MYTHS

A Biased BBC reader writes;

“Frank Gardener, the BBC’s security correspondent, today condemned the government for not taking Abu Hamza seriously as a threat…this from a man who works for an organisation that told us Al Qaeda doesn’t exist in its programme ‘The power of nightmares’ (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/3755686.stm) …..

‘In the past our politicians offered us dreams of a better world. Now they promise to protect us from nightmares. The most frightening of these is the threat of an international terror network. But just as the dreams were not true, neither are these nightmares.

At the heart of the story are two groups: the American neo-conservatives and the radical Islamists. Together they created today’s nightmare vision of an organised terror network.’
Should we be worried about the threat from organised terrorism or is it simply a phantom menace being used to stop society from falling apart?

In an age of growing disillusion with politics, the neo-conservatives turned to fear in order to pursue their vision.

They would create a hidden network of evil run by the Soviet Union that only they could see….and then of course the idea that we are threatened by a hidden and organised terrorist network is an illusion.

It is a myth that has spread unquestioned through politics, the security services and the international media.’

So there we have it…not only does Al Qaeda not exist but the Soviet Union didn’t either….or certainly not the highly militarised and invasion prone ‘Evil Empire’ that we knew and loved.

JUST ANOTHER PROPHET

The BBC’s contempt for those of us who carry a Christian faith contrasts nicely with its deep concern not to offend those who follow Mohammad or indeed any other faith. Take this item on the Today programme this morning concerning the death of Indian “sage” Sai Baba. In the commentary by the BBC presenter , Jesus Christ is referred to as “another prophet”. Just to be clear – Christians do NOT view Christ as “another Prophet.” This causal insult to British Christians is par for the course from the profoundly anti-Christian State Broadcaster.

MORE?

Do you share his pain?

Despite paying annual salaries of hundreds of thousand of pounds, Mark Thompson claimed it was “extremely hard” to fill executive roles as the broadcaster tried to cut costs. In the past year, the BBC has pledged to reduce what it pays in some executive roles after repeated criticism.

Mr Thompson is trying to find a new director of television after Jana Bennett left the public service part of the BBC to join BBC Worldwide, its commercially-funded arm. Miss Bennett’s remuneration in the last financial year was £517,000, but it is understood that the salary on offer to her replacement could be less than £400,000.

Even so, Mr Thompson told a House of Lords committee yesterday that it was “not true” to say there was a “long queue of people” for top positions. “It’s extremely hard now to fill senior jobs in the BBC and increasingly remuneration is a factor,” he insisted.

Maybe we should all offer to pass the hat around for the £3bn a year poverty strucken BBC?

BACK FOR ONE NIGHT ONLY!

Still electioneering but wanted to highlight this story for you! Does Al Queda have sympathisers in the BBC?

The files, obtained by the WikiLeaks website and passed to The Daily Telegraph, disclose that a phone number of someone at the BBC was found in the phone books and phones of a number of extremists seized by US forces.

A detainee assessment, dated 21 April 2007, states: “The London, United Kingdom (UK), phone number 0044 207 XXX XXXX was discovered in numerous seized phone books and phones associated with extremist-linked individuals. The number is associated with the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC).” Analysis by The Daily Telegraph suggests the number is one for Bush House, home of the BBC World Service.

The assessment continues that US forces uncovered many “extremist links” to this number, suggesting that extremists could have made contact with BBC employees who were sympathetic to extremists or had information on “ACM [anti-Coalition Militia] operations…”

I’m surprised that Bin Laden doesn’t have the State Broadcaster on speed dial……

ENDA ON AN AUSTERITY BENDA?

Anyone catch the odd interview here with Irish PM Enda Kenny on BBC “Today” this morning? The line being taken by Evan Davies was that Ireland should follow Iceland and choose to default on its massive debt. Enda, being a good little European, insisted that Ireland was 100% committed to “colleagues” in the EU. Wonder why the BBC were wanting him to suggest he might follow Iceland? – one way to get him to admit unswerving to the EU? Give it a listen if you get a moment…

JUST ANOTHER BIASED MONDAY….

Well, Universal Shami was never going to see anything POSITIVE about the policing of the “Trade Unionists against Reality” demonstration in London a few weeks ago and so it is natural the BBC afford her a soapbox to spout her predictable bile against the Met. Since when did Shami represent anything beyond a little liberal clique and why does she be given such massive prominence? Why was there no other group holding different views represented? And why did the Met allow her access to be able to watch the policing of our Capital?

BRITAIN CAN’T TAKE IT

This is a guest article by Hippiepooter, make sure you give it a read as it covers quite a few biased bases…
“How much longer can we tolerate the Thought Police tyrannythat is the BBC?  Britain as a nation is on aprecipice and it is BBC bias thathas led it there.
Nothing highlights BBCbias more than thispiece on the TODAY programme last Thursday on the Prime Minister’s immigrationspeech.
The ‘interview’ itself was mainly Justin Webb harrying andhectoring Immigration Minister Damian Green. It was preceded by a couple of clips from UKIP and the BNP (falsely tagged on the link as “a debate”).  Clearly, framing the Damian Green ‘interview’this way was a device to lump the Tories in with the BNP.  If anyone can recall a Labour politicianbeing on to express disquiet about immigration and being trailed by a BNP spokesman sharing his concerns, please let usknow.
Justin Webb had also claimed that besides the commentssolicited from UKIP and the BNPthey had asked the Labour Party to comment but they said they would wait tillafter Mr Cameron had made his speech.  Idon’t buy it.  If we are going to judgethe TODAY programme on past form as an adjunct to the Labour Party, as I thinkwe must,  a far more plausibleexplanation is that Labour colluded with TODAY to set up the Tories for theabove smear.
The Mail Online also reportstoday how another core Labour insider has said that the Labour Governmentlied about immigration.  Groundbreakingstuff.  But not part of the news agendathat the TODAY programme wishes to set.
Sir Andrew Green also has an article in today’s Daily Mail asking‘Whyis the BBC STILL so hideously biased on immigration?’.  He leads with the TODAY piece.  Its well worth a read, and well worth notingthe balance and perspective he draws in contrasting BBC Radio 4 with BBC5Live.  Its essential that we ourselvesdraw this balance if we’re ever going to stand any chance of dealingeffectively with a BBC that overall has been a cancer eating away at our societyfor a good few decades now.
In the last couple of weeks we have seen the BBC celebratethe recreational hooliganism of the Brixtonriots and the copycats that followed as a ‘people’suprising’, the HonLouise Bagshawe MP complaining to the BBCover its callous indifference to the Fogel family murders, MelaniePhillips’ open letter to the Culture Secretary to investigate the BBC’s anti-Israel bias, and pulling out all thestops, as we see above, to rig the immigration issue.
If Britainis to survive in any meaningful form as a democracy, urgent and drastic actionis needed to rid the BBC of itssundry and myriad subversives and restore the impartiality for which it wasonce rightly renowned.”
