FRIDAY IS OBAMA DAY.

Gotta love Today. This morning I heard Thought for The Day pass off Obama’s teleprompter gaffe on St Patrick’s Day as proof he is human (don’t recall Bush getting the same generosity?) and then the BBC ran the spin that Obama “couldn’t believe” that AIG were going to pay out bonuses. Since the legal provision for this was signed into law by Obama, and drafted by a senior Democrat, he is either incompetent or else he is lying – which is it and why does the BBC choose to swallow the entire Obama propaganda line? Bias – it’s always there.

OBAMA WORSHIP

.

Anyone catch the gushing BBC coverage of the Obamessiah’s speech to Congress? It’s not reporting folks, it’s a fan-club. Justin swoons that “the war on terror is over” (Who won, Justin?) and the rest of the BBC fan base masquerading as journalists seem utterely incapable of dissecting the trangenerational debt policies unveiled as “investment.”

IN THE COUR

T OF KING OBAMA.

If this was a Republican Presidency, the BBC would be ALL over any mistakes but of course we live in era of The One and so critical faculties are ameliorated. Yet ANOTHER Obama nominee withdraws – this time Judd Gregg. I noticed the BBC chose to present this more in terms of the GOP Senator not being prepared to embrace Obama “reach out.” i.e Blame Judd, Not Obama.

In actual fact, what this really demonstrates is very poor judgement by Obama as he sets a new Presidential record for failed nominees. However the BBC always tries to help their man in the White House and as B-BBC reader Jason picks up, it finishes this report with another unsubstantiated claim from Obama that his magic “stimulus” (transgenerational theft) will save thousands of Caterpillar jobs. Turns out this is pure rubbish, but the BBC leave that out. As we go through the early days of the Obama Presidency, BBC attempts to spin in favour of The One look more and more desperate.

THE MESSIAH SCREWS UP

.

I see the BBC has been reporting that Obama, using that famous rhetorical flair that sets him head and shoulders over his predecessor, has admitted that he “screwed up” over his choice of some senior nominees. Daschle and Killefer have fallen from grace even before they could ascent to upon high. This follows on from the Bill Richardson fiasco and then there is the pesky ongoing problem with Geithner! In all cases, paying tax seems to be a problem for these senior Democrats. With Obama’s poll rating now lower than those Bush recorded at the same time in 2000, who does the BBC get on to discuss this fall from grace? Yes, a former Clinton speech-writer. What could be more balanced? Each time Bush made any error, it was accompanied by media sneers from his arch rivals. But when Obama can’t seem to select anyone who is not a tax dodger, all we get is a sympathetic hearing from a fellow Dem! I also note that the BBC has been portraying Obama’s condemnation of the “Buy American” clause inserted in to the Trillion dollar bail out as evidence of his sensitivity to international trading opinion. But this “Buy American” caveat was inserted by his own Party – doesn’t Obama even know what they are doing? Once again, a complete lack of critical questioning from the BBC! They want to lie back and close their eyes and pretend all is well in this era of Obama despite the evidence that their Messiah has all too evident feet of clay.

Apologies …

… for repeating some of David’s post, but it’s 22.13, we’re watching the 10pm news, and I have a bet with my son as to when the BBC producers will turn away from the magical fairytale in Camelot and address the possibility that the United Kingdom economy may be about to collapse. 10.17 is our current guess, but it could be later – perhaps in the “and finally …” segment.

22.16 – “And now Middle Eastern reaction to the inauguration …

(I have another bet – that tomorrows 6pm news will tell us what Obama had for “his first White House breakfast”)

UPDATE – 22.19 “And here, more grim news on the economy“.

(I see the BBC are bigging up our current “low inflation” and the prospect of “increasing the money supply“. Invest in wheelbarrows now !)

THE ADORATION OF THE OBAMESSIAH

Ok, we all know that the BBC is going overboard as it hypes up the inauguration of Obama tomorrow. I thought it might be good to gather as many example of this as possible. I happened to catch Thought for the Day this morning to hear The One being compared to Moses. That was quite impressive. The Abe Lincoln comparisons have been coming thick and heavy as well! Any catch your attention? I have to be honest and say my stomach is not strong enough to watch the BBC Obama-fest even though, like you, we are forced to pay for this indulgence.

OBAMA IS LINCOLN

The Obama fever that infects the BBC was manifest in an item on the 10 News that I just watched which in essence compared The One to Abraham Lincoln. It”s amazing to watch this Beeb sycophancy, presented to us as news, from the same broadcaster which waged unrelenting hostility to the Bush presidency over the past eight years. Now that their man is about to get into the White House you can be sure that all reporting will be sanitised, ensuring that any objectivity goes out the window.

OBAMA-NATION.

I was reading through this press release for Obama, disguised as a BBC news story. It’s headed “Obama plan “could create 4m jobs” and it has the most superficial examination possible of The One’s great econmic plans. Curiously, there is no balancing mention of the staggering levels of trans-generational debt his plan will impose upon Americans. There is no mention of the fact that each job Obama “could” create is going to cost in excess of €250,000. This is what we are going to get for the next four years from the BBC. Obama worship. There will be no effort made to actually assess the value of what he is doing, all that matters is that he is doing it. Growing the State, wealth-redistribution, increased taxation – you can understand why the BBC love him.

ALL INNOCENT

Have to laugh at the content of the BBC item “Scandal probe clears Obama team.” Phew, what a relief that is knowing that The One’s team had “no inappropriate discussions” with Illinois governor Rod Blagojevich. That’s the review conducted by Greg Craig, one of Obama’s trusted legal advisers. Not even a trace of a conflict of interests there then, right? Naturally all this Obama sanitisation is swallowed by the BBC’s intrepid journalists.
