JEREMY BOWEN WRITES..

I wondered what you think of the following comments made by Jeremy Bowen? “After inflicting so much pain and death, Israel still says that Gaza’s civilians are not its enemy. That is something that Gazans – and millions of others in this part of the world – do not believe.” I am sure he includes the BBC in that number, don’t you? Also, after Hamas firing rockets into Israel AFTER the ceasefire came into effect, I was curious as to why Jeremy has not asked his excellent UN for a comment on this act of war?

BLACK AND GAY?

I see that Nicky Campbell on “The Big Question” on BBC1 this morning has been asking the question that is surely uppermost in all our minds at this time “How long before Britain gets a Black Prime Minister?” Nicky also wondered when the first “openly” gay PM would come to power. (Does Nicky know something about Gordon he’s not letting on?) How about a Black and Gay PM, Nicky? Of course this is all part of the vacuous hype leading to “Call me Abe” Obama’s coronation next week and the BBC is to the fore in cheer-leading for this. Well worth you license tax.

CEASEFIRE.

To be honest, I was sorry to see tonight that Israel has called a ceasefire. It would be best that the IDF/IAF continue to pound every Hamas savage into the dirt of Gaza but I guess this was an inevitable political gesture considering the Obama coronation coming to you 24/7 early next week. I caught Jeremy Bowen commenting on this announcement on the 10 News and was struck by his once-more repeated admiration for the Hamas policy of what he calls “Martyrdom and sacrifice” aka hiding behind women and children and finessing homicide bombers in the kindergarten. The BBC still refuses to share with us how many Hamas terrorists have gone in to meet Allah prematurely, instead preferring to imply that Israel has only killed innocents during this campaign. The coverage of this military campaign against Hamas is a textbook example of BBC bias against Israel and all the reason in the world why we should not be funding such naked anti-semitism .

OBAMA IS LINCOLN

The Obama fever that infects the BBC was manifest in an item on the 10 News that I just watched which in essence compared The One to Abraham Lincoln. It”s amazing to watch this Beeb sycophancy, presented to us as news, from the same broadcaster which waged unrelenting hostility to the Bush presidency over the past eight years. Now that their man is about to get into the White House you can be sure that all reporting will be sanitised, ensuring that any objectivity goes out the window.

THE WETURN OF WOSSY

..

So, foul mouthed 40’s something egomaniac adolescent and glittering star within the BBC firmament Jonathan Ross is due to return to our screens, a truly chastened figure! Erm well not!

The Mail reports that “Despite the fuss he caused, provoking an unprecedented 42,000 complaints following his obscene and distasteful ‘prank’ call with Russell Brand to Andrew Sachs, Ross has a simple attitude to the furore – which is that people need to ‘get over it’.” It appears that no extra measures are being put in place to prevent the creation of further offence. ‘The code of compliance is just as it was before,’ confirms a Radio 2 spokesman. And, astonishingly, the BBC claims it has had no extra meetings with the star during which taste and standards were discussed. There will be no extra supervisors in the studios looking over his shoulder and the chain of command will remain just as it was before all the fuss. Even the question of what Ross might say at the Baftas – which will go out before the 9pm watershed – is being regarded with studied nonchalance.

Is anyone surprised? The BBC showed a lamentable lack of understanding of the offence that Wossy caused in the first instance and has made this compounded this ever since by demonstrating a revolting combination of arrogance and contempt for the license-payer.

COMING CLEAN.

I see the BBC is reporting that Gordon Brown, he who has saved the world, has urged the banks to “come clean” over their toxic debts so people could start “trusting them” again. It’s just one more puff piece aimed at presenting Brown as an honest bloke who just wants all those nasty private financial institutions to be like him and plainly share with the public just how inept they have been. Given that Brown has spent the last decades lying through his teeth to the public, this is a bit rich. Once again we see the BBC running an item solely aimed at glorifying Gordon when all the evidence is that this hypocrite would not recognise the truth if he stumbled across it!

WAR CRIMES?

UNWRA goes on the offensive against Israel, and describes what it terms “an attack” on a Gazan school as a “war crime”. The it phones Jeremy Bowen, and the idea is now being propagated that Israel must be tried for war crimes. What sickens me is that the BBC must know that Hamas are committing war crimes on a daily basis and not ONE of their intrepid reporters has thought of asking their pals in UNWRA if using women, children, hospitals and schools as shields is a war crime? In the BBC campaign against Israel, Hamas are never guilty and Israel is never innocent.

TRUCE OR HUDNA?

I am sure that the BBC knows the difference between a truce and a hudna so why does this report make reference to Hamas offering a 12 month truce? I reckon that after the pounding Hamastan has taken it will need at least 12 months to rebuild itself militarily. A hudna is of no benefit to Israel and yet that is what is being retailed by the likes of the BBC as the best possible outcome. I hope Israel is more precise in what it accepts from Hamas than the BBC.

REPARATIONS NOW?

I noticed that the BBC ran an item on “Today” this morning concerning the demands from some of those who have suffered grievously at the hands of the IRA for financial compensation from Libya which supplied the IRA with weaponry. Fair enough, but I’m just wondering why the BBC reporter did not see fit to enquire why it might not be quicker to seek reparations for IRA murder… from the IRA? Their senior leaders are now seated in the government of Northern Ireland and their organisation is flush with cash. I know it’s not quite bias, but it is an obvious question and one that the BBC does not ask. Why? Are some questions forbidden?
