ELECTION FRAUD

Yes, it’s one of those stories the BBC seems rather averse to covering. B-bbc contributor Alan says…

“One of the major contenders for election as Mayor of London has been caught out, red eyed and red handed, faking tears for the camera….tears are not the only things being faked…it seems the ‘genuine” Labour supporters clammering for another Livingstone term of office were in fact actors.

How do I know this? Guido Fawkes and Harry\’s Place reveal all.
http://hurryupharry.org/2012/04/13/yes-i-faked-it-admits-ken/#comment-738809

However the BBC seem so choked with emotion and excitement that Ken could be back that they can’t quite get round to reporting this chicanery. Wouldn’t do to publish anything that might lose a Labour candidate votes eh? If only Spitting Image were on our screens again….Looks like Gazza wouldn’t be the only dummy spurting tears for the camera.”

IN HARMONY ABOUT THE DISHARMONY…

Biased BBC’s Alan notes;

“Whilst the BBC is able to hide its dirty washing under cover of the Freedom of Information Act’s get out clause….’for the purposes of art, journalism or literature’ it is not above using Art, Journalism or Literature to slip us some hokey leftwing propaganda under the radar. BBCR4 ran ‘Who’s Angry now?‘ checking out the protest song movement for signs of life now the Tories are back in power (well very nearly).

The Bard of Barking (Mad)Billy Bragg let the cat out of the bag by telling us that a Tory government being elected was like leaving lard balls out for the birds…the protesters all come flocking….so not really about policy…more just anti-Tory discrimination regardless of policy….and note… not a word about 13 years of one of the most incompetent, corrupt governments this country has been blessed with.

As usual the BBC programme ran true to form and began with the Satanic Handbag Swinger, Mrs Thatcher, but naturally went on to CND, the Iraq War, the recent riots, banking and ‘Occupy’….occasionally giving us a bit of music but not letting it get in the way of the various protesters given a platform to air their pet grievances that have been vexing and burdening them since the onset of a Tory lead government began to torture their consciousness.

Who’s Angry Now?
http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b01fjx67
Broadcaster and journalist John Harris was in his teens at the height of the Thatcher years and protest-song obsessed. In this programme, he goes on a journey to meet some of today’s musicians who are sufficiently fired up to sing socially and politically conscious music.

A Lefties best friend is his dogma and you wouldn’t mind but the very righteous and multi-cultural BBC and fellow media leading lights, so concerned with diversity and equality, in the privacy of their own agendas don’t quite live up to the ideals that they espouse and force upon the rest of us:

The Independent reveals that all those media talking heads telling us that we must have a fairer society and social mobility have been caught out…the reality is somewhat different for them…..

‘The British film and television production industry is dominated by the middle-classes who “hoard” opportunities and benefit from family ties, new research has found.
A survey of professionals in the industry has found that working-class people are discriminated against because they do not have the “right accents, hairstyles, clothes or backgrounds.”’

CLUTCHING AT STRAWS

Richard Black is back and our intrepid B-BBCcorrespondent Alan picks up on Black’s latest desperation…

“Richard Black reports on a reporter reporting on Climate Change…though he is a foreign affairs reporter in the main not an environmental one and definitely not a scientist….Nothing like using another reporter’s ‘views’ as back up for your own when you can’t get the science to add up…..but Black clearly likes the idea that climate change was the driving force behind the Arab Spring.

@BBCRBlack via Twitter
Thomas Friedman joins dots between the Arab Spring, water shortages and climate change http://t.co/zA3Xm77A
http://www.thenewstribune.com/2012/04/11/2103001/climate-change-is-the-unseen-player.html#storylink=cpy
‘Climate change is the unseen player in the Arab Spring.

“Isn’t it interesting that the Arab awakening began in Tunisia with a fruit vendor who was harassed by police for not having a permit to sell food – just at the moment when world food prices hit record highs?’

We should listen to Friedman…everyone else does and modifies their policies accordingly…..says a friend of Friedman’s on Wikipedia…..

‘In February 2002, Friedman met Saudi Crown Prince Abdullah and personally encouraged him to make his comprehensive attempt to end the Arab-Israeli conflict by normalizing Arab relations with Israel in exchange for the return of refugees alongside an end to the Israel territorial occupations. Abdullah proposed the Arab Peace Initiative at the Beirut Summit that March, which Friedman has strongly supported since.

In May 2011, it was reported in The New York Times that President Obama”has sounded out” Friedman concerning Middle East issues.

UNSETTLED!

Biased BBC contributor Alan picks up on the fact that Richard Black has been busy since returning from his holidays…too busy to see this (or report it) from highly respected scientists and those who doubt the ‘Consensus’:

‘We, the undersigned, respectfully request that NASA and the Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS) refrain from including unproven remarks in public releases and websites. We believe the claims by NASA and GISS, that man-made carbon dioxide is having a catastrophic impact on global climate change are not substantiated, especially when considering thousands of years of empirical data. With hundreds of well-known climate scientists and tens of thousands of other scientists publicly declaring their disbelief in the catastrophic forecasts, coming particularly from the GISS leadership, it is clear that the science is NOT settled. The unbridled advocacy of CO2 being the major cause of climate change is unbecoming of NASA’s history of making an objective assessment of all available scientific data prior to making decisions or public statements.’

THE SCREAM…

I’m cross posting this by my fellow writer Mike Cunningham over at A Tangled Web as it is spot on topic;

“When I first read David’s other blog ‘Biased BBC’, which concentrates on exposing the ridiculous and harmful attitudes resident with the Beeb, I will admit that I thought I had perhaps spotted a flaw, but for the life of me, I just couldn’t place a finger and state ‘’That is the problem’. This feeling remained in the background until this morning, when I heard the latest hard- and soft-lefty ideal tripping gaily out of the mouths of two of the BBC’s favourite people on the Today Programme at 07.32 a.m..

The subject was a report on the employment statistics regarding young Black people, and the inevitable conclusion that young Black people were routinely subject to discrimination in the employment market because of the colour of their skin. We were treated to two short ‘interviews’ with two young black men, and given a short treatise on their searches for work, and their rejections after numerous interviews; and so on, and on, and on!

Bonnie Greer, the Beeb’s favourite coloured person, along with Tony Sewell, mutually agreed that the British ideal of an open labour market was totally biased in favour of white people, and what they longed for was a short, sharp helping of the American ideal of ‘Affirmative action’ which would then help ‘level’ the labour market, whilst giving all these underprivileged black youngsters a ‘leg up’ into the jobs market. It is true that these two black people probably honestly believe that they know the solution to an immensely difficult problem, without ever stepping back and asking themselves, “Is this the correct solution, to legislate on the basis that everyone, of whatever skin colour, is exactly equal in terms of mental capacity, upbringing, social cohesion or work ethic? Should we push for the British equivalent, for ‘positive discrimination’, because we just know that is has worked so well in America?”

I then realised why the title of ‘Biased BBC’ Blog was wrong all along. It should be re-named, ‘The BBC is the Bias’.

After that turgid listening experience, I just knew exactly how Edvard Munch, the subject of the previous slot broadcast on the Today Programme, felt during the time he spent painting his masterpiece!”

WHO PAYS THE FERRYMAN?

Interesting to read that the BBC has spent more than £2 million ferrying and flying staff and guests between London, Manchester and Salford in two years, despite promising to employ more people locally.

New figures show the public service broadcaster paid for more than 24,000 train journeys and at least 500 flights between the capital and the North West, where its new media centre is based. The train travel bill totalled more than £1.84 million while air mileage cost licence fee-payers nearly £77,000. The corporation’s bill for rail journeys increased by nearly 30 per cent in 12 months, the figures released under Freedom of Information laws show.

Recession? In fairness I suppose the key question here is not the total cost of flying and ferrying staff ie the £2million – although that is important – but whether this is an incremental £2 million or have they saved costs against this move in other ways?

But then this…

MediaCity in Salford is to employ more than 2,300 staff in departments including BBC Sport, Breakfast, Radio 5 Live and Children. Earlier this year, it was disclosed that only 26 new jobs had been awarded to locals. The total number of Salford people working building, which cost £650 million to build, totals 117. A further 90 support staff are also working at BBC North, which has cost the corporation nearly £190 million to set up.

26 new jobs for locals seems a tad light on it – is there not the local talent?

COMPARE AND CONTRAST…

Interesting comparison here by Biased BBC contributor Alan;

“A family of Jews is slaughtered, literally, and in the most cold blooded way. The BBC did not report it and a search of there news site will turn up only three reports….and note one headline….suggests a just cause for killing the Fogel family…they were ‘West Bank Settlers’.

On the other hand black teenager, Trayvon Martin, is shot in America and there is report after report after report….and this is only the first page shown here.

Look for yourselves.

Guess we know where the BBC\’s sympathies lie.
