I see that the despicable bunch of marxists are trying to arrange a household tax to replace the licence fee that is becoming so unpopular. CO2 Capture and storage. I thought, probably along with many on here, that CO2 capture and storage was an unrealised and unproven technology and largely a wet dream fantasy of Millibrain and Green activists. Think again, CO2 storage projects are being actively built right now, at huge cost.
One project I know of is the Peak array which pipes CO2 from cement works in the Peak district all the way for 139 miles to the Wirral to be piped out to an old gas field in Liverpool Bay and pumped down the well. There is a large amount of CO2 processing infrastructure at both ends as well as the pipeline. The BBC mentions a cost of £60m, pull the other one I say. You couldn’t think of a finer way of increasing the cost of cement and hence construction costs of housing etc. There will obviously be a large taxpayer subsidy.
“The UK has an estimated 78 billion tonnes of theoretical
storage capacity in the North Sea, vital for hitting net-zero targets. The government is investing £9.4 billion in two main clusters—HyNet and the East Coast Cluster—with plans to rapidly expand to over 100 storage licenses by 2050”
CO2 is not TOXIC is is vital to all life on Earth, particularly PLANTS love it, More C02 the faster they grow. Your Supermarket food is probably grown in Tents with CO2 vents – ADDED- to aid healthy plant growth. All Farmers would know this. Without Nitrogen Fertilzer (which they also seek to ban) would lead to starvation in the third world and very high food costs in the UK. This project is a huge waste of money. It so daft that anyone connected with this must also know it its stupid. Its basic pre-war Chemistry called the FABER BOSCH process…
It would be suicide if they succeeded. So it must be designed to fail. Its an engineering impossibility to account for all natural emissions, let alone industry.
The pipes will no doubt be made from Chinese steel which being of variable quality is then likely to corrode and leak sooner. Homes near to the pipeline best get CO2 detectors!
In the US I hear people talking of ‘tax payer dollars’ when referring say to the misappropriation of money to, for example, the Somalis in Minnesota. I try to use ‘tax payer pounds’ when talking to people about ‘free’ breakfast clubs or the enormous cost of net zero. I also like to point out the idiocy of climate change on particularly cold days, but that is another story.
Flotsam
I don’t know about CO2 storage but I reckon the coming week will see attention switch to gas storage if there is really only 2 days’ worth … fortunately the weather forecast for the coming week doesn’t appear to be too chilly ….. but the cost / availability of fuel gas – or whatever it’s called – will bring the pains on …. Similarly with petrol . I’ve already seen that invoices for heating oil has leapt compared to say – 10 days ago ….
oil prices on a global scale are a zero sum gain
when the price to someone goes up, the income of the producer goes up
And the US is the worlds biggest producer so the incomes and tax paid will go up at the same time the prices for consumers does.
However in a country like the UK where the fakegreens are switching off oil extraction
we benefit little
but have to pay foreigners much more to buy oil off them.
I vaguely remember the things in the first picture, I believe that they’re called an ironing board and iron. I can’t remember the exact date but I’m sure I used them last summer to do a shirt for Mr Kitty as we were dining out.

Ah, Nigel Farage and his Reform party’s immigration policy… for some reason I’m put in mind of that old BBC comedy sketch show Goodness Gracious Me, starring the likes of Sanjeev Bhaskar and Meera Syal, and in particular their classic skit “Going for an English” featuring the characters demanding the “blandest thing on the menu” to mock stereotypes of British food.
Yes, I’m afraid Reform policy is a bit wishy-washy – but I suppose they’re still the best option as an alternative to a vote for None of the Above.

Over the past decade we have become used to the effect of TDS on the human mind. We have seen sensible and fair commentators such as Andrew Neil lose their objective thinking and descend into OrangeMan bad speak. Or Janet Daly in the Telegraph write nothing but columns dripping with invective against Trump regardless of the topic she is supposed to be writing about.
But the Iran war is taking TDS brain scrambling to new heights and sees sufferers pleading for clemency for a regime which presided over spreading terror and death for fifty years. The regime has been responsible for millions of deaths and yet many in the commentariat simply can’t bring themselves to admit that President Trump is pursuing a just cause on behalf of the entire West.
Many TDS sufferers are urging negotiations when the evil regime is tottering. To my mind because they fear a Trump victory more than they do leaving the evil regime intact. Such people should not be allowed to wield weapons as powerful as pens .
I am fascinated by TDS. I can only think there is subliminal as well as overt messaging on main stream media. Maybe photos of Trump dressed as the devil, eating babies, or anti Trump messaging very briefly flashed into BBC News, The Repair Shop or Bridgerton. It is the only explanation why right wing friends send very antiTrump jokes to me on Whattsap or throw away lines attacking Trump when talking about the weather or something else totally unrelated. I don’t react to the Whattsap messages but in conversation point out that over half of Americans could see in Trump more than the BBC allows us to see.
Much of the TDS is diversionary, to keep prying eyes well away from the utter disgrace of the Clinton and Obama years.
It seems only recently, that some pretty weird and really nasty files and further revelations on these people have surfaced after quite some time, and if rabid commentators on the left insist on bashing TDS into everyone’s head, it doesn’t seem illogical that the alternative news may just be the truth. The awful, far-left bBC is continually doing this, and there must be more than their marxist ‘state funded misinformation’, lurking in the background…
Luckily I always ignore all the tiresome crap they spout, and usually come here for real news – then listen to Talk for a bit of like-minded company!
Deborah,
A relative of mine is a football nut who was going to go to World Cup in the summer but told me that he has cancelled and lost his £500 deposit. I assumed that it was because of the problems in Mexico where some of the games are to be played but no , when I asked he said it was because of Trump !!
Now as well being a football nut he is a retired GP who has also been a vociferous Labour supporter ( the two often go hand in hand ) but even allowing for left wing lunacy to cancel and lose £500 because the President is someone you don’t like is bonkers. So perhaps your idea about subliminal messaging holds water.
Anyway I gave up supporting England at football some years ago when the team stopped being English so now I am supporting the USA and looking forward to watching the President enjoying watching his team win.

Yes, during World War I, members of the militant suffragette movement (specifically the Women’s Social and Political Union – WSPU) participated in the “White Feather Campaign,” a, initiative designed to shame men into enlisting by gifting them white feathers as symbols of cowardice. Led by Emmeline and Christabel Pankhurst, these suffragettes paused their fight for votes to support the war effort, aligning themselves with the government to pressure men to fight.
When they put the statue of the suffragette woman up in parliament square in 2018 I almost wet myself laughing, I often comment that the IRA must worship them as the first letter bombers.
“Estimates of how many migrants will seek to benefit from the scheme vary, from the government’s figure of about 500,000, to that of a report by the police’s National Centre for Immigration and Borders (CNIF), leaked to the media, which suggested that between 750,000 and 1.1 million is a more realistic number.”

According to experts, victory over the Islamo-fascist lunatics running Iran will have all sorts of benefits in the real world.
But here’s one, perhaps unintended but extremely important consequence, that’s not understood or talked about by most commentators: the killing of Khamenei is having a catastrophically devastating effect on muslims throughout the world, both Shite and Sunni. which will lead to the further disintegration of Islam and the acceleration of what muslims themselves are calling “the avalanche of apostasy”.
In the clip below, David Wood explains why, clearly and concisely. Well worth a watch.

I keep hearing that only a small minority of our population either support of have a favourable opinion of Trump.
Mainly from the barmy lefties that GB News keeps giving voice to as I don’t watch bbbc or the rest of the msm.
Is this actually true?
All the things he is doing seem common sense and things like upping the NATO contribution percentages are highly desirable if we want to keep a safer Europe.
His immigration policies are the right thing to do and he is sticking up for the USA with things like his tariffs. How can it be fair if other Countries charge so much more than the USA.
I don’t believe anything the msm put out such as the USA are against what Trump is doing with Iran. Do they want Iran to have the bomb? That’s the outcome if they are against Trump.
Everything he’s doing is good, he’s a patriot which is the opposite of our government.
Maybe I’m only getting opinions off places like this where similar thinking people contribute but I simply can’t understand why so much airtime is given to anti Trump types.
I wish we had an equivalent here running GB.

In March 2022, the month after Russia invaded Ukraine, Trump’s predecessor former President Joe Biden ordered the release of 180 million barrels over six months – the largest sale ever from the emergency stash. ATTACK ON SAUDI ARABIA
Yemen’s Iran-aligned Houthis attacked Saudi Arabia in 2019, prompting the shutdown of more than half the crude output in the world’s largest exporter. Trump, then in his first term as president, said his administration stood ready to tap the SPR if needed. Ultimately that did not happen as oil output recovered quickly from Saudi Arabia’s Abqaiq plant and Khurais field.
LIBYA CIVIL WAR
In June 2011, former President Barack Obama ordered the release of 30 million barrels of oil from the reserve to offset disruptions to global markets from civil war in oil producer Libya. That sale was coordinated with the Paris-based International Energy Agency, resulting in an additional 30 million barrel release from other member countries.
OPERATION DESERT STORM
In 1990-1991, after the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait, former President George H.W. Bush sold about 21 million barrels in two phases. In October 1990, the U.S. ordered a 3.9 million barrel test sale. In January 1991, after U.S. and allied warplanes began attacks against Baghdad and other military targets in OPEC-member Iraq as part of Operation Desert Storm, Bush ordered the sale of 34 million barrels, of which 17.3 million barrels were sold. https://www.reuters.com/business/energy/how-have-us-presidents-tapped-strategic-petroleum-reserve-during-war-2026-03-02/

“A British museum has covered up the portrait of a slave-owning former Bank of England governor in what it says is a bid to ‘reclaim Caribbean history’.
London Museum Docklands has concealed the 19th century painting of Beeston Long, who held the top job at the central bank from 1806 to 1808, using a multicoloured cloth.
The painting is currently housed in an exhibition titled Caribbean Voices: Shaping Docklands, which is a ‘museum trail’ that ‘highlights the need to reclaim the histories of colonised Caribbean nations’.
On a plaque in the exhibition, the museum said there had been concerns the the painting could ‘sanitise’ or ‘obscure’ the connections to slavery which in turn can ‘evoke emotional responses’.”

How does a multiple US strike make an Iranian missile unlikely?
And how did 168 children die in this strike?….seems a large number.
The BBC in fact have no solid proof…just a video provided many days after the event by the Iranian government…
‘A video published yesterday by Iran’s semi-official Mehr news agency’

The likelihood is that the US did hit the school by accident….but this video is not gold-plated cast-iron proof of that but that won’t stop the BBC as they push and ush this story in order to try and change the American Public’s view on the war…..Zurcher admitted as much this morning claiming that the majority of Americans are now against the war and that this strike on the school ‘plays a large part in that’.

“The government (USING TAX PAYER MONEY) is investing £9.4 billion in two main clusters—HyNet and the East Coast Cluster”
Can anyone tell me the date of International Men’s Day? As long as it follows International Women’s Day, I don’t mind.
I vaguely remember the things in the first picture, I believe that they’re called an ironing board and iron. I can’t remember the exact date but I’m sure I used them last summer to do a shirt for Mr Kitty as we were dining out.

I’d like to apologise to any international women for not mentioning their day in the site header – likewise for anyone from the commonwealth for not mentioning their day – which apparently is Monday 9th .

RUSSIA INVADES UKRAINE
In March 2022, the month after Russia invaded Ukraine, Trump’s predecessor former President Joe Biden ordered the release of 180 million barrels over six months – the largest sale ever from the emergency stash. Biden and Trump have slowly bought some oil to begin to replenish that, but little has been returned as Congress needs to provide more money to do so.

Malcolm X initially preached that white people were “devils” responsible for the oppression of Black people, advocating for black nationalism, separation, and self-defense. His views evolved after a 1964 pilgrimage to Mecca, where he embraced orthodox Islam and moved away from the belief that all white people were inherently racist.
“SPECIAL EDDIE” SEEKING RELEVANCE AGAIN…..
Good old Eddie, the nation’s favourite stunt man…..no not” Eddie the eagle” ( l might be tempted to vote for him in some way) ….oh, no, I speak of Eddie Davey, who tried to climb up on the world’s stage today, to announce that the Government must, it simply must do something about the situation in Iran. When asked what…..he said , “ah, well it’s difficult , but something must be done.”
Well as the hours passed he has come up with a brilliant idea…stop the King’s visit to the U.S.A. …..brilliant Eddie, that’s a great solution..
Do tell us what’s been solved though..
Give missiles ID cards and stop the Iranian ones?!
BBC going to town on the alleged missile strike ‘on a school’ in Iran….they have verified….er…that there was some sort of strike….’near the school’.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cvg548lyjnyo
I’m sorry…what’s the logic of this?…
‘Experts who have seen this latest video told us the presence of a Tomahawk missile, along with evidence the area was hit with multiple strikes, indicates this was a US operation……It would also make the scenario of a single Iranian missile hitting the site at the same time and causing such a high reported death toll highly improbable, an expert told BBC Verify.’
Watching it and the explosion is very small for a supposed Tomahawk missile….there seems to be no actual explosion just an unusual and very narrow smoke plume that rises straight up rather than spreading out as you might expect……was it AI or GI generated?
The likelihood is that the US did hit the school by accident….but this video is not gold-plated cast-iron proof of that but that won’t stop the BBC as they push and ush this story in order to try and change the American Public’s view on the war…..Zurcher admitted as much this morning claiming that the majority of Americans are now against the war and that this strike on the school ‘plays a large part in that’.
The BBC focusing so much on the school being hit is deliberate and political and intended to stop the war by turning voters against Trump….how unusual for the BBC of course.
It’s a shame that the bBC get all heated about a possible school being hit in Iran, when somehow, they conveneintly never report about the thousands of British white school children being raped by foreigners?
Some of their problem is they just look away when the likes of Savile keeps the gullible public paying the TV tax – they are the elite ‘slebs’ after all…
Odd that – morals? My arse.
Pug, the bombing apparently happened at the weekend. Iranian children have lessons Monday to Friday. Unverified.
I wouldn’t fancy being a bodyguard having to follow Iran’s latest Ayatollah about.
He’s got a 72 year old virgin to look forward to after he’s been blown up – they’re queueing up for the job!
Here’s a tenner, get them all doing the ‘protecting’.
