Some refreshing honesty on BBC News yesterday.

Here are a couple of quotes from BBC reporter June Kelly’s package on the Ten O’Clock News covering the verdicts in the 21/7 terror trial:

“A week earlier, they were part of a group of Muslim fanatics who brought chaos to the London transport system.”

and:

“It was said that these men wanted to stage a bigger and better attack than the 7th of July. They did come very close to causing carnage. A day of terror almost became another day of tragedy.”

Did you spot the ‘M’ word and the ‘T’ word? It was almost enough to make me check that I’d tuned in to the BBC. And just to make sure I hadn’t misheard, here’s a quote from BBC News 24:

“The men convicted today were also Muslim fanatics, intent on suicide.”

I wonder if this is a new departure, or if it’s just the usual BBC sleight of hand where ‘militancy’ abroad becomes terrorism when it happens in the UK.

There was also some balanced coverage of Live Earth. The newsreader on BBC radio both acknowledged criticism of the event and invited a scientist on who said, (I paraphrase), there has been no debate; even if the scientists agree on the cause of global warming, the debate about the best response has to be public. There is no consensus about the best response.

I’ve also noticed a very recent slight shift, but maybe someone high up is on a lefty convention somewhere, and the plebs are taking the mick.

Maybe – just maybe. Someone in Auntie is actually watching what B-BBC is doing.

Alternatively, mayeb somebody is taking notice of the latest Islamo-fascism dominating the news either in Pakistan, UK, USA, Aus.

You cannot help but feel all the news stories of late seem to be about the same thing – Islamic fanaticism, Jihad and the clash with Western principles.

I find it astounding that the BBC and Western journalism as a whole do not see the linkages. What happens here, is related to what is happening in Pakistan etc.

    Let’s not discourage them!!

I’d credit a select FEW at the BBC who genuinely agree with the comments placed here, who every now and then might get the chance to slip some reality into the news. But to say that they are a minority is an understatement.

This is such a minor victory, but just maybe those self-interested Beeboid bastards are starting to feel threatened by the looming masses outside their door.

The BBC have been getting a huge number of complaints, in recent years, about their bias. That is why we’ve seen the lame attempt ,of a report, published recently, talking about the Live8 bias. They are making a small effort because they have to, not because they want to. Many areas of bias are still untouched. The Islamofascist sympathies and anti-Britishness, are probably the most offensive to most of their license payers and attract the most complaints. They will no doubt slip back to their old ways in due course. Their bias is deepy ingrained and all consuming.
