He must think he dressed appropriately, as head of a multi-billion pound organisation, for his meeting with a national leader. So, again, out came the scruffy jacket, crumpled open-neck shirt, jeans and ridiculous white trainers. It is his uniform now, barely seen not wearing that ensemble.

My bin men dress better than he does. What a slob he is.

Boy, 10, ‘beaten to death’ by his own headmaster during assembly in front of entire school over ‘minor issue’
        —————————————————-
A ten-year-old Pakistani schoolboy has died after he was brutally beaten with a rod by his headmaster over a ‘minor issue’.

The heartbreaking incident took place at a private school in the Khyber district in northern Pakistan on Friday during a school assembly.
Khyalmat Khan was critically injured and taken to hospital where he later died, according to local media.

Headmaster Waqar Ahmed used a stick to hit the young student on the head, neck, face, and back, police said.

Mr Ahmed was arrested and remains in police custody.

Khyber District Police Officer Rai Mazhar Iqbal condemned the violent attack.

I just read today that Ed Miliband is putting gas prices up by 15% as a proposal to persuade us all to ditch gas and buy heat pimps to keep warm. this by the way is on top of the ‘Boiler tax’. All of this is BBC approved a long time ago that it will surely save the planet, but probably not planet Earth.. Gas prices are actually coming down globally but here in the UK they are set to rise, even though we have our own Coal and Gas and Oil, we don’t use them. We import it all at HIGH cost – as we are to stupid to make it ourselves in the UK.

I have just watched this video and if you have the time it will explain why the net zero project will fail even as more an more money is pumped into it. And this lady is an expert in her field; Kathryn Porter.

And something we shall never learn from the BBC is that we have already ‘ Spent £220 Billion on Decarbonisation and Saw Zero Financial Benefit’ – a fact for BBC Verify to check and stuff in their pipe.

And finally we are all assured we shall have BLACKOUTS, under Miliband it is assured, that and the highest costs in the world are here to stay at the same time as we rely on Chinese made Windmills and Solar panels. Lifespan less than 25 years, not recyclable or sustainable and an ecological disaster is happening. Its all in the video. Not something the BBC would concede as fact… BBC not being very good at actually fact checking Miliband cheap and free power claims. CO2 is also not Toxic but I’ll save that for another day!

‘Within hours, thousands had spurred into protest, especially young women.’

‘And yet, with the country set to elect a new president on 3 June, those very women say they feel invisible again.’

Or at least the feminist activists the BBC spoke to do.

I kid you not : this is the top story in the world today according to the BBC. It is a whopping 2,500 words long but does not say anything much at all. It’s 100% feminist claptrap.

Did Yvette think of it herself or did a BBC boss instruct her on what it had to say then left it to her to write a story around it ?.

Our BBC do so love to promote news of certain record breaking phenomena…

UK sees its hottest day of the year so far (BBC, 4th April 2025)
UK hits highest temperature of the year as pollen levels high for many (BBC, 12th April 2025)
Warmest day of year as UK temperature hits 24.9C (BBC, 29th April 2025)
Temperatures rise for last day of record breaking spring (BBC, 30th May 2025)

Perhaps the obsessive metaphorical brandishing of a calendar in one hand and a thermometer in the other over there at Broadcasting House W1A is the legacy of Roy Castle and the McWhirter twins?

Record Breakers was a British children’s TV show, themed around world records and produced by the BBC. It was broadcast on BBC1 from 15 December 1972 to 21 December 2001. The programme was a spin-off series from Blue Peter which had featured record breaking attempts overseen by the McWhirter twins… Guinness World Records founders – thank you Wiki.

If you’re the tallest, the smallest, if you beat them all,
If you’re the fattest, the thinnest, if you always win,
If you’re the fastest, the slowest, if you really go,
Then you’re a record breaker, a record maker,
    you’re a record breaker!

‘If you’re the fattest, the thinnest’ ? You wouldn’t get that on the BBC these days. It was a different time, as they say.

But if you like that sort of thing, BBC, then how’s them onions…?

1,000 migrants crossed the Channel in a single day – the largest influx this year… PM has ‘lost control’ of borders (The Sunday Telegraph)

Don’t hold your breath for a ‘hold the frontpage’ call from the BBC news team for that record.

We’ve somewhat of a face-off between the political cartoonists this morning. The form book says our mate Matt in the Telegraph beats the left-leaning Newman in the Times by a country mile. But it’s a close run thing today as Matt lampoons the Uniparty and takes a snide side swipe at the soft target that is the Ed Davey party: “Reform is taking voters from Labour and Conservatives. If Farage starts falling off paddleboards we’re in trouble”

Meanwhile, if photo finishes involved the likes of court room sketch artists, Newman on the cover of the Sunday Times might edge it by a nose. He draws a bedridden hospital patient clutching a newspaper headlined ‘BMA Strike ballot’ telling his doctor: “You’ll be out in no time”

The BBC’s very own Laura K suddenly goes all conspiratorial in tone: Will Starmer’s military review match the threats we’re told we face?told we face, Ms Kuenssberg?

You mean: …efforts to keep Russia’s Vladimir Putin at bay… – might not be the absolute top most pressing priority apropos to our safety and wellbeing here in the UK? Shame on you, Laura. Take off that tinfoil hat and get with the programme…

Defence review to send ‘message to Moscow’ – Healey… We will invest £6bn in security says defence secretary… “readiness to fight if required” (Laura Kuenssberg, Political editor, BBC & Alys Davies, BBC News) – that’s more like it. Ah, but there’s that rather loose application of the term ‘invest’ to which we’ve become so accumstomed – when it pertains to just any public sector expenditure of taxpayer cash spunked about on just about anything bringing a return on the investment or not.

Jarrod Bowen and Dani Dyer wed yesterday (Sunday Mirror)

And for our left-leaning media the British news outlook is pretty dire: Mother’s plea for curbs on released killers (Times); Hermer under pressure to quit over Lucy Connolly presecution (Telegraph); British dad ‘spying for China’ seized in FBI sting… referred to Chinese leader Xi Jinping as “The Boss” (Mail on Sunday); ‘Arm jail staff to stop Islamist attacks’ (Sunday Express)

Shock finding of waste probe… £762m Tory PPE failure… Crisis Pandemic PM Boris… Taxpayer cash wasted after Boris officials failed to check gear… Exclusive by Lizzy Buchan Political Editor (Sunday Mirror)

I’ve a notion that a none too subtle hit job on Boris based on a reminder of the Lockdown era is a misstep. For one, the Boris brand is a terminally busted flush for both true conservatives and squidgy liberal-minded centrists alike. There’s no coming back Cincinnatus-like for Bojo no matter how desperate the Tories become. Ask Mary Beard or indeed Boris himself to explain that classical reference.

As for the reminder of the Lockdown era – do we really reckon people want to be reminded about how they were taken as fools and in particular does the left reckon their Sir Keir “Sooner, Harder, Longer” Starmer came out of all that any more trustworthy looking than Boris?

        According to Grok

The Independent newspaper has been profitable since transitioning to a digital-only format in March 2016. It has reported consistent profitability for several years, with notable financial achievements:
2023: The Independent recorded an operating profit of £3.5 million for a 15-month reporting period, an 82% increase from £1.9 million in 2022 (12-month period), despite flat revenue of £46.1 million. Revenue was projected to grow to £53.2 million in 2024, with trading profitability expected to reach £4.5 million, nearly double the £2.3 million in 2019.

2022: The company reported a pre-tax profit of £1.9 million, down 66% from the previous year due to editorial investments and a decline in the digital advertising market. It also paid out £5 million in dividends to investors.

2020: The Independent announced a 9% jump in annual turnover to £27 million, with profits of £2.3 million, surpassing the profitability of Telegraph Media Group (£900,000 in 2018).

2019 and earlier: The Independent has been profitable every year since going digital-only, marking its seventh consecutive year of profit by 2023.

The shift to digital has allowed The Independent to reduce costs associated with print, such as printing presses, while diversifying revenue through advertising (43% of total revenue in 2023), content licensing, syndication, e-commerce, and premium subscriptions (Independent Premium). Investments in areas like Independent TV, U.S. expansion, and AI have also contributed to its financial success, with non-advertising revenue making up 57% of total revenue in 2022.

Despite challenges like a declining digital ad market and economic pressures, The Independent’s strategic focus on global expansion, particularly in the U.S., and its diversified revenue streams have sustained its profitability.

In 2023, The Independent’s subscription revenue, primarily from its Independent Premium offering, accounted for approximately 10% of its total revenue. This figure is derived from reports indicating that non-advertising revenue, which includes subscriptions, content licensing, syndication, and e-commerce, made up 57% of total revenue, with subscriptions being a smaller but growing component compared to other non-advertising streams. Advertising contributed 43% of the £46.1 million total revenue, leaving non-advertising sources, including subscriptions, to cover the remaining 57%. While precise breakdowns within non-advertising revenue are not explicitly detailed, subscriptions are estimated to represent around one-fifth of that portion, equating to roughly 10% of overall income.

The Independent’s subscription revenue is not publicly audited by a third-party organization like the Alliance for Audited Media (AAM) or the UK’s Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC). Unlike some major U.S. newspapers (e.g., The New York Times or The Wall Street Journal), which report digital subscription numbers through AAM, The Independent does not appear to participate in public digital circulation audits.

The company does share some subscription-related figures in its financial reports and press releases, such as the £2 million in subscription revenue reported for 2020, representing about 4% of total revenue. However, these figures are not independently verified through a public auditing process, and no specific mention of public audits for digital subscriptions is found in available data. In contrast, UK newspapers like The Financial Times and The Telegraph, which report print and digital circulation, often include some level of ABC auditing, but The Independent, as a digital-only outlet, does not follow this practice for its subscription numbers.
The lack of public auditing aligns with industry trends noted in reports, where many digital publishers, including The Independent, do not submit digital subscription data for third-party verification due to the focus on impressions-based digital advertising rather than raw subscription counts. This makes precise, audited subscription data less critical for advertisers compared to print circulation historically.

So, not keen to volunteer their readership numbers….

Got this from somewhere or other…

“The digital Independent has a monthly audience of 19.6 million readers as of November 2024. This number makes it the UK’s largest quality digital news brand. The publication has also become the biggest UK-born news publisher in the US.
          Here’s a more detailed breakdown:
November 2024: 19.6 million monthly audience.
October 2024: The Independent reached 19.4 million readers, overtaking Mail Online and The Sun.
US: The Independent has 35.6 million unique visitors and a 112% increase in reader engagement in the US.
UK: The Independent is the largest quality digital news brand in the UK. ”

He’ll certainly prolong the BBC’s ‘charter’ indefinitely with his nasty, devious clauses similar to those he shoved in his loser’s bill with the EU, and Reform will have a real problem unravelling all that, with no help from the civil service.

Luckily, the red-labour presence in the HoC will be so small as to be totally irrelevant, but the damage will have been done. There will be a myriad of foreigners though, representing various non-British religions in positions of power, to continue the destruction of our country.

Just like the drones they launched at an operating civilian airport: this is not an act of war, it is an act of terrorism by Ukraine.

But it’s fine with the BBC. Only Putin is the terrorist – and even when they claim he is, he isn’t. So they just quote the comedian saying he is. That way they can print anything at all. It’s a new trick they discovered which they have found they can get away with anything – and now it’s the main tool in their box. And if nobody says the right words, the BBC just make them up themselves. Nobody can prove it’s fake.

I think of the exponential development of arcane “Stasi” legislation here in the UK as dicing and slicing the indigenous British population. No way to turn, unavoidable. A continuous axe getting bigger and sharper now held over the peoples’ neck. Where from? The Home Office of course.

We already have the Online Safety Act (“OSA”) really designed, inter alia, to smother free speech by those promoting same online. But, hang-on, there is of course two parties to this. The broadcaster and the viewer. Whilst the OSA will eventually eliminate broadcasters spreading the truth, what will happen to the viewer of this material. Hey-presto, the UK Stasi have developed a bill to tackle the viewer of such content. It is currently called, “The Crime & Policing Bill” which is winding its way around the legislative process.

Daniel Shensmith, a practising Barrister outlines the Bill’s relevant provisions.

The upshot? Seems an ideal way to dispose of two birds with one stone: Clobber the broadcaster of truth along with, potentially, the viewer. So for this ‘Biased BBC’ haven of communication, could this herald the end?

The BBC must have reported it somewhere….I just can’t see it….as 1,200 chancers invade our shores in one day…not a peep from the state broadcaster on the website despite this…surely an emergency…..

‘Britain has lost control of its borders, admits Defence Secretary’
‘Nearly 1,200 migrants cross the Channel in 24 hours in ‘day of shame for Labour’

The Defence Secretary has admitted Britain has “lost control of its borders” after nearly 1,200 migrants crossed the Channel in a single day.

John Healey described the scenes on Saturday as “shocking”, saying people smugglers were able to load small boats on French shores “like a taxi”.’

As Labour boasts about boosting our defence budget all it seems Putin has to do is send a load of fighting age men across the Channel in rubber boats and they’re in…no shots fired.

Some might ask which is worse….Putin’s squaddies or those who bring an ideology that is totally opposed to our beliefs and values and an attitude that hates Britain…apart from the freebies….which of course will soon run out due to number and as the system that produced them is destroyed by the incomers and their new way of life?

Putin doesn’t need to invade as the West destroys itself….he just has to wait.

He’d best not wait too long otherwise he’ll find a country that is populated by Muslims but owned by the Arabs and the Chinese. That should be fun.

    PARIS IN THE SPRINGTIME……..

I’m sure it’s just me, I don’t watch complete BBC programmes but I do tune in to catch the news headlines, that way I can monitor what they choose to push as part of their agenda.

I struggled to find any mention of last week’s FREXIT protest in Paris with its crowds chanting “death to the EU” and the tearing up of the EU flag, it seemed to be well attended but is not seemingly important ….just uneducated idiots who cannot see the benefits of being ruled by the unelected Ursula von der wotsit and her committee.

Similarly the fact that an element in Paris was back out on the streets last night celebrating a football result in a traditional way , setting fire to cars ,etc, and yet only two deaths , so all very moderate and half hearted really. Good job their team didn’t loose.

The highlights and a thorough coverage is on YouTube and elsewhere..but barely a mention on the BBC. I’m sure they have more than one correspondent in France, …Pourquoi?

I see the BBC are replacing the gay, black Dr Who because of the record low ratings.

With Billy Piper. His female ex-assistant.

One does wonder just how extreme and ridiculous the BBC can get before someone actually does something about it. They are out of control now.

No doubt she will create her own record low ratings. But the program will continue because it is their flagship vehicle to program young people with their agenda. And the ‘unique way the BBC are funded’ means they don’t have to care about ratings. They get the same money even if nobody watches it.

Hey @bbcnews – Did you bother to ask your witness doctor how she treated all these people for gunshot wounds when your headline says they were hit by tank fire?
What a disgrace you’ve become. Rushing to spread Hamas lies as quickly as you can – even when they dont make sense.

Golly; it’s not like JezBo has not got experience with tank fire.

Once again the BBC puts up a highly contentious headline as almost fact….

’31 dead after Israeli forces attack near Gaza aid centre, says Hamas-run health ministry’

Israel denies it, as does the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation which is run by Israel and the US and released a video showing no casualties…the aid site supposedly targeted was actually run by the GHF….so?

The claims by Hamas are as always completely unsubstantiated and yet the BBC broadcasts them to the world in a way that is designed to turn legend into ‘fact’ before the facts are established reliably.

I somehow doubt the BBC will run another ‘Balen Report’ into their [anti] Israel reporting as it is clearly now worse than it ever was 20 years ago. The Balen Report remains hidden away from view and scrutiny….you have to ask why if, as so many at the BBC claim, its findings are entirely innocuous and found the BBC without bias. What are they hiding? Not as if we can’t see it in plain sight everyday for ourselves though.

TTK is supposedly looking around for anywhere except Rwanda to park some of the tens of thousands of dinghy boys but isn’t having any success. Perhaps his heart’s not in it and he’s just going through the motions.

It’s a pity we don’t have anywhere such as the Chagos Islands which would be the ideal place to put them and would be a great deterrent.
I think they belong to Mauritius (read China) so could we not pay them to take some dinghy boys similar to the Rwanda deal.

So let me get this right. The RNLI puts to sea because the boat people are in danger? Yet the French police watch them set out to sea, putting themselves in danger (as defined before), but do nothing about it? They could simply pierce the rubber hulls of the boats, hence potentially saving lives and earning that £54 million they get off us.
