‘Jonathan Sumption: Why I believe Lucy Letby is probably innocent’

It will be interesting to see if the Letby conviction is overturned eventually….the BBC has put all its money on ‘guilty’ and doesn’t entertain the idea one slightest bit that she may be innocent or even that there might be questions to ask about the conviction. There is absolutely no doubt in the BBC’s mind. If Letby had was black however….?

The BBC continues to put the ‘evidence’ for the prosecution…and like the inquiry dodges questions of innocence…

‘The inquiry is not examining the question of Letby’s guilt. Instead, it is exploring how she was able to kill repeatedly, hearing more than 60 days of witness evidence and reviewing thousands of emails, text messages and handwritten notes.’

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/resources/idt-30341313-26f6-448a-ba92-b397a802fbb9

Not sure how you can avoid asking questions about the evidence and its credibility in such an inquiry…surely part and parcel if you’re ‘exploring how she was able to kill repeatedly’….was she able to ‘kill repeatedly’?….if she is innocent and didn’t ‘kill repeatedly’ then the inquiry is inquirying into something that didn’t happen.

It is curious how determined and intransigent the BBC is in this particular case and how it has come out blatantly backing one side asking no questions at all and even trying to silence those who have their doubts….such as Lord Sumption who asks a few uncomfortable questons in the Times today…

The parents of the dead babies seem to be stridently backing the guilty verdict for Letby. One wonders what the motivation might be, the possibility of reopening something that was given closure with the guilty verdict? They were in Court to hear the evidence, but that would be the same doubtful statistical and other blame shifting evidence that the Jury also heard. I would have thought that their babies not being murdered would be more of a comfort. Perhaps there are other motivations, a unity in loss, or …………?

Fixation triggered by trauma isn’t uncommon, it’s normal.

Decades ago when a relative expired d/t medical negligence / incompetence at a local A&E – I found an NHS instruction / policy document which contained unequivocal suggestions about to leverage victim trauma and psychologically manipulate the deceased’s surviving relatives to evade accountability / admission / liability. I was as daft at the time as whoever accidentally exposed the document library – I didn’t archive it in multiple places.

Some midwit had exposed the NHS Trust intranet – quite a circus of toxic mendacity,

LOL….BBC very conflicted as to how to report a falling out between it’s favourite Prince and his showgirl wife and the Black Chair of a charity he founded. There’s very little fact and a lot of dodging such as this bit of misdirection…

‘She said she first felt tension between Prince Harry and herself a year ago.

She also claimed the duke’s team asked her to defend his wife Meghan from negative publicity.’

BBC presents it as if Markle is again the victim when the truth is there was good reason for criticism of her. The BBC’s solution is to downplay criticism of both sides and produce a very anodyne report.

Compare and contrast the BBC report and the Telegraph’s if you can access them both…the Telegraph’s is much more indepth and wide-ranging…

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/crldrrxz33ro

    https://www.telegraph.co.uk/royal-family/2025/03/29/chair-prince-harry-south-africa-charity-lashes-out-sussexes/

    From the Telegraph..

‘The Duchess was filmed asking the Zimbabwe-born lawyer, who stood on Prince Harry’s right, to move to her left side away from her husband, as he kept his arm tightly around his wife, forcing her to duck under the trophy to switch position.

The brief encounter generated huge publicity and, behind the scenes, the Sussexes were said to be furious.

One well-placed source said this moment was the catalyst for the falling out with Ms Chandauka.

“Ultimately, it comes down to that polo match and the awkward moment with Meghan moving her out the way,” the source said.’

Just why is Markle in this line-up anyway?

I wonder which is more dangerous…the BBC which tells a boy that he should question his gender and then cut off his cock and take toxic drugs for life or Andrew Tate and his cartoonish take on life? Actually I don’t wonder…it’s the BBC…it is the most dangerous and poisonous organisation in Britain today as pumps kids full of toxic lies about sex, race, religion and climate….and hypocritically the BBC feeds the kids the very same ‘toxic masculinity’ ideas about women’s roles as it explains Islam to the kids in BBC Bitesize that it tells us are so bad when Tate says them…who is, erm, a Muslim.

The BBC [and the Government et al] is busily telling boys that they are bad, they are the problem…and that their innate sins of being male are compounded and manifested by social media….not least the ‘manosphere’….that boys attacking girls is a current consequence of that manosphere….except of course it isn’t….there’s always been such attacks…and indeed women attacking men. Jack the Ripper, the Yorkshire Ripper or Fred West were pre ‘manosphere’ as indeed was the Bulger case….how about this little savage killer?….

‘In this Victorian true crime episode we explore the disturbing case of Robert Coombes who, despite being just 13 years old at the time, was a callous and calculating murderer. ‘

We are being gaslit in a faux ‘moral panic’ drummed up by a government that wants to manufacture an excuse to let it control the internet and a BBC that wants to crush its social media rivals, both in the commercial and battle of ideas sense…the BBC wants control of the news agenda, of ‘information’ and its interpretation.

Note how the NCA joined the fray with yet more ‘moral panic’ to reinforce the government messaging…

”Sadistic’ online gangs of teen boys targeting children, says crime agency ‘

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cx2x9lk9grxo

And it is fascinating how the BBC and fellow travellers try to whip up concern about ‘incels’ whom most people will have barely heard of and never ever met or come into contact with such ideas on the web…they exist but like the almost mythical and very marginal QAnon which the BBC’s SpringtimeforHitler raged and ranted about their threat and level of awareness amongst normal society is very minimal but the BBC find them a useful ‘danger’ that can be whipped up into a menace to society that threatens us all and requires immediate and drastic action by government.

Compare and contrast the very real threat of religious takeover of our society and how the BBC and government try to silence criticism and instead promote that takeover…regardless that it is a far more dangerous and insidious threat…and one that is by degrees worse that any the so-called ‘manosphere’ might, or might not, present.

What goes on in mosques and the messaging inside those mosques is probably far, far worse than anything Jordan Peterson or indeed Andrew Tate[lol…Muslim] might say. Just remember how the police tried to prosecute C4 for its Dispatches reporting that revealed the dangerous messages being pumped out inside mosques.

      Yes…even back in 2015:

“After Paris, Luton wages its own battle for hearts and minds of homegrown radicals.

In the Bedfordshire town labelled as a centre of extremism, police chiefs and Muslim leaders are fighting to challenge the lure of Isis.
the police have been unable to ignore Bury Park for some time. In the last 12 months, Scotland Yard’s counter-terrorism command, SO15, has arrested, charged or taken action against 15 people from the neighbourhood. One former resident, Abu Rahin Aziz, 32, was killed four months ago during a US airstrike on Raqqa. Aziz is reported to have met the suspected ringleader of the Paris attacks, Abdelhamid Abaaoud, while in Syria, and learnt bombmaking techniques.

In the aftermath of the attacks on the French capital, attention centred on the Brussels district of Molenbeek, described as Europe’s “jihadi central”, where police conducted a series of raids in connection with the Paris massacres.

Although Bury Park cannot be considered in the same European context, officials and police concede that the area has established a reputation for extremism. Far-right groups brand the district an “Islamic ghetto” while Luton features periodically in terror plots. A former resident was part of the fertiliser bomb gang that planned to blow up Kent’s Bluewater shopping centre. It was also where the 7 July bombers met before attacking London’s transport network in 2005.

On occasion, signs have been missed to the extent that entire families have abandoned the terraces of Bury Park for the caliphate of Isis – most notoriously a family of 12 including a one-year-old baby. The Mannan family remain in Syria. In September a 33-year-old woman was arrested at Luton airport, on her way to Syria with her four children.”

I hate to admit it, but the BBC website article on Trfump’s tariff warfare is almost balanced! It does admit that there is a wide discrepancy on what other countries charge, and what the USA charges. It mentions India’s 100% tax on US motor bikes against 2.4% on Indian motorbikes. Other examples are EU’s 10% on cars against 2.5%, 24% on jams versus 4.5% on products from the EU.

My point is that showing such a balance is so totally unusual I have had cause to mention it.

They must have an agenda on this I can’t yet fathom

Douglas Carswell isn’t wrong….Britain has been captured by politicians, media, judges and a civil service that all have a very similar mindset and act aggressively to defend their positions and their worldview…..and Tories have been stupidly complacent and tolerant and accomodating of ‘the enemy’…Labour packs organisations with its own people whilst the Tories failed to remove them and indeed often placed Labour people in positions of power and influence who were all too likely to oppose any Tory moves in a mistaken and foolish attempt to show themselves as tolerant and ‘broadchurch’.

In the US Trump is doing everything he can to crack down on those who actively seek to undermine legitimate government policy…but also acts to rebuild American society so that it properly reflects the real views of the majority and not the imposed, divisive and destructive luxury beliefs of the left-wing ‘elite’.

‘RESTORING TRUTH AND SANITY TO AMERICAN HISTORY ‘

‘Over the past decade, Americans have witnessed a concerted and widespread effort to rewrite our Nation’s history, replacing objective facts with a distorted narrative driven by ideology rather than truth. This revisionist movement seeks to undermine the remarkable achievements of the United States by casting its founding principles and historical milestones in a negative light. Under this historical revision, our Nation’s unparalleled legacy of advancing liberty, individual rights, and human happiness is reconstructed as inherently racist, sexist, oppressive, or otherwise irredeemably flawed. Rather than fostering unity and a deeper understanding of our shared past, the widespread effort to rewrite history deepens societal divides and fosters a sense of national shame, disregarding the progress America has made and the ideals that continue to inspire millions around the globe.

The prior administration advanced this corrosive ideology.

We will restore the Smithsonian Institution to its rightful place as a symbol of inspiration and American greatness –- igniting the imagination of young minds, honoring the richness of American history and innovation, and instilling pride in the hearts of all Americans. ‘

Excellent news – the today propaganda show – the new girl formally complains against comrade Robinson – from the DT

STARTS Emma Barnett complained about “overbearing” Nick Robinson, her Today programme co-host, after joining the flagship BBC Radio 4 show, it has been claimed.

The presenter is said to have made the complaint to Deborah Turness, the chief executive of the BBC’s news and current affairs division.

Barnett and Robinson have gone 90 days without appearing on air together amid rumours of “clashing egos”. The pair have co-presented the show only on 13 occasions.

Ms Barnett made the complaint after joining the programme from Woman’s Hour in April last year, according to The Mail on Sunday.

The matter was resolved with no action taken. There was no suggestion that Mr Robinson, 61, had done anything wrong.

Source told the newspaper that the differences were down to the “inevitable stresses and strains caused by the pairing of two strong characters” and that there had been a misunderstanding between them

Emma made a complaint about Nick,” the source reportedly said. They added that tensions had persisted so much that they “can’t be on together as she finds him overbearing”.

    Schedules ‘out of the ordinary’
Other insiders have downplayed the claims and it is understood the complaint was not “formal”.

The sources insisted that “schedules have been out of the ordinary lately” after presenter Mishal Husain left the programme last year, with editors preferring to pair a deputy with an experienced regular presenter.

It is expected that Barnett and Robinson will present together soon and schedules will return to normal once new host Anna Foster join the programme.

The BBC recently announced Foster, a former Middle East correspondent and BBC Radio 5 Live presenter, would replace Husain.

According to industry figures, the weekly audience for Today now stands at 5.73 million. This is down from the 7.5 million it reached in 2016, but its performance is relatively stable and more people are also listening to it later on apps.

The BBC declined to comment. ENDS

I believe JFK was shot from the back and the front. I would not like to say who the actual assassins were.

JFK was shot in the back, but the wound was shallow. I have come to the conclusion, based on an autopsy photo, that he was also shot in the back of the head. The bullet fired from the front blew out the back of his head, leaving a fragment of skull 30 feet behind the car.

The bullet from behind which exited JFK’s throat also struck Governor Connally. The remains of this bullet were found in the car. A third bullet missed and hit the pavement in front of the car, injuring a spectator.

I make it three bullets from the back, one from the front. The last two shots were fired almost simultaneously, most witnesses agree on that.
