    The PM’s Snot:

I just came across this quote:-

“Newspapers have to sell in order to live; so does commercial TV. That leaves the BBC as the only truly public service medium in this country disseminating information, entertainment, and, in the case of race relations, propaganda. We are unashamed to admit it is what we are doing.”

    – Gerry Hines, BBC Programme Organiser, writing in Race Today sometime before 2005

    At last! The convincing proof!

    Now, what’s it’s source?

Oh…it’s a man who also writes movingly of his, er, affection for Adolf Hitler…

    http://www.ety.com/HRP/walshcomments/20020430.htm

    Sample quote:

Hitler recognised the strengths and weaknesses of his own kind. He sought to educate and make them aware or the dangers that threatened them. He sought to elevate and protect them by using their own spiritual, cultural and physical strength.

    Y-e-e-e-s.

Highly relevant to the Archbish’s remarks….oh, unless you consider this quotation from the man himself:

He stresses that “nobody in their right mind would want to see in this country the kind of inhumanity that’s sometimes been associated with the practice of the law in some Islamic states; the extreme punishments, the attitudes to women as well”.

He may have been naive in the way he said what he said. But he clearly did not suggest British Muslims could choose between suspended sentences from HM courts or a good flogging from the Taliban…

You are doing a sterling job of getting up the respective noses of Hillhunt / Aussie / John Reith…

There’s real venom in their responses, some raw nerves being touched.

Stylistically, they STILL read suspiciously like the same person / people : quotation from poster – literate but sneery response – quick Google search with which to discredit etc.

hillhunt: Sharia “punishments” are already being handed out here in the UK.

Just ho wmany so called honour killings have we had? Sharia courts operate in the UK and I dare say with a bit of digging it woudn’t take much to find more applications of Sharia.

The Archbishop said “nobody in their right minds…” well I would argue that people who follow religion, in particular Islam are not right in the head anyway.

    Hillhunt.

You don’t see the relevance of the ‘Telegraph’ report I refer to (10:50am), and its relation to the ABC and Sharia law.

In that ‘Telegraph’ interview, the Christian, British, victim of Sharia law, Mr. Mitchell, “accused the Archbishop of Canterbury of ‘betraying’ Christians with his comments on Islamic law. He said Dr. Rowan Williams had ‘absolutely no concept of what sharia law is’, because if he did, ‘he wouldn’t have made such a foolish statement’.”

I think that both the ‘Telegraph’ report, and Mr Mitchell’s comments on the ABC and Sharia law are very relevant.

I believe it was the person fixated with Gordon Brown’s nose-produce who dragged out Walsh’s unsourceable quote about the BBC and race propaganda.

I think we all care about credibility of this site and would wish to protect it from those who follow a Master-race agenda.

    Do we not?

I was watching ‘New Tricks’ last night, the victim was a gay Conservative MP, why is it always the Conservatives that the BBC use when a storyline requires a politician to be included in a negative light?.

On a much more positive note for the BBC I found that Newsnight yesterday was excellent, all three guests made valid points, Prof Ramadan was correct in his comment that we should not take the extremists view of Sharia law as how it would be implemented in the UK, Mr Murrary from the Policy Exchange was also on form and knocked back Prof Ramadans claim that he was Islamaphobic, Bishop Hume was clearly out of his depth but his point that the Archbishops comments were taken out of context were (after I read the text of the speech) mostly true.

The debate was also picked up on Netherlands news shows which were debating the Dutch Governments ruling that wearing the Hijab whilst working in schools and other public sector jobs was now illegal, the majority of comments were against Sharia law.

On a negative note EuroNews approach to the Archbishops comments was to interview three Muslims from Manachester who supported his views, just like the BBC (normally) they did not give any other opinion a chance to be heard!, this media station is owned by the EU.

The bottom line is NO religion should have a say in how society defines its laws.

The REAL issue now should be to focus on why we continue to allow barking mad Bishops to sit in the House of Lords.

The time has come to wipe all religion from our legal system.

Would we tolerate or take seriously someone who wanted to include a fairy tale like “Sleeping Beauty” into our legal system? Why do fairy stories like the Bible and the Koran get special treatment?

I can’t help thinking that perhaps something *extremely* newsworthy has happened behind the scenes and needs to be ‘buried’. The Archbishop comes to the rescue with a comment that seems totally out of the blue…

After the recent EU treatment of all things Lisbon Treaty-related (such as the shutting down of discussion reported by Daniel Hannan MEP) and its current passage through the lower house of Westminster, perhaps someone should investigate.

Maybe this is too conspiratorial, but watch out for any quick reaction from trolls or europhiles if a nerve is hit.

The source of this quote appears to be Walsh’s Revisionist website. Put the reference in Google, and all but two of the results are Nazi fellow-travellers.

There’s no independent evidence that such a quote exists. Nor is there any evidence that anyone called Gerry Hines has worked for the BBC…

    We expect Muslims to

    A. Practice the religion of Islam

    whilst

    B. Not acting on the illiberal aspects of Islam.

A liberal democracy cannot curtail anyones right to religion. For that reason a totalitarian thought investigation state must be set up to investigate to see if people are adhering to Islam too strongly whilst permitting the practice of Islam. They justify themselves by saying “if you have nothing to hide you have nothing to fear…”

The most liberal, most realistic, kindest solution is immigration restriction.

Apologies if it looked like demeaning name-calling. My point was that the only obvious source(s) for the contentious Hines quote on BBC race “propaganda” was a slew of neo-Nazi sites. Is this the kind of source material which should be dragged up on B-BBC?

I thought Newsnight gave it the right weight and balance. Paxman was tough but fair on all sides. Ramadan was made to stick to the point while the filmed report gave us the reality of its criminal code and yet was fair to those who point out that Williams was not demanding inclusion of any Taliban stuff.

As far as I am concerned, I would be happy to support any anti Islamist measures(however harsh and brutal)that will help to rid the free west of these evil barbarian slime!

I doubt that you are Australian by birth with such perverted beliefs, my guess is that you are an Islamist yourself perhaps? taking full advantage of a western christian nation while aiming to destroy it from within? Maybe you ought to try living in a muslim country for a while?
Pehaps then you will find out just why so many feel the need to flee from those hellhole cesspits.

Eight-year-old boy sustains serious injuries to his legs, 19-year-old adolescent light-to-moderately hurt when rocket fired by Palestinians in north Gaza lands near residential building in western Negev town; Islamic Jihad’s Al-Quds Brigades claim responsibility

Will the BBC be reporting this anytime soon or is all we’re gong to get out of them is this dated Friday?

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/7234594.stm
Israel says Palestinian militants have continued to fire rockets from Gaza into Israeli territory.

Israeli officials say nearly 20 devices were launched on Friday, causing no injuries and little damage.

Late on Thursday, Israel began cutting back on the electricity it supplies to Gaza from the Israeli grid.

Or, after the “rare” homicide bomb attack in Dimona we’re fed this:
    Israel launches deadly Gaza raids

Note the lack of ‘scare quotes’ around “deadly“.

    Dear Hillhunt,

I weep for my sisters around the world, I weep for the pain and fear and abject misery of countless millions of women who know nothing but pain and slavery! No education for them, no equal rights for them, No life other than that of a farm animal to be used and bartered to suit the needs of an evil and cruel religion.
These women grow up with no hope of rescue and those that do try to flee are hunted down and killed.
Imagine a young girl in the UK growing up with all the freedoms that my ancestors fought so hard for, now imagine the fate of this girl as she is sold for the price of a passport to some village idiot from the hills of Pakistan, now consider her fate if she rebels!
I weep for the evil inflicted on my sisters everyday and anger burns in my heart for the scum who seem to support such cruelty.
