Start the Week 9th June 2025

This week sees a Labour Regime ‘ spending review ( on Wednesday the 11th ). Is this ‘spending review ‘ also a ‘fiscal event ‘ ?- the term used by Starmer and Rachel ? And is a ‘fiscal event ‘ the same as a ‘budget ‘? Whatever … anyway – we might get an early ‘steer ‘ about BBC funding .. as well as who will get the now non universal ‘winter fuel allowance ‘ and other increases in government borrowing to fund public sector indexed pensions and lots of welfare …

I thought I would have a watch of the new show “Shardlake” last night. It sounded good, a detective show set in Tudor England, with Sean Bean playing a suspiciously Sheffield sounding Thomas Cromwell.

The total liability of unfunded public sector pension schemes is indeed valued at a staggering £1.3 trillion. This figure represents the future cost of paying pensions to current and former public sector employees, like teachers, NHS staff, and civil servants. These pensions are considered “unfunded” because contributions from these workers are not invested in a separate fund to cover future pension payouts. ”

Most public sector pension schemes operate on a “pay-as-you-go” or unfunded basis. This means contributions are used directly to pay current pensioners, rather than being invested for future payouts.

    ………..

    https://www.if.org.uk/research-posts/can-the-uk-afford-to-pay-pensions/
75% of the economic experts said they did not think the public sector pension liabilities would end up being paid in full, and almost 50% said that they thought the state pension would become means-tested before 2040 – suggest that policy-makers have not yet reformed pensions sufficiently to make them sustainable, and a crisis is looming that will have a major impact on future generations.

We keep hearing from those in charge that the ‘far right’ are at least the same threat as the usual lot.
They come out with lots of ‘foiled plots’ or other stuff they’ve prevented (but only far right plots)

Has anybody ever seen an actual list comparing the far right terrorist and the usual lot with what has actually been done.

For example, how many bombings have taken place and how many were caused by the two groups counted separately.
How many deaths are caused by one group compared to the other.

I’ve heard of loads of bombings and deaths (such as killing children at pop concerts) being done by the usual lot but I’ve never heard of any bombings, mass shootings, street decapitations and people in hiding for dropping a book on the floor when talking about the ‘far right’.

Perhaps they are comparing the ‘threats’ they say they’ve prevented.
If somebody was eating smoky bacon crisps within a mile of a mosk is that a right wing terrorist act (prevented by the police confiscating the offending crisps) or if somebody gets told off for dropping a fag end on the street where a mosk is within a mile away is he written down in the stats as trying to set fire to it.

Somebody like Matt Goodwin could collect a list of the offences committed and prevented by these two groups and present then on a chart on his show so we can see the actual l truth instead of those in charge coming out with their what I believe is complete rubbish.

Example I was in a room with about 500 others and Tony Blair gave a speech . He promised nothing . At the end 499 pelorus stood up and gave him a standing ovation . I looked up from my seat and asked them ‘why ?”

But with TTK – I really cannot think of one positive talent he has – even with the coloured girl leading the dead blue lot and mucks up PMQs every week – he doesn’t crush her the way she deserves …

The basic means testing and establishment of entitlement will provide opportunities for the Government to pry into one’s private affairs. There will be all sorts of complex situations to be resolved for many households, one can always rely on Labour to bugger things up.

1985 …. Ahmadis suffer vicious persecution around the world. The main source of fuel for that persecution is in Pakistan, but what happens in Pakistan does not stay in Pakistan.

I know that from my experience in the Yorkshire market town of Batley. In August 1985, when I was 11 years old, my parents organised an inter-faith meeting in the town hall. It was interrupted and disturbed when, according to West Yorkshire police,

more than 1,000 extremists, led by Pakistani hate preachers funded by the Pakistani state, were bused in from around the country.

The mob brutally attacked my English mother and my father, a dermatologist; my eldest brother and I; and a Welsh Ahmadi schoolteacher who was with us. My first cousin, a GP, was by chance driving through the market town that day. He saw the mob and saw his family and friends being attacked, so he stopped. He was recognised, pulled from his vehicle and savagely beaten up.

As I turned to google, I was directed to Birmingham Live (I don’t live anywhere near Birmingham).

If this doesn’t make sense it is because it didn’t make sense to me. Apparently the Met Office is warning people to make sure their car fuel tanks are kept full because the coming heatwave means that cars will lose up to 1% due to evaporation. Perhaps some engineer could explain.

The article raised the concern of the coming heatwave which will cause it. Temperatures are predicted to rise to a ‘dangerous’ (my words not the Met Offices) of 24 Celsius to 27 degrees Celsius. The predicted temperatures are the Met Office’s. 24 is 75 degrees Fahrenheit (in warm weather I work better in Fahrenheit). Whichever scale anyone chooses to use 24C or 75F is just a pleasant warmth.

Although the telegraph is pay walled – if you look at the ‘front page ‘ now 830pm UK time – you’ll see how loopy times have become … even with one Emir ‘knighting ‘ another one for services to Islam …..

BBC is loosing some of its outstanding DEI presenters for all the usual reasons that the BBC likes to employ.

    This week we learn:

    1. The new Dr Who wants out for reasons not disclosed. but it could all be linked to awfull stories, bad acting and falling audience figures. Then Disney pulled out of funding any more episodes.

    2. Nick Kyrgios no longer part of BBC’s Wimbledon coverage. In February 2023, Kyrgios admitted assaulting an ex-girlfriend but a magistrate in Canberra, Australia, called the incident “a single act of stupidity or frustration” when sparing him a criminal record. The BBC defended its position at the time, saying in a statement: “We are in no way condoning his cited previous actions or behaviours, on and off the court, and he is employed to share his views on tennis only….(really?)

    3. Bargain Hunt art dealer charged with terror offences. Ogheneochuko Ojiri is a regular guest on the BBC show and has also appeared on Antiques Road Trip. probably won’t be welcomed back, but heh! – this is the BBC and we try not to be too judgemental on the exact number of offences (eight in total).

    4. And of course the BBC would not be the BBC if it was not entirely FOR the cross dressing Trans folk that inhabit its inner corridors of power. Until a Supreme Court stopped it!! But no! Like the NHS it clings on to its embers on BBC Radio 4 Woman’s hour… Anti Rani declares her Radio 4 listeners are all Transphobes!Of course Aniti Rani is lucky to have the job as providing the ‘impartiality’ of the LGTQZXZ movement. She was a former presenter on the BBC shows; Countryfile, Strictly Come Dancing, Watchdog! She is divorced -as you would expect from reality. Another BBC trained Radio ‘ Television Presenter.’ Potential to become the next ‘Dr Who’ if she plays her cards right and becomes trans. Its a BBC thing…. no questions asked.

Really – given the choice, who would want to work for the BBC? unless your a bit wierd in the head… or desperate.

Mail carries the murder trial where the victim – lady – took in a ‘homeless man ‘ who then allegedly killed her with a hammer a few days later –
You have to search for the name …. Apapale Adoum, 39.

No further comment needed – I don’t want to ‘prejudice ‘ the TTK trial …

    Iran expands dog-walking ban

Dog ownership has been frowned upon in Iran since the 1979 Islamic Revolution, with dogs viewed as “unclean” by authorities and a legacy of Western cultural influence.

    Meanwhile

In an equally absurd presumption, she also said Brussels will legislate the times of sunrise and sunset

The oil price cap limits the price at which a country, like Russia, can sell its oil in global markets when using Western services – something that as far as I understand it isn’t happening much anyway at the moment – as in – the Indian resales game (and others)

Lovely evening here in NI, rather pleasant sunset, clear skies, if you ignore the cloud of black smoke over our town centre as wheelie bins and a car are torched and sirens blare.

My daughter tells me that a Tiktok live feed of further unrest in Ballymena this evening has had 1.5 million likes. Must be a lot of water cannon fans out there as it has been rolled out by the PSNI, suppose it’s probably a bit early for the baton rounds tonight.

As long as our ‘ethnic minority communities’ feel safe eh? How is it that one community, established, settled, reasonably cohesive and civilised can suddenly become so many seperate and disparate and conflicting communities?

Let’s pretend the three attempted rapes of local teenage girls in recent months by members of these ‘communities’ never happened, it’s our racism and bigotry that’s the real problem it seems.
