A man allegedly involved in the rape of a 12-year-old girl in Nuneaton last July now faces an additional charge, while the other has had a charge amended.
Mohammad Kabir, 24, and Ahmad Mulakhil, 23, both Afghan nationals, appeared at Warwick Crown Court ,today 27 January.
Kabir had already been charged with intentional strangulation, aiding and abetting rape and attempting to take a child.
Today his charge of aiding and abetting rape was amended to committing an offence with intent to commit a sexual offence.
Mulakhil has been charged with three counts of rape of a female child under 13, abducting a child, and two counts of sexual assault.
And today he was arraigned for another charge, one count of taking indecent photos of a child.
Their trial is currently expected to begin at Warwick Crown Court tomorrow, 28 January.”
