Lurking again. So i will go first. Only question to ask: will Tim Davie be forced to as resign as D-G of the BBC after the vile Bob Vylan performance at Glastonbury? I am very glad that President Trump is said to have cancelled vile Vylan’s visa to the USA. Make America great again!

Up to i mentioned that the DG has been ducking his nut – and today a DT reporter says the same – hoping that something will come along to distract the pressure .

He won’t resign . Wouid it make any difference ? He’d only be replaced by another media inbred ….

Presumably there’s some kind of power struggle going on with whispers of nandy being fired and early chats about the charter re newal – but the bbc is as secretive as the Kremlin so it would be guess work .

The nandy firing now has to be seen in the light of the Labour mini revolt over the fee money thing on Tuesday – there’s been talk about a summer reshuffle so it might make things more complicated for Starmer – desperate to show he is in charge ..

….. i was wondering how many Jewish people work for the BBC – im guessing it’s not too many …if any ….

InRe ; Some celebrities (slebs) pontificating at a festival beloved by the BBC .

I think just ignore them .
(I know people will point out about Lucy Connelly and Tommy Robinson – they shouldn`t be put in jail ) .

The Glastonbury slebs are just doing the two minutes hate for halfwits . So they say death to the IDF – so what ? That`s a military force that will never be affected by anything they say . For that matter nor would the Women`s Institute be under threat from ageing hippies whooping and hissing against them . An over excited little kitten would be of more concern for the IDF than all the crowd at Glastonbury ( who are more protected by walls and security than the festival that Hamas attacked ) .

It would be better if all the verbal garbage that these slebs like Linaker say was collated , edited and printed into a little red book for old hippy druids to carry and peruse where their thoughts should lie .

      Are you a Never Nigel?
We know that millions of people across Britain don’t have a positive view of Nigel Farage and say they would never vote for him, or for his party.

But as the recent election shows, many others are feeling disillusioned and pessimistic, and are willing to take a chance on his politics.

‘Advance’ is a pointless exercise while Reform is doing so well at the moment.
Rupert Lowe has chosen the wiser course and started a movement rather than a party and, whilst I’m not a fan of Lowe, I think this could be a good thing as long as it does not become just an anti-Reform movement. I think that an active populist force putting forward far more robust policies such as remigration would move the Overton window further in the right direction and hopefully keep Farage from morphing in to the establishment as many fear he may do.

This kind of talk doesn’t happen in a vacuum. Reform is still dealing with the consequences of the revelation last week that one of its canvassers in Clacton, Andrew Parker, made racist remarks about Rishi Sunak and called Islam a “cult”.

1 Oct 2014 “A woman is taking the NHS to court, claiming she was rushed into gender transition treatment as a teenager and is now seeking to “detransition” back to her biological sex. She argues that she should have been advised to wait before undergoing hormone blockers and gender reassignment surgery. The case is part of a larger debate surrounding single-sex spaces in the NHS and the definition of sex under UK law, particularly in light of a recent Supreme Court ruling. ”

      ……………

The NHS spending on gender-affirming care, including surgical and non-surgical procedures, has significantly increased over the past few years. In the past five years, NHS England spent over £250 million. While this includes all gender-questioning and non-binary patients, it reflects a substantial rise in investment in transgender services.

      ………………..

      Gender-affirming hormones
From around the age of 16, young people with a diagnosis of gender incongruence or gender dysphoria who meet various clinical criteria may be given gender-affirming hormones alongside psychosocial and psychological support.

These hormones cause some irreversible changes, such as:

breast development (caused by taking oestrogen)
breaking or deepening of the voice (caused by taking testosterone)
Long-term gender-affirming hormone treatment may cause temporary or even permanent infertility.

However, as gender-affirming hormones affect people differently, they should not be considered a reliable form of contraception.

There is some uncertainty about the risks of long-term gender-affirming hormone treatment.

      https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/gender-dysphoria/treatment/

The most common risks or side effects include:

      blood clots
      gallstones
      weight gain
      acne
dyslipidaemia (abnormal levels of fat in the blood)
      elevated liver enzymes
polycythaemia (high concentration of red blood cells)
hair loss or balding (androgenic alopecia)

Claims that widespread child sexual abuse “may be occurring on the same scale as the past” in Rotherham are unfounded, a review has found.

Conservative councillors claimed that grooming gangs still operating in the town were being ignored by police and the wider local authority.

No winners edition – nope, that’s not your jaded old Mr AsI’s prediction for British tennis players at SW19, despite all the patriotic press hullabaloo so far this week.

Got a dating drama, secret crush, or situationship crisis? No judgement – we’ve all been there – nope, that’s not our left-leaning British press corps dishing the dirt and finally turning on Keir Starmer…

That’s the giveaway freebie Metro plugging their: …brilliant new podcast from Diana Vickers , Alice Giddings and the team… – sounds as though it’s a girlie thing.

Whereas this does look a lot like the formerly compliant press corps finally turning on the Labour PM: Slow-motion humiliation for Starmer as he loses control of Commons (Chris Mason, Political editor, BBC, Henry Zeffman, Chief Political correspondent, BBC)

The globalist FT tops the BBC online news press pile and there the headlines voice concern at the on-coming withering of the socialist money tree: Starmer guts welfare reform to avert defeat in Commons… Multibillion hole in public finances – now, remind me, where have we heard that epitaph for a Prime Minister before?

In medieval times, Fortuna, the Roman goddess of fortune and luck, was a prominent figure representing the unpredictable nature of life and the rise and fall of fortunes. She was often depicted with a wheel, the “Wheel of Fortune,” which symbolized the ever-changing nature of fate, where even the powerful could be brought low and the humble could rise. This imagery served as a reminder of the fragility of power and the capricious nature of luck – thank you AI

It’s a tad grudging from the FT but Trump is on the the up.

Trump card ‘Big beautiful’ tax and spend bill moves a step closer after slim Senate victory (FT) – of course the much maligned Donald Trump has the huge advantage over the UK that the US Dollar is a global reserve currency and The Fed still has scope for monetary expansion – we don’t.

Bank of England to redesign banknotes – and wants your help (BBC) – golden Blue Peter badge for the best crayon sketch of the SS Empire Windrush design for anew £13 note?

I jest of course – or do I…?

The absence of any women, apart from Queen Elizabeth II, on notes in 2013 prompted a huge backlash… the Bank is proposing that designs on the next series of notes could move on to a new theme. The public are being invited to give their views. They can also suggest their own themes, which may prompt plenty of jokes (BBC) – it’s irresistible… go on, have a punt hereabouts.

Royal lions and unicorns need to be replaced with rainbows and unicorns, obviously.

Meanwhile, the avowedly anti-Brexit FT makes a remarkably frank summation of the Brussels bloc designed problems facing those independent-minded formerly neutral Swiss: Brexit-like dilemma after Bern reached a deal to improve trade… As in the UK, a proud European nation… confronted with a stark choice… making payments, taking migrants and giving up judicial power. The deal includes automatic adoption of changes to EU law… uncomfortable for many Swiss, given their prized direct democracy system (FT) – sold for a mess of pottage [Genesis 25]

    …bruised PM backtracks (Guardian)
Labour rebels force Starmer to retreat on benefits cuts again (i paper)

The only thing keeping Starmer in office – defying gravity – is the fact that his cabinet ain’t exactly the Ministry of All the Talents…

49 Labour MPs vote against Government… one telling ministers: ‘This is crazy, man’ (i paper) – innit, doh? Ah the sheer calibre of oratory on offer from our present crop of parliamentary representatives.

Heir presumptive, prime candidate in waiting – at least according to the junior poundshop low reading age youth-oriented comic version of the Guardian that is the i paper: Revealed: Streeting’s plan to make nurses’ lives easier

Even the in-the-tank for Labour tabloid Mirror appears resigned as to the outcome of the failed welfare Bill: No winners

The cloying sentimentality of Wes Streeting is right up the Mirror’s street – when they want to push an agenda: Dad’s hugs… late father will be with her all the way at Euros… Plus: Women’s Euro 2025 sweepstake kit inside

    And finally, immigration…

Ministers have revealed rules on immigration that leave employers free to recruit overseas for a range of lower-skilled office jobs in what home secretary Yvette Cooper dubbed a “reset” (FT) – low skilled… so they won’t be paid a great deal and won’t be contributing much in the way of income tax then?

‘Smashing the gangs’ latest… 20,000 this year… and counting… abject failure to protect our borders… all will have to be fed, housed and given free health care – and most will NEVER leave (Mail)

Our profligate government, aided and abetted by the BBC dredging up sob stories at every conceivable occasion, wants to spend spend spend and tax tax tax.
    A couple of points.
The BBC were showcasing all the wheelchair users who had gathered outside parliament yesterday.
One placard had bullet points. The first bullet point was about the PiP ‘cuts’. But the second, which of course received no comment, was along the lines of ‘No to increased defence spending’. So what we actually have here is an organised Far Left activist campaign latching on to the latest topic, in this case the social security non-reforms.
Next up. In the D Mail, a useful article that the mass explosion of schoolchildren SEND statements and Education, Health, and Care Plans are costing the taxpayer £2bn a year not in education provision but in TRANSPORT costs !!!!!
What the D Mail haven’t reported on is that families can choose their own transport, irrespective of cost. The costs balloon as a result. I was told this by the Finance Director of a council whose job was to find money for it all. Our councils rightly get a rough ride from time to time but in their defence they are legally obliged to provide certain services, these are unlimited. But their budget isn’t. The result is all the money goes to special needs everything, housing asylum seekers etc etc and there is nothing left to spend on the services from which the people who actually pay council tax would benefit. Pot holes, parks, street cleaning and the like.
The country is a total basket case.

We in the UK have the most expensive gas and electricity prices and that is in part thanks to so-called renewables and things like Contracts for Difference.

The sun doesn’t shine at night time so solar panels will not work then. And wind turbines need sulphur hexaflouride for their switch gear and the scientists say that sulphur hexaflouride is the worst global warming gas of all, worse than methane and far worse than CO2 that Minibrain wishes to get rid of, despite the fact that CO2 helps vegetation to grow and is responsible for greening our planet.

        Published 13 September 2019
        https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-49567197

Where once large coal-fired power stations brought energy to millions, the drive to combat climate change means they are now being replaced by mixed sources of power including wind, solar and gas.

This has resulted in many more connections to the electricity grid, and a rise in the number of electrical switches and circuit breakers that are needed to prevent serious accidents.

Collectively, these safety devices are called switchgear. The vast majority use SF6 gas to quench arcs and stop short circuits.

However, the global installed base of SF6 is expected to grow by 75% by 2030.

Another concern is that SF6 is a synthetic gas and isn’t absorbed or destroyed naturally. It will all have to be replaced and destroyed to limit the impact on the climate.

The cost of net zero, to us directly via our energy bills are only part of the issue. All Government building and infrastructure projects are now assessed for compliance complete with all the extra costs associated with planning and consultation. Buildings can’t be built with normal heating, it’s all about solar panels and heat pumps. Schools and Hospitals are forced to spend millions of our money to pay for net zero lunacy.

In October 2020, the NHS became the world’s first health service to commit to reaching carbon net zero, in response to the profound and growing threat to health posed by climate change. The “Delivering a Net Zero Health Service” report sets out a clear ambition and two evidence-based targets. Thanks to NHS people, partners, and suppliers, we’re already on the way to building a greener NHS. One year on from setting out these targets, the NHS has reduced its emissions equivalent to powering 1.1 million homes annually. Together, we can achieve even more.

Stay up to date on how the NHS is becoming greener.

      https://www.england.nhs.uk/greenernhs/

      We have set two targets:

      For the emissions we control directly (the NHS Carbon Footprint), we will reach net zero by 2040, with an ambition to reach an 80% reduction by 2028 to 2032;
For the emissions we can influence (our NHS Carbon Footprint Plus), we will reach net zero by 2045, with an ambition to reach an 80% reduction by 2036 to 2039.

Three hospital bosses, arrested on suspicion of gross negligence manslaughter in relation to the death of babies in the Lucy Letby case.
There has been the Thirwall inquiry into the Lucy Letby murder case. It seems somewhat strange that the inquiry can close before these new defendants are tried. One wonders if any of these three people gave evidence at the Letby trial, what bearing would their possible prosecution have on the evidence they gave. There’s lots of people who have grave doubts about her conviction, I don’t know if she’s innocent or not but much of the statistical evidence is extremely doubtful.

Further to Tomo’s post above regarding Donald Trump winning $16 million, plus costs to amount to roughly the same amount, for the faked-up, edited interview with Kamala Harris during the last American erlection, this sum was won against CBS (although it will likely be paid by Paramount, its owner).

But, hold on a moment – isn’t CBS the BBC’s much vaunted North and frequently quoted as its American partner (in crime ?). I bet they were proud of them.

As you would expect of the left-biased news media (and who would have guessed that BBC would look to partner with a left-wing American media organisation ?), apparently CBS/Paramount, despite giving up potentially over $30 million, have refused to apologise for their actions.

Typical (…….also typical of the BBC these days).

2016 …The Independent has discovered a serious row has broken out among some unpaid charity workers at the camp in northern France, with some believing forging sexual relationships with adult refugees is natural in such circumstances, while others say it breaches all usual codes of conduct.

One man who raised the alarm was later subjected to a barrage of online abuse.

After being told of the allegations, UNHCR, the United Nations Refugee Agency, called for charities in Calais to impose “zero tolerance” policies on any exploitation to help maintain the “integrity” of volunteer work.

      https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/europe/calais-jungle-volunteers-sex-refugees-allegations-facebook-care4calais-a7312066.html

The issue came to light after a bitter online discussion between volunteers that was later deleted after concerns were raised that it would become a scandal if it were seen by journalists. The Independent saved a copy before it was removed.

^^ we will only know the truth years after the event….”that it would become a scandal if it were seen by journalists”
