If the USA defamation law is the same as Britain’s there should be an option to prosecute for Criminal Libel. This applies where the libel is meant to cause intentional harm to the victim. I’m unsure of the chronology but as I said before, Trump was being subjected to various lawfare prosecutions some of which could have resulted in prison sentences. It’s an option for Trump to ask for a criminal libel prosecution.
Maybe some in the BBC have more to worry about than having to hand over some our cash.

The Last good thing the BBC did was to launch BBC IPlayer on Christmas day 2007.
That was before UTube was invented.
With the BBC back catalogue it could have gone global, be a world leader, made a fortune. But sadly it is not commercial, nothing the state does is.
That is why it needs to be sold off. Best thing for the tax payer.

The problem for anyone in power here genuinely concerned about the BBC’s malign influences is that the BBC knew long ago its best defence was becoming too big to fail.
Like a shark it kept growing and eating and growing and can never stop… Nonce Network, BBC Galapagos, etc… all staffed by supportive staff of like minded, commissioning stuff from a vast and equally expanding network of dependent complementary suppliers. The U.K. ‘creative industry’. Hence HIGNFY’s spiral of ‘humour’. Or the award winning TTK wanted all kids force fed but now appears consigned to the dustbin on editorial woke propaganda history.
The BBC knows this and in addition to thousands of unemployables from the central hive, every scriptwriter churning out gay dolphin documentaries and the thousands of Gaza ‘PRESS’ jacket seamstresses added to the unemployment roster RfA is busy driving up to add to Cooper’s army of doctors and accountants and Ed’s green engineering experts.
