Perhaps the BBC would like to include these pictures of Pakistan as part of its unending ‘Uncovering Pakistan’ series on radio and tv. Or do they conflict with some ‘multiculturalist’ image of Pakistan which the BBC is propagandising?

I wonder if the ‘multiculturalist’ BBC will give as much prominence to this Catholic Cardinal’s “forthright rejection of the ideology of multiculturalism” as it gave to Archbishop Williams’ ‘opaque’ pronoucement on Sharia law? Or will it bury this report as quickly as it did the RUSI report yesterday?

    Give that man a medal.

I made the point before that the BBC regard muslims in a condescending manner just like they do ALL minority groups. They see everything by it’s colour – just like a true racist would. They see muslims as the simple poor, and the indigenous population of the UK as spoilt and ignorant. They despise ANYTHING that isn’t white middle class like themselves, though could never bring themselves to admit it. They live an inner turmoil of what they THINK about the lower orders and what they SAY and DO with regards to them.

This country has been fucked up the arse simply by a collective of middle class guilt.

    George R,

Multiculturalism isn’t ‘prevalent’ at the BBC, they are duty bound to promote it. They promised the government they would as part of a charter review.

One of the aims of BBC3 when it was created, was to ‘promote multiculturalism’.

What I can’t understand is why the news department feel the need to censor the news to prevent public figures/think tanks from airing genuine concerns about multiculturalism.

The BBC, its love for Islam and half the story.

    Kosovo celebrates Independence Day
They had waited so long but just couldn’t wait any longer to celebrate independence. The streets of Pristina have been filled with people cheering and shouting, with cars honking their horns in a continuous cacophony…
Another young man is even more succinct. When I ask him what he thinks he replies with three words, one Anglo-Saxon. Only “off” and “Serbia” are printable….
The authorities desperately hope there is no in-your-face provocation towards the Serb minority here…
Kosovo is one of the few places in the world that people will shake you firmly by the hand and thank you for Britain’s support…
“It’s the most momentous moment for the Albanians here, because we had 500 years of occupation from a really terrible, horrendous occupier,”
    http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/thereporters/markmardell/

Old Mark Mardell of the BBC really promotes the annexation of Kosovo into greater Albania by dint of a higher birth rate a good thing. Gone is any impartial news reporting (would any BBC news reporter air the views of a BNP supporter who said “Fuck off Pakistan”?) and instead we are force-fed a load of tripe. I mean 500 years of occupation? Just whom do the BBC refer to, the Serbs, well seeing as Serbia only came into existence in 1817 that comes to just under 200 years.

Funny enough what the BBC kind of leaves out is that until the Battle of Black Crow the area had no Muslims what so ever. Hell Albania didn’t exist until 1912. And the only Muslims in Kosovo were few and far between. But as I said by dint of a much higher birth rate the minority became the majority and we see Islam shoving its fist into Europe (yet again)

Inflammatory language from little old pounce some will say, but with 6 days of Islamic riots in Denmark. (How many BBC articles on that subject?) riots seen in France, Germany and Belgium and am I the only one who fears for this country. But instead of reporting the news as it should the BBC presents the image of a victim yet again (500 years of occupation indeed) in which to gloss over to the Plebs that country stealing once you get the majority is a good thing.

The BBC, its love for Islam and half the story.

but with 6 days of Islamic riots in Denmark. (How many BBC articles on that subject?)

Very good post Pounce. The BBC did manage to cover the riots in Denmark this morning – admittedly at 7.30am on a Sunday morning (in R4s Sunday programme). And it will come as no surprise that Edward Stourton treated the riots as all the fault of the Danish authorities. A long interview was devoted to haranging the editor of the Danish paper for reprinting the “provocative” cartoon of Mo with a turban/bomb. A Danish Muslim (supposedly also being interviewed) was actually only there to reinforce Stourton’s onslaught. When the Danish editor mentioned the actual offence – a plot to assassinate an elderly cartoonist it was brushed aside. It wasn’t even moral equivalence – it was simply a case that publishing a cartoon in a free society was treated by the BBC as a more heinous offence than plotting to murder a Danish citizen.

The BBC is covering events in Denmark, however. “Danish MP refuses to apologise” is the story they’re running on the Europe page if you want to drill down 5 screens to find it. Oh & ‘demonstrations’ & a picture of a flag. The caption on the picture reads: ‘The attitude of many demonstrators was of resignation rather than anger’ which doesn’t much resemble the firebombing that Reuters have been showing.

More than 20 people have been arrested in Denmark following eight consecutive nights of youth rioting and vandalism across the country, police say. They are suspected of setting fire to buildings, schools, cars and rubbish bins in Copenhagen and other cities. Police say the unrest, which started on 10 February, appears to be subsiding.

For those of you who don’t know. (Pointing the finger at the clones here) Denmark is a small country in Northern Europe.
It is also a part of Scandinavia, which has played a large part in the development of the Modern mobile phone. My point.
    The BBC can bring you breaking news within minutes whenever the Taliban strike in darkest Afghanistan, the same applies to Iraq or Gaza. Not only that but they can even tell just who died. (courtesy of a phone call from the guilty party) I mean Hezbollah terrorist ‘Mughniyeh’ nobody knew what he looked like the BBC posted this about him;
“The FBI’s picture of him on its most wanted list was 20 years out of date, and he is believed to have undergone plastic surgery to dramatically alter his appearance since then.
Yet where the FBI fails the BBC has a recent photo of him (how?) on its obituary to him.

Queen Elizabeth II’s husband, Prince Philip, broke a long silence about his family link to the Nazis, Britain’s Daily Mail reported on Monday.

Of course, the two groups of staff must associate physically, and perhaps some of them at prayer*, or over coffee. Administratively, the finances of the two structures must apparently be kept strictly separate, which must be difficult in practice.

However, I can’t see any proof of continuing Nazi sympathies or evidence of racism that would back Fayeds claims. As I said, “had” seems to be the operative word – after all, I don’t think he was discussing his family’s attitude to the Nazis to boast.

While not wishing in the least to support the despicable Al Fayed I can see that there are are historical grounds for him to make the allegations he made. I also have to say that I believe that the Duke of Edinburgh’s lack of praise of Nazi Germany since the end of WWII probably owes more to political expediency than to a real change of heart. However, the majority are just politically incorrect, and to be honest, even the more unpleasant of his views are probably shared by a large number of his generation. In any case, I very much doubt that the majority of Indians, Scottish or Australians are so desperately insecure about their nationality that they were much offended by his remarks – any more than I would be if someone remarked that the British were crap at cooking and generally pale. There is a world of difference between this and racism of the BNP hue and certainly that peddled by the Nazis, surely.

Bob Geldof praised George Bush during his recent trip to Africa but I don’t remember seeing the BBC cover this story. Here’s the coverage that I found in the Washington Times – “Mr. Geldof praised Mr. Bush for his work in delivering billions to fight disease and poverty in Africa, and blasted the U.S. press for ignoring the achievement.

Mr. Bush, said Mr. Geldof, “has done more than any other president so far.”

“This is the triumph of American policy really,” he said. “It was probably unexpected of the man. It was expected of the nation, but not of the man, but both rose to the occasion.”

“What’s in it for [Mr. Bush]? Absolutely nothing,” Mr. Geldof said.

Mr. Geldof said that the president has failed “to articulate this to Americans” but said he is also “pissed off” at the press for their failure to report on this good news story.”

Now why would the BBC choose not to report this? Anyone would think they were biased against George W. Bush.

Fair enough, but I’m slightly surprised to see a BBBC stalwart acting as a standard bearer for the the politically correct.

    Steady on old chap! 😉

I’m no more willing to excuse the Queen’s consort for having once upon a time expressed admiration of Hitler and the Nazis, and dislike of Jews, than I am willing to make excuses for his grandson wearing a Nazi uniform to a fancy dress party.

Maybe it’s ignorance, maybe stupidity, maybe subconscious racism on their parts, whatever, but I don’t see how drawing attention to it makes me a “standard bearer for the politically correct”.

Yes, that probably did overstate it. It’s the royalist in me.
