I will step in first – just on the off-chance – to say the BBC is definitely biased. Biased against Israel. Biased against true Conservatism and the politicians that represent true Conservatism.

Defund the BBC that is the only way to beat the BBC bias.

If you have a TV Licence, get rid of it. Your TellyTax is paying for The Montacutie’s long weekends and Emma Barnett’s absences from TOADY. You are also paying for Global Warming and Climate Change Propaganda to be spewed forth by Justin Rowlatt, Climate Editor, and others such as Farming Today’s presenters.

Further to the above: BBC WEB-SITE Watch #1 – missing newspapers

More reasons to stop paying the TellyTax:
      1. the BBC is greedy for money, not just to pay Gary’s salary but to pay excessive presenters’, Editors’ & Controllers’ salaries as well.
      2. as an example of this greed, the BBC reneged on the previous agreement that the iPlayer would be available for exclusive use of catch-up TV viewing. To be fair the BBC had to then ‘pay’, effectively lose, the income for free TV Licences for those aged over 75.
      3. BBC Incompetence. They are not able to report news accurately because of their inheritent biases in favour of BAMEs, Palestinians, etc. Another example would be the BBC’s failure to find a reliable newsagent (or reliable employees when the Metro is given out free to commuters on weekdays!) to get all the newspapers every day on their web-site. There appears to be a BBC bias against the Rupert Murdoch owned Sun newspaper. Add that to your list of BBC biases!

One is forced to wonder what the D-G does all day.

Doesn’t the Far-Left BBC realise that with articles like this, they’re poking the bear?

If they’re relying on hard-working British Citizens paying the TV tax to concur with this rubbish, they don’t understand that they’re alienating the very people who are least likely to avoid the 179 quid imposition, but are quickly becoming more and more disgusted with foreigners getting benefits which they feel they deserve themselves.

If this is the case, chucking around non-articles like this, which have been cobbled together by the children of the Islington lefties, then perhaps a few more ‘scoops’ of this nature will lose them far more dosh to waste than they thought…

lWhy police released details about Liverpool crash suspect so quickly

    Daniel Sandford
    UK correspondent
    Published
    27 May 2025, 11:52 BST
After a driver ploughed into crowds during the Liverpool FC victory parade on Monday evening, Merseyside Police said within two hours they had arrested a “53-year-old white British man from the Liverpool area”.

It was striking how quickly police shared the man’s nationality and ethnicity.

The decision shows lessons have already been learned from the Southport attacks last summer, when online speculation and disinformation filled a void after the same force released little detail about the 17-year-old they had in custody.

Usually when a suspect is arrested, police forces in England and Wales just give out the age of the person and where they were arrested.

But at 19:53 BST, the force emailed out a press release including the suspect’s age, nationality and ethnicity.

It was a clear attempt to damp down inaccurate speculation on social media that the Ford Galaxy driving into Liverpool fans was part of an Islamist terrorist attack, or was in any way linked to migrants.

Merseyside Police acted “very, very quickly” to stamp out speculation on social media that had caused “real consternation”, Liverpool mayor Steve Rotheram said.

By contrast, last summer in the aftermath of the horrific knife attack in Southport in which Bebe King, Elsie Dot Stancombe and Alice Da Silva Aguiar were killed, Merseyside Police said very little about the suspect they had arrested.

This meant that inaccurate social media speculation and deliberate disinformation about the suspect having a Muslim name and being a newly arrived migrant went unchecked.

A consequence was a riot in Southport within 36 hours of the attack focused on the local mosque, and then further rioting across England, much of it aimed at hotels housing recently arrived asylum seekers.

The Southport attacker Axel Rudakubana had in fact been born in the UK and had no direct connections to Islamism, though he had downloaded an academic study of an al-Qaeda manual.

In a report published earlier this month into last summer’s events, His Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire & Rescue Services said the police service “must do more to communicate online” and “fill the information void with the truth”.

“Forces must provide a true narrative online to reach people who may be searching for information,” it added.

The report went on to say: “The police service must communicate the facts. Repeatedly, continuously and effectively as circumstances change and develop.

“If not, others will take over the narrative with overwhelming amounts of online content. And some of this may be false or harmful to the police response and the communities the police are there to protect.”

The way Merseyside Police’s communications team responded last night suggests that the force has rapidly adapted its policies since the violent disorder of last summer.

It means that a clearer picture of what had happened quickly reached people’s phones, TVs and radios and rapidly reduced the disinformation.

The problem that police forces now face is whether this new approach will lead to confusion in future.

What will a force do for example if the information about the suspect they are holding is unclear?

Even more problematically, what will a force do if they arrest someone in similar circumstances who is a recently arrived migrant or who has a clearly Muslim name?

Last night’s rapid move to correct the narrative may not be as straightforward in different circumstances.

Helen King, former assistant commissioner of the Metropolitan Police, said: “There will be times when police can confirm quickly. There are other times when it is unclear. These will always be complex and sensitive decisions.”

“Giving evidence, Det Sgt Jones said they had been called to the postnatal ward of West Wales General Hospital after medical staff raised concerns about the identity of a newborn’s parents.”

So what has a previous incident, years ago in 2017 got to do with this case? They don’t usually disclose a person’s criminal history.
    BBC wouldn’t think to ask

“The court has heard how a high profile manhunt was launched for Gordon and Marten in January 2023 after they fled their burning car near Bolton, Greater Manchester, and went off grid with Victoria.”

It was billed as a missing persons at the time, not a manhunt.

The reasons why the elite need the public?

        To pay taxes and to bail the Government / banks out when they fail to manage the Country or themselves properly;
To die for the country/state in wars and conflict as and when required.

The latter comes around infrequently. The former comes around more often.

Only solution? Change the political system, Switzerland a good example:

In my bit of londonistan you can smell cannabis morning noon and night – some puff it in the street -with an air of ‘defiance ‘ ( although they’d be too thick or foreign to understand that word ) – they are just feral – often with some killer dog .

Anyway the emir is now effectively instructing plod not to go after cannabis use – something plod has chosen to do for years . Indeed the ‘new DEI plod ‘ are more likely to use or deal cannabis / other drugs that prosecute it .

I believe if people want to suck plant smoke into their lungs – good luck to them – but if the consequence is harm to others – drug driving – nut jobs -secondary smoke – cancer wards – that’s an impact on me and I don’t want that – but it seems the Emir does ….

One – refer to him as a ‘far right activist ‘ in the first sentence . Two – refer to him by his ‘real name ‘ in sentence number 2 . Third – refer to the English Defence League somewhere in the piece .

In the video he made yesterday outside HMP TTK – Tommy mentioned that in order to prevent the britistan state from being accused of torture the ‘TTK Justice Secretary ‘ has to certify isolation/ segregation every 42 days and the current Muslim one has been regularity doing so .

Interesting to listen to Campbell’s phone-in on Liverpool in which he managed to slip in an attack on social media, the ‘Far-Right'[alleged] and Farage[of course].

We heard later from the Nagger that the ominous threat of Fascism stalking the land now would make our grandfathers quake and on Campbell we heard that an unnamed politician after the Southport attack had indulged in ‘extreme Far-Right messaging’…this was of course smearing Farage for his truth telling.

We heard that the Far-Right wanted the latest attack to be a brown person and were disappointed it wasn’t. Hmmm…the BBC was desperate for it to be a white person…which is telling in itself.

Campbell naturally blames social media, that appalling cesspool where too many people get their news….which is why we need the BBC with its fair and balanced coverage…because we need facts and honesty. And why would that be the BBC then? We just had the BBC telling the world a very dangerous lie that 14,000 babies would die in Gaza within 48 hours due to the Jews….and indeed Campbell’s own show which is a cesspool of its very own kind.

A Labour MP from Liverpool claimed that ‘hatred and division’ were caused by the Far-Right….isn’t the Far-Right a backlash created by the Far-Left’s importation of millions of people who hate us and of whom so many actually take up violence against us…such as stabbing to death of three young girls etc etc etc? The ‘Far-Right’ is a monster created by the Far-Left.

“Given the lack of substantiated evidence and official denials, the claim that Starmer acted for the Rudakubana family should be treated as unproven and likely false.”
“Viral social media claims and some online speculation have suggested that Starmer, a former human rights lawyer, represented the father of Axel Rudakubana, the Southport stabbing suspect, in an asylum case in the early 2000s. However, these claims have been firmly denied by Downing Street and other reliable sources”

One righty journo went right into it and concluded
#1 if a strong link existed between Keir Starmer and Alphonse Rudakubana, it would have already been exposed with accompanying evidence
#2 it is possible that a weak link exists between the Rudakubana’s and Keir Starmer prior to 29th July 2024, but that link is either indirect or superficial to the Southport attack.

He wants the “possession of small quantities of cannabis to be decriminalised”. This is just complete BS. In any logical sense it already has been.

Of course, this brings him great kudos with the Caribbean community, who are always griping about something, while in reality, achieving sweet FA.

There are areas of our capital city when, at any time of the day or night, the sickly scent of this foul weed is nauseating to the nostrils. No one takes a blind bit of notice. Standards have really plummeted…

So, the police turn a blind eye to cannabis, shop lifting, driving without insurance, muggings and burglary.

    BIG BRAIN CHARLIE…

Top Labour thinker Lord Charlie Faulkner has been amusing many people this morning , having been given a platform to spout his deepest thoughts, he has announced that legalizing cannabis is a great idea. (possession only, you understand) .

According to Big brain Charlie , we must stop black people being harassed over cannabis use in particular ,as there is absolutely no evidence that they use it more than any other group and it creates a lot of bad feeling, further that there is no evidence that cannabis is a “gateway drug”, something ,or other about skunk cannabis being different but no detail as to why, how, etc, that might be a policing problem in any practical sense.
It clearly made perfect sense to a man as clever as Big brain Charlie..I confess I struggled to follow much of it but I am so thick that I have always misunderstood how this man was ever the Lord Chancellor and stupidly I had fallen for the ridiculous story that he was appointed (by Tony Blair) only because he had been the Prime minister’s flatmate when they were both young barristers.

I hasten to add that could not be true , obviously such a thing would never happen.

I hope we hear a great deal more from Charlie , he talks a great deal of sense I’m sure and if only I was a clever chap I could understand it…… I will keep trying.

“Cannabis constitutes two thirds of the illegal drugs detected, and certainly affects driving behaviour for a period after its consumption, resulting in impaired co-ordination, visual perception, tracking and vigilance. Cannabis can stay in the body for up to 28 days, but obviously does not impair driver performance for anything like that amount of time. Roadside detection devices are being developed, although the diversity of the drugs being used makes it difficult to produce a single breathalyser-type test.

People generally accept that they should not drink and drive but probably are unaware of the effects of drugs, both illegal and prescribed, on their driving ability. Millions of people regularly take drugs such as anti-depressants, painkillers, antihistamines and cough mixtures, all of which can have a sedative effect, and yet most of those people probably believe that it is totally safe for them to drive after taking them.”

In reply to MarkyMark (above). The NHS is being used, as are all public bodies. The BBC is part of that same narrative. But what does it all mean?

As the UN and WHO believe the biggest source of emissions is anything ‘alive’ such as Farm Animals and People (stinky lower class people they do not like) then its clear that the NHS can be used to ‘rid people’ of whoever can sign up to (Suicide via legalised Euthanasia NHS drugs – to reduce their personal tax on society and hence NHS funding can be ‘improved’. Death being cheap.

      Net zero means eventually removing all other ‘expendables’ such as;
Reduce ‘Cattle and Sheep farming ‘which would (they say) also enable net zero targets!!!

      https://www.iamexpat.nl/expat-info/dutch-news/everything-about-governments-nitrogen-policy-and-dutch-farmers-protests
As the DUTCH have protested, The UK has just decided to do the same via Inheritance tax and a tax on Livestock (which produce Co2 as do people).

THE attack on natural Gas emissions is about to get worse in the UK.
But that also means Agricultural farms producing food using any kind of ‘fertlizer; which is based on Animal such as Chicken manure or pig slurry or horse-manure even as its all based on Nitrogen fertilizer that they also want to ban. So in short starvation, will reduce overall the huge cost of the NHS and public bodies by reducing the population. And ban all industry linked to ‘life preservation’ as it may encourage you to think that there is NO CLIMATE EMERGENCY. That CARBON is a basic building block of LIFE, and is not TOXIC and is how plants (all plants bar Mushrooms) grow.

In fact ALL food production, is linked back to having CO2 in various quantities which is linked back to the population and food supply. Mentioned in video below…

I watched this video from an acclaimed Danish professor that declared thanks to good Danish food farming practices (Denmark can feed itself, over three times over and the LEFT (in Europe) want to cripple all this agriculture – and cripple itself – as we seem to be doing with this continued drive to net zero -(which he states is an impossibility anyway). He has the leftish clans in Denmark as well, but the UK is the ONLY daft nation to FULLY IMPLEMENT ALL UN RULINGS (untested and unquestioned). Denmark not so much.

What the video here ignore the man in the iron arms. That is unexplained, but a medical marvel nonetheless. NHS would hate to fund that, far easier to just kill people off.

Note the YOUTUBE ‘UN warning’ on any climate dissent from the UN lobby groups. A warning to us that ‘climate change is real’ when the Carbon footprint is a meaningless footprint linked to ID cards and nations states to pay the EU for any ‘industry; they do not approve of. Make your won mind up. its a long video, but you get the ‘jist’ that food is vital to us all throughout history. Without it we starve. the alternative is become more efficient, not less…

The results of a perverse incentive scheme are also sometimes called cobra effects, where people are incentivized to make a problem worse. This name was coined by economist Horst Siebert based on an anecdote taken from the British Raj.[2][3] The British government, concerned about the number of venomous cobras in Delhi, offered a bounty for every dead cobra. Initially, this was a successful strategy; large numbers of snakes were killed for the reward. Eventually, however, people began to breed cobras for the income. When the government became aware of this, the reward program was scrapped. The cobra breeders set their snakes free, leading to an overall increase in the wild cobra population.[4][5]

Real reporting on the economy as a result of Wrecker Reeves’ budget…van sales plunge and company cars being returned in record numbers…not BBC obviously….

‘New van sales have been declining in recent months, with April 2025 seeing the fifth consecutive month of a year-on-year drop. The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) reported a 14.9% decline in new LCV registrations, leading to the weakest April performance since 2020. The decline was particularly pronounced in large vans, with registrations falling by 22.9%’

‘Record returns of company cars through redundancy blamed on Chancellor ‘
‘Record levels of returned vehicles from staff, who have been made redundant, are being blamed on the Chancellor.

Chancellor Rachel Reeves increased employer’s national insurance contributions (NICs) from 13.8% to 15% in her Autumn Budget, reduced the NIC threshold from £9,100 to £5,000 and increased the minimum wage, all with affect from last month (April).

“The pigeons are clearly coming home to roost,” said Andrew Leech, founder of Tamworth-based Fleet Evolution and head of Mercia Fleet Management.

“Following on from Rachel Reeves’ misguided first Budget, which she said would not affect ‘working people’, we have seen record levels of returned vehicles due to redundancies of working people.”’

The BBC seems more concerned about factories in China effected by Trump’s tariffs than factories here under threat due to Reeves’ budget…but hey….good news….

‘The UK economy is forecast to grow slightly more than previously expected in 2025, but the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has warned that the Chancellor must stick to her rules on tax and spending.

In its annual health-check for the economy, the IMF predicted growth of 1.2% this year, rising to 1.4% in 2026.

It said an economic recovery was “under way” after a boost in the first three months of the year.’

    Buuuut…yeah…no..we can trust the IMF….

‘The forecast from the influential body comes just over a month after it downgraded its expectations for the UK from 1.6% in 2025 to 1.1%.’

The Zulus basically stole South Africa…and we took it from them.

I believe the scientific fact is that 235,900 years ago Y-chromosomal Adam was born Black in Africa. Those Blacks who left Africa evolved and replaced other species and evolved white skin in cold environments. Others did not evolve and stayed Black in hot environments. Brains in cold environments can generate more heat than in hot environments without needing to cool, allowing for higher IQ. This was the reason for what is called the “Re-Wiring”. The frontal area of the brain becomes taller as those in cooler areas needed to plan six months ahead in autumn, so as to store food to survive the winter without the temptation to eat it earlier than planned. The idiots who eat earlier than planned died off, increasing the IQ of the surviving Whites. 12,000 years ago the Younger Dryas killed off the darker skinned low IQ people outside of Africa except for the aboriginal nearer the equator. These Whites, Indo-Europeans or Caucasians then moved back to warm environments and created civilisations. The increase in IQ of the survivors of the Younger Dryas event produced the Neolithic Revolution in agriculture and civilisation. These Caucasian people moved into the Middle East, North Africa and India, while the surviving Blacks assimilated or were enslaved, but many Blacks remained isolated and uncivilised until European colonisation.

We are now living in an age where the divide in society is causing real hate between Left and Right.

I’ve been watching it happen for years now. It goes like this : the Left impose some new rule based on their own politicial ideology and the Right don’t like it. So they speak out. And the Left then attack them for being devisive.

And they do it with the kind of language which causes REAL hatred : for example, Biden said: ‘MAGA is the ‘most extreme political organization’ in recent U.S. history.

He basically labelled anyone who supports Trump as an extremeist. Also TTK branded anyone who protested about Southport as ‘Far-Right’. And has not apologised when the investigation proved him 100% wrong.

The end result is that weaker-minded people are driven off the edge. They’ve tried to assasinate several right-wing leaders now – including Trump twice. That in turn upsets more people on the Right. We are being whipped up into a frenzy to hate Russia now when in fact the responsibility for the complete mess in Ukraine lies with Biden and the EU (and us).

And the BBC are right on-board as one of the main group spreading Left-Wing lies and propaganda. But they play the long game : infer something here, make the Right look bad by not telling us why they did something there and eventually you arrive where we are now with society broken right down the middle. Anything is possible from this point – including civil war.

Not taking away any credit from the likes of The Guardian, CNN, MSN and ABC of course. I’ve seen some shocking hate-filled articles on there against the Right.

Gaza has smashed every record the BBC ever held for lies by omission. What worries me most is how they are allowed to get away with it. Nobody asks the questions which matter – such as ‘Why do Israel bomb hospitals ?’ or – recently – ‘where is all the aid they got during the ceasefire ?’. It shows me the Nazi rot has spread throughout the media and establishment. I wonder how many are the Nazis and how many dare not speak out for fear of being ruined.

Dozens injured by Israeli gunfire as crowds overwhelmed Gaza aid site, UN says
    https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/clyz4mzww1ro

I’ve been following this for a few days because when I first saw the story about this because it struck me as huge : it basically states that the UN are so corrupt with regard to aid and Hamas that they cannot be trusted.

This should have been front page news and the catalyst for complete reform of the UN. There should be uprorar at what this publicly funded group has become. The pressure on them from the MSM should be immense and whoever is in charge should have the honour to resign.
But I also thought that when we learned how Hamas are fighting from UN hospitals, schools and refugee centres. I have been somewhat stunned that the BBC never ever dwell on those facts. They always just put in in quotes as something Israel said and is probably not true.

So here we have some aid into Gaza which is guaranteed corruption-free and what do the BBC have to say about it ?.

They quote the people responsible for this mess in the first place:
‘The UN and many aid groups have refused to co-operate with GHF’s plans, which they say contradict humanitarian principles and appear to “weaponise aid”.’
It seems the ‘fundamental humanitarian principles’ are that people collecting aid must show ID to prove they are not members of Hamas.

So here we have an aid group which Hama s certainly don’t want and SHOULD be extremely embarassing for the UN. The next thing we suddenly get violence at these sites with no explanation of what actually happened. Would these poor-but-good innocent civilians the BBC keep telling us about do such a thing ?. Not without some members of Hamas in there I’m sure. They want to get back to where the UN ‘give’ the aid to them.

    And we get:
‘The US and Israeli governments have said it is preventing aid from being stolen by Hamas, which the armed group denies doing.’
Hamas are terrorists FFS. What are the BBC doing giving them equivalence to the US and Israeli governments ?. There is PLENTY of evidence that Hamas are doing it – but the BBC ignore it.

And of course STILL no mention of how much aid was sent in during the ceasefire or any quesations about where it has all gone from the BBC.

We MUST rid ourselves of this cancer which is the BBC. It is trying hard to destroy everything and everyone it disagrees with to create their global extreme-Left utopia. Which history has taught us inevitably ends up with them trying to remove everyone who does not share their ideology with prisons, then camps and finally firing squads.

Hey, BBC, let me fix that headline for you:

‘Planning change to make millions for heat pump installers and energy companies’.

Although the engineering behind a heat pump is not particularly complicated (think of a refrigerator operating in reverse), the supply and installation costs are around three times that of a normal combi boiler. They are set artificially high so as to get the corporates on board with increased profits, as with all green initiatives. The only thing ‘green’ about this scam is the colour of US dollars.

I had a new gas boiler fitted in January – and by the conversation with the installer I got in with only a few years to spare! It seems gas boilers won’t be installed after 2030. I care less as I’m walking down the lane to oblivion – i only wish my old boiler could have seen me out and saved me 5 grand but hey ho.

The sovietisation of our economy and society continues apace as government directives aim to force people to buy what the government wants you to buy and planning laws are thrown out of the window in a freeforall once again designed to further government policy and remarkably the BBC has very little to say about it critically-wise.

Car industry in freefall? Not much to see here apparently….there’s nary a mention of why….just some anodyne comment such as this way way down the page…you have to wade through a lot of waffle before getting anywhere near the truth…

‘The government’s change in policy over encouraging more manufacturing of EVs had also made planning more difficult for carmakers’

A sentence that couldn’t be better designed to downplay the issue and divert attention…..do like that ‘encourage’ rather than ‘Stalinist 5 year plan type diktat in order to further nut zero’.

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/ckgrydlqqn8o

Then there’s planning laws to allow you to stick a heat pump up against your neighbours house…but in the BBC report it’s all fantastic and designed merely to ‘make things easier’…lovely.

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c3e5plqke3no

And then there’s reservoirs….two new ones to be rammed through….but again barely a mention of why….such as 9 million more people in the country since the last one was built…we get this less than informative comment that glides over the huge issues mass migration and open borders brings with it to infrastructure and not least society itself]…

‘Household consumption of water may also need to fall to secure supplies amid rising temperatures and a growing population, scientists warn.’

Must be great for a government to have the national broadcaster smoothing the way for controversial and highly damaging policies.

The Government are taking over our properties. The Government will allow neighbours to install a noise pollution machine more or less on your property whether you like it or not.

It wouldn’t be so bad but heat pumps are expensive to install, power and run, are ineffective in cold weather and noisy. There isn’t enough power available on the grid should we all change over.

Are we going to reach the stage where a normal boiler ceases to be an option?

There was a time, in days of yore – when the heroes and spokesmen of the left tended to be those beared, bespectacled, professorial, intellectuals – the likes of the Miliband’s old dad – Ralph

He may perhaps have hated Britain, despite us taking him in as a refugee from Belgium in 1940 – at a time when opposite our shores just across the Channel things really were bona fide rather war-torn and politically repressive.

Ed Miliband furious over Daily Mail’s claim that his father hated Britain (Guardian, 2013)

Nevertheless: He has been described as “one of the best known academic Marxists of his generation”, in this manner being compared with E. P. Thompson, Eric Hobsbawm and Perry Anderson. – thank you Wiki : Full citation: Blackledge, Paul (4 January 2011). “Labourism and socialism: Ralph Miliband’s Marxism”. International Socialism. No. 129. Socialist Workers Party.

I think one only has to look at the sprogs David and Ed to notice in microcosm a generational dumbing down of the left.

And if one were still in doubt…

Meet Britain’s Joe Rogan… Gary Lineker could be the most influential liberal commentator in the nation’s history. (The New Statesman)

Imagine Gary Lineker in 2029… Silver hair still silver. Smile still winning. Banter appropriately pitched to a broad national audience. Anecdotes about Gazza, not Gaza, still doing the business. A podcast mogul today, by 2029 Gary Lineker could be Britain’s Joe Rogan. The Guardian’s media editor, Michael Savage, suggested last week that Lineker’s next move might see him eschew a traditional broadcasting rival, and instead opt for the hyper-modern streaming model. (Finn McRedmond there in The New Statesman) – getting all warm in his (metaphorically) borrowed Leicester City footie shorts over the prospect of sugar-coated Marxism broadcast to the masses not in the old format of dusty academic tomes or indeed by a failing licence fee funded national broadcaster – but by a goal-hanging eye-for-the-main-chance well-funded live streaming jug-eared lightly-salted former chrisp salesman

Why wouldn’t, say, Keir Starmer appear on The Gary Lineker Experience in four years time? The beleaguered Prime Minister would be aware that a three-hour sit-down endorsement from the genial Lineker is crucial to shoring up his voter base among the urbane, normie, mid-bourgeois, podcast-addled voter he might otherwise lose to the Greens or the Lib Dems.

Some rather overly frank classification of the Labour voter base there. At least he didn’t say “mid-wit”

In the wake of Lineker’s departure from the BBC – reposting an anti-Semitic trope on Instagram, even inadvertently as the presenter claims, was, finally, a step too far for the corporation – a trope our Ralph, would certainly have recognised – whose father Samuel Miliband (1895–1966) was a member of the socialist Jewish Labour Bund in Warsaw and who abandoned the name Adolphe due to its connection with that infamous German.

…for years he has straddled the demands of the BBC (“impartiality”) with the media realities of 2025… With this in mind, he could emerge as an ever more taste-shaping cultural figure. He has already demonstrated a preternatural talent for working out what millions of British people find entertaining, informative and delightful. – that’ll be the football – more so than the Marxism.

Gordon Brown made the first major attack on pensions in the modern era. Pensions are necessary as a tax free savings vehicle, if income tax was generally lower then the complexity of pensions would be unnecessary. People would just pay tax on all their income, and they would be free to save and invest as they see fit.

If I was offered a free heat pump installation complete with all the radiators (as many of our radiators are not the right radiators) I would turn it down.

I don’t want a clanking humming eyesore outside my bedroom window or wherever which isn’t as good as my current boiler system no matter what the incentives are.

I also don’t see the attraction of electric cars and wouldn’t want one anywhere near me charging overnight.

    • MarkyMark says:

I did not know this …. “While heat pumps can work with existing radiators, they often require larger radiators or adjustments to existing ones to ensure optimal efficiency, especially when retrofitting. Heat pumps typically operate at lower flow temperatures than traditional boilers, requiring more radiator surface area to achieve the same heat output. “
