There is, of course, no such thing as an ‘epidemic of violence’ against women and girls. The majority of people murdered, roughly 2/3rds of them, are men. Men are massively over represented when it comes to being assaulted, stabbed, murdered, being homeless, committing suicide, being injured or killed in industrial accidents. Oh yes, and having to fight and lose their lives in time of war.
The misandric rant on the BBC points out that the majority of women are murdered by men rather than other women. That is regrettable, as are any murders, but is a reflection of biology and nature and not one that social engineering is likely to address, no matter how many anti-male Netflix fantasies are quoted in the House of Commons. Notable that the BBC is happy to use statistics which point out group variations when it suits their agenda, much less so when those statistics go against the narrative, such as the disproportionate number of murders and sexual assaults committed by certain foreign nationalities.
By way of balance, here’s a picture of three people who were murdered in Nottingham, also from the BBC ‘news’ website today. Two thirds of them seem to be male, as per the national statistics. And if scroll down the article you can see a picture of the convicted killer.
