After 4 decades of murderous Socialist dictatorship with a boot on the neck of Eastern Europe, with the deaths of millions in the Chinese ‘Great Leap Forward’ towards their Socialist nirvana, with millions of people around the third world terrorised by socialists waving Soviet supplied AK47s you might think that a right thinking person would be wary of Socialists who proclaim they have the answer to what ails us as a society.

And you’d be right….except of course there is little right thinking in the  champagne quaffing Socialist haven known as the BBC.

There the danger is of Hitler rising again, of Fascists marching across Europe…..Greece is the new Weimar Republic…no, really…the Greeks are about to vote in another Hitler and he will set out to take Moscow and blitz London.

If only  those loveable Socialists were in control, how wonderful life would be.

And surprise surprise……the BBC’s real target….denouncing those who want to limit immigration…..not so subtly labelled racist and extremist by association….

Of course historical parallels are never exact but we can always learn something from the past.

And this eurozone crisis is not just a financial one – in many countries it has become an acute social and political crisis too.

If some of the potential outcomes are dangerous, we cannot say we have not been warned.

Across the continent “mainstream parties are very committed to freedom, democracy and European values”, the President of the European Commission, Jose Manuel Barroso, pointed out in a BBC interview.

“[But] I think we have to be vigilant. The old demons are still there.”

You could of course accept the truth of some of that….except the same treatment is not given to the threat of the Socialist ‘Old Demons’ which are as active as ever and have formed a union with Islamists in the hope their aims will be furthered…..a warning from history for them….Iran.

In fact many of the Socialist ‘Old Demons’ are given pride of place at the BBC….Paul Mason for instance…..& Martin Jacques and Slavoj Žižek…..

“You’ve had your anti-communist fun,”  writes Žižek, “and you are pardoned for it – time to get serious once again!”

For Žižek, “getting serious” also apparently means a commitment to pure will, ruthless dictatorship, “divine terror”, and disciplined organisation as the necessary tools to abolish liberal democracy and impose Communism, or what he breezily calls (as if Stalinism never happened!) “absolute Truth … designating the ethically committed ideal Order of the Good”.

Finally, getting serious means embracing violent excess and even self-sacrificial death as salvific. Risibly, Žižek invites today’s young revolutionary to adopt the “proper attitude of a warrior towards death.”

….er….I have to admit to a sneaking admiration for Žižek…at least on a short acquaintance with his work…..he talks a lot of sense….and seems to be mocking rather than supporting Communism (when you read his work….you can’t help but get a nagging feeling that it is an elaborate prank.)….he admits to being ‘some sort of Communist’.…he admits the Left have no answer except ones that ‘frankly Hitler would have agreed with’……Hitler = Occupy…there’s a thought.

And the clincher for me….

“We in the West are the Last Men,” he writes, “immersed in stupid daily pleasures, while the Muslim radicals are ready to risk everything, engaged in the nihilist struggle up to the point of self-destruction.”

Socialist or not…..at least he has noticed the truth….Muslims have an endgame in sight and are working towards that with a determination and ruthlessness that the West doesn’t dare use to defend itself….it doesn’t even dare to acknowledge that Muslim intent let alone act against it.

Harrabin does a wash up report on Doha  with a decidedly pro-AGW stance….even claiming Hurrican Sandy was a result of AGW.  Rather than a balanced report of the politics and science he just lists as many scaremongering items as he can whilst assuring us that everyone believes in AGW and that decisive action must be taken to save the world…and especially the poor nations of the world……..and remember children….fossil fuels can’t be burnt without wrecking the world!

Harrabin’s notes: Kyoto rumbles on

Since the protocol was constructed 15 years ago, greenhouse gases have risen relentlessly. [But not temperatures Roger eh?  Forget to mention that?]

Authorities warn that on current trends the Earth is, at best estimate, likely to exceed the 2C temperature rise agreed as a limit by all governments.

Some think the climate will heat by as much as 6C…….scientists warn….there is no credible scenario for adapting to temperatures at the upper limit.

Already, with a global temperature rise of 0.8C, even the US faces challenges. President Obama has asked for $60bn in the aftermath of “Superstorm” Sandy and New York may need to sacrifice Brooklyn to save Manhattan if a hurricane strikes again….Imagine how Niger will cope. Or Bangladesh, where the delta cannot be protected by sea walls without unimaginable expense. Or Nauru in the South Pacific.

The Doha conference did take a  step towards acknowledging that rich nations may have an obligation to compensate poor nations which suffer irreparable damage from climatic change.

But all the nations in Doha agree that cuts need to be deeper and faster, preferably carried out by someone else. They don’t doubt the mainstream science on climate change.

By December 2015 all the world’s nations are due to have agreed a comprehensive deal to co-operate on an equal footing to tackle climate change…….The world’s nations will have to be ranked on a sliding scale with the richest polluters expected to cut most and contribute most cash towards helping the poor get clean energy and adapt to climate change. In future they may also be expected to compensate people if their land goes under the waves.

….the overall pace of change is totally inadequate…..Some blame politicians but they underestimate the scale of this political task. In the UK the Chancellor has already secured a review of climate laws because they impose short-term costs on people already struggling to pay energy bills. And the big incumbent fossil fuel firms insist that they are allowed to extract all their reserves even though the International Energy Agency warns that the fuels can’t be burned without wrecking the planet.

So who is winning the climate battle?

Little wonder that some people are gambling that the Earth proves more resilient to CO2 than the vast majority of scientists believe.

Last one has rapidly run out of space…….

The BBC’s Danny Shaw on Victoria Derbyshire’s show (1 hr 37 mins) did a piece on Theresa May’s immigration speech….his report was pretty balanced and even managed to put Labour in the frame for their immgration policy…although he did say he would be checking the figures given by May and their sources…usual BBC….Tory says something , must be suspect…..unlike Mark Easton who never checked  Labour’s figures and defended them like his pension depended upon it.

What was surprising was Shaw’s reaction to May making the connection between housing problems and immigration……He said…

‘She also referred to something I hadn’t heard before…she said immigration had actually increased housing demand in Britain….1/3 of new housing being built for immigrants and housing might be 10% cheaper if it were not for this extra demand.’

He’s got to be kidding right?  He’d never made a link between housing shortages and mass immigration?  He must listen to the BBC for his news….it is rare to never when the BBC makes that connection…..how many ‘debates’ on housing shortages and the need to build more houses  for the mysteriously growing population have avoided any mention at all of immigrants on the BBC?  Many many many.

Still…maybe this report is the start of a new open and honest attempt to bring us the news as it is  not as the BBC would like you to hear it.

A good example here of the  particularly hostile  and hopeless interview technique employed by Evan Davis in which he allows his own antipathy to Tories to override his professionalism…..as per normal in fact…..the interview is  ruined by Davis’ interruptions and completely fails to deliver the incisive and informative exposition of Osborne’s policies that we expect but as often as not fail to receive on the Today programme driven as it is by its own political leanings and the egos of men (mostly…see below) who have become complacent and arrogant in jobs they have been allowed to occupy for years.

‘BBC presenter Evan Davis was under fire last night following an extraordinary interview with George Osborne in which he repeatedly talked over the Chancellor as he tried to answer questions.
Downing Street complained to the BBC following the 13-minute encounter on Radio 4’s Today programme because of the ‘unacceptably hostile’ tone of the interview.
Mr Davis is said to have been ‘spoken to’ by managers, although the BBC denied he had been reprimanded. Downing Street is thought to have received an apology.‘

Last night, Mr Davis said: “There is some confusion around just now, but just to clarify: I have not been told off for the way I interviewed the Chancellor today.”

Here is Davis again….demanding more women on the radio…..how about fewer middle class English graduates or politics/economics/philosophy graduates and more right wing and working class presenters…..and not ‘working class’ as in Stacey Dooley…who was dragged in off the streets to work for the BBC because she displayed the appropriate empathy and sympathy for the downtrodden of the Third World, traits which made her an honorary member of the BBC club.

‘Mr Davis, one of the public broadcaster’s leading interviewers, said the BBC needs to do “quite a bit more” to promote female presenters on air.
Speaking at an industry awards ceremony yesterday, the veteran journalist said there was “definitely” more effort needed to promote women within the media, particularly the BBC.

“On my own programme … we are acutely aware of our own shortcomings in this department, and we’re acutely aware of our own shortcomings when it comes to broadening the mix of guests we have to make sure that we don’t just go for the same old blokes.’

It’s not so much they go for the same ‘old blokes’ it’s that they go for exactly the same type of ‘old bloke’ or indeed woman in the case of Shirley Williams or Helena Kennedy.  The same old boys reliably ready to support the BBC position on any subject from climate change to Europe or immigration or the economy, not to mention willing  to slip in a good word for Islam.

Lots of musicians, artists and writers brought in….to talk about their ‘Art’ but of course it soon turns to their politics…and they’re all Left wing.

The BBC are shameless about their use of guests on their shows…the ability, the power, to choose the ‘appropriate’ guest, to ask the right questions, to shape the narrative so that only a particular point of view is possible, to limit the bounds of any debate to give the impression of free debate but in fact to tightly control what is ‘allowed’ to be spoken,  to edit the whole so that it is orchestrated to ‘force’ the viewer or listener to accept what they want them to accept as truth.   The BBC have an extraordinary power which they also have a duty to use responsibly….a duty which they consistently fail to fulfil and in doing so damage democracy and society by allowing only certain ‘voices’ to be heard and silencing the inconvenient other.

Which brings us back to Evan Davis trying to shut down George Osborne and not let him explain his policies.

No finer example of the new media ‘priesthood’ in action is in fact a real priest….the Reverend Richard Coles….Justin Webb is right wing compared to him.

Here he is eulogising on the divinity of Squatters. (about 50 mins in)

Shame the rest of the ‘real world’ disagrees with his, and Sian Williams’, mewlings over the righteousness of Squatters…….just about every email or text read out afterwards expressed a forceful opposition to his forgiving nature in regard to squatters moving in.

TB was wiped out in the UK……it is now on the rise again…brought in by immigrants mostly from Africa or the Sub-Continent.

The UK has had the highest incidence in the Western World over the last 5 years….mostly in London…due to immigration.

The BBC thinks the problem is not the uncontrolled immigration of high risk people but the failure to test properly (26 mins 40 secs)….the presenter doesn’t mention immigration at all in this report…despite the ‘expert’ interviewees repeatedly saying this was a problem of immigration policy.…in fact he several times cuts off the experts when they start to suggest immigration is a problem….. ‘..it’s not a problem of identifying the population involved’.

Remarkable that he can get through a whole interview without mentioning the ‘I’ word himself or asking what is the cause of this TB outbreak….purely seeking to find a ‘solution’…but if you don’t know the cause how can you identify the solution?
The BBC’s solution to the TB outbreak is apparently  merely a blood test, not checking immigration,  just as the  the housing problem caused by mass immigration is not actually caused by immigration but by the lack of houses…..so the answer is, not reducing immigration, but  building 250,000 houses a year, every year, for our new Britons to live in…though not sure who will pay for those houses.…hang on…I was forgetting Keynes and Flanders.…building houses employs builders….whom we pay and they pay taxes from that pay which go towards paying for the houses.  Simple…a virtuous circle.

Is there a blood test that detects all the rapists, credit card scammers, robbers, murderers and drug gangs that cross our borders importing their criminal habits?

Just think of all the people that would still be alive or untraumatised by crime now if Labour hadn’t allowed uncontrolled mass immigration into this country….just think if we had had a Public Broadcaster which held government to account and had actually challenged the legitimacy of Labour’s secret policy.

Labour has a lot to answer for….but the BBC has just as much as it allowed Labour to get away with it….and still does.

The BBC dismiss the thousands of Palestinian rockets that  bombard Israel as something and nothing…homemade, inaccurate rockets that do little damage and scare nobody….and anyway the Israelis have bomb shelters and Iron Dome….no problem.

How different when it is on our own doorstep….as in Northern Ireland when a  single ‘homemade’ pipe bomb (and they are usually relatively small) is found…suddenly that is news…a ‘viable‘, and therefore dangerous, device was  found, and reported with due concern and gravity by the BBC yesterday.  NI breathed a sigh of relief…safe for now.

Here is a BBC report on a rocket being found…note it is also homemade…and note how dangerous the police think it is…..

A senior police officer has said he has no doubt the rocket was to be used to try and kill his officers.
Chief Supt Stephen Martin said “This a weapon which is used primarily to attack armoured vehicles and kill the occupants of those vehicles,” Chief Supt Martin said.
“Unfortunately it has been used extensively in places such as Iraq and Afghanistan to deadly effect….So we are obviously concerned that there was one of these in the city last night, but delighted that we have been able to take it out of circulation before it was used for its deadly purpose.” ‘

Pretty clear…homemade but still lethal.

Note also this report…a councillor has her windows smashed and house attacked by a rock throwing mob……she is terrified……if only it had been merely Hamas homemade rockets…then she could have relaxed….nothing then to fear….

‘The home of an Alliance party councillor was attacked in County Down overnight.
The party said windows were smashed and a car also damaged at Linda Cleland’s house in Newtownards.
“I saw this tall hooded person in my garden – I have a rockery – and they were lifting the boulders,” Councillor Cleland said.
“There were more bangs and I heard people on the roof and then I phoned 999.
“They’ve literally put in all my downstairs windows, they’ve put in all the windows of my car and they’ve put in one of my upstairs windows. I have never been so scared in my life, or felt so helpless.” ‘

Shame the BBC doesn’t allow the same sense of danger concerning such weapons and attacks when reporting about attacks on Israel….Why doesn’t it?  Because of course to do so would ‘legitimise’ the Israeli response to such a bombardment….can’t have that when we all know Israeli actions are the disproportionate use of force by a savage army, and quite probably war crimes.

And this is from a Today programme a while back with Justin Webb reporting on the ‘Peace Walls’ in Northern Ireland….just think how the BBC report on the Israeli security barrier and compare….

Justin Webb tells us that communities in NI are still separated by high walls...‘and they need these walls’…these ‘peace walls’ as he called them.  He noted that there were now more peace walls built than before the ‘peace agreement’ and the ‘surrender’ of the IRA..….’13 miles of wall in Northern Ireland and more going up as the peace deal is signed, 40 years of fence…peace lines…to stop bricks and petrol bombs being thrown through windows and terrorising toddlers and pensioners.

The walls are thick enough to stop a bomb and with metal railings high enough to stop even the most athletic bigot getting a brick or bottle over the top.’

So there you go, bigots, bricks, bottles, petrol bombs and the odd pipe bomb merits a huge ‘peace wall’.…

But Israel’s security fence is all about apartheid.  And it is mostly just ‘fence’…the walled parts are there to stop Palestinian snipers shooting across the border at Israeli civilians.

Never mind that the wall has stopped the incidence of suicide bombers and decreased attacks on Israelis enormously.  Security or ‘peace’ doesn’t seem to be an issue for the BBC in this context…the wall is an Israeli land grab and forced separation of Jews and Muslims….despite there being a massive population of Arab Israelis within Israel’s borders.

Webb did have one interesting question…he asked if the IRA ‘dissidents’ were deranged or psychopathic….when have they ever asked this about Hamas or Muslim killers?

Here’s a classic piece of BBC propaganda eulogising the benefits of the BBC defined multi-culturalism and ‘diversity’ in ‘From Our Own Correspondent’.
It starts off with a tale of  Italians of Austrian descent wanting to break away from Italy….and you might think  ‘That’s odd, the BBC illustrating that multi-culturalism doesn’t work!’….but you’d be jumping the gun…of course.  Read on and you soon realise that it is just an excuse to blame such ‘tensions’ on the Nazis and Fascists who want you to ‘integrate’ and speak the national language and join in with the rest of society…..however good Europeans (in this case  Barbara in ‘PR’…a media job…as she sat drinking cappuccino in a medieval courtyard in Bolzano. ) love being European, diverse and multi-lingual…it enhances their life so much……and relations can improve if only you compromise….and see how they did that…..by granting ‘autonomy’ to those who didn’t want to integrate……

That’s the solution that you can guarantee will be ‘floated’ here soon in regard to certain ethnic or religious minorities…set up your own ‘state‘….in fact it already has been….one suggestion being that London, with 1 million Muslims, be turned into an ‘Islamic’ city…..that’s of course what we really need….lots of mini-Pakistans, divisive blots on the British national landscape.

That does seem the likely result of the BBC’s ‘enlightened’ approach…any other…such as expecting people to ‘integrate’… is to be reviled and maligned as only something the Nazis would do.
