Midweek 23rd July 2025

It looks like the demonstration at Epping are spreading . The BBC will either pretend they are not happening in other Counties – or labelling it as ‘thuggery ‘… anyway please be cautious about comments . Lucy Connolly got 31 months for an angry tweet – so please be careful …

The top 50 viewing stats are dire
with only about 10 % of UK adults watching the most popular show
and only about 7% of them live.

Local news progs are usually the moiost popular shows but are omitted from BARB stats cos they on;y count national figures

Stew – I’d very much like to have a weekly list of viewing figures for the BBC – both TV and Wireless . I know they try to cover up the decline by saying people watch and listen online . But in my bias – I reckon they rely more and more on the good stuff before ‘approved ‘ set in ….

But I guess the numbers won’t figure in the charter renewal . The Marxists are never going to sell off the BBC whilst in enthusiastically tells punters the TTK approved message …

BBC headline “Council quizzed on mayor’s 600% allowance increase”
Is that a fair headline ???
or is it ammunition for the BBC’s lefty mates to come up with lurid headlines spun as “huge PAY rise when Reform promised to save money” ?
Is it sensationalising a relatively small amount of money

    The job is actually unpaid
Is the allowance a big number ? No
600% rise in a small number is still a small number

The mayor’s allowance in Scarborough Town Council covers expenses for civic duties in the unpaid role, such as costs for official engagements, travel, and events, to avoid personal out-of-pocket spending. It’s not a salary. Previously £500 under charter trustees, it’s now £3,500
based on estimated needs, benchmarked against other councils.

“According to fellow Reform councillor Stuart Murray, the authority had already saved £5,000 in money that was allocated in relation to the mayor’s chains and civic regalia.”

No BBC dept tweeted the headline
except BBC Yorkshire who tweeted it without context

Dozens of lefties tweeted the BBC headline without context to sneer at Reform
Falsely making out it is PAY and big number ?
