Their main gripe is the posts pointing out the source of the ‘investigation’ needs be banned from public view.

Our BBC is at pains to warn its audience off its own newspaper review this morning: SPOILER WARNING – The Celebrity Traitors winner is revealed in today’s newspapers review. (BBC)

A caution the failing broadcaster’s boss Tim Davie, might wish he could apply to the Telegraph frontpage, where the top headline reads: Davie must explain or quit, says Johnson… BBC chief at centre of biased reporting storm told to come out of hiding by MPs… Boris Johnson has led calls…

Meanwhile, the Telegraph cover page feature photo continues the attack: …as BBC rebukes newsreader over impartiality… Martine Croxall… rolled her eyes while changing the phrase ‘pregnant people’ to ‘pregnant women’

On the topic of our Beeboids feeling that Mother Nature just doesn’t quite live up their woke liberal expectations: Broadcaster Emma Barnett has said finding out she was going through perimenopause at the age of 38 felt like she had been “mugged, robbed”. Barnett, now 40, said it was the “first time in my life I haven’t really wanted to be a woman – it’s the first time I’ve thought, I’d really quite like to be a bloke”. (Annabel Rackham, Culture reporter, BBC)

This piece of course promotes: …her new BBC podcast, Ready to Talk with Emma Barnett, the first episode of which was released on Friday.

Seems our dwindling audience left-liberal small club of broadcasters may be about to become even more incestuous: ITV in talks to sell television business to Sky… Comcast, which owns Universal Studios, bought Rupert Murdoch’s Sky in 2018 and is a major player in the US media landscape. It owns NBCUniversal, which contains the NBC and CNBC channels, DreamWorks Animation and streaming service Peacock. Media analyst Ian Whittaker told the BBC’s Today programme that a combination of Sky and ITV would mean they had “70% plus” of the UK TV advertising market, which he said “in normal circumstances” would be rejected by regulators because of the dominance it would give them. But he added that with questions hanging over the future of TV, a takeover could be seen as almost a rescue deal. (Faarea Masud, Business reporter, BBC)

As somewhat of an aficionado of the papers’ in-house cartoonists, your Mr AsI is pleased to note Guy of the freebie Metro makes it onto the frontpage of the giveaway ad sheet today – he draws a pair of old lags attempting to escape chokey the old-fashioned hard way – by tunnelling their way out: ” ‘Ere Mugsy, rumour has it you’ve been released by mistake”

This gag accompanies the headline: Chill Bill!… One wrongly freed prisoner returns with a grin (giveaway freebie Metro)

See if you could have guessed which of the two convicts would more likely give himself up… perhaps with the old-style exclamation “It’s a fair cop, Gov” – Conman Billy Smith, 25, or Algerian sex offender Brahim Kaddour-Cheriff, 24?

I’d like to think our Billy Smith (Beautiful British name – as comic creation The Pub Landlord would have said) might have the persona of an old-style British movie criminal. I’m thinking Peter Sellers as Pearly Gates in The Wrong Arm of the Law – as he points to his noggin and remarks “There’s schemes goin’ on in there that would make Maigret drop his pipe” – there’s a couple for the teenagers.

I’m pleased to see the long-standing cartoon conventions are observed by Guy as he sketches his cons dressed in jail garb festooned with arrows. If only Hadush Kebatu, convicted sex offender, who was previously mistakenly released had been clothed that way rather than in an easily blended into our present day civie street grey tracksuit – he might have been picked up quicker.

Staying with the cartoonists, our mate Matt in the Telegraph is riffing on a similiar topic. He draws a chaotic scene of lions, crocodiles, snakes and even spiders on the loose under the motto: “If David Lammy ran a zoo”

Oh, and in case you were wondering…

    G5ExdbJW8AApWW4?format=jpg&name=small

The story was broadcast on TV, radio, TikTok and more.
    It was completely false.
A leaked memo reveals it was based on outdated, cherry-picked data and ignored key factors.
Even the BBC’s own adviser called it “thoroughly wrong” and “damaging misinformation”.
It took six months to take it down.
    No one was held accountable.
This is the state-funded arbiter of truth lecturing the country about disinformation.

Breaking: The government’s appointment of David Kogan as chair of the football regulator made THREE breaches of the Governance Code

    3. The Culture department failed to disclose Kogan’s political activity, notably his extensive links to the Labour party

The latest stabfest on the train that stopped at Huntingdon had all the media including Der Starmer praising Cranebridgeshire police for their quick actions. Apparently 11 minutes from phonecall to being at the train station.

Huntingdon police station is only 300 yards from the train station.

The first thing they did was taser the wrong man.

A video showed a man carrying a knife walking calmly down the platform, then over a fence, before walking through a car park.

“Gates of Vienna” can refer to historical events, such as the 1683 Ottoman siege of Vienna, or to the modern “Gates of Remembrance” at the University of Vienna. The historical “Gates of Vienna” refers to the 1683 siege where the Ottoman army failed to conquer the city, a defeat that marked a turning point in the Ottoman-Habsburg wars and led to a long period of decline for the Ottoman Empire.
