    Spending on British Quasi-Autonomous Non-Governmental Organisations (Quangos) has risen sharply to nearly £344 billion, with hundreds of top quango officials now earning more than the prime minister. There are 304 British Quasi-Autonomous Non-Governmental Organisations (Quangos) who work independently from democratic accountability, yet are paid by the taxpayer.

    In the last ten years, staff numbers of quangos have grown by nearly two-thirds to around 391,000, which is more than twice the size of the British armed forces. Today, 1,472 British quango officials earn more than £100,000, including 343 who earn over £200,000.

    Britains infamous authoritarian organisation called OFCOM, which is threatening Elon Musk’s ‘X’ and other American ‘Free Speech’ platforms, is a quango accountable to the British establishment as a ‘Ministry of Truth’ to censor the truth on ‘social media’, truth not approved by the British establishment.

    Unlike US values, the authoritarian EU, OFCOM and other quangos operate independently from, and superior to democratic accountability.

        https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c5yx34qrqn0o

        South Africa has one of the highest crime rates in the world, with many people living in fear.

        Official data showed that 26,232 murders, external took place in 2024, an average of 72 per day.

        ……………………………………………………………
        As of February 2024, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that 31,000 Ukrainian soldiers had been killed since Russia’s full-scale invasion began in February 2022.
        Later estimates suggest higher figures. By December 2024, Zelenskyy stated that 43,000 Ukrainian soldiers had been killed, with 370,000 wounded.
        By February 2025, the toll had risen further, with over 46,000 Ukrainian soldiers killed and 380,000 wounded.

        …………….

        In 2023/24, the homicide rate in England and Wales was approximately 9.7 homicides per million population, which translates to roughly 1.26 homicides per day on average

      The country was once known as the bread-basket of Africa but a succession of disastrous policies have sent it into steep decline.”

      https://news.sky.com/story/how-zimbabwes-economy-has-collapsed-under-mugabe-11127628

      Food production halved in the 1990s as a result of his decision to strip white farmers of their land and hand it to members of the black population who, in many cases, had no farming experience.

      The country’s involvement in a war in the Congo piled up debts while high interest rates strangled economic growth.

      Things got worse when, between 1999 and 2001, Mr Mugabe stepped up pressure on white farmers and encouraged more forcible land seizures.

        Conditions forcing people to do the right thing ….
        “The good news is that people are beginning to notice. As longtime readers will recall, I am a great believer in Milton Friedman’s dictum – that you don’t wait for the right people to show up and do the right things, you create the conditions on the ground that force the wrong people to do the right things. Keir Starmer is, by any definition, the wrong person, and the actual policy proposals of his “immigration crackdown” are riddled with more holes than an overloaded dinghy of machete-brandishing Somalis. But the fact that a socialist prime minister feels it electorally necessary to butch up on the subject is still significant”

        https://www.steynonline.com/15298/diversity-discontents

        But more primal cultures do not think like that. In their homelands, somebody loses and somebody wins. So the joys of “diversity” – of multiple cultures rubbing along side by side – is only an interim phase. They do not intend to be Quebec or Ulster. They intend to win.

It’s the first time in my life that I ever had the thought “How has everyone suddenly gone insane?” It’s when I began to constantly ask myself questions like; how and why is this happening and where is it coming from and who is behind it. And ever since then it’s just been one insane thing after another that would have been unimaginable to me previously. I never thought I would turn against any LGBT movement, being gay myself, but that’s how insane and extreme everything was becoming. And I suddenly found myself on the other side of political issues. I didn’t want to be, but it was kind of forced on me. And now I wonder if the last 10 years has a reasonable explanation that I will one day understand.”

      A DEGREE OF INFLUENCE: The funding of strategically important subjects in UK universities: Sources of Arabic and Islamic funding available on public record {pdf page21}
      “What is noticeable from the research undertaken in this report is the disparity in the levels of funding from the countries studied. There are huge amounts of cash currently being donated by Arab and Islamic sources (University of Cambridge / £1.2m / UAE / Appointment of a full-time lecturer specialising in Islam / 1996), and this has undoubtedly led to a degree of influence in the oversight of UK universities. China, however, while donating only a relatively small amount of cash, has managed to gain a disproportionate amount of influence in UK higher education via its Confucius Institutes. What is also clear is that, in terms of money donated, the likes of Japan and Russia do not appear to have the desire to influence higher education in the same way as China or certain countries in the Muslim world.” {page163}

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cvgdl092jj5o How to undermine your whole premise, BBC. Especially the fourth photo down in the article, BBC shows a clear view of the mountains behind a wimmin who is a trekking guide. Lucky Chhetri should have helped the BBC by showing the mountains obscured by haze.

    In a previous life, I lived in North London. From my bedroom window, London was often obscured by haze on a sunny day but a lot came from the perpetual building work going on in the centre of the capital. In the highlands of Scotland where there is much less pollution from building work and cars, the mountains would still be obscured by haze on a summer’s day.

    Needless to say the BBC get Climate Change and pollution into this article which appears to be entirely propaganda to me. As in my previous post on this Thread, anti-Israel and pro-Palestinian propaganda is evident for all to see.

    Lol…..couldn’t stop laughing when I heard the BBC report this this morning…

    ‘Tim Davie will set out measures he says will allow the broadcaster to play a leading role in reversing a breakdown in trust in information and institutions, as well as combating division and disconnection between people.

    They include expanding fact-checking service BBC Verify, doing more to counter disinformation, and enhancing its local journalism.’

    More fact-checking? BBC Verify is not only a somewhat Stalinist venture but itself gets its own ‘facts’ wrong and the BBC as a whole is not entirely trustworthy when it comes to ‘facts’ which turn out to be mostly opinion.
    The BBC had a frontpage story on Trump saying the wrong name for something….not something the BBC ever does…although, erm, Nick Robinson did have to apologise this morning for doing the very same thing.

    As for countering disinformation….where would they start? They’d never get out the frontdoor if they had to deal with the tidal wave of disinformation the BBC itself puts out there.

    And local journalism? The BBC is renowned for destroying local journalism.

    ‘How the BBC has become the biggest threat to local journalism ‘

    Why the BBC must stop suffocating local journalism

    The advantaged BBC is squeezing local news out of the media landscape

    The BBC is the most divisive spreader of disnformation and content that seems almost designed to whip up anger, discontent, distrust and social and political breakdown.

    It is the most dangerous organisation in Britain.
