CBBC HORRIBLE BIAS

A B-BBC reader observes..,

“For the mostinsidious kind of BBC brainwashing-stroke-propaganda, you should take a closelook at a few episodes of Horrible Histories on CBBC. This ‘humorous’programme, aimed, naturally, at children, is rife with politically correctreinterpretations of history.

Two days ago we were treated to a sequence demonstrating medicine in the MiddleAges. The black Arabian doctor invariably dispensed natural, workable herbalremedies, along with profound wisdom, while the white European doctor waspresented as a complete barbarian, hacking off limbs for no apparent reason. Incase we missed the message, we were then literally told, as fact, that Europeanmedicine was backward compared to the enlightened Arabian version.

Earlier today, we had a presentation about the British Empire . Need I even gointo detail? The sequence ended with Queen Victoria singing a song about’British Things’, only to be corrected by a courtier who informed her thateverything she assumed was British – such as tea, and cotton (?), etc – was infact stolen (their word!) from poor downtrodden overseas countries.

This series is shown daily, I believe, and repeated endlessly. The drip, drip, drip of daily, anti-British propaganda is shameful and sickening.”

COMPARE AND CONTRAST…

Did you catch sneering Humphyrs interview with David Cameron here? Notice how former BBC idol, Saint Vince, is now restored to heroic status by Humphrys because of his musings on the need for “liberal” laws on immigration. Cameron was constantly bated by Humphyrs on this, just as he was constantly derided on the “Senior/Junior Partner” lines. Shortly afterwards there was a fawning interview with Jack Straw in which he was allowed to get away with the wild claim that Labour has not gerrymandered the English constituencies for petty Party advantage without so much as a whimper of comeback from the Today poodles. More and more Today has morphed into the last bastion of the Labour Party. At our expense, of course.

A BBC VIEW RARELY HEARD ON THE BBC!

Despite the relentless opposition to the liberation of Iraq, just occasionally the odd sensible comment gets through the propaganda machine..

Frank Gardner, BBCsecurity correspondent tells us what he thought of the 2003 invasion of Iraq…46 mins in.

‘….a massive mistake on many fronts….but having been there we knew what ahorrible regime it was. One of Saddam’s cronies kept a mangle through which hewould feed his enemies feet first. The removal of Saddam and his odious sons removed forever the threat of thatregime ever getting nuclear weapons in the Middle East. This was a regime that invaded Iran invaded Kuwait and butchered the Kurds andyou need to remember that.’

Maybe Frank could spend a little more time updating his colleagues as they seem uniquely ignorant, or uncaring, of this perspective?

TRAINS, PLANES AND AUTOMOBILES…

Here is a programmethat is on the face of it a harmless trip back in history…but there is anagenda…certainly from the BBC….pro nationalisation, anti-car and pro AGWbelief.

‘Ian Hislop goes off the rails’…first broadcast in 2008 and again this week. The timing surely to coincide with the non-Labour government’s plans to makecuts and improve efficiency in public services. Hislop rounds off the programme with this appeal….

‘How far do you go with cutting a public service in the name of efficiencybefore you lose the whole point of it, not just with the trains but with buses, post offices and the NHS. It’s the same argument.”

(no idea what IH’s politics are….but these words fit the BBC world viewnicely). The BBC blurb for the programme:

‘…was Beeching little more than Ghenghis Khan with a slide rule, ruthlesslyhacking away at Britain’s rail network in a misguided quest for profitability…or the fall guy implementing a short sighted government policy favouring thecar over the train? Knowing what we know now, with trains far more energy efficient andenvironmentally sound than cars(?) perhaps Beeching’s plan was the biggestfolly of the 1960’s.

So there we have the BBC world view in one programme….pro big government,anti-profit, anti-business, anti-car, pro AGW and anti- Tory…..funny how manycuts the corporation is making in its own budget whilst railing againstgovernment cuts.

DRONE DRONE DRONE..

Sunday Morning Live replaces the awful Big Question. Hosted by the lovely pouting Susanna Reid, it kicked off this morning with the usual BBC mantra – time to get out of Afghanistan. In fact the line being debated was “Are our soldiers dying in vain”. The BBC is keen to use the loss of soldiers lives over there to whip up support for their militant pacifism and evidently care little for the impact these discussions have on the next of kin. It is an article of faith in the godless BBC that the British Army should never go to war and so it uses every opportunity to press it home. For good measure they had a guy on from the Muslim Public Affairs Committee to give his sage advice which involved cutting deals with the Taliban.

Next up for debate – should we be allowed to help kill our relatives? BBC not keen on the war on terror but very keen on advocating euthanasia. Then, Erin Prizzie to express her sympathy with child killer and child porn devotee Jon Venables.

PINK IONA

Thought for the Day is usually a political exercise, not a moral or religious one. The other morning the BBC gave Anne Atkins the chance to argue for the Burqa in the UK (yes, no kidding) and today we had John Bell of the Iona community on to advance the latest Stonewall agenda item that the media is too harsh on how it portrays gays. TFTD is simply politics by other means and it is remarkable how few real voices of dissent get the chance to ever express an opinion on it. Why not replace with with a 3 minute silence, it would be more constructive?

LORD HAMAS…

And so the week draws to an end on Today and what better way to conclude things by providing Lord Patten with a soapbox from which he can advance his endless attacks on Israel – this time without any pesky dissenting voices…via technical breakdown, natch.

His Lordship has been off to Gaza again to see his pals there and naturally is back to ensure Israel gets the blame for the self inflicted problems of Hamastan. At one point Patten, to his monumental shame, chooses to equivocate between the credentials of Hamas and Israel. If pushed, I reckon Patten believes Israel to be a terrorist state. He also side steps the issue that Hamas seeks the utter destruction of Israel whilst claiming that Fatah are the good guys when in fact they continues to deny the reality of the existence of Israel.I find Patten absolutely repellent and yet the BBC cannot get enough of him. I wonder why?
