A run of the mill story on Beeb NI. But why the link (right hand side) to only one political party when the story does not seem to make it relevant?

nrg: I hope Richard Littlejohn picks up on that one about the Lesbian Communists. Don’t suppose we know if they only had one leg either?

The BBC appeases Bin Laden now with:

“‘New Bin Laden tape’ threatens EU”

NOT “‘New Bin Laden tape’ echoes Hitler in genocidal threat to European people”

Just as in the year 2001, A MONTH AFTER 9/11 (not even mentioned by the BBC below!), the BBC gave us this folksy piece about a young Bin Laden in Oxford with two Spanish girls ( no hijabs or niqabs in sight). There was no BBC criticism of his murderous Islamic jihad future, and none now in its latest reporting of Bin Laden’s
    murderous propaganda.

And another piece of poor BBC reporting

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/7306469.stm

Yet they still find space to attack Israel in what reads like a grudging admission that contrary to the BBC’s reporting at the time of the explosion, that it was a Hamas own goal rather than a IDF attack which caused some Palastinian deaths.

    Bloody useless BBC.

Why doesn’t the BBC also talk about that poll result?

Exactly. And it would be interesting to do a survey to determine how often the BBC parrots Haaretz as opposed to the Jerusalem Post. It’ll probably be around ten to one. They see the JPost as right wing when in fact it is more like centre-right, with a fair sprinkling of left wing journos. In my opinion it’s also a much better paper.

But that the BBC – never let public interest interfere with lefty propaganda.

Exactly. The BBC has no clue at all when it comes to these things. Prices affecting revenue? Who would have thought? Next you will hear that it was the nasty US sub-prime market which caused beef prices to go up, because banks won’t loan money to farmers to by feed grain or something.

After that, Chuffer will learn that the BBC is surprised that farmers who lose crops to bad weather won’t have profits as high as in better seasons.

  8. George R says:

Again, the BBC (along with other MSM) transmits another propagandist message for free from Bin Laden, with NO CRITICISM OF THE MURDEROUS ISLAMIC JIHADIST.

Why did Al Qaeda bother to place its message with Al Jazeera in the first place when Al Beeb is just as obliging and appeasing of the murderous Bin Laden?

In this version of Bin Laden’s message, the BBC throws in some of his anti-Israeli material, without demur.

It is morally wrong and politically unacceptable for the BBC, in pursuit of its agenda of appeasement, to use British licence-payers’ money in this way.

    SLIGHTLY OFF TOPIC:

Anyone aware that Mugabe spokesman Bright Matonga, who the BBC are interviewing to get the latest from the Zanu camp, is himself a former BBC employee. Or that his wife Anne, a white woman from Essex, led one of the invasions of white farms?

    Interesting:

They dutifully report that they are not allowed to report from inside Zim, yet they give the obvious lies and threats of Mugabe’s crooks the stamp of respectability.

Yes, they really like to point out that they’ve been kicked out of Zimbabwe. Makes the BBC sound like it is staffed by bold, investigative journalists rather than PC lefty wimps who had to be dragged kicking and screaming to come up with the mildest criticism of the murderous Mugabe.

The following comment on the BBC’s cosy relationship with Mugabe appeared on the March 18th Open Thread – which is about to fall off the bottom of the page:

Re BBC opposition to China, I’m not so sure. The BBC has covered up China’s blood-soaked support for the genocidal Khartoum regime for years. While China has been quite happy and remains happy with its arms-for-oil deal with Sudan,

    http://www.chinapost.com.tw/china/national%20news/2008/03/15/147204/China-biggest.htm

one can search the BBC’s output and go back years without finding any mention of it. But I guess it could be argued that this is more the result of the BBC’s fawning admiration for the genocidal Islamists in Khartoum than concern for China.
