiences is alienation and disloyalty.

In some sense this is a tale as old as time. In 2016, the Commons select committee concluded that BBC internal culture was “bureaucratic, arrogant and introspective”. Both sides believed the BBC was against them over Brexit. I’m an outlier in that I still cling to the fantasy that public service broadcasting is important. To me, that means the BBC in some form.

Sadly, it looks as if the challenge from streaming services and digital media is insurmountable, ever diminishing the public’s trust with young progressives increasingly seeing the BBC as too conservative and conservatives seeing it as too progressive.

The BBC is in a no-win situation, like a team lining up to face New Zealand’s All Blacks: if you mock the Haka, they accuse you of disrespect. If you ignore the Haka, they accuse you of disrespect. If you confront the Haka, they accuse you of disrespect. There seems no way out.

Even so, so many of the BBC’s long-term problems are of its own making. At least it still has The Traitors (for now).ENDS As will the BBC

TOADY Watch #1 – men’s doubles (Simon Jack & Jonny Dymond*) is no excuse BBC

The BBC try to sow division between the Israeli hostages families & campaigners on their behalf and the Israeli Government? Yesterday we heard that DNA tests had shown that Shiri Bibas body had not been returned as Hamas had claimed. It was in fact, a Gazan Woman. Israeli medical science is very good so Hamas has not been shown in a very good light there. But now, Shiri Bibas body has now been returned (a day late) but the biased BBC do not tell us that in the 7 a.m. News straight away. The BBC appear to be stirring the waters so they get muddy! To be fair, the BBC web-site does have the whole story: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cjw20d3l4jpo. But, but, I think the BBC is not being quite honest in their news presentation. Hopefully people with more time on their hands may formally complain.

    * I wish the BBC would organise some regular presenters for TOADY Prog. It seems the BBC’s HR Dept. is quite incapable of organising this. I remember when it was Jack de Manio presenting TODAY with one other. Then, suddenly, there were four and then six! Is four not enough?

taffman, I abandoned the Licence Fee in April 2005, almost twenty years ago. I was fed-up with hunting for a programme that I wanted to watch. TV is made for photography but the BBC Arts Programming contained very little photography. I found that most of the programmes I had trouble in finding something to watch on the BBC could then be found on ITV, Channel 4 or Channel 5. Seem to recall BBC current D-G was then responsible for Arts programming at the time.

The BBC have nothing as good as NYPD Blue or Homicide Life on the Streets or The West Wing.

I can buy box sets of all three and finance a charity shop at the same time! 😉 🙂

      – 3 Pharmacy Benefits Managers control over 90% of all prescription pricing in America
      – Pharmaceutical companies bought all 3 Pharmacy Benefits Managers
