    The BBC’s angle:
The government’s favoured successor is Dame Antonia Romeo, the top civil servant at the Home Office, who was on the four-person shortlist for the role when Sir Chris was appointed.

    Daily Telegraph:
‘Starmer to force through preferred Cabinet Secretary despite warnings’

Given recent history, I wonder which one is doing it’s proper job as journalists and which one is deliberately covering up extremely relevant facts to protect a far-Left dictator.

How many ‘bad apples’ will that be on Starmer ?. It seems he doesn’t care one bit about what people think. He knows he will not be resigning no matter what.

That clip with him losing his rag at Ed Davey should have been made a lot more public than it was. I never saw a PM as nasty as that.

Many years ago I met some Royal Engineers who had been on Sir Galahad ( msm only mention the Welsh Guards ) who would have been dead if not for him being there when the ship was bombed and other helicopter crews. It doesn’t excuse him but there are people like me who remember and wish for the witch hunt to end.

It’s an old story, I know, but when the vile disgusting obnoxious self-righteous Emily Maitliss accused Lowe of being a racist, he had a golden opportunity for a gotcha moment. He could have pointed his finger at her and said: “and that, Emily, is precisely the attitude that allowed the rape and torture of thousands of girls to flourish while you and your like at the BBC ignored it for fear of being called racist. I hold YOU directly responsible, shame on you, a thousand times shame on you.”

(Personally I would have liked him to add: “you sanctimonious, hypocritical B*TCH” – but he’s too much of a gentleman.)

As usual, when it doesn;t fit the narrative, the BBC focus on empathy for the victims to try and stop us questioning anything.

I’ve just been searching for BBC articles on this and I cannot find a single picture of the transsexual murderer. There must be one somewhere, but not in any of the articles I saw where you would expect to see it. That HAS to be deliberate.

I wonder if anyone dare to suggest a link between the typical nasty and intolerant nature of trans people in general and the fact so many of them end up murdering people.

And I also wonder if anyone dare suggest a link between the Leftsist narratives desigend to drive a wedge between Left and Right and these murders. Charlie Kirk’s murder was definitely a result of this.

Actually I don’t wonder at all. Because if anyone did, that same hate and intolerance would be directed at them. And trans people (like all the more extreme Lefties) don’t just want to win the argument, they want to absolutely ruin the target of their hate.

That is the truth of where we are today. And the BBC are 100% complicit in getting us here.

There are 12 million immigrants in Britain now.

If we go back in history, the year the British (indigenous all British) population was 12million was in 1811.

It’s only the last few decades when the immigration percentage has changed from a slow flow in to a massive shooting up if you look at a graph.

Perhaps instead of calling anybody who mentions this far right racist etc it should be called ….. maths.
You can work out when Britain will no longer be British. For instance, on here someone pointed out that 25% of schoolchildren are Moslem (or Islamic or whatever) so when they grow up and have their 6 children that percentage may become 50% or more.

I wonder if they will change the name when they take over.
I hope it’s not the obvious choice of putting a ‘stan after the Country name.

        “Rupert Lowe MP
I am so utterly fed up of this constant lie that Britain is absolutely reliant on low-skilled immigration to keep our country dragging along. That is just not true. It’s boring and it’s wrong.

Let’s take the NHS. We’re always told how its built on immigration. Total nonsense. Reason number one – if we trained our own people, there would be no need to import foreign professionals through such vast numbers. We deliberately block British boys and girls from training medicine, then ship in staff from the third world.

        And let’s be clear.

Their training is often not good enough. Their language is often not good enough. Their attitude is often not good enough.

        That’s just a fact.

The NHS needs translators, but not for the patients – it’s the sodding staff half the time.

So we have some of the brightest young British men and women unable to train through our own decisions, and we replace them with migrants who are all too often not up to the job. Great work, everyone. What a result that is.

Even British medics who have been trained can’t get work. Those roles are being filled by imported Nigerians. It all just sounds too ludicrous to be true. It is very much absolutely true.

Then these pro-immigration hide behind the fact that they bumped into a foreign receptionist in a hospital. It is absolutely nothing personal against these specific individuals, I don’t blame them. I blame our rotten politicians. I’m sure that receptionist is a possibly a nice lady, but she shouldn’t be here.

We have millions of healthy Brits on benefits doing nothing. The answer is quite simple – GET THEM WORKING.

There is also the moral argument of taking these individuals away from their own countries, but I am uninterested in that.

But let’s just park all that for one moment. Why is demand so high in our hospitals?

Go and sit in a hospital waiting room in London, Birmingham, Manchester – pretty much anywhere in Britain other than leafy Surrey.

        It’s packed full of foreigners.

They have every need catered to them. Don’t speak English? Great. We’ll fund the translator. Hundreds of millions are spent on this. It is, and I don’t apologise for my language here, a total piss-take.

All whilst taxpaying British men and women are unable to see their GP, get a scan or receive timely treatment.

I have no issue with bringing in the odd brain surgeon or oncologist. Great, let’s do that until we can train our own. But to suggest that Britain’s health service is so indebted to immigration is total bullshit and we should call it out for the reasons stated above.”

Word about our absurd justice system has filtered through to the chancers.

Pub of the year’ sued for race discrimination by worker over claims vinegar was left near him because it sounds like the n-word

A kitchen porter tried to sue an award-winning pub for race discrimination by claiming vinegar was left near him because it sounds like the n-word.

Willer Lafeuillee, who is black, had only worked at The Running Horses in Dorking, Surrey, for a few weeks before he was dismissed for ‘unprofessional’ behaviour.

But he then brought a race discrimination case against the pub – which was named best in the UK in 2023 – over claims colleagues would place the condiment near him.

He suggested this was done deliberately to ‘send a message’ to him because vinegar sounds like the n-word.

The porter also alleged he was discriminated against because staff played the song Gold Digger by Kanye West as well as music by the rapper Biggie Smalls, all of which contained the n-word.

In a further bizarre allegation, he said he was served an overdone steak and this too amounted to discrimination.

Now his odd claims have been thrown out by an employment tribunal.

Mr Lafeuillee, who is of Caribbean heritage, worked at The Running Horses for six weeks in early 2024, but was sacked for ‘unprofessional and confrontational’ behaviour, a tribunal heard.

He claimed that his colleagues at the pub placed bottles of vinegar near him as an attack on his skin colour.

The tribunal was told: ‘The significance of the vinegar bottle is said to be that it rhymes with the “n-word” and so placing it near to him was, he says, meant to send that message.’

The tribunal concluded that the allegation was so ‘vague’ that it was dismissed from the list of incidents in dispute.

However, several others remained, including Mr Lafeuillee’s allegation that ‘food being burnt and not done according to standard’ amounted to discrimination against him.

He said that he went into the restaurant one evening to use his staff discount, ordering a T-bone steak and a bottle of wine.

The pub told the tribunal that orders came through via a system which meant the chef doing the cooking had no way of knowing who had ordered the meal.

The tribunal heard: ‘Mr Lafeuillee asked for a well done steak.

‘When the waiter bought it to him he became angry because it was not cooked enough, he raised his voice and several customers looked across at him, and the atmosphere became very uncomfortable.

‘The waiter apologised to him and it was taken to the kitchen to be cooked some more, but when it came back Mr Lafeuillee became angry again, raised his voice, took photos of the steak and said it was burned to a crisp.

‘He then sent the steak back again and ordered a sirloin, medium rare, and then complained that it was undercooked.’

Mr Lafeuillee even went into the kitchen at one point and ‘clapped or clicked his fingers at staff, shouted at them across the floor in front of guests and when he found that the steak was not to his liking, started shouting loudly, saying that he was not going to pay’.

He was given a verbal warning about his behaviour the next day.

After another incident in which Mr Lafeuillee acted aggressively, he was sacked, the tribunal heard.

His bosses said he was behaving ‘erratically and aggressively, to the extent that he was a danger to other members of staff’.

In other claims, Mr Lafeuillee made a vague allegation that he was harassed because one colleague would serve him a drink in a London Pride glass.

He also said he was discriminated against because one co-worker said ‘yabba dabba doo’ – a phrase from the TV show The Flintstones – in his direction.

Dismissing all of his claims, Employment Judge Fowell said: ‘We bear in mind that this was a diverse workforce and that Mr Lafeuillee was treated with considerable restraint and consideration for most of his time at the company, such as in connection with the steak incident.

‘[The allegations] are largely the result of misinterpretation or have an innocent explanation

Digital 9 warned that its stake is worthless because the value of the investment has fallen below the level of debt it took on to acquire the shareholding from the Canada Pension Plan. Digital 9 insisted there was a “credible pathway to value in certain scenarios”.

Key details from recent reports (as of 2025):At 31 March 2025, the BBC Group net debt stood at £1.6 billion, within an approved limit of £3 billion. This includes borrowings used for commercial purposes.

The Commercial Group is self-funded via profits, retained cashflow, and external debt. It utilizes borrowing facilities to drive growth and commercial investments.

Borrowing has increased in recent years to support activities; for example, facilities have been expanded (e.g., references to higher limits like up to around £600 million or more in prior updates for BBC Studios).

Decisions to borrow are assessed for repayability and value, often for acquisitions or to monetize content long-term.

The public service side remains funded by the licence fee (around £3.8 billion in 2024/25), with commercial profits helping supplement it, but the debt is tied to commercial operations. This is based on the BBC’s Annual Report and Accounts 2024/25, parliamentary scrutiny (e.g., Public Accounts Committee reports), and related financial overviews. The BBC’s commercial borrowings are government-approved and monitored to ensure they don’t impact public funding or create unfair advantages.

At this rate there will nothing left to pay DJT’s legal fees

Fergal Keane to leave the BBC after 37 years
During his time at the BBC, Fergal has become one of the most recognisable and respected voices in world affairs
      https://www.bbc.co.uk/mediacentre/2026/fergal-keane-to-leave-the-bbc-after-37-years
Fergal is completing his first novel and working on a new work of non-fiction. He plans to create longform content in film and audio, and continue his association with the BBC.

      ……………

As of the July 2025 BBC annual report, Fergal Keane, working as a Special Correspondent, had a salary band of £235,000-£239,999 for the 2024/2025 financial year. This represented an increase from his 2023/2024 salary, which was in the £225,000-£229,999 range. He is consistently listed among the top 25 highest-paid BBC journalists.

      ………………

      2024/2025: £235,000 – £239,999
      2023/2024: £225,000 – £229,999
      2021/2022: £210,000 – £214,999
      2020/2021: £205,000 – £209,999
      2019/2020: £205,000 – £209,999

Estimated Annual PensionAssuming:37 full years of pensionable service.
Final pensionable salary ≈ £237,500 (midpoint of the 2024/25 band £235,000–£239,999, as a conservative estimate; actual could be slightly higher or based on a specific definition).
Standard 1/60th accrual with no major reductions/credits/caps applying (common for long service in these sections).

        Annual pension ≈ (37 / 60) × £237,500
        = 0.6167 × £237,500
≈ £146,500 per year (gross, before any tax or options). If using the lower end of the band (£235,000): ≈ £144,900.
        If the upper end (£239,999): ≈ £148,000.
If exactly £237,500 midpoint: around £146,500.

Fergal doesn’t need to get out of bed

How sad that Sir Jim was forced to apologise, and by that ordure Starmer of all people.
Still, at least he got a national debate going.
Even the vile BBC was forced to repeat his statement and thereby got his words ‘out there’ among the population.
Hopefully, too, Starmer’s caving in to muslims will have lost him what few sensible voters still remain, and will be remembered at the next election if he’s still in place.

He only felt a bit sad for the idiots who were ‘offended’, Vlad, so good luck to all the sobbing marxists, squealing into their lattes in the beeboid tea-rooms!

Talk Radio had everyone supporting Jim Ratcliffe, and he’s up there with big employers like President Trump – they make business work!

Lefties just squabble, fart around, ‘administer’ stuff they don’t understand and never contribute to anything except the bile lake.

Another old time drone, on exorbitant salary plodding along on the ever lasting bbc gravy train funded by the immoral tele tax imposed on us by various gutless politicians.
The worrying thing is, these lifelong bbc types actually believe they are worth their ridiculously salaries .

        I think you’re right, Pete!

I know a few people who’ve once worked for the bBC, and despite the fact that they’re now retired, (like I am – a really grizzled old sod), the mindset is still drilled into their psyche!

I actually like to listen to them, they’re friends, they are mostly on their own, and somehow, you can ‘feel’ the beeboid tentacles still circulating the aura around them in the pub, or the living room – sadly not the bedroom in one particular case, but that’s for Fed to monitor and exclude, with a gasp and a pitying smile)!

Naturally, we never get to the discussions about politics and the far-left bBC, because at our ages, well, why bother…

But they’re still friends, and perhaps they’ve eventually joined up with normal people.

Can we check the financial prospects for ‘Buckie’ up there?

Just asking for my great friend, Jockie MacJockface…

I love the Scots (except when they play rugby), and they taught me real engineering business and hard graft – and they paid me well too!

I also love the Welsh too, ditto!

      Why the f**ck aren’t I Prime Minister…

(Not being a wanker sort of marxist, piggy-eyed lawyer is a bit of a giveaway, Scrobs – Ed)

I know it might come across as a little misogynistic, but ITV are showing the “MENS six nations Rugby” with all deference to the women’s game.

Anyway, let England thrash Scotland later this afternoon.
