Some 30 or 40 years ago a researcher on Panorama did exactly what happened with Trump’s speech. I forget the details but he was caught out because in those days they couldn’t change the colour of a tie, or the suit the man was wearing. I forget the details and they appear to be scrubbed from the internet.
The researcher was removed from the programme and worked at high rank in the BBC college for journalists. He eventually left the BBC (about 10 years ago) and has become a successful crime writer. Previous to working for the BBC he had worked for a Labour MP. Doctoring video and selecting clips to be merged to say something the speaker didn’t say has been going on a long time. I knew this man from Panorama which is why I remember as much as I have but it makes me wonder just how much of this has gone on.

I ask you this , because after looking at the guidelines as to how Lucy Connolly was arrested, and subsequently convicted. I can see stark similarities between the legal guidelines (as shown below)

I did learn today that they have employed 60 are working on BBC VERIFY unit and and an other x7,000 ‘doctoring’ all the BBC news feed. One other thing I heard on the radio today is something I noticed back in the 1980’s. So this is confirmed that the BBC — ONLY ADVERTISE — for staff in the pages of ‘The Guardian’. All BBC staff are employed via the Left leaning ‘Guardian newspaper’ and the BBC Editors are ALL (ex Guardian) workers (earning peanuts!) – until they get re-employed by the BBC on BBC style salaries, Pensions and Perks. Free tickets to GLASTO etc. and free ‘BUPA healthcare’, are all part of the package. Add in BBC Pensions (the most generous in the media industry) and you can see where we end up. Totally corrupted staff on News..
And the GUARDIAN has the LOWEST newspaper circultion on the UK. Just x60,000.
