      Pete – thank you for going first – as for ‘diversity ‘ – it has to be approved sort of diversity – Israel doesn’t qualify and is seen by the BBC as a monotheistic lump – when in fact there a whole range of people living there .

      But BBC anti semitism trumps any reason – as the comments I heard by Bowen over the release of a video of a starved Israeli sausage ( poor sod – offer a prayer ) which Bowen said was a ‘professionally produced ‘ work – intercut with images of ( allegedly ) starving babies …

      Diversity – is our weakness … and is one of the weapons being used to destroy the character / culture of what used to be Britain ….

      The likes of 77 brigade and the various ‘nudge’ units in the Marxist state must be working overtime to try to suppress what British people are finally realising had been done to them …

        With my background entrenched in construction, my dad once told me that back in the thirties, he remembers a foreman calling out to a brickie, ‘Who do you work for, George’, and the brickie replying, ‘Brown and Sons’, and the foreman immediately shouting, WELL WORK FOR BROWN AND SONS THEN’!

        Imagine the shrivelling violets in tax-paid town halls, Whitehall and other government sponges of our money, being spoken to like that!

        Reachall Thieves has started to decimate the aspirations of young and new businesses, because of the marxist/racist tendency to tell them who to employ, when and how, and how much to pay them for failure. Rich businesses are just packing up and leaving the country, but I did have the satisfaction of giving a local chap a mornings’ work in the garden this week, and when he respectively wanted to be paid in cash – there was a certain amount of panic, while finding fivers in an ’emergency book’ on the shelf, money in a tin box upstairs, a few quid from my wallet and all my parking change from the car!

        But at least he’ll spend it the way he wants, which is so gratifying! The nearest to him employing anyone who is capable of working in his special job, is getting a family member whom he trusts, not an entitled foreigner expecting the luxuries he’s used to getting from this useless government.

        Beeboids will claim that as they do the ‘job’ they love, they’re not really having to work. That means not very much to a builder getting into his van at 5.00am every day of the week to graft for ten hours, then drive home late.

          Scroblene – the knock on effect of tampering – reducing the NI threshold will be seen with job losses and higher formal unemployment levels leading to the ‘fiscal event ‘ aka budget in October – although she may well have to bring it forward if the economy deteriorated faster .

          Inflation – real inflation – food – is still going up . People notice the price of chicken ….

          I know it’s always gloom – but the situation is pretty dire – with the Marxists claiming to be clearing up after the dead blue party – but in 2029 someone will have to start turning / slowing the onward decline – which will be truly painful for the feckless breeders and other welfare junkies …

    Watching GBNews on the hour news there was film of lots of Palestinian men carrying white sacks of ‘aid’. (See, it’s not just the MSM that can put things in inverted commas to provoke a feeling that all isn’t as suggested). I don’t know who was distributing the ‘aid’ or what was in the bags but for bags that large I would have thought starving men would have struggled to have lifted them onto their shoulders. These men, who didn’t look emaciated were running. They almost looked computer generated. I had a row with a non-Jewish Guardian reader the other day who told me that Israel must get rid of Netanyahu because he is prolonging the war and he is a liar. I was too slow to point out that lying is what the present UK cabinet members do best. She also kept telling me things are so obviously bad in Gaza because the Israelis won’t let journalists in. So who is releasing pictures of ‘starving’ children who turn out to have dreadful genetic illness or photos of men with sacks on their backs? I also understand at least 25% of the aid is stolen by Hamas to be sold at inflated prices. I don’t hear the BBC report that.

    I have watched Winston Marshall interview an ex British army man who had been into Gaza explain why the Israelis had to raze Rafah (because every house is boobytrapped wired to the people detonating devices from the underground tunnels aimed at killing the soldiers. Getting engineers to disarm the devices would take too long). He also explained what the Israelis were doing badly eg chains of command. I understand Colonel Richard Kemp is also on YouTube explaining the Gaza war but the BBC won’t use him either.

    The BBC are doing huge harm as they present a one sided view of Gaza and add to the growing antisemitism in the UK.

      Deborah – I must admire you for engaging with a guardian type – but I must ask – what did you think the outcome would be ?

      People are entrenched on social media – it’s one of the things I wish this site would have – someone who could be an advocate for the BBC . After all – if it’s ’neutral ‘ is should be easy to prove – right ?

      My mind was trained to argue for one side or the other – but trying to defend – represent the BbC ? That’s an impossible client.
      Islamic Hamas has played a blinder with the Western Media – identifying an exploiting gullibility on the starvation front – which is being used to its ‘ emotional fullness – with that toxin mix of angry Muslims – Marxists and anti semites .

      I just really really hope that Israel has the resolve to keep going . Sometimes the trauma that 7 October caused is referred too – but I don’t thing the guardian types grasp the kind of resolve it engendered … something which knowing they want to kill you for being ‘you ‘ will demand the kind of response the IDF is conducting …

I don’t know whether he is a liar or not, but I see the Left’s fingerprints all over the claims in the same way as Trump Derangement Syndrome and calling Boris a liar over cake.

    Great to see GB News ahead of the bBC, not that I watch either.

    Over the last year I have sensed that more of the historic bBC audience are starting to question its impartiality. They are getting it.

    This bodes badly for the bBC Even this apology of a government will sense the risk of positioning themselves too closely to the bBC in the charter review.

    Hilarious story on BBC Londonistan about dodgy landlords and houses of multiple occupancy.
    First we had the experiences of a guy from Nigerian studying law here.
    Then we had references to Tower Hamlets. Will the last English person leaving there turn off the lights.
    Then we had various …..ahem…..people of Indian subcontinental appearance.
    The reality was a damning indictment of the social problems created by unfettered mass immigration into already overpopulated areas. But somehow the BBC report could not manage to notice this,
    Does the BBC even realise how it is becoming a parody of itself?

    What’s the verdict on the Supreme Court ruling on the car financing case?
    You want to buy a car you cannot afford. You agree to pay on the never never. A deal is struck, agreed by both parties.
    Years later it transpires the car dealer was on commission for selling the finance deal as well as the car.
    What exactly are ‘wronged’ people being compensated for?
    Being too stupid to shop around for finance?

    Maybe I’m missing something but this sounds like another case of victimhood and ambulance chasing lawyers. The bills to be paid by people who had nothing to do with any of it.

      Mr D and I once went to buy a new car. Two men in suits started with, ‘how much do you want to pay a month?’ This was some years ago and the question flummoxed us. We wanted to pay what it cost. They kept saying it would be x number of monthly payments and ‘just’ one final payment at the end which would finance the next car. They left us alone to discuss their offer. It seemed to be that we went in owning a car, albeit an old one, and would come out owning nothing. We didn’t like it and left. What surprises me is why hasn’t the whole setup crumbled? Where are the people who couldn’t afford the next car? Surely not every new car is Motorbility?

    Well, I viewed a trailer on the sports website for “Lionesses: History Makers – celebrate their Euro 2025 journey.”

    For the record, I watched highlights of many of the games and enjoyed the drama. In my opinion, some of the goalkeeping, shooting and team tactics were very good; some of the penalty- taking, marking and defending was not so good. But of course, with the BBC, it can never simply be about the football when women are playing: the agenda has to be shoehorned in.

    Note the use of “journey” in the title. The trailer also had “creating their own destiny, more history”, “a true legacy”, then the learning moment at the end: CHANGE, as quoted at the start of my comment. Plenty of focus on Michelle Agyemang, one of the few Black players, who was good and did make a big impact in the 1/4- and 1/2-finals; she has her own video on the website. There were questions from the BBC, when England won the same tournament three years ago, as to why there were not more Black players in the team; perhaps the manager simply thought they weren’t the best ones to select.

    I thought England were lucky over all, but they fought hard and did deserve some luck. In the penalty shootout v Sweden (1/4-F) all their kicks were on target but 4/7 were saved; luckily Sweden were even worse, with two over the bar, one onto a post, two saved and just 2/7 successful.

    After deservedly beating Italy 2-1 from 0-1 down in stoppage time (1/2-F) they met in the Final Spain, who were better, creating more, but England kept it close enough to have a chance, taking it to penalties. Luckily, Spain had a meltdown from “the spot” and hit only 1/4 of their pen’s, with two saved and one blasted wide. England’s kicks were once again all on target but 2/5 were saved, 3/5 scored. Contrast this with Germany’s 1/4-F win v France, 6-5 on pen’s, where a respectable 11/14 (79%) of the kicks were converted.

      When England won the BBC had a headline claiming it was the Greatest Achievement in English Football. When I looked for the article just now on the BBC website I couldn’t find it but I did download it at the time for the record.

      By the way the English Women team were still taking the Black Lives Matter knee before each match up until the semi-final following negative reaction online.

          We’ve recently had to watch Sky News ( too long a story to tell ) , now I’m worrying about the state of the remote control mute button as it can’t last much longer. We normally watch GB news and because they have to be impartial if they don’t want Ofcom down on them they often have lefties on that raise our hackles so the mute button is pressed, Sky News was almost constantly muted and ended with Mr Kitty saying “I’ve got to turn this off “. Anyone know if you have to replace the whole remote if one of the buttons dies.

            I always watch their progs on YouTube, even a day afterwards, and always feel that there’s someone out there who is taking the British side of things, and yelling at TTK and his inept cronies! ‘Plank of the Week’ is a favourite and always hilarious too!

            As for replacements, just shove the number of the set in Ebay, and Bob’s your Auntie. They’ll also sell you several new TV screens as well, just in case you happen to see some bBC, which is a capital offence here…

    We stopped watching any bBC stuff around the time this girl was shooed into the ‘position’, because she was so poor at presenting anything, and had an irritating manner, and that was ages ago!

    Obviously the bBC’s process copies the TTK method of avoiding every issue, hoping it will go away…

    The King has ‘let it be known ‘ that he hopes that Trump won’t raise the topic of immigration when he visits Balmoral next month.
    Charles the Woke loves Muslim immigrants and despises Brits who are getting angry about them. Of course these immigrants are kept well away from his various residences so he never sees or experiences the consequences of his beliefs. I’m sure that he hopes that his little leak signals his virtue to those of his subjects who are woke.
    I find our King noxious. I despise him. He can keep his woke ideas to himself . Our monarch should represent us , the Brits, and put us first . In return we pay for them and much more importantly give them our affection and support. His mother understood that ‘contract ‘ very well. Charles is breaking the contract and it won’t end well for him and his family if he continues to do so.
    If I were Trump I would insist at some point in the visit , possibly out of courtesy to the King after leaving the royal presence, hold a press conference where I pilloried the government on immigration and it’s attempt to suppress us discussing it.

    I was stupid enough to buy a new car and was pressured into using finance – I didn’t – I paid cash . I wondered why they were nt happy – now I know they got a good commission – at the time I assumed they got a taste .

    Anyway the msm is lamenting the loss of free money – I think all these free money jobs – PPI – diesel – just encourages the feckless . But that’s me ….

      Don’t you mean 13 million since 2010 and are these statistics for the whole of the UK (rather than England & Wales alone)? The BBC normally quotes net immigration. As part of these statistics one needs to recognise indigenous British emigrating from Britain. There is a big difference between the people entering the country and those leaving it.

      About ten years ago I was in London and certain parts of London had crowds of very black people on the streets. It was like I was in some place in central Africa. That locality of London lacked diversity and I assume they were recent into the country.

    Yesterday I was in Derby, at “The Greatest Gathering” a once in a lifetime rail enthusiasts event with hundreds of trains, celebrating British history and achievement. A fantastic day.

    The 12,000 visitors were 99.99% white British. In the whole day we saw perhaps three non white British visitors. On returning home, looked at the BBC and ITV local news coverage of the event. About a third of the visitors they interviewed were not white: Muslim, African, Pakistani, Other Asian. Both BBC and ITV even managed to interview the same Hijab wearing Muslim woman, who was as unrepresentative of those attending as you could possibly imagine.

    There were virtually NO non white British people at the whole event, the ONLY way they could have achieved this interview feat would be to have spent the day scouring the crowds for the occasional non white British person and rushing over to interview them.

      66200 was also defaced by being named “The Jeremy Vine Show” FFS (unfortunately FFS was not included on the plates, much better if it had been) and he was there at the event. I believe he broadcast his show from a mobile studio on site. Unfortunately, security was tight around it, otherwise I’d have hammered on the side of it and let the tyres down.

      To be fair, if I had wanted to name a loco after a lazy, lying, biased, over-paid, reviled, self-opinionated supplier of propaganda and misinformation I would probably have made the same choice. I can’t think of anybody better that fits that role and perhaps he SHOULD be honoured for achieving such notoriety. But then again…

      It would be interesting to know why DB Cargo decided to do this.

      I’m seeing what I regard as attempts at poking sticks through digital spokes – this seems aligned with the subject being accessed.

      In particular, video having anything to do (directly) with Dan Bongino, Tulsi Gabbard and several other USA personalities regularly at the moment has broken streams (streams stop too, and require re-starts) requiring considerable patience to watch…

    In the Times today, a double pager about Gen Z and the pensions crisis they may face. Just accept that for the sake of argument.
    An insurer offers tips to build up a private pension pot of £300000. Sound a lot? It would not buy you an annuity of the value of the state pension. Employer contributions are a minimum of 3%. Many who offered more are cutting back. They have to cover the Rachel Thieves increase in NI.

    I’ve known for a long time the equivalent public sector employer contributions are vastly more. Teachers get 30%. Alright. 29.7%. NHS is about 24%. Local government is about 24%. Fire and Police are about 35%. No wonder your council tax has gone up. For a reason they never tell you.

    Yet no-one ever calls out this Pensions apartheid. No-one ever mentions it when the public sector go on strike.

    What I think should be done is to replace these 20 page forms full of terms and conditions which nobody ever reads, replace these electronic versions where you have to ‘I agree’ at the bottom of a long list and stop the adverts where somebody reads out terms and conditions like Matthew Laza on speed, is get rid of them.

    These terms and conditions should be replaced with a few lines in plain English saying what you pay for and some very basic common sense conditions where everybody can understand what they are buying.
    If you buy a car, if something happens which is the manufacturers fault, they pay. If it’s your fault (not putting oil in for example) you pay.

    Nobody understands all these forms so in 2029 PM Farage should start reforming this terms and conditions scam.

      This on a road that according to CrashMap has had no accidents slight, serious, or fatal in the last 24 years.

      So we can look forward to broken drop links and suspension on our cars and pinch punctures on our bikes.

      Since this cannot be about safety, and evidently is malicious, my own theory is this is about wasting fuel, 80% of which is tax.

      Similar waste of money on councillors pet projects where I live. Loads of direction signs for pedestrians which nobody will read. Pointless signs for cyclists forbidding cycling in open spaces where cycling has been allowed for decades. Contradictory signs forbidding cycling on a national cycle route. All signs placed in areas where nobody can read them and too tiny to read anyway. Meanwhile disruptive behaviour rife and pot holes everywhere.

    If you accept the right of Israel to exist then you have to condemn the Muslims for 80 years of war conducted against the Jews…but oddly Bowen made no mention of any of that….you might never know that the Muslims were intent, and still are, on wiping out the Jews….Just as you’d barely know that Hamas must play some part in any peace…but apparently, if you listen to the BBC, it is all down to Israel to agree a peace…with, er, somebody.

    The Palestinian dilemma creates an unfixable situation as long as Hamas can move amongst the Gazan population secretly.

    I believe that the situation in Gaza can only be solved by one of two options.

    Option 1. Israel give up all their land and disperse around the World. ( Ain’t going to happen!).

    Option two, Gaza is emptied of all Palestinian and Muslim people by forcing them out into other Muslim countries bordered by Gaza.

    Under option two Israel would have a clean-clear view of the situation and could fortify accordingly, defend borders and act like every other democracy on Earth without “vipers in the nest”.

    The whole situation at present is oddly similar to the situation in Northern Ireland during the troubles where bad actors could move amongst the population to cause mayhem, hidden in plain sight like Hamas are in Gaza.

It disgusts me beyond words how the Left don’t care about the consequences of that. Hamas do terrible things for the sole reason of getting the coverage that news sites such as Al Jazeera and the BBC give them. They WANT people to starve. They WANT babies to be killed by the IDF.

In general surrounding Muslim / Islamic states do not give citizenship to those considered to be Palestinians because the goal of Islam is to remove Israel and the Jews from what they consider to be Islamic Lands.

    This morning the bBC webshite had a follow up article on the Supreme Court’s decision on motor finance. The SC decided that apart from the minority of agreements which were unfair there was no case to answer. No great surprises but the webshite headline was “Millions denied car finance payouts after Supreme Court ruling”.
    No they were not, the majority of cases were without merit and the SC confirmed as much. Only a small issue but it is illustrative of the fundamental disease suffered by the bBC.
