“TRUCE OVER”?

Do you like the way in which the BBC portrays David Cameron’s decision to “break” his “truce” with the Dear Leader? Once again, the Conservatives are being portrayed as the bad guys because they dare dissent from Gordon’s world-view. Cameron is absolutely right to point out that Brown has his grubby-fingerprints all over many of the economic woes that afflict us but the Brown narrative is that our problems all originate in the USA and the BBC then uses this to suggest that a dissenting Cameron is being unreasonable.

WHY NOT 101%?

The BBC has given great prominence to Ed Miliband’s declaration that the UK must meet an 80% reduction in carbon emissions by 2050. (In for a penny, in for a Euro, why not make it 101% Ed) As with all BBC coverage of AGW, there is only ever one-side to the argument. There will be many people who will view this political and legal “commitment” as more of an imposition on future generations, a scorched earth policy by a spectacularly ignorant Labour government. However they are given no voice. BBC orthodoxy requires total subservience to the AGW creed and no dissent must be allowed.

FROM ZERO TO HERO!

It just gets more surreal. Anyone catch Mark Wardell’s stomach-churning salutations for the Great Leader on the Ten News? I thought it was really bad even by BBC standards and Wardell even referred to Prudence as “the Saviour of global capitalism”. (This the man who has semi-socialised our banking system!!) As if that were not enough the BBC went on to approvingly quote the EU call for “transparency, accountability, responsibility” in future international financial dealings. Anyone got an update for me on the signing off of the EU annual accounts?

NOT ALL RELIGIONS ARE EQUAL

Been away all day so just catching up! Was interested to read that the BBC’s Kommissar General Mark Thompson has admitted that the broadcaster has to tackle Islam differently to Christianity and is reluctant to broadcast jokes about it. In other words, the BBC is dhimmified, prepared to set a different standard for Islam and back away from any critique of the ROP. Not really a surprise, and we have frequently discussed how this policy manifests itself day in day out. But perhaps the more salient point is that given Thompson’s admission of bias in favour of Islam, how can the BBC continue to allege it is impartial?

DEAD WOOD.

Did you see the BBC shilling for Brown again this morning? It asks, and I quote, “Gordon Brown is due to launch a masterplan to save the world’s rainforests by paying developing countries for not chopping them down. Environment analyst Roger Harrabin reports on whether this new plan will be successful.” A masterplan, eh? Paying people for doing nothing? Think welfarism but this time with trees.

LOVING THE SUICIDE BOMBER

I caught the 8.45am item on the Today programme run by Paul Woods which involved an interview with an 18 year old Gazan homicide bomber. She was allowed to claim that her pending self-explosion was a response to those bad Jews bombing Mosques whilst the faithful are at prayer. No rebuttal of this outrageous Palestinian slur was permitted but then again since the BBC cannot bring itself to even accept that Hamas are bloodthirsty terrorists, who’s surprised?

THE WAR AGAINST CHRISTIANITY

The Telegraph reports on a forthcoming BBC drama which promises us “a graphic murder, homosexual sex and the exorcism of Mother Teresa.”

“The series depicts a man possessed by the devil and being skinned alive in a gay sauna. Another episode shows a father threatening to sexually assault his daughter while in another, Mother Teresa is seen on her death bed. In other scenes blood drips from the eyes of those supposed to be possessed by the Devil. The series, called Apparitions, was the idea of the actor Martin Shaw, who also stars in it as a Roman Catholic priest. ”

When it comes to Christianity – plus ca change? Still waiting for the BBC drama series which challenges Islam. That one seems to be delayed for some reason….
