“Plans to help benefits recipients into work ‘a mess’, say DWP officials”

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c9w1p44vzleo

“As part of the U-turn on welfare reforms, ministers are expected to fast-track a ÂŁ1bn support plan to get people into work, which was originally scheduled for 2029.
Ministers have argued that intensive job support will help those unemployed and has set aside ÂŁ1bn to help those in need.”

In simple terms, they can’t touch the disabled and fake disabled, so they’re attacking the weakest group again – the actual job seekers.
Handling a cool billion to the usual multi national providers like Serco, to run useless employability courses and harrass the claimants.
Inevitable result : they drive the unemployed into claiming disability benefits instead, removing themselves from finding any employment for years or ever.

The two baggers will be happy.

I am not referring to the labour front benches (you need one bag for them and one bag for yourself in case theirs falls off).

No I refer to a new ruling by the EHew that may affect passengers on flights with companies such as Ryan Air and others who will now be able to take two carry-on bags onto the aeroplane without additional fees.

Just speculating that this may be because wimmin are unable to accept that the one bag ruling means: only one bag, and not their handbags as well.

Or you believe, like the elite class, that the true source of power, authority, and legitimacy lies with elites and this relationship runs horizontally, from one group of elites in Davos, to another in Westminster, to another in Washington, to another in Brussels, and so on, excluding the people entirely.”

I’m not sure whether there’s a dividing line between wars being deliberately started by ‘money’, or ‘religion’, but both issues finish up with bloodshed, hatred and destruction.

Perhaps they’re linked, or are they even more embedded than the majority of the population understand?

Unfortunately, state broadcasters like the far-left BBC will never debate the issue, so it is left to the ‘alternative’ media to explain the problem!

Fedup, following up on the last thread, Starmer and Reeves are finished, and, before the year end. They have not got a clue what they are doing economically and over the coming months the depths of the problems will become apparent. The ‘Liz Truss’ bund metric says that Reeves is more incompetent than Truss, but that does not sit with the bBC narrative – the usual bias by omission.

Non – im not so sure ..( for the record I’d prefer the Marxists not to exist ) . I few people have suggested the crunch – leading to a visit to the IMF – will come in 2026/7 … for me the sooner the better

The Marxists are prone to civil wars and maybe the benefits thing will cause those ignored backbenchers to get a taste for it .

The idea of a TTK benefits system – on top of a ‘legal ‘ system is very attractive and adds to the toxicity of Starmer and his gang .

Listening to the benefits junkies moaning about any attempt to control the out of control benefits bill is painful . The entitlement is just normal … life living on other peoples’ tax money is no shame . Working is for mugs . And that labour mindset means – ‘growth ‘ – forget it …

Fedup, I am always surprised at the resilience of ‘first’ world economies. The problem for government and this Government is that they need growth to fill the hole. Unfortunately for them the hole is growing and their medicne is killing the growth needed and it is starting to show up in the cash balances. The Starmer/Reeves axis is too close and it will not be a case of axing the useless chancellor; Starmer will also have to go.

Amazon’s practices involve a mix of strategies for handling returned and unsold items, including reselling, donating, and, in some cases, destruction. Could Glastonbury be the “perfect storm” for a
spontaneous bout of ante- Semitism egged on by the
Irish Republican bands on show and the 500 BBC employees
on a freebie paid by our TV tax. All that may be missing
are the Hamas supporting Irish BBC reporters to introduce
    their brothers.
I have always wondered that if Hitler would of been
successful with an invasion of the UK in 1940. What would
of happened to the Jews in the UK. Would of they been transported all the way to Auschwitz? Or would of the
Nazis opened up a camp nearer to home. A lot of the guards
in the concentration camps were Ukranians. I wonder where
they might of come from , if the camps were nearer to the UK?
But of course just because Eamon de Valera the future Prime Minister and President of the Republic sent his condolences
to the Nazi mission in Dublin on hearing of the death of Hitler in
1945. And the fact that Eire was the only country part
of the British Dominions that didn’t join the UK in their war
against Hitler. One mustn’t assume that the Irish Republic
has any “hostility ” towards Jews.
    And I do know that
many from Eire did join up and fought with their Dominion
    comrades.

    Summer silly season edition

Like a dog returning to its own vomit [Proverbs 26:11] the press renew their annual holiday love fling with that plastic Brit and mediocre tennis starlet…

Britain will bake in 36c heat… But Emma’s all smiles in the Wimbledon sun (Daily Express) – top featured title in the BBC’s online print line-up – believe it or not.

Emma Raducanu I need joy of living in the moment (Telegraph) – well, that’s just as well, luv. You get your Andy Warhol-style 15 minutes of fame about this time every year and you just happen to be back in it now – so be sure to make the most of it…

Emma Raducanu has been featured in several high-profile advertising campaigns, most notably with HSBC and Dior. She also has endorsement deals with Tiffany & Co., Nike, and British Airways. – Thank you AI

Emma Raducanu tells girls they don’t need men to succeed as she reads revised fairy tales which write out Prince Charming in new HSBC ad (Daily Mail, 2023)

Gosh, what an awful Patriarchy we live in (sarc.)

We’re finally being judged like men… Women’s Euros special report (the mildly conservative Telegraph) – may as well focus on the gender politics – ‘cos the sport’s a bit shit.

Shocking! Switzerland women’s team humiliated 7-1 by teenage boys ahead of UEFA Euro 2025. (Times of India, 2 days ago)

‘World’s sexiest footballer’ is on the losing team as Swiss women are beaten 7-1 by 14-YEAR-OLD boys ahead of Euros (Daily Mail) – blimey, clocking her photos in that Mail on Line report, I’m surprised the poor lads could concentrate on the football.

The former Aston Villa and West Ham forward’s involvement in the Euros will come just months after her and Douglas Luiz reportedly called time on their relationship. (Daily Mail) – I’ll bet when she went to a game to watch him play there were more passes in the crowd than there were on the pitch.

    But we digress.

The Radacanu reinvention (i paper); Tantalising clues that Emma’s found a love match with Wimbledon champion (Daily Mail) – our press do realise that obsessively stalking a woman is now considered a crime, right? Even if it is committed only once a year on an annual basis for about a fortnight.

The serious topic of politics now from the formerly serious paper of record the Times… let me guess, some household big name elder statesman commentator, who’s made a few connections over the years and who’s been around the block a few times… Paxman…? Marr…? Neil…?

‘I quite like Nigel Farage – we’re fed up with the Tories’… Rod Stewart at 80 (Times)

Poor ol’ sod… I mean Rod… are you remembering to take all your medications? Rod ‘Flu nearly KO’ed my big show’… Glastonbury Exclusive (The Sun) – I’m sure someone there at the festival could’ve passed you a tablet of some sort.

And it’s not just the wishy washy faux conservative liberal dad press…

The properly left-leaning youth-oriented lower reading age poundshop Guardian is at it too – picking an English actress to comment on UK vis-a-vis US politics – where once upon a time we’d think to ask the likes of Henry Kissinger or Gore Vidal…

Maxine Peake at 50… I’m petrified by Reform. Just look at America… It’s crazy… we are now in a battle about the truth (i paper) – Who she, you ask? She is known for her role as Twinkle in Dinnerladies, a sitcom on BBC One

And to sum up… the in-the-tank for Labour Daily Mirror lobs Keir Starmer a soft ball… he may not be capable of fixing the economy… not so much as a single pot hole – but he sure can introduce a sales ban… Samurai sword horror (Daily Mirror) – I suppose it was ban them or put a tax on machetes

Probably because (a) their default mode of operation is to lie and obfuscate at the cabinet and senior civil service level and (b) they haven’t got a clue what they are dealing with, much less the legacy media. We really can’t expect them to understand or answer questions such as:

Why are we buying F-35A’s rather than the F-35B’s we’ve standardised on across the board? One big implication is that the F-35A is not compatible with the RAF’s tanker refuelling aircraft. Another is that the F-35A cannot operate from aircraft carriers (a major reason we adopted the F-35B).

Why are you not mentioning that the primary role of these planes will be as trainer aircraft by 207 Squadron? Using them for delivering American-made nuclear weapons, under American control, is only a secondary role.

Are these additional aircraft, or substitutions for some of the 138 F-35Bs we have agreed to buy?

Is it true that these aircraft will not be in service until 2035? This is the same year that the new, replacement Tempest fighter being co-developed with Japan and Italy is due to enter service, upon which we’ve already spent around ÂŁ3 billion. Could the Tempest not be produced in a variant capable of delivering nuclear weapons (answer=yes).

I appreciate that the above is too much detail for a BBC/Daily Mail/Daily Express headline, but they are the sort of questions MPs and a competent media should be asking, rather than the ‘Boo to Russia, Hooray to Lockheed Martin!’ cheerleading stuff.

Dave Rubin of “The Rubin Report” talks to Liz Truss about the decline of free speech in the UK; the rise of mass immigration and de-industrialization; the failures of the Conservative Party to back real reform; how establishment orthodoxy stifled her agenda as Prime Minister; the need for a cultural and political reset; comparisons to Donald Trump’s fight against the deep state; her call for a conservative revolution across Britain and Europe; and the vital role of independent media in challenging mainstream narratives; and much more.

She also mentions the need to take on the culture in the BBC.

This country’s in dire need of a f*cking spanking, mate
A good overhaul, get the f*cking dinosaurs out
Yeah, and kill the fucking queen
She killed Diana, we don’t love her anyway

Michael Deacon (today in DT) has a good on idea what to do with all the asylum seekers (aka immigrants agogo).
Stop panicking about asylum hotels, Sir Keir. I’ve got the perfect solution…
The PM will never meet his pledge to end their use by 2029. Unless, that is, he follows this simple suggestion!

Three years ago, Ron DeSantis – the Republican governor of Florida – decided that he was sick of his state being deluged by asylum seekers. And he was even more sick of being lectured by rich liberals who were always loudly supportive of mass immigration, while living in neighbourhoods that were largely untouched by its downsides. So he came up with a little idea.

He assembled a group of asylum seekers who’d arrived in Florida, and kindly arranged for them all to receive one-way flights to Martha’s Vineyard: a fashionable part of New England that is home to lots of rich liberal celebrities.

You may be astonished to learn that, in liberal circles, Mr DeSantis’s plan was met with horrified fury. Not, of course, because these liberals don’t like asylum seekers, and were appalled by the prospect of having to share their beautiful neighbourhoods with them. It was merely because they felt it was callous and inhumane of Mr DeSantis to use vulnerable people as pawns in a cynical political game. That was all. Important to make that clear.

Anyway, there’s a reason I bring this story up. Here in Britain, our Labour Government has got itself into a bit of bother. Earlier this month, it pledged to end the use of asylum hotels by 2029. But now David Bolt, the chief inspector of borders and immigration, has said: “I don’t think it will be achieved, frankly.”

So why not take a leaf from Mr DeSantis’s book? Remove all the asylum seekers from their hotels – and instead put them up in places that are full of rich liberals. Branches of Soho House, say, or BBC headquarters.

Admittedly this might take some time to arrange. So, for this weekend at least, the Government could just bus them all into the Glastonbury festival*

A perfect solution that will please everyone. It’s just a wonder that Labour didn’t think of it sooner.

And don’t we just know that each year half the BBC staff decamps to go ‘wild’ at – Glasto – and film themselves at the same time as they are being paid ‘working’ overtime – for their generous employer. Free tickets for everything. I ‘d rather – not go there!, ever! But I am sure that several thousand immigrants would be welcome there; Vegan foods, Solar powered mobile phones, Fossil free underwear and all powered by just one Windmill (and several back up Diesel generators behind the tents).

Phillip – there’s a big flaw in that plan – although I remember the Martha’s Vineyard stunt with .. fondness .

The flaw is what’s already happened . YouTube fed me footage of the blue party ‘shadow Home Secretary ‘ going to the park lane ( £200 monopoly?) and trying to ‘chat ‘ to the vermin in their tents- drunk Bulgarians and Albanians who naturally offered traditional physical threats and similar custom to an elected official and his minder …

An alt remedy ? Get Charles Windsor to give up some of his lands to house the invaders … his family still own a huge chunk of Britain with or without a lost civil war – it wouid be a popular move and maybe reduce pressure on his tax paying subjects having to ‘deal with ‘ the new arrivals / third world invaders of various complexions ….

Btw – Richard tice has twittered that he made the right decision not to engage Islamic Glastonbury after what has happened there today …

But let’s face it – youth is always at the edge – so support for an Islamic terrorist group which slaughtered the very type of people who go to a pop concert shouid t be a surprise ,,, has there been a re enactment yet – complete with an airborne attack element over the fence ?

“A total of 44 hostages were taken from the music festival. As of 22 June 2025, 16 of the hostages are still being held captive. Israel has declared that five of the 16 hostages are dead with their bodies held captive: Inbar Haiman, Uriel Baruch, Guy Iluz and Idan Shtivi.”

surrounded the festival grounds (SHOULD HAVE HAD GLASTONBURY WALL) and indiscriminately fired on individuals attempting to escape. Attendees seeking refuge in nearby locations, such as bomb shelters, bushes, and orchards, were killed while in hiding. Those who reached the road and parking were trapped in a traffic jam as militants fired at vehicles. The militants executed some wounded individuals at point-blank range as they crouched on the ground.[15][16]

BBC reprimanded by government for broadcasting anti-Israeli violent rhetoric and so far the BBC decides it’s not worth reporting…despite the culture secretary actually phoning up the BBC’s boss to give him an earful…

‘The BBC has been reprimanded by the Government after it broadcast a rap group leading chants of “death to the IDF” on stage at Glastonbury on Saturday

Lisa Nandy, the Culture Secretary, phoned Tim Davie, the BBC director-general, demanding that he explain why the performance by Bob Vylan, a rap duo, was shown live.

A spokesman for Ms Nandy said: “We strongly condemn the threatening comments made by Bob Vylan at Glastonbury.

“The Culture Secretary has spoken to the BBC director-general to seek an urgent explanation about what due diligence it carried out ahead of the Bob Vylan performance, and welcomes the decision not to re-broadcast it on BBC iPlayer.”’

    And others…

‘Kemi Badenoch, the Tory leader, said: “This is grotesque. Glorifying violence against Jews isn’t edgy. The West is playing with fire if we allow this sort of behaviour to go unchecked. The cultural establishment needs to wake up to the fact this isn’t protest, it’s incitement.”

Stuart Andrew, the shadow culture secretary, said: “Questions must be asked whether the BBC considered implementing a slight delay in their live coverage to avoid broadcasting violent hate speech to millions of viewers.”

Danny Cohen, former director of BBC Television, said: “This chant was nothing less than incitement to violence against the world’s only Jewish state. That something like this might happen could easily have been foreseen by the BBC, and measures could have been taken to prevent its broadcast.

“Allowing it to be broadcast is a very serious failure, and further evidence that BBC management are blind to their responsibility to Britain’s Jewish community and all licence-fee payers.”’

How many more times must the BBC be allowed to get away with serious anti-Israeli/anti-Semitic content before there are serious repercussions?
