    “Terrorist Charge Plumber Remanded”

Sounds like a crossword clue – which I suppose it is, in a way.

    And the answer is ……

    🙂

The BBC has to really careful.
One badly judged news item could stir up plumberphobia.
Plumbers could be lynched in the street!
There could be needless attacks on plumbing supplies or even builders merchants, as other trades come under suspicion – after all, it happened to…

    Oh.

    Err.

    Sorry, no it didn’t.

The BBC authorised version seeps even into documentary programmes produced by independent academics.

Lord Winston, a practicing Jew, has a series “The story of God”.

After interviewing militant atheist Richard Dawkins, Winston decares that it is certainty that is dangerous.

He immediately turns his attention to intelligent design & states that it is supported by President Bush.

This is untrue. Bush’s position being

President Bush said Monday he believes schools should discuss “intelligent design” alongside evolution when teaching students about the creation of life.

    http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/n/a/2005/08/01/national/w200833D87.DTL

In other words Bush really shares Winston’s view, he doesn’t claim certainty & wants people to be provided with all arguments.

Winston then spends much of the rest of the programme dealing with American fundamentalists. Whilst Bush gets no further namechecks the audience has had him firmly put in that camp by Winston’s introduction.

Thank God someone is concerned about the terrorists. This will never be included because it includes God and terrorists, two things the BBC don’t believe exist.

Thanks for that link, Ritter. Interesting stuff already well appreciated by B-BBCoids. The BBC as a threat to national & local newspapers, magazines, commercial local radio & internet operations.

And the sector of the media not mentioned by Preston? Commercial TV, who are quite happy about the continuation of the licence fee (strongly endorsed by ITV boss Charles Allen in evidence to a Parliamentary committee). They’re happy with the BBC not being a competitor for advertising revenue.

Well spotted I watched only 2 mins of BBC output and it was the bit you mention.( two mins is about all it takes). George Bush is a Christian not a Christian fundamentalist. America is a more Christian country than this one but then vertualy all non muslim countries are. 40% of the Dutch for example attend church once a week. There are more Christians in China than in Britain. The BBC is dangerous and have lost all sense of self control. A shame that a man as loved and respected as Lord Winston has been used in this way. Just shows how low and sinister they have got. The BBC insults the inteligence of the American people by its policy of constantly underminding there elected representative. The point that G.W.B. has far less power over his people than T.B.does over his is not mentioned. He is also elected in person by a far higher poportion of his electorate. The Americans are hard working organised and smart they dont elect religous fools because a fool could never apply for the job. We did not elect a religious lier TBs party did. The people of Britain did not elect anyone at the BBC and so can not get rid of them when they scew up. Or stop paying the TV tax. Which is why they now do nothing but scew up. Wonder if Lord Winston is feeling a bitt like Winston Smith today. I do.

Of cause the biggest insult is to us which the BBC hold in compleat contemp,by thinking we cant see though them and there dodgy employees.
At least we now have the internet or I think we would be in a state of tottal dispair. Probely why they want to bugger that up as well.

This is why the BBC must be closed.
1 If it is closed it will not compeat with independant operators.
2 It would stop any politicins corrupting the process of change.
3 Leave the space for a free market alternative to invest where they see a demand.
4 Leave the time for most of the BBC employees to find alternative more honest employment. Like setting up a second hand car selling business.Or estate agency.

Britain really needs to get control of its plumbers! Egads, who’d have thunk it? Plumbers are the true enemies of Western civilization. I’ll be sure to observe my own Roto Rooter man very carefully next time he calls. You can never tell; whatever’s ailing British plumbers may be catching.

    Torture in Afghan ‘secret prison’

    runs the headline. Not

    ‘Torture’ in Afghan secret prison

    or

    ‘Torture’ in Afghan ‘secret prison’

Curious. Perhaps the last (and most appropriate) version might make the story look a bit too much like gossip.

Watch out! There are plumbers about. They are truly ‘nuts’ because they often use nuts, even wing nuts in their dirty jobs. Anyone want to name the different types of nuts recognised by the plumbers’ union? Send the completed list to Fairness for Plumbers, Lead Door Behind the Fitters Arms, Trench St. opposite Beeboid Hall, Shepherds ‘Bush’ (not GWB.

  21. Peter the Plumber says:

    Anti-plumberism is no laughing matter!

The vast majority of plumbers are peace loving, hard working, tolerant people. Nowhere in the manuals of plumbing can you find anything about carrying a pair of Uzis in your toolbag. Any true plumber would condemn the actions of these fanatics.

Articles like this only serve to encourage racism and discrimination. Its obviously all part of an international, multi-national campaign to discredit plumbers.

Just ask yourself, “which middle eastern country manufactures Uzis?”

    Allah Plumbar!

    This is just pathetic.

The BBC’s careless reporting of so-called “Plumber-Jihad” that is ongoing is despicable. This will only cause suspicion to fall upon the majority of peace-loving plumbers.

I think it’s time for Plumber Awareness Week to be declared and for the BBC to make amends by reporting on the good work done by plumbers up and down the country.

Shame on you BBC and I hope the next time there is a burst pipe in White City you’ll realise the full value of our non-violent plumbers.
