The BBC are insufferable. They are truly expensive! The latest Licence Fee increase, announced today, is exhorbitant. You do not need to pay the TellyTax, life is too busy to sit in front of a box using the remote to find something worth watching. Defund the BBC.

Buy some DVDs at the Charity Shop instead and watch them on your computer. You do not have to put up with the BBC’s biases then: in favour of socialism. Against President Trump. In favour of the Palestinians in Gaza, and against Israel.

“MPs do not receive a free BBC TV licence solely because of their position, but many claim the cost back through parliamentary expenses. Reports have shown that hundreds of MPs have used taxpayer-funded expense accounts to pay for TV licences for their constituency offices or second homes, even as free licences for most over-75s were scrapped. “

Make them rely on advertising to earn their keep instead of sponging off The State i.e. the tax paying people who actually have to work for a living.
SHUT THEM DOWN! I do not use their services and I have no need of them and yet,by law. I must cough up! These arseholes are like a State sponsored Dick Turpin.

Their advertising schedule would be insufferable, with an exorbitant dose of wokery, and so many foreign races, religions and creeds to include, the ads would be lost in a quagmire of pretentious twattery!

I’ve noticed that there are several ads on Talk, and other commercial stations where they naturally pop in a few radio promotions now and then, and as well as not understanding the foreign-sounding accents, I don’t have a clue about what they’re supposed to be trying to sell either!

The silliest ones at the moment are about Millibonkers’ insulation stuff, with clearly faked accents and idiotic memes, and I knew all about that anyway from my council!

Talking with a local Leftie yesterday. Apparently all Starmer’s problems are because of Trump!!!

And apparently both Starmer and Rayner (because she was advised it was ok to take money out of her child’s Trust fund) are in trouble because they were given bad advice. She didn’t like it when I pointed out that as Prime Minister they would have to ensure that they could discern the difference between good and bad advice – and neither seem capable of it. That was when I was told it was all Trump’s fault.

There is just no logic with the Left.

President Trump had Epstein thrown out of Mar a Largo for bad behaviour towards female staff well before the latter was convicted for offences against underage girls. Yet most of legacy media are still claiming that the President was ‘friends’ with Epstein .
Clearly the lack of any dirt on the President in the Epstein files has been a great disappointment to them but their visceral hatred of Trump , aka acute TDS, is so great that they feel compelled to smear him with the Epstein brush even when they have no evidence amongst the avalanche of released documents.
But the TDS of the legacy media adversely impacts their judgement right across the board, economics, tariffs, defence, immigration, Wokism, United Nations, Davos , just about everything. The President is bringing the curtain down on their Globalist world and returning nation states to being the building blocks of the new world order and they don’t like it one little bit.

Again my lefty ‘friend’, everything about Trump has been removed from the Epstein files which is why it has taken so long to release them.

      • JohnC says:

The simple argument which proves to me Trump has nothing to hide regarding Epstein is that if they had ANY actual dirt on him at all, it would have been public long ago. You can be sure Obama knows exactly what is in those files.

If you only get your news from the BBC, the only people implicated are Andrew Battenberg, Mandelson (relucantly) and Trump (not actually implicated at all).

I notice they don’t mention any of the big stories – like Bill Gates asking Epstein for antibiotics to slip into his wife’s food because he caught the clap and wanted to make sure she didn’t.

The most shameless of double standards. The BBC disgust me. They are 100% left-winf activists now.

Fed you are indulging in wishful thinking. Starmer will be removed soon, either this month or after the May elections but there won’t be a GE. There is no constitutional reason for there to be one and turkeys don’t vote for Christmas so all Labour MPs will be against there being one.
The bleak reality is that we are stuck with this awful government until at least 2028 if not 2029. Labour will be hoping that ‘something will turn up ‘ to improve their fortunes, ordinary voters are just waiting to be able to get ride of them.
It is with regret that I have to admit that Badenoch is doing well at PMQs in recent weeks. Mind you she is being given many open goals but she keeps putting the ball in the net. Her performance will be stopping some wavering Tory voters from moving to Reform. But
she can say and promise all sorts of things but the Tory wets who run the party won’t actually let her do anything even remotely Conservative if she gets into power.
Vote Reform , our last hope.

I saw Kemi speaking in Parliament the other day and I have to say she was as far from a great leader as you can imagine. She sounded more like a teacher delivering a bland lesson to a class.

I said at the time that if she was chosen as leader, it would be the end of the Tories. At that point in time they needed a strong, mature, white male to inspire confidence in the people.

And I bet you 50p Starmer is still PM long after this Epstein/Mandelson farce is done. It’s not easy for him to be forced out – and there will be some seriously unpleasant work going on in the background to ward people off or bribe them. And seeing how the BBC are not willing to criticise him in any way, he will feel confident he can just refuse to go.

I see lots of the MSM are speculating on Starmers plight.

Not the BBC. They’ve dropped the story completely.

Contrast with the daily ‘live updates’ they ran for ALL the tories who were actually right-wing until they were forced out by the pressure. They kept a few half-stories (maybe a stab in the back from another anonymous civil servant) to be used as the headline then the main part of the article simply rehashed the whole story to keep it current.

I think they first used this for George Floyd. Then – when it managed to remove a duly elected PM who was elected by a landslide – they started using it for everyone they wanted rid of.

Losing sight of the real world edition

I see our popular tabloid The Sun is having fun with the Mandelson scandal: Police rummage through Mandy’s drawers… Peer’s 2 homes searched by cops

But I doubt Petey could hide much evidence of his wrongdoing in those tiny budgie smuggling tighty whighties of his.

Just me, or do we think the ever-excitable, (near tumescent?) Daily Mail are likewise having fun with the saucy innuendoes…

Unrivalled coverage of a tumultuous week (Mail)

Vintage TV presenter Denis Norden used to welcome his audience to his afternoon entertainment nostalgia panel show, aimed at the elderly, entitled Looks Familiar (This was the 1970s answer to dementia – we didn’t have the drugs back then and anyway we used to diagnose the condition simply as ‘going a bit ga-ga in your old age’).

Looks Familiar aired dusty old names like Arthur Askey, Ted Ray and Jimmy Clitheroe. They were the common coinage. Remember, this show referenced a time when Victor Meldew was still a lad in short trousers and we can imagine Foggy Dewhurst and his pals Compo and Clegg were bunking off school to imbibe the first of their spring wine in the Yorkshire hills. Norden would employ a chummy catchphase to connect with the old folks: “If you’re one of those people who…”

So let’s give that phrase a revival run out for old times sake with reference to the contemporary news… “If you’re one of those people who… found your only surprise over the Peter Mandelson scandal was the fact he was now aged 72

“If you’re one of those people who…” … find your BBC-approved globalist left-liberal agenda antennae start to twitch at the mention of adjective terms like ‘diverse’ or ‘vibrant’….

Milan-Cortina Games begin with vibrant opening ceremony (Sam Drury, BBC Sport journalist)

Snoop Dogg, selfies and a clean sweep for GB curlers (Richard Winton, BBC Sport in Cortina); Before the parade, creative director Marco Balich’s show was based around the principle of ‘armonia’ – meaning union, connection, agreement – with “a narrative aimed at uniting territories, people and values within a shared vision”… American singer Mariah Carey… the first female IOC president, it is the first time the Olympics have been officially opened by a woman… Figure skater Lilah Fear was the Great Britain flagbearer in Milan (BBC)

Who she, you ask? Lilah Fear is a British-American-Canadian ice dancer – thank you Wiki. I guess she had her pick of a bunch of flags to bear.

Still, the Olympics is a stage for all nations and peoples to come together, to put aside grubby politics, and unite for a brief period in a spirit of mutual sporting comradeship – which is nice and still something to celebrate… or is It…?

Italy aside, the warmest welcome was reserved for the Ukrainian athletes… But there were boos when US vice-president JD Vance was shown on the big screen, with negative crowd reactions for the Israel and Georgia teams as well. (BBC) – Oh, well, so much for the Olympic spirit.

Russian athletes will be banned from competing under the nation’s name at the 2026 Milan Cortina Olympics. (NBC)

The Ancient Greek Olympic truce, or ekecheiria (“laying down of arms”), was a sacred, temporary ceasefire established around the 8th/9th century BC to ensure the safety of athletes and spectators traveling to the Olympia games. It mandated that warring city-states cease hostilities for 1–3 months before, during, and after the games – thank you A.I.

GOOD OLD GORDON, ITS CLEAR HE IS BLAMELESS…

Dear old Gordon Brown, financial genius ,etc, etc, some will recall he was the fantastic, brilliant chancellor who sold off half our gold for $282 an ounce ( current value$5000 an ounce) but remember nobody wanted gold….except the people who snapped it up.

Anyway Gordon has just been given a platform,( by the BBC today prog’) uninterrupted at any stage, to say he had made a mistake putting Mandlestein in his cabinet and the house of lords, but of course had no reason to think he was a” wrong un”….. we must believe him, no, we must…his dad was a vicar for God’s sake . We can and must believe Gordon.

BBC have got the thumbs up on funding, taking only another fiver per annum ..so £180 for a license..so as Kueuenssburg puts it in the advert” the BBC put £5bn into the UK economy every year”…so that £5bn comes from where? NOT as though that money was in the economy anyway.

Oh, I digress, yes uninterrupted Gordon Brown given a platform to possibly , maybe revise , just ever so slightly ,a version of his relationship with Mandleson and indeed the entire relationship between the Labour party and Lord “Petie”. Oh and the other thing Gordon mentioned was his hatred of corruption ,which he says must be stamped out. Glad he made that clear , uninterrupted on the BBC who quite incidently has benefited only this week from the Labour governments license fee announce ment…no connection of course..hope that’s clear.

We must be alert to corruption ,as Gordon says, oh and Gordon also added something or other about integrity, he mentioned it several times and in connection with Starmer. Hmm, integrity , Starmer, Gordon , all in the same sentence . Glad that sorted that out.

    Aaah, Gordon Brown.

The man who before TTKow was ‘crowned’ as the worst Prime Minister in the history of politics was easily the top of the list, allowed in when Blair saw the trouble steamrollering along towards them, and scampered off to make a fortune from his new contacts.

Brown’s years as ‘chancer’ and then PM were an absolute disaster for the UK. Financial management was decimated by his manic fantasies about ‘prudence’, when in fact, he was bloating the public sector, and even worse, creating hundreds of quangos and ‘charities’ to continue his insane position for the prosperity of the UK. We didn’t recover for years, and are still suffering from his toxic far-left legacy.

One interesting fact about Brown’s UK gold sell off was that he made a point of telling the markets how many tonnes he was selling, in advance. in 17 tranches. The result was that the flood of gold coming onto the market reduced the already very low price of gold by a further 10%.

If the effect of the sale was to boost the Euro by using the monies generated by buying Euros it was the correct approach for them but one has to ask though why we were propping up the Euro with our assets. Bliar and New Labour were in love with the EU. Brown wasn’t in love with the Euro so we might wonder why he agreed to do it. His motives might have had more to do with a socialist/globalist and accountant’s view of money. Gold was sat in our vaults doing nothing as he saw it, we needed a capitalist view which views assets as trading assets.

Arrest as four injured in stabbing at train station…The incident happened at Egham train station on Friday night (BBC)

Big up “Da West Staines Massiv…!” – as Ali G would have said.

Det Spt David Udomhiaye said: “We’re aware of concerns from the local community and, while this is of course an incredibly serious incident, I can confirm that thankfully no-one has been fatally injured.

“This is being treated as an isolated incident at the station involving two groups of people who we believe were not known to each other.” – so that’s ok then.

A cordon remained in place at the station on Saturday and an appeal was issued for any witnesses or anyone with footage that might help the investigation to contact police. (BBC)

Well, we’d prefer phone footage didn’t get out on social media.

“I am tendering my resignation because for some time past I have been conscious that I was wasting my own time and the public money on doing work that produces no result. I believe that in the present political situation the broadcasting of British propaganda to India is an almost hopeless task. Whether these broadcasts should be continued at all is for others to judge, but I myself prefer not to spend my time on them when I could be occupying myself with journalism which does produce some measureable effect.

Sabina Khan is reportedly resigning as a Tower Hamlets Councillor after media, ministers, and residents raised concerns about her campaign to run as an MP in Bangladesh.

Two Tower Hamlets Councillors, Aspire’s Sabina Khan, and Independent, Ohid Ahmed, have been criticised for campaigning to run for Bangladesh’s parliament.
Neither received the Bangladesh Nationalist Party’s nomination and are unlikely to continue their campaigns.
Khan, on 13 November, told Bangladeshi press that she was resigning from Tower Hamlets council.
While both councillors were criticised by residents, press, and Cabinet Minister Steve Reed, neither broke any rules by running for MP nomination in Bangladesh.
However, the rules governing councillors are ambiguous, non-standardised, and set by the councils themselves.
The central government has proposed new legislation to strengthen the rules applying to local councillors.
Critics also highlight that Khan missed more than half of her meetings this year because she was abroad.

Nice to see the bBC getting a comment from Sir Tony Blair, not. Funny how it is all St Gordon for the moment. Nothing to do with the historic link between Blair and Mandelson. The sooner the bBC have to charge to a subcription basis the better, they can then legitimately provide their marxist content to a self selecting population. As ever the bBC v democracy. You cannot have both.

You mean “Group-Based Child Sexual Exploitation and Abuse”?

“Thank you, Madam Deputy Speaker, with your permission I will make a statement on the Independent Inquiry into Grooming Gangs, the appointment of its Chair and panel, and the inquiry’s terms of reference.

I know that, for many, this day is long overdue. For years, the victims of these awful crimes were ignored. First abused by vile predators, they then found themselves belittled and even blamed, when it was justice they were owed.

In January, my predecessor asked Baroness Casey of Blackstock, who’s here with us today, to conduct a National Audit on Group-Based Child Sexual Exploitation and Abuse. ”
          https://www.gov.uk/government/speeches/independent-inquiry-into-grooming-gangs

The audit also identified an absurdity in our legal system that saw some child rapists convicted of lesser crimes.

Alongside investment in the Inquiry itself, I can announce today that a further £3.65 million will be committed this year to the policing operation, survivor support and research into grooming gangs.

This work, Madam Deputy Speaker, is essential.

But without truth, there can be no justice.

The Numbers Don’t Lie: White Far-Right Terrorists Pose a Clear Danger to Us All

      https://theintercept.com/2017/05/31/the-numbers-dont-lie-white-far-right-terrorists-pose-a-clear-danger-to-us-all/

This story shows how to make data not seem as bad by grouping and looking for a story that fits your point of view. Please look at the data and decide yourself. I suggest you look at it and think of what trend you would determine, then read Mehdi Hasan interpretation.

      106 vs 119 killings

During the September 11 attacks in 2001, 2,996 people were killed and more than 6,000 others wounded, which is missing from the graph.

Yet the numbers don’t lie — even if the Islamophobes do. “Since September 12, 2001,” noted a recent report prepared for Congress by the Government Accountability Office, “the number of fatalities caused by domestic violent extremists has ranged from 1 to 49 in a given year. … Fatalities resulting from attacks by far-right wing violent extremists have exceeded those caused by radical Islamist violent extremists in 10 of the 15 years, and were the same in 3 of the years since September 12, 2001.” Imagine that.

More piffle being spouted by another labour moron Gordon Brown with regards to Mandy and Starmer.

BBC reports Brown saying as follows –

“But this is serious and the task is very clear. We’ve got to clean up the system… and end the corruption and unethical behaviour. And if we don’t do it, we’ll pay a heavy price.”
    and
Sir Keir was “a man of integrity” who “wants to do the right things”.

    So,
Mandy accepts free money, free trips to love island, freedom to pass on damaging and highly confidential information for self gain. Starmer accepts free glasses, free suits, knickers for the wife, etc. many others in labour get their noses in the trough.

Brown kids himself and gaslights us, when he says it is ‘the system” that needs to be cleaned up!

No Brown you berk. If you know someone has a history of fraud, lies, deceit, corruption, unethical behaviour and has had a friendship with a billionnaire paedophile and you still decide to put your trust in him, then it is not the fault of any system you might care to mention.

How have these idiots managed to get into positions of responsibilty?
