Seems an “English” bloke up north originally from Iran gave the police a fast car chase which resulted in several police cars being smashed up and several officers seriously injured on the A1. The bloke had a track record of motoring offences and got behind the wheel again while out on bail awaiting trial even though warned not to.

Now I would have expected a custodial result while awaiting trial as he obviously couldn’t give a toss for the courts or police.

    Nope… they bailed him again….

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cewgj1p79j4o

Makes one wonder how this would have panned out justicewise if he had been born up north rather than Iran does it not?

Maybe TTK might explain for us?

I see plenty of his type in the city centre near me when I venture in,
Always seem to have nice new looking BMW’s etc speeding up and down the roads, never seem to see them doing any work though, other than looking after their many many water melon and oranges shops usually 4 or 5 or more all next to each.
All legitimate I’m sure. I just didn’t realise how many people buy water melons at 1 o’clock in the morning.
I’m looking forward to the BBC exposure of increasing numbers of these shops !

Er….all that ‘doge’ stuff? You mean rooting out corruption, theft and waste on a massive scale? He really is the most awful person isn’t he?

Times hates Trump even more than the BBC does…or makes it more viscerally obvious…and so Musk must also get it just for his association with Trump. The media really is the most corrupt, broken and dangerous bunch of charlattans and guttersnipes….their hypocrisy literally knows no bounds…they who eagerly pumped out Putin’s propaganda about Trump [that dodgy dossier] whilst ironically claiming Trump was Putin’s puppet when it was they themselves doing Putin’s dirty work. Spiked on Camus…

‘This is the contention that a liberal elite is deliberately ‘replacing’ white, indigenous Europeans with non-white, mostly Muslim migrants. He writes of a ‘genocide by substitution’ of white Europeans, organised by a ‘genocidal bloc’ of political parties and interests. He accuses migrants from the Middle East and North Africa of staging a ‘colonial and genocidal occupation’ of the West. ‘

      https://www.spiked-online.com/2025/04/19/dont-turn-renaud-camus-into-a-martyr/

Trouble is Spiked thinks the great replacement is a dangerous lie….

‘To suggest Camus merely ‘criticises mass immigration’, or is simply ‘alarmed by immigration’, as some UK outlets have euphemistically suggested, is to severely undersell just how inflammatory, hysterical and obnoxious his arguments are.
he is best known internationally for popularising the phrase ‘the great replacement’ in hard-right and far-right circles. This is the contention that a liberal elite is deliberately ‘replacing’ white, indigenous Europeans with non-white, mostly Muslim migrants. He writes of a ‘genocide by substitution’ of white Europeans, organised by a ‘genocidal bloc’ of political parties and interests. He accuses migrants from the Middle East and North Africa of staging a ‘colonial and genocidal occupation’ of the West.

Many Britons are indeed worried about mass and illegal migration, but are surely observant enough to recognise that they are not actually victims of a ‘genocide’ or living under a kind of reverse ‘colonisation’. ‘

Really? He clearly hasn’t seen the joy that the BBC et al express when they report the new demographics that show white people being outnumbered in their own countries and not least the efforts to irradicate ‘whiteness’ and to destroy white history, culture and society.

The Great Replacement is real and very dangerous….and they really don’t want you to know it’s happening and the BBC will gaslight you about it…

‘…. the Great Replacement Theory. It’s a racist far-right conspiracy theory that falsely states there’s a secret plan to replace white people through increased immigration and other means.

Many far-right terrorists have referenced this theory as the driving force behind their murderous actions – but where does this idea originate from, and how seriously should we be taking its proliferation here in the UK? ‘

The Parliament Square statue of the suffragist, a prominent campaigner for women’s rights in the 19th century, was daubed with graffiti reading “f– rights” on Saturday.’

Just remember that the BBC was fully on-board the trans bandwagon providing not just propaganda on its behalf but actually helping to lure vulnerable youngsters down that dangerous pathway…grooming them and recruiting them for the trans lobby.

It still is fully onboard of course….it won’t be long before it cranks up the full-on attacks on the law and any who want it enforced.

Do they have the grooming gangs in Ireland ?

If they start doing to young Irish girls what they’ve been doing to our little girls I can’t imagine the Irish being so meek as we are and just accepting everything the way it’s been covered up here.

I imagine the groomers will get a taste of Irish ‘justice’ if they try it over there.

Does it happen in other Countries such as Germany, Italy or Denmark for example. If so, how do they react?
Do they just lie down as we’ve done or do they mete out some kind of retribution.

The BBC has a reputation for huge bias when it comes to protests
eg for TR protest and CovidPolicy protests they try to make out the numbers are a tenth of what they really are ..a crowd of thousands will be referred to as “hundreds”
And they will make out that they caused large amounts of violence.
Then for counter protesters the BBC reporting is completely the other way , hiding genuine violence etc.

However on Friday local BBC was different
Big Opening item :”Protest at Scunthorpe steel plant”
I was expecting hundreds of pre-printed placards run by the unions.
      However
      # 1 The protest showed only 6 women
(THat seems a staged shot that removed the children that are shown on the ladies own Facebook)
#2 She does seem a genuine long term protester , as her husband works on the blast furnaces
#3 She is not a lefty, but is calling for nationalisation

#4 The item shown. First the leader speaking followed by another older woman
Eh up, you see from the screen captions they have the same surname
From Facebook it seems they are daughter and mother
The BBC chose not to mention that

So the BBC gave big coverage to a protest to a protest by ONE family and their 4 friends and children.

Perhaps reporting of other protests is suppressed under election purdah rules,
ie don’t report a protest by a union affiliated to the Labour Party .

When you add up the cost of extra green measures already started cos the government had always forced them on the plant my guess taxpayers will pay £6bn upfront
That’s CCS scheme, hydrogen fuel pipeline scheme .. , 2 new electric arc furnaces
and decommissioning of blast furnaces etc.
Plus the taxpayer will fork out for the high green energy prices and carbon taxes the government mandates.

This tells you all you need to know about these far left philistines:

“Rachel Reeves was accused of being ‘ashamed to embrace British history and tradition’ after the full list of artworks she has removed from No 11 was obtained by The Mail on Sunday.

Portraits of Sir Isaac Newton and former prime ministers including William Pitt and Henry Pelham have been replaced by baffling abstract paintings depicting ‘Covid anxiety’ and social distancing.

The Chancellor has removed 31 works of art either featuring men or by male artists in order to celebrate the ‘amazing women who have gone before us’.

This newspaper revealed last week that Sir Keir Starmer had removed 69 artworks from No 10 – including portraits of Elizabeth I, and William Shakespeare.

He also removed a portrait of Margaret Thatcher from his Downing Street study, claiming that he does not like ‘images and pictures of people staring down at me’.

Ms Reeves has followed suit by ‘deinstalling’ the portrait of former chancellor and prime minister Benjamin Disraeli, as well as King James I and II.

And while Sir Keir swapped his historic paintings for contemporary works including a depiction of a reggae festival and others inspired by Nigerian and Ghanaian culture, the Chancellor opted for art commemorating the Covid lockdowns.”

Awake early, Mrs S and I mused over the imminent Toady on Sunday and wondered, on Easter Day, how they would showcase the usual positive cuddly pro Muslim stories.
We didn’t need to wait long.
The very first story was how a Mosque in Birmingham is helping with litter picking during the bin strike.
The very next story was about how a theatre workshop for refugees and asylum seekers had encouraged the faith of one of their number. No prizes for working out which faith.
    In other observations….
The word ‘Easter’ appeared only once, and after over half an hour and only in this context. ‘Because it’s Easter we had to talk to our contact at the Roman Catholic Church ……in Gaza!!!’

If you need more how about this? There was a feature on the 30 th anniversary of the comedy ‘Father Ted’. They interviewed a lady from the production team. She enthused about how wonderful and brilliant were the scripts. What was not mentioned was that one of those wonderful and brilliant scriptwriters was Graham Linehan. He has been ostracised from the profession and denied work because of his belief in biological sex, about which he has written and latterly spoken. The Trans lobby (so cool, so progressive, so happening)had it in for him and the media profession spinelessly fell into line. His marriage fell apart. He is relocating to America.

Labour ministers are secretly plotting to defy the landmark court ruling that men who change gender are not legally women, leaked WhatsApp messages obtained by The Mail on Sunday have revealed.

The Government claimed to welcome the Supreme Court judgment – but the exchanges reveal the private fury on Sir Keir Starmer’s frontbench, with ministers planning to hold a meeting this week to ‘decide a way forwards’ and ‘organise’.

In the messages, sent on Thursday evening, Culture Minister Sir Chris Bryant joined an attack on Baroness Falkner, chairwoman of the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC), who earlier that day had said that the ruling – that a woman is defined by biological sex – clearly meant trans women could not use single-sex female facilities or compete in women’s sports.

Did he provide any evidence BBC ?. Because if Trump makes any bold claims, you always tell us if he didn’t.

But anyway, aside from giving the ridiculous statements from Zelensky full credibility and never questioning his absurd claims, it seems the BBC offerr this picture as evidence of the attack:

    db076e40-1d28-11f0-b700-f1f963c8c095.jpg.webp

    The we are told:
‘Putin ordered his forces to “stop all military activity” in Ukraine from 18:00 Moscow time (16:00 BST) on Saturday until midnight on Sunday. Kyiv said it would also adhere.’

I only hope that every American knows this information.

“Rap sheets, photos of suspected Tren de Aragua gang members Trump admin tried to deport before SCOTUS ruling.

Venezuelans’ rap sheets include assault, weapons charges, DUI”

The biggest success that Islam has had in the West is to cement the one word islamaphobia into everyday speech and in particular in the left wing press.

It is more effective in squashing any opposition than any other weapon they might have used….mainly because our legal system has embraced it totally in the most stupid way imaginable.

This really is paying for the rope that will hang you.

Nothing to do with anything but I’ve got a question which has been stuck in my head for a few hours so can anybody answer it.

There’s an LP cover with the Holbein anamorphic painting called The Ambassadors (below) where there is a skull visible when viewed sideways.
I think it may be a group along the lines of Fairport Convention or Sandy Denny.
I believe Greenday may have used it but it’s the earlier LP, probably from the ‘70’s that’s got me trying to remember what it is.
    Anybody remember the LP?

    Here’s the painting’

The original album cover for White Light/White Heat is a faint image of a tattoo of a skull.
it was Warhol’s idea to use a black-on-black picture of the tattoo
On the physical version of the album, this can only be seen when viewing the cover from a certain angle

This may or may not be the answer, but Steeleye Span’s album “All Around My Hat” featured an album cover described by Wikipedia –

“The album cover and back was designed by John O’Connor, a friend of the band’s guitarist Tim Hart, using an anamorphic projection that distorted the facial features of the band members but which looks correct when viewed from the side through special pinholes in the lyric sheet.”

        Thanks for the reply.
        It’s not that cover.
It’s possible the Ambassadors painting was in the album cover but not the whole cover or maybe just the anamorphic skull part.

Thanks but it was neither of those.
I’m thinking folk rock types of music.
    Steeleye Span, Fotheringay or similar.
I remember a mate of mine had the LP bought from the Naafi when I was in the Army in Hildesheim during the early 70’s.
I couldn’t see the skull (the anamorphic part) but I was looking L to R where I think R to L shows it better.

Walking in the footsteps of Jeff on this beautiful sunny morning … going for a countryside walk with little dog, I returned to settle down with a coffee to watch a black and white film from 1959.

I couldn’t believe to see a trigger warning about language and attitudes of the time etc before it started. I mean, there was no effing and blinding, no blatant nudity, certainly no thuggery, violence or scenes of shooting up drugs. So God knows why a Warning was issued. The film? “I’m Alright Jack” with a stellar cast of the best of English actors – the fabulous Ian Carmichael / Peter Sellars / Terry Thomas (an absolute shower) – who could take offence at them ?.

It’s a great film of a gentler time but enjoyable showing management and the upper and working classes competing. Even the wokery lot might enjoy it.

    Fcking Blair:

“Revealed: The trick Irish traveller families used at six bars in the same town… before suing them for thousands.

A group of Irish travellers went on an alternative pub crawl – going to six different bars in the same area of suburban London, arguing with bar staff in each and then suing them all for thousands of pounds as victims of racism.

The incident is the most apparently cynical yet in the growing scandal of ‘manufactured’ legal cases for prejudice which has been described as ‘the biggest threat to the hospitality industry since Covid’.

A Daily Mail investigation revealed a tidal wave of recent legal claims have been filed by groups of Travellers who allege they have been refused service by a pub, bar, or restaurant on the grounds of racism.

At least 200 pubs have now been sued by a handful of Traveller families, with one group, the Mongans, featuring 122 times.

Its most prolific claimant, Brian Mongan, was behind 44 claims while members of the McDonagh family featured 25 times, we revealed.”

And this is actual, real genocide, will we see people on the streets protesting ?

“Fears remain this Easter that Christians in Nigeria are being ‘wiped out’ by Muslim extremists.

Islamist militants have reportedly killed thousands of Christians in Nigeria.

The killing and persecution of Christians by Islamist militants intent on creating a muslim caliphate in this West African country is continuing apparently unchecked despite the population being 46% Christian.

“Nigeria’s Christians are being wiped out; we need to call it what it is — genocide,” Jeff King, president of International Christian Concern (ICC), a persecution watchdog, told Fox News Digital.

“Let’s start with the horrible attacks on April 2-3, 2025, in (Nigeria’s) Plateau State’s Bokkos County. Over 60 Christians (were) slaughtered, and 383 homes torched” King said. “Families were burned alive, and kids were left homeless. It’s gut-wrenching. The worst thing is that there’s nothing truly “special” about this attack. This has gone on for 20 years and has only expanded.”
