Curious how the BBC so often only refers to Corbyn as ‘leftwing’ in its news reports [Despite knowing Corbyn was firmly on the side of the quasi-Marxist hard left.] when those of similar strength of convictions on the Right are ‘Far Right’ and Farage is constantly alluded to as someone not unlike a Nazi…even today on Dead Ringers he was slandered as a racist xenophobe for his opinions on immigration…proof of his xenophobia? He has a German wife.
Funny how the BBC often refers to the ‘dark days of the 80’s’ when looking at Corbyn’s politics because in reality they take the country back to the ‘dark days’ of the 70’s….have to assume this is just evidence of the BBC’s obsessive hatred of Thatcher……
Jeremy Corbyn’s election as Labour leader, at the age of 66, must count as one of the biggest upsets in British political history.
To his critics, he is almost a caricature of the archetypal “bearded leftie”, an unelectable throwback to the dark days of the 1980s, when Labour valued ideological purity more than winning power.
To his army of supporters he is the only honest man left in politics, someone who can inspire a new generation of activists, and make them believe that there is an alternative to the neo-liberal Thatcherite consensus that has let them down so badly.
The BBC and its funny bunnies have a very mixed reaction to politics, depending on ideological preferences.
Some may remember the comedic goldmine to Farage/UKIP reacting to less than even-handed coverage at times during an actual election of the public (which did not pan out the way the BBC wanted at all). Mockery the order of the day.
However, Jezza gets his ‘people’ to whinge about a Panorama they don’t like, not on facts but the fact it happened at all, and barely a peep of derision.
Solidarity with a fellow traveler?

Norman Smith also described Corbyn as ‘hard left’. Also described as the ‘archetypal “bearded leftie”, ‘a radical left winger’, ‘Firmly on the left of Labour’, ‘a member of the Socialist Campaign Group’, and as reported by the BBC, said of Marx; “He was a fascinating figure who observed a great deal and from whom we can learn a great deal,”.
He’s not all bad though, he’s also on the All Party Parliamentary Group for Cheese.

Waiting for the BBC’s (tired) comedy panel shows to lay in to Corbyn in the manner they do with Farage.
…Nope aint gonna happen.

The bBBC showed his victory speech, where mention of the communist Ralph Miliband got the most applause, then Corbyn singing the Red Flag during the anti-British pro-foreigner rally in the afternoon. But they still can’t bring themselves to mention that he is a Marxist/ Trotskyist/ communist.

Ignoring the tip aspect; just noting the casual conflation between BBC and ‘ as left wing as it gets’

“when those of similar strength of convictions on the Right are ‘Far Right’ and Farage is constantly alluded to as someone not unlike a Nazi…”
The real irony here is the fact that Corbyn gives overt and unstinting support to REAL nazis. The Palestinian terrorists, which he calls “friends”:

Farage has wrongly been labelled a Nazi with zero evidence whatsoever of any Nazi like-thinking at all.
Compared to that, Corbyn’s sympathies for an organisation which prays for a resurrection of the Nazi Reichs is a slam-dunk peice of proof that Corbyn IS a Nazi!
