Weekend 22nd February 2025

Sunday sees the German Federal Electiom . The BBC wants the AFD party to lose . No impartiality . If the ADF fails the BBC will be over the moon . If the ADF win – the gloom will be palpable . There are already suspicions that the Far Left is fixing the count .

View from a lawyer from across the pond

“One particularly funny one from the BBC, which is the broadcasting arm of the British government, which is a country which has exactly the kind of restricted birth right citizenship we’re talking about. The BBC: Can Trump revoke birthright citizenship? – which would probably be a surprise to most of the people in Britain, who have this version of birthright citizenship, that it is revoking it… so you know, it’s sort of the lowest common denominator when it comes to how these complex issues are discussed in the press.”

UK law says a baby is British through parentage.
US law says ANY baby born in the US is American
So if Kemi Badenoch been born in the US she would automatically be American.
However she was born in the UK so was like her mother Nigerian at that point
My guess is that as an adult she jumped through extra hoops and applied for British citizenship.

BTW Boris was born in the US but revoked his birthright cos it made his worldwide income subject to US tax.

19m0s “If they’re not here legally, then in that circumstance, you would not have birthright citizenship. You would not be a citizen. Of course, this is not really how it’s been reported.
That nuance has certainly been lost. Just some headlines related to it. …. lists
And one particularly funny one is from the BBC, which is the broadcasting arm of the British government,
which is a country that has exactly the kind of restricted birthright citizenship we’re talking about.
The BBC article : can Trump revoke birthright citizenship ?
, which would probably be a surprise to most of the people in Britain who have this version of birthright citizenship that this is revoking it.
So, you know, it’s just it’s always sort of the lowest common denominator when it comes to how these complex issues are discussed in the press.

I think ‘councillor Sedgwick ‘ needs to be looked at with their political control of plod – was it phone calls to the local chief ordering a visit ?

This sort of stuff is poison and it’s gonna get worse – I can’t see any politician strong enough to turn the tide …

There are two entrance doors on police stations these days
One door is marked “for normal people”
… go through it and you find yourself outside again.
One door is marked “For Labour politicians & mates”
and when you go through it you find yourself in the Chief Constable’s office

I need to help you with your thinking. You are completely right.

The politicians know that they are special people. That is why Mzzz Jess can criminalise someone and get them banged up for sending a hurty communication.

My old MP got two of her constituents criminalised for ‘communicating’ with her.

        They are special people.

Got stabbed, car set on fire, wife raped ??? Not special.

I predict that the AfD will do much better than the msm are saying.
There will be lots of people who, when asked “who will you vote for” by these polls will not answer AfD because they don’t want people to know who they vote for with the AfD continuously getting bad press from the media.

They will agree with the AfD but not openly say so.

We had it with Brexit and UKIP.
Reform is making it acceptable and AfD is getting there.

AfD will get a larger percentage than the media show IF there is no cheating/vote fiddling etc (as I believe happened to Trump in the election they say Biden won)

I don’t know why 47 bothers to waste time and air on TTK ….except to get the political prisoners like TR out ..

MUNICH, DE — Following Vice President J.D. Vance’s speech condemning Europe for failing to do its part alongside America to protect democratic ideals, European leaders vowed they would exact revenge on the Trump Administration by paying their own bills for security and energy.

“We will not get pushed around by this American Vice President with his steely blue eyes and strong words,” French parliament member Francios Bernard told the press. “We will fight American oppression by cutting them off from NATO and paying our own military, defense, and humanitarian aid bills. Now who is the one laughing?”

Many other representatives from the European Union issued similar statements over the weekend. French President Emmanuel Macron derided Vance for his scathing rebuke of Europe and promised to finally start paying for their own way on the national stage.

“We will not get talked down to any longer by the country we’ve allowed to pay all of our foreign defense bills,” Macron said. “We will show President Trump who is boss. From here on out, no more free American dollars coming into France on my watch!”

Trump issued his own statement that read “Good.”

At publishing time, Europe also vowed to retaliate against the U.S. by halting exports of those chocolate Kinder Eggs.

SO, we spend 2.3% on defence.
Government want to get it up to 2.5%
We spend 0.5% on foreign aid
    2.3% plus 0.5% = 2.8%
    Simples.

“When the migrants pass through the Strait of Gibraltar, the French president orders troops to the south and addresses the nation with his plan to repel them. However, in the middle of the address, he breaks down, demanding the troops simply follow their consciences instead. Most of the troops immediately desert their posts and join the civilians as they flee north, and the south is quickly overrun by the migrants. Some of the last troops to stand their ground take refuge in a small village, along with Calguès, an old man who has chosen to remain at his home, and Hamadura, a Westernized Indian who is terrified of his “filthy, brutish” countrymen and prides himself on having more in common with whites than Indians. ”

The big story in the German election is the unstoppable rise of the AfD.

The BBC can’t bear that reality, so who do they make their report about?

An insignificant left wing party called Die Link, complete with video of their photogenic leader, in which she is unchallenged.

Bbc bias (lies) in a nutshell, once again:

“BBC exposes its own bias against Reform UK in coverage of major policy.

The BBC has long forfeited the right to call itself an impartial news source worthy of our TV licence fee.

In a stunning display of journalistic malpractice, the BBC has once again proven its inability to report objectively on climate policy. Their recent coverage of Reform UK’s net zero policy announcement is nothing short of a masterclass in bias and misinformation. No BBC fact-checkers in sight when you really need them!

Reform UK’s proposal, far from being a simple “tax on renewables” as the BBC misleadingly reports, is a bold step towards rectifying years of misguided energy policy.

The party’s primary approach is to remove the excessive subsidies that have artificially propped up the renewable energy sector and to eliminate the punitive carbon tax of £60/MWh that has effectively doubled the cost of gas, our most affordable energy source.

Yet, in a breathtaking feat of distortion, the BBC characterises this as “taxing renewables.” This is a totally inaccurate misrepresentation of Reform UK’s policy.

What Reform UK proposes is not a new tax whatsoever, but rather the recovery of taxpayers’ money that has been funnelled into the pockets of renewable energy companies.”

“The BBC’s reporting conveniently ignores the core issue: the astronomical cost of net zero policies to the average British household. Instead of investigating the true impact of these policies on energy bills and industrial competitiveness, the BBC chooses to frame Reform UK’s proposal as an attack on clean energy.”
