Debbie Schlussel: For those who are keeping score and just wonder why this would happen and who could possibly be behind it: the UK immigration laws are so lax that the UK allow Muslims to virtually take over London (the rest of England happening soon); they withdraw teaching about the Holocaust in UK public schools so as not to offend Muslims; the London Mayor has no problem with a convicted terrorist (the son of Captain Hooks a/k/a Abu Hamza Al-Masri) working on classified areas of the London Tube and welcomes HAMAS and Muslim Brotherhood figures like Yusuf Al-Qaradawi with open arms; and they greeted the 07/07/05 bombings with more bending over forward and backward to Islamists.

After listening to the first 3 BBC broadcasts of these events I couldn’t believe there was no mention of ME (Muslim Extremists). The 4th broadcast hinted at an ME connection but it was voiced more like an apologetic cough than a possibility. I’m glad no-one was hurt.

I’m London based Irish & can say most of my friends are pro-Israel, unfortunately I can’t speak for the majority. People here just keep on blaming Blair, the Iraq war, Israel & America for every new bomb plot. No one ever blames the terrorists, just their ‘own side’. If you think it’s frustrating to read about it, imagine what it’s like living here.

I have relatives in London who asked me to help them plan a trip to Israel, but the were considering backing out becasue of the trouble in Gaza. I told them Gaza wasn’t on their itinerary (haha). Today, I will remind them that there were no car bombs in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Haifa, etc., but there was one in London. Even other Jews have no idea – ther are probably more radical Islamic terrorists in London then around us here. And the Brtits just love them. Dolts.

Could someone tell me does David Miliband consider himself to be Jewish?
He is clearly Jewish by Halacha (Jewish religious law) because his mother was Jewish by Halacha. Does his ‘Jewishness’ go any further than accident of birth? His father was a Marxist theoretician which suggests the answer is probably ‘no’.
Web research is conspicuously vague. I couldn’t find him saying, “I am Jewish”, anywhere. Even when he talks about the Holocaust he never mentions his background. His website biography doesn’t mention it.
Did he ever receive any Jewish education ❓
Did he celebrate his Bar-Mitzva ❓
Does he ever attend synagogue in a private capacity ❓
If Yom Kippur or Rosh Hashana (major Jewish festivals) fell on a working day where would we find him ❓
Is he a member of any Jewish congregation or take any active part in one ❓
It seems a little strange that Paul Reynolds writing for the BBC thinks,
David Miliband’s Jewish background will be noted particularly in the Middle East.
Israel will welcome this – but equally it allows him the freedom to criticise Israel, as he has done, without being accused of anti-Semitism. I can’t find anything Jewish about the new F.S. at all to justify that remark.
BTW Jews are ‘allowed’ to tell dubious Jewish jokes without being accused of antisemitism not to make false or specious criticism of Israel.
